⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had our Christmas party today at the Römer Keller in Heitersheim and would book this venue again in a heartbeat. A rustic, cozy atmosphere combined with consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming service. The food was classic German, hearty, and simply excellent. The whole team thoroughly enjoyed it, and we were more than satisfied. Exactly what a tradesman's heart desires. A particularly positive aspect was that we were able to stay for a very long time and relax without ever being politely asked to leave. Here, you can truly celebrate undisturbed without bothering the neighbors or feeling uncomfortable. Dear Roland, a very heartfelt thank you to you and your team for this wonderful evening. We will definitely be back.

A very nice, rustic cellar, formerly a wine cellar, now a restaurant, offering various schnitzel and cordon bleu dishes, but also delicious rump steaks. We had our Christmas party there, and everyone was very impressed and would love to come back.

Everything was absolutely fantastic – from the crisp field salad to the perfectly cooked schnitzel and the sensational fries (you rarely find them this good!). You can taste the love and skill that goes into the cooking. The waitress was quick and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere in the old vaulted cellar perfectly complemented the experience. A place where everything is just right – we'll definitely be back!

We happened upon the Römerkeller for something delicious to eat. What a beautiful cellar restaurant! The ambiance is truly second to none 👍 We got a table right away without any problems and were served very friendly and quickly. My better half opted for the roast pork, and I opted for a baked schnitzel. Both were delicious and more than enough. Both dishes arrived quickly, and everything was piping hot. The value for money is truly top-notch. We had absolutely nothing to complain about that evening at the Römerkeller, and we'll definitely be back! Full marks

I ate there with the Cabrio group on Sunday and was absolutely thrilled.

We were there during the week around 6 p.m. We got a table without a reservation. The waiters were all very friendly, and the food was excellent.

Wonderful vaulted cellar. Excellent food. We were delighted. Large portions for hearty meals. Reservations recommended.

We were really looking forward to the meal, as we've been here twice before. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this time. With the cordon bleu, we suspected that the cheese had been forgotten, as we were almost halfway through when we finally found it. The cheese was good (as was the cordon bleu), but there was far too little. We complained about the wine spritzer, as the wine was only a hint. Several empty glasses had accumulated on the table over the course of the evening, and we had to ask the waiter to clear them away. She then took two empty glasses with her. We weren't asked for any additional drinks. The waiter wasn't particularly attentive in general either. The biggest disappointment was the surprise dessert. There were three bowls: 1. poppy seed cream, incredibly sweet, but otherwise fine, 2. a bowl of canned mandarin orange slices, and 3. panna cotta, topped with an incredibly sweet, artificial-tasting cherry sauce. The panna cotta had a strange taste, as if it had absorbed the flavor of other foods from the refrigerator. This was complained to the waitress. The canned mandarins were ignored, the panna cotta was covered, and there had never been any complaints. For us, it was our last visit to the Römerkeller.

Very good food, friendly service, and the dining room is a real eye-catcher with a cozy feel. This time I sat in the small outdoor area right by the street, but thanks to the few plants they've placed, you quickly forget you're sitting on the street (20 km/h zone).

The food was delicious, the service very friendly, but the outdoor area, right on the street, wasn't particularly inviting. However, the atmosphere inside the restaurant itself was very cozy and inviting.

We were really looking forward to eating at the Römerkeller based on the great reviews, but we were unfortunately disappointed. The food was delicious, but we waited an hour for it, which wouldn't have been a problem. However, no further drink orders were taken during that time, so we were left high and dry in over 30-degree heat. No server even came near our table to alert us. One dish was ordered with fried potatoes instead of fries. When fries arrived (not a problem, but something that can happen when you're stressed), and we politely pointed out that we had ordered fried potatoes, the server was incredibly rude, looked at her notepad, and said snippily, "Yes, I'll just get you your fried potatoes!" Furthermore, when the food finally arrived, it was cold (spätzle). When the server then asked if everything was okay and we said that the spaetzle were unfortunately cold, she then asked us, annoyed, if she should bring us more spaetzle. Like that? We declined with thanks! At least they didn't charge us for the spaetzle afterwards, which was very nice. So, the wait, the wrong order: basically no problem, but the rudeness was truly unbelievable. Besides, when you order, you probably expect all the dishes to be served at the same time and warm. It seemed to us as if the spaetzle had been sitting for a while before the other people's food was ready. Besides, it wasn't crowded! There were plenty of seats available. Unfortunately, this was our last visit...

