Roter Milan in Halle (Saale)

The Red Milan is simply amazing. It starts with a very nice waitress who does her job with her heart. It continues with a great meal, which was extremely delicious with love and plenty of decoration, and ends with a very nice interior in which you feel at home as soon as you walk in. We come more often now 😃😊

The portions are very large. The price is completely reasonable. The waitress is also very helpful in answering questions about the food. The location and view is great, and there are also plenty of parking options on site. But you definitely have to make a reservation otherwise it's almost impossible to eat there spontaneously. I can only recommend it.

If I could give 10 stars, that's exactly what I would give this restaurant. Absolutely upper class and very sophisticated gastronomy. Food perfect, wonderfully prepared, taste exquisite. Really big. Service and ambience excellent. That's exactly how you imagine it. Thank you. Perfect and very relaxing, plenty of parking right outside the door. Another plus point. It was a highlight and we will be back. 👍👍👍

Very tasty food, large portions and great price.

Wow, one of the best meals I've ever had for a larger group! So quality and appearance are absolutely top class! Lovingly prepared! Every meat, and there were 20 of us, was absolutely perfect at the moment! The salmon and scampi also tasted very, very good! Ambiance was great as always! The table was also lovingly prepared for our grandma's 85th birthday! 100% for the staff! Top attentive, nice and always friendly! There were also pens and coloring books for the little ones! We had dinner at the red Milan on Saturday after football. Our club won, that was a good start. The restaurant is very cozy, the service is attentive. At the end I rate the food and it was worth the trip. The best garlic soup I have eaten, and the main courses were simply delicious. That was a successful day. The only thing I would complain about is the menu, which is very confusing.

You can choose whether you want to sit in the cozy, rustic ship or in the larger interior. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right, free parking spaces right in front of the door. **Red Milan in Halle - A steakhouse experience in a class of its own** After a long stroll through the Christmas market in Halle, we were hungry and decided on the Roter Milan. What a great decision that was! Established steakhouse chains such as Abaccos, Maredo and Co. can warm up here. The quality of the meat here is not only first class, but simply unsurpassed. Tender and juicy, exactly how you want it. The staff? Extremely attentive and always trying to anticipate every wish. An all-round successful dining experience that we wholeheartedly rate with five stars. 🍽️✨ We'll definitely be back!

We are Australian, on the road travelling from Prague to Amsterdam and needed somewhere for lunch. Many things closed on a Sunday so googled and found Roter Milan. Photos looked ok so put it in the GPS and hoped for the best. We were welcomed by friendly staff and with a bit of laughter through the language barrier, ordered 2 beers and pork schnitzel with bacon and cheese with fries. And that’s exactly what we got, it was simply delicious with a beautiful sauce on top and fresh salad. Delicious meal, good beer, beautiful people and a clean toilet. Danke!

Tafelspitz with horseradish and zander fillet from the grill, those were our orders. What we got was beyond our expectations. The boiled beef with horseradish and the horseradish sauce were lavishly surrounded with crunchy broccoli, carrots and other vegetables, the meat was tender and very tasty. Tafelspitz, as it simply couldn't be better. As a side dish, napkin dumplings. We later found out from the waiter that the cook is from the Czech Republic. No wonder, as an Austrian, I feel a sense of home. The old Bohemian cuisine. A dream! The pike perch fillet - delicately grilled - arrived nice and hot on a large plate, beautifully presented with countless delicious side dishes - a journey of discovery: in a separate pot, a subtle, spicy-sweet sauce, a nest of lettuce with a separate dressing, sweet potato cubes with grilled cocktail tomato halves, etc., etc . Until with the orange slice and date. Pure enthusiasm! And the price - in moderation - is above all something you're happy to pay for such good performance. We would be very, very happy to come back! All the best for the convincingly nice one Landlady and the very friendly waiter! Addendum: Böllberger Weg 2024. A new boulevard for Halle has been built along the Saale in recent years. The approximately 3 kilometers between the city center and Wörmlitz are now in state-of-the-art transport technology. The tram with enough stops. The roadway for cars and bicycles is clearly marked, as are footpaths and crossings with traffic lights. Not to be missed at the end of Böllberger Weg on the right is the restaurant: ROTER MILAN. Right next to it is the HERTZ truck stop.

