Ristorante San Remo in Lübeck

It was reserved for a private party. We had fun and enjoyed good food and drinks. A fantastic location on the Trave River.

Very tasty and extremely friendly service. The pesto and bread are a dream!

I have to say, I haven't had such a good pizza in a long time. My allergies were also taken into account, and our server was very friendly and, above all, competent with all the questions and challenges that came with them. I can only thank you; it was a very pleasant evening.

Met een prachtig uitzicht op de Trave was onze verwachting hoog gespannen. We worden ook vaak blij verrast door Italiaanse restaurants in Duitsland. Restaurant San Remo viel tegen. Het brood bij de bruschetta was taai. De vulling voornamelijk gesnipperde tomaat. En de in de salade misto overheerste ook al de sla en de tomaat. Ook een paar olijven, verder weinig gevuld.

Tuvimos un muy buen almuerzo a un precio razonable. Extenso gluten - opciones libres. Personal muy competente en inglés, mucho más servicial que algunos otros en la zona. Muy recomendable.

San Remo is an Italian restaurant on the Trave River with seating directly on the Trave, across the street, directly in front of the restaurant, and, of course, inside. The service is exceptionally friendly, wine and any type of aperitif can be enjoyed quickly and without pressure, and the food is delicious, ideal with bruschetta as a starter.

Three of us came here for lunch today and sat outside. The pizza tasted good, everything was clean and tasteful, and the service was friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Very, very crowded... The seating felt cramped. Very loud. A "once upon a time" atmosphere. But...very good food... That's why we came here again. Very friendly service.

Cold food and rude service We informed the waitress that our food was cold. The answer was: No, that's not the case here! My wife repeated that the noodles were cold. The waitress assumed my wife was lying! I explained to him that they shouldn't argue with customers and should instead find a solution! The entire dish was tasteless, lacking in seasoning, and not even warm! It's a shame, but we won't spend our money there again and will also advise other people not to eat there!

We were out and about and spontaneously stopped into the restaurant. Friendly staff, delicious food. Prices are reasonable. We got pizza scissors with the pizza.

We're repeat offenders, and we deliberately and purposefully went to the San Remo. Because we wanted it to be a lovely evening. We treated ourselves to sparkling wine as an aperitif, and red wine and water for dinner. Luckily, the wine we wanted was out of stock, but the alternative recommended by our waiter, Deniz, was very good. The food, after a small mixed salad, consisted of spaghetti with strips of rump steak, olives, red onions, and sun-dried tomatoes in a tomato and white wine sauce, as well as pizza with marinated shrimp, olives, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil, which were top-notch and very tasty. For our digestif, we opted for grappa; Deniz's recommendation was spot on. But the sight of the dessert from the neighboring table made us falter, so we also ordered the delicious crème brûlée. And: It was a successful evening in a pleasant atmosphere, to which Deniz contributed in no small part with his friendly, relaxed manner. Many thanks to the entire San Remo team. Update November 1, 2022: Once again, we were not disappointed at Ristorante San Remo: Gratinated feta cheese with pumpkin puree to start, followed by spaghetti with shrimp or rump steak with Mediterranean vegetables. Accompanied by a good Merlot (house wine) and, inevitably (😉), a grappa. And just like last time: Everything was delicious. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Update July 7, 2023: Repeat offender. And: Delicious again, food and drink to match the special day. 😊 Thank you. 😊 Today: Rump steak (perfectly cooked!) with chanterelle mushrooms à la crème and fried potatoes. Update September 15, 2023 What should I report? 🤔 We spent a wonderful sunny evening ☀️ on the Trave 🚤, which was topped off with delicious food and drinks 🥗🍷🍝. Not to mention the friendly, attentive service. What more could you want? - We'll be back "anyway." 😉 Update February 14, 2025 Actually, all the seats were booked on Valentine's Day. However, we were offered a table at short notice, which we gladly accepted. It was as always: friendly, attentive service, delicious food and drinks. Sorry, dear San Remo team, you won't get rid of us. We'll be back! Update June 9, 2025 Spontaneously, after visiting the wine festival, we wanted something delicious, something festive. Our path led us - once again - to San Remo. And again, we were not disappointed. Drinks, appetizers, pizza - everything was delicious. We'd go back anytime!

As always, super attentive, friendly, but not intrusive service, and delicious food. It would be nice if they also offered decaffeinated espresso/cappuccino, and perhaps a standard fish and meat dish.

Far from Italian food. Paying almost €23 for a plate of pasta, the quality has to be better. Please make more of an effort.

We celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary with wonderful food and great service at San Remo. We chose this restaurant because we're big VFB Lübeck fans. We weren't disappointed. The lasagna is highly recommended. This won't be the last time we're here. Thank you for the lovely evening!

