We spontaneously decided to eat here. The food was very good and plentiful. Top-notch service and very friendly. We'd love to come back again.

Our favourite shawarma restaurant in Halle. Excellent food, friendly service. Cannot understand the comments about being messed around with the bill, we have only had good experiences. We come here regularly and will definitely be back 👍 Edit 18/11/2025. Visited again, another positive experience. The Mix Vorspeise is now served with toum and shatta as well as muttabal, baba ghanoush and hummus. The food here is genuinely very authentic, comparable to some of the breakfast and shawarma restaurants I have been to in the Levant. My partner and I think the owner could charge more for the food than he does. Highly recommended.

Delicious food at a very good price

What an absolutely amazing restaurant! Friendly staff, fresh & delicious food, barbecue options that smell-up the entire street, and amazing service overall! The food is very, very tasty, made with fresh ingredients and well presented. The restaurant also makes their own very delicious bread that they give you for free, including hot, tasty tea. The barbecue options are mouth watering. Honestly, it is hard to put in words how great this place is, and I can only wish them the best of luck, in hopes that they won't close anywhere time soon, as this is our top choice of a restaurant. With all that said, a few things I would love to see change: - Broader range of delivery options. We live not too far from the restaurant, but we cannot order a delivery, as the focus range is towards the city center, and not the other way. - More sauce options for things like pommes. Would love to see a sweet-ish tomato sauce served, but not from packets. - Expansion. This place can easily grow to be something more, but the space limitations really hinder the growth of atmosphere and quantity of people who want to dine-in, especially during colder seasons when dining outside isn't an option.

Absolutely delicious food! For €12.50, the two of us could easily eat our fill of shawarma, or even better, the chicken/lamb skewers with rice, which also came with a really tasty coleslaw. You can watch the food being prepared, make requests, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Fortunately, I'd already been warned by previous reviews that they're prone to "miscalculations" when paying, otherwise I might not have noticed. Apparently, there's a system in place here. It's a shame—otherwise, the food was OK, and the fallaffel plate was good.

One of the best Arabic restaurants. The kebab meal is rich and varied with many additions. Delicious meat and a beautiful setting. Tea after the meal and a beautiful reception. Highly recommended.

The place is good and clean and the service is excellent, but the quality of the dishes needs to be reviewed.. From the choice of meat cuts to the ingredients used in preparation of fat, lard, oil and salt. The rice, for example, was not good and the garlic sauce tasted of fat. 💔 The bread was delicious, as were the potatoes, hummus and tabbouleh.. 🤍 I hope that a chef or a taster of oriental dishes will be consulted to evaluate and improve the dishes. If I could give more than 5 stars, I honestly would. I've tried a lot of restaurants in Germany, but this one is definitely one of the best. The food was absolutely amazing, and the dining experience was fantastic. The waiter was extremely nice and friendly. On top of that, it took only about 10 minutes for the food to be ready. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the restaurant is very family and kid-friendly. You can choose to sit either inside or outside. We ordered shawarma, marina, crispy, and kebab. Every bite was on point, and especially the kebab and marina were out of this world. The appetizers and sauces were incredibly tasty, and I honestly don’t have a single thing to criticize. Also the homemade bread and tea were delicious. If you're visiting Halle, this place is a must-try!

The Albalad Restaurant in Halle (Saale) is really a real asset! Syrian food is incredibly delicious and authentic - every dish is a delight and reflects the diversity of Syrian cuisine. I was particularly impressed by the fresh ingredients and the perfectly balanced spices. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel immediately welcome. The atmosphere is warm and invites you to linger. The location is also ideal as the restaurant is very central and easily accessible. I would highly recommend Albalad Restaurant to everyone – a great place to enjoy good food and take a little culinary trip to Syria!

Main courses range between 8.50 and 16 euros. I start with hummes accompanied by homemade bread. A little too tahini-heavy for me, but a solid start. It continues with “Mix grill (1 sp lamb 1 sp chicken 1 minced meat 1 st lamb cutlet)”. Grilled to perfection, with delicious side dishes. At the end I am given tea and a delicate piece of baklava. “You were in Syria with this meal,” the man at the cash register beams at me. I like to think so, and I'm not sure it would have tasted as good if the menu had been in standard German. “We have no other branches” is also written on the map. And I know I'll be back. At least for the grilled fish I saw at the next table. Conclusion: Syrian delicacies - only here. Visit again after 6 months: one tells me muhammara with bread costs €5, the other says the basic price already includes bread, card reader "doesn't work"...

We ate there for the first time today. We always wanted to do it because the plates looked really good when we walked past and today was finally the day. What can I say... 10/10 for this food and the service. We had Baba Ganoush as a starter, 2x kibbe, the mix grill plate and a falafel wrap - every single dish was incredibly intense and, above all, extremely freshly prepared. As if this wasn't enough, we were given free tea and baklava for dessert... we have also visited other charcoal grills in Halle, but none of them come close to this one in terms of price/performance! We paid €31 for 2 people including a coal and the free add-ons... we'll definitely be back and especially with more friends. This is the perfect shop if you want to try some interesting dishes with friends, have a variety of things put on the table and everyone can try all the dishes! Unbeatable for the price... try it! ☺️

I'm mad as the sauce on my Dürüm. Vegetables tasted like cucumber water, sauce was pure mayo and Dürüm tasted like pancakes. All in all a huge flop like Rudy at Schalke. Ciao