Tafelspitz mit Kren und Zanderfilet vom Grill, das waren unsere Bestellungen. Was wir bekamen, übertraf unsere Vorstellung. Der Tafelspitz mit Kren und die Krensauce waren üppigst umgarnt mit knackigem Broccoli, Karotten und weiteren Gemüsen, das Fleisch war zart und sehr schmackhaft. Tafelspitz, wie es einfach besser nicht geht. Als Beilage, Serviettenknödel. Später erfuhren wir vom Kellner, daß der Koch aus Tschechien ist. Kein Wunder kommen bei mir als Österreicher Heimatgefühle auf. Die alte böhmische Küche. Ein Traum! ... aber weiter mit dem Urteil meiner Frau: Das Zanderfilet - zart gegrillt - kam schön heiß auf einem grossen Teller, hübsch angerichtet mit unzähligen leckeren Beilagen - eine Entdeckungsreise: In einem seperaten Töpfchen eine dezent-pikant-süssliche Sauce, ein Salatnest nebst seperatem Dressing, Süsskartoffelwürfel mit gegrillten Cocktailtomatenhälften etc., etc. Bis zur Orangenscheibe und Dattel. Begeisterung pur! Und der Preis - in Maßen - vor allem zahlt man gerne bei so guter Leistung. Wir kommen sehr, sehr gerne wieder! Alles Gute für die überzeugend nette Wirtin und den so freundlichen Kellner! Nachtrag: Böllberger Weg 2024. Entlang der Saale entstand in den letzten Jahren ein neuer Boulevard für Halle. Die etwa drei Kilometer zwischen Innenstadt und Wörmlitz sind nun verkehrstechnisch in modernstem Zustand. Die Straßenbahn mit genügend Haltestellen. Die Fahrbahn für Autos, und Fahrräder deutlich gekennzeichnet sowie Fußwege und Übergänge mit Ampeln. Nicht zu übersehen am Ende des Böllberger Weges rechts das Restaurant: ROTER MILAN. Gleich daneben der Autohof HERTZ.

Our favorite restaurant in Halle! The food is more than just delicious. What the chef conjures up in his kitchen is absolutely amazing and very creative! It is very cozy in the Red Milan and the staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely recommended!

Wir waren gestern im Roten Milan...daß erste & letzte mal ,ich empfehle es nicht weiter. Wir würden nach 15minuten bedrängt zu bestellen...die Speise- Getränke Karten ( Gelbe Bätter Folieet) wurden uns mit den Worten " Wir haben nicht soviele davon " weggenommen.Wer zufällig etwas auf dieses Blatt gestellt hatte wurde wieder ermahnt (mit den gleichen Worten wie gerade geschrieben) Ok wir Bestellen dann nach wieder holten ermahnen. Mein Essen war super lecker & schön angerichtet (1 Essen fast 30,00 Euro hätte ich gerne Bezshlt wenn der Service gestimmt hätte) Nach dem Essen wurde sich über uns garnicht mehr gekümmert. Die Gläser von den Getränken waren leer,keiner fragt nach ob wir noch etwas möchten ...die Kellerner laufen am Tisch vorbei und nehmen nichts leeres mit. Nach einer 1/2 ist unser Freund nach vorne gegangen und hat sein Bier bestellt. Ob wir noch etwas möchten wie Nachttisch( was einige wollten wurde nicht nachgefragt) Aus protest haben wir nichts mehr bestellt da sich eh keiner um uns gekümmert hat. Dem Tisch neben uns haben wir mitbekommen ging es genauso.Wir bestellen eine große Cola dann wurde noch mal Nachgefragt kein Problem die Jungen Kellnerinen sieht man die Überforderung an. Genau soetwas ist Chef Sache die Leute zu Leiten. Es kommt natürlich eine kleine Cola...die Kellerin möchte jemand von ihnen die kleine "Nein" dann wieder lange keine Getränke...ok wir bezahlen...wer mit Karte bezahlt soll nach vorne kommen (wo gibt es den soetwas...sie haben an den Tisch zu kommen) ging doch dann auch .Es ist nicht zu Empfehlenda der Service Überfordert ist und nach der Bestellung vom Essen sich keine mehr um einen gekümmert hat. Ach ja unserer Freundin der das Essen überhaupt nicht gerecht und geschmeckt hat wurde nicht mal Nachgefragt und einen Ersatz hat sie auch nicht bekommen..

Food had to be ordered immediately because the waiting times were supposedly too long. Rosemary roast was not as we know it. After eating you felt left alone to order drinks. It's not worth going there again

We were in Roten Milan for the first time at the weekend. It was so delicious, delicious, beautifully prepared. Yes, many restaurants can do that. But what not every restaurant can do: The service was SO great, so incredibly insightful, open-minded, fast, approachable, uncomplicated and friendly. That makes the Milan an absolute gem and I would like to feel so welcome in every restaurant. An example: The child doesn't know homemade spaetzle and didn't like the dish (but it was extremely tasty, we really enjoyed the leftovers!). The service noticed this without being asked and independently and (after asking, in coordination with us parents) brought the child a portion of fries on the house. How sweet! We had SUCH a GREAT lunch! Second example: we called at 12 p.m. to request a table for four people. Of course, in the hustle and bustle, no one answered the phone. We were called back at 12:10 p.m. Unusual. And that was our entire experience at Red Milan. Thank you very much, we will recommend you and really enjoy our next visit with you - such great cuisine, such exceptional service.