The schnitzel was cooked to perfection, and I highly recommend the baked cheese version. I would have taken a photo, but by the time I thought about it, everything had already been eaten 😄

We were thrilled! A wonderful family business with heart and taste! Chef Roland, his wife, and their children all work together as one. Excellent service! The food is fantastic. The potato soup, the salad, the antipasti plate, and the meat platters were all outstanding. The dessert of chocolate moussa, muffin, fruit, and pudding was a perfect ending. The ambiance in the basement is fitting. The restroom is lovingly and practically furnished. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back. It's rare that everything fits together for me! Eating in an atmospheric Roman cellar

We always enjoy coming to the Römerkeller in Heitersheim. In summer you can sit outside in the pedestrian zone, but on colder days we really like the rustic atmosphere. We feel warmly welcomed, the food is great, everyone always enjoys it, our (sometimes strange) special requests are always possible and last but not least, the price is absolutely reasonable. The cuisine is honest and to the point. In everything you can tell that there is heart behind it and that no powders are mixed together. The eyes are also there, the kids are always happy about the decorations. Unfortunately you won't be able to get rid of us, we'll definitely see each other again soon. :) Thank you so much for doing such a great job.

The ambience was fantastic. A man comes in and goes straight into a small vaulted cellar. Very stylish and comfortably furnished. The staff was also very friendly, especially the chef. The food was incredibly tasty and our children really liked it too.

We were on vacation nearby and spontaneously called in the afternoon and asked if there was room for the two of us in the evening and we were lucky. Unfortunately, the landlady had to send guests away throughout the evening because the restaurant was completely full. And that's how you want it for the innkeepers. The food was absolutely delicious and exactly what we expected. Simple home-style cooking.

A pleasure every time😋 This time we visited the Römerkeller. They were also very enthusiastic. The meat is deliciously tender, the spaetzle is on point and the sauces are a dream. The dessert also left nothing to be desired. The staff was super friendly as always :)

Very nice restaurant in the old cellar, with an outdoor area when the weather is good. The food was plentiful and very tasty 😋, friendly attentive service, very cheap for the delicacies. Could easily charge a few euros extra! We were very satisfied and will come back when we are in Sulzburg next year!

Because of the good food I went there with my daughters for dinner two days in a row. The schnitzels baked with onions, Münster cheese and raw ham are simply amazing! We also enjoyed the simple side salad and spaetzle with wild mushrooms. The staff is busy, but always extremely friendly. An absolute recommendation!

Go here if you want to eat proper Schnitzel or other German food in a very cosy restaurant. We’ve got some salad to start, which had a nice taste. The Schnitzel I had was awesome, it included mushrooms & bacon both from the Black Forest. And topped off with some cheese. The flavor did not disappoint at all. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish the dish. Best of all? We’ve got a doggy bag home! I wouldn’t recommend dessert, which is just some fried apple.

Was a guest at the "Römerkeller" in Heitersheim for the second time and was absolutely thrilled again this time. Great team, rustic ambience in a Roman vaulted cellar with a show kitchen, where the boss wields the pots and pans himself and excellent, freshly prepared food at a really more than fair price-performance ratio. I can only warmly recommend this culinary pearl in the middle of Heitersheim, because here guests get real quality for their money. Many thanks to the whole team at “Römmerkeller”! No question, we'll definitely see each other again. I'm happy to take the route from Binzen.

The Römer Keller is a small, very nice restaurant. The old vaulted cellars offer a very special atmosphere and the food is also very good. Price-performance ratio is right and the staff is very attentive. We would definitely eat here again. :)

El local es espectacular, acogedor y se come tremendamente bien, el servicio genial y el dueño es un krack que está al quite de todo y es el cocinero y vamos a repetir. Es de verdad un buen sitio y además barato lo cual nos sorprendió por la calidad y cantidad de comida.

Leckeres Essen zu guten Preisen, guter Service, hat sehr gut gepasst.

Wir waren nun bereits zum zweiten Mal im Römerkeller und fanden es beim zweiten Mal genauso super, wie beim ersten Mal. Wir hatten einen Salat mit Pute, ein Spargelgericht und die Kids haben die Kinderkarte genutzt. Die Portionen sind ausreichend und die Bedienung ist sehr nett. Was uns besonders erstaunt hat, war ein Detail der Bestellung vom ersten Mal. Das ist außergewöhnlich. :) Zum Abschluss empfinden wir das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wirklich top und werden ziemlich sicher wieder kommen.
