Don Camillo in Halle (Saale)

A great pub with good food and a genuine atmosphere. Really good. But...the prices...I don't know, they're much too high. So many people come...there's no need to make everything so expensive. And unaffordable for those who are less well-off.

One of the best bars in Halle. Great staff and selection of drinks, always had a good time here.

I ended up in Halle, lonely and alone. Needing something to eat, I wandered the streets and finally ventured in here. I received a warm welcome and some innocent advice about the food. I was recommended "Schnitzel mit Gewürzfleisch" (spiced meat schnitzel). I would never have ordered that, but I thought, "When in Halle, do as the Halle residents do." And indeed, the food was very, very delicious. As other reviews have described, everyone knows everyone here. And I was right in the middle of it all. I never felt uncomfortable and just sat at the bar a bit like a local. Much, much better than some anonymous tourist bar.

We ended up at the bar yesterday because it was one of the few bars open past 11pm. The service was nice and okay, but as a woman I haven't felt so uncomfortable in a long time. There were only men in the bar and the atmosphere was very sexist. After just a few minutes we were chatted up in a stupid and suggestive manner by some drunken men. The mood is supported by a saying in the menu: “The monk already knew that beer awakens men's desire”. From now on I'll give this bar a wide berth...

Every visit is an experience—quaint and cozy, just as you'd imagine! Host Erik is a true gem! Always happy to return.

It's not a restaurant, not a pub, it's simply a pub where you can feel good and meet up with friends and families. Service is very friendly and helpful. Food is okay. Everything tastes good and the portions are decent. There should be more bars like this. But Don Camillo remains the undisputed number one Greetings from Ramona, Jürgen, Siegfried and Yorki Bruno.

Rustic atmosphere with an old confessional and a Don Camillo figure under the ceiling. We felt very welcome. The innkeeper was there with enthusiasm and jokes. The friendly waitress had everything in view, top service. The different schnitzel dishes were all delicious. Ate well, prices were right and we really liked the mix of pub and gastronomy.

Wow, such a great pub!!! Really as real as before. Italian name but really typically German. There is also food. Great furnished. Wonderful service, very friendly and attentive!!!! Our food was very tasty. We'll be back

Very nice service and good atmosphere. It feels like everyone knows everyone there, but you still don't feel like a stranger. Price/performance top. The selection of food is small, but completely sufficient. But everything is fresh. Portion very generous. Very good German cuisine.

Man fühlt sich willkommen, Erik reißt sich immer ein Bein aus damit niemand verdursten muss und die Pommes sind endgeil. Der Besuch des Don ist wie "nach Hause" kommen, meine absolute Lieblings-"Kneipe". In einer perfekten Welt wäre ich jeden Tag dort ;)

Had noodles with Jägerschnitzel and spiced meat. The noodles were overcooked, the sauce was bland and the seasoned meat wasn't good either. I wouldn't go here again to eat, but it's fine to drink.

Very good mood. Great service. Totally relaxed audience. Schnitzel is the main thing. If you love it, it's totally delicious. Freshly made.

Interieur zum Wohlfühlen. Der Wirt ist das,was man erwartet,er gehört zum Don,wie die Wolken an den Himmel. Im Sommer draußen sitzen unterm Sonnendach ist bis in die späten Abendstunden sehr reizvoll.Das Publikum ist gemischt vom Hausmeister bis zum Professor. Vom Wein, Bier, Aperol,Limo ist alles vorhanden. Die Preise sind der heutigen Zeit angepasst,aber nicht überzogen.

Urige Kneipe mit Bier Cocktail und Essen , Qualität und Preise sind ok . Da kann man mal wieder hin.

Interiér hospody nezažijete jen tak někde. Věkem je stará sice jen 27 let, ale sbírka kostelového nábytku vás vtáhne do atmosféry před 100 lety. Dobré jídlo (otestovali jsme cibulový řízek), specifická nabídka piv a ochota personálu by byla na plný počet hvězdiček. Jednu ale dávám dolů za nemožnost platit kartou.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung und angenehme Atmosphäre. Inmitten der Sternstrasse zwischen allerlei anderer Restaurants befindet sich das Don Camillo. Positiv überrascht waren wir von der schnellen Zubereitung unserer bestellten Speisen. Optisch auf jeden Fall sehr ansprechend, jedoch sind die Portionsgrößen recht überschaubar. Für den Preis hätte es ruhig etwas mehr sein können. Geschmacklich waren die Pommes ok, aber auch nichts besonderes. Von den Restaurants in der Straße sicherlich eines der besseren, ein Besuch lohnt sich also :)

Also muss sagen eine g...le schöne Inneneinrichtung bin echt überrascht wie schön die Restaurants in der Straße sind .....Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt

Wie immer ein tolles Ambiente und ein toller Gastgeber. Das schmeckt das Bier noch leckerer.

Samstag, kurz nach 20.50... die Bestellung... nein, keine Makkaroni mehr, das Dressing... nein, das auch nicht mehr... Alle können verstehen was in den letzten Monaten mit den Gastronomen passiert ist und wie dumm fehlende Gäste sich auswirken. Doch Leute... Makkaroni, Dressing und solche Dinge, wenn sie zum Gericht gehören und keine Extras darstellen... die können nicht "aus" sein. Dann überarbeitet das Angebot oder den erforderlichen Bestand. Ansonsten, freundliche und um Lösungen bemühte Bedienung, die ein Danke verdient.

Schönes Lokal, schön auch im Sommer zum Draußensitzen. Kleine Speisekarte mit frischen Speisen. Wir haben dort sehr lecker gegessen, alles war frisch zubereitet. Sehr freundlicher Service.

Пивной бар/паб с огромным выбором разных напитков. Небольшое помещение внутри и несколько десятков столов на улице. Обслуживание быстрое, еда как закуска к пиву нормальная, цены стандартные. Совет для бизнес-путешественников - говорят, что принимают American Express, но при оплате оказывается, что терминал карт таких не знает, так что рассчитывать на это не стоит. В остальном - очень достойно.