We were there today and our conclusion: yes, it was ok but the service still needs to be worked on. First of all the menu, a total mess. If you don't pronounce it correctly, you'll be told that it's called something like that. Then you stand behind the counter and stir the beer until it is foamy. And please, dear team, if you're going to make fun of the guests, then please don't make it so obvious. Apparently and very obviously they weren't happy with a 5 euro tip. The food and drink was good but I wouldn't go there again.

In the Red Milan you can eat very well in an extraordinary ambience. The dishes on offer are varied and freshly prepared. Accordingly, the menu is not as extensive as in the "standard" restaurants, but this also indicates quality. For children, traditional dishes are offered in small portions, such as schnitzel with fries. The boss is also extremely friendly and helpful. I would come by again at any time.

A very unusual card, but still something for everyone. The food came very quickly and it was very tasty. The service was very nice and cash and card payments are possible. I recommend calling ahead and reserving a spot.

We have eaten here several times and are always thrilled. Consistently friendly service, well prepared and delicious food. Even my husband's special requests were taken into account and fulfilled to his satisfaction. We can only recommend this restaurant and that's why you get full marks from us.

The hand-drawn menu, which changes regularly, offers a wide selection of meat dishes. The service is extremely friendly and the waiting times remain within a very acceptable range. The food comes beautifully presented on large plates, the presentation is detailed and appetizing. The taste of the food is impressive: the meat is well prepared, the vegetables are crunchy and not overcooked - a plus point for the kitchen. The option to pay by card also makes the whole thing uncomplicated. Overall, the restaurant is worth recommending: atmosphere, service and food quality ensure an all-round successful experience.

I was invited and drove past without knowing the location - there is a car dealership right in front of it! Once you're over - do another big lap! But then: everything was rustically furnished - wooden chairs and tables inside and outside - I liked it. Funny card design with a manageable range - completely sufficient and quite tasty. Prices are up to the landlord - what can you say - it's definitely an experience to stop by there. Service was quick and friendly - food was good - can be recommended.

Everything was perfect here, very good parking directly in front of the entrance. Restaurant in the style of a ship is something special. The food was very good and the selection of dishes was something different. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The only point of criticism was the menu, which was very difficult to read.

We actually come to eat regularly, mostly on Sundays, and are always satisfied, great service, great food, but today we went out to eat on a Thursday, out of turn, and had the feeling that something was wrong in the kitchen and several guests at the neighboring table were eating returned, I had the large shish kebab, which unfortunately was only completely cooked, dry shoe soles. Otherwise the steaks are always juicy and soft, I actually eat rare. Today was not satisfactory for the high price. Therefore a star deduction. Either there is a new chef or a trainee at the stove, but unfortunately this had nothing to do with the known quality today. We'll still be back, hopefully with the usual quality.

Since the owner didn't like my opinion about the service and threatened me with a defamation lawsuit, I hereby withdraw my original post. The food was very good, as was the ambience. We have been here twice now and have been disappointed twice. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The menu is very messy, there is no good selection. Either it is with cheese or with mushrooms. For really very high prices there is only a small portion and we didn't really like it either. The second star goes to the presentation of the food.

The food was excellent, even if a vegetarian doesn't find anything at first glance, at second glance there was a lot and we were helped a lot when we asked. The atmosphere, especially outside, was very nice on the sunny day. The only deduction is actually for the drinks. Unfortunately the cola came warm and there were no ice cubes. On such days it is particularly stupid to drink warm drinks.

Were here with 6 people - the dishes were all very tasty and visually very appealing. However, the dessert (baily cake - very tasty) contained pieces of walnuts - not fun if you have a nut allergy. We didn't assume that and weren't there. But the service tried to fix everything. However, one waitress stood out because of her whimsical manner. The restaurant closes at 10 p.m. - we were the last guests at 9:30 p.m. - they wanted to close - we were made aware of this. Unfortunately, the space was not optimally prepared for such a restaurant (food from 25 euros and up). Reading the memory card was very difficult - we don't think it's suitable

Service wonderful. The menu's presentation is special. Prices are appropriate for the quality. Gladly again. Location above the Saale. The Böllberger Weir was always acoustically present.

Food and drinks are very nicely presented, but the taste is a little flat. Some dishes were too salty for our taste and some dishes were too bland, so the dishes were nothing special considering the price. Very expensive in terms of price. Ambiance was good with a nice outdoor area. Service was a little brisk but ok. In my opinion, a one-off visit is worth it, but it won't be a regular meeting.

You don't expect such excellent food when you stand in front of the restaurant. The pirate atmosphere seems like a tourist trap at first, but the opposite is true. The dishes are anything but standard and the portions are almost too big. The service is attentive and you feel comfortable.