I was looking forward to a good pizza, but was unfortunately disappointed. Instead of classic Italian dishes, there are unusual variations like Hawaiian pizza or asparagus pizza – a matter of taste, but not what you would call Italian cuisine. The pizza arrived cold, even though it advertises a baking temperature of over 490°C. In fact, it was only heated under a salamander, which meant it was neither crispy nor seemed fresh. The dough was very thin, and the toppings were more or less floating on top – not very flavorful. Overall, unfortunately, not a recommendation if you're expecting authentic Italian pizza.

Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the food due to the service staff not being able to serve us. She ignored us after several attempts to speak to her. So we decided to leave after 45 minutes. This was not a pleasant experience as I have never voluntarily left a restaurant without eating. If I could I would give a 0 star rating, but unfortunately this is not possible!

Unfortunately I can't rate the quality of the food because we were ignored by the service staff for 30 minutes and so we left the restaurant at some point. It's a shame, because the neighbors' plates looked delicious and we were really hungry in our luggage... I've honestly never experienced anything like that!

Very tasty restaurant. I can recommend both the truffle pasta and the truffle pizza. We were lucky and got a seat right by the water so we could enjoy the food perfectly. The small minus point is that both the children's pizza and the pasta cost €10. For a children's meal, even though the portion was very fair, it was a bit expensive.

We ordered Apérol Spritz. A 0.2l glass was served, including 0.1l of ice, lots of water, orange, prosecco (?) and a touch of aperitif. Not recommended for an aperitif.

It's OK, unfortunately not anymore. Had carbonara, which tasted like a lot of parmesan on top. The prices are probably due to the location. High rent, high prices. It was nice, but it didn't change my life. Don't take American Express.

We were very excited. Very fresh and extremely well prepared steak with asparagus and buffalo mozzarella ravioli. In addition, the waiter Deniz served us very well and professionally. We'll be back!

My first time here. Apart from the very cozy outdoor seating, the restaurant is also really nice. Every seat was taken. Nevertheless, you could have a good conversation and not feel disturbed. The service was as you would expect. Attentive and caring. According to the GDPR, you can't mention names in online reviews, but there certainly aren't that many nice young men there. Anyway, thank you from the whole family for a really nice afternoon with delicious food and such great service.

We went for Sunday brunch and it was very good. The service, the food and the selection, there is nothing to complain about 😁. It was always refilled so that nothing was ever missing.

I went to San Remo with friends for Sunday brunch. First of all, I have to praise the chefs who always made sure that everything was freshly refilled and you never had to wait until something was back. Then I thought the selection was great. It was only a small one but there was still something for everyone. No matter whether pasta, scrambled eggs, salami and cheese or even croissants and chocolate fountains. For us it was a successful brunch and we will come back often.

Food was good quality. Unfortunately, the food was rather lukewarm, rather than warm or, better yet, hot. Probably because it's in warming containers. Service/cooks as always top and price/performance as well. The selection of pasta dishes could have been more or the antipasta. But that's complaining at a high level. Always happy to come back.

The food was excellent, I have never had such delicious ravioli before. My loved one had a very delicious drink (passion fruit spritz). The two waiters were friendly. The wardrobe is a bit too small for winter and unfortunately there was only one dessert left. Both just small things. I'll be happy to come back.

We reserved a table online and everything went great. Table was nicely prepared. From the well-chilled Rosè to the delicious starter and the main course recommended by the waiter, everything was top. Finally there was a great dessert. The staff was professional and extremely attentive. We'll be back.

The food was okay, the staff was very nice and attentive. However, I would advise against going here with a group. The innkeeper appeared to be very complicated in advance and wanted firm commitments regarding the volume of the individual orders. On site he was very inflexible and rigid, we even offered to pay for services that we had not used. This was initially not accepted, but was later billed as such. All in all, half the pizza and my son's coke cost €40 if we split the bill. In the end, the only reason we didn't end the evening at San Remo was because we were afraid that the person who had made the reservation would then have had to pay for all services, regardless of whether they were accepted or not. The incident happened three months ago. I'm consciously not writing this to you in my initial anger over what turned out to be a very unpleasant evening.

My wife has some allergies and they were not at all accommodating in trying to arrange anything for her. We had to go to another better Italian restaurant about 100 meters away. If you have allergies I recommen you to go to another restaurant.

The Christmas buffet was excellent and so was the rosé wine. We'll be there again next year.

We celebrated our Christmas party in San Remo with a larger group. We were absolutely satisfied. The food was delicious, the service and the atmosphere was good.

Went to San Remo for Easter brunch with the whole family. Great, varied buffet. There was something for every taste. All dishes were freshly prepared and always replenished. A little note to the service: At the start, a short welcome to the guests (closed company) and release of the buffet.

We were there with 6 people on Sunday, we really enjoyed it, from the food to the selection of drinks to the brisk and charming service, everything was perfect. Only the space where the buffet was set up is quite narrow, but that's a high level of complaining. We'd love to come back.

We went to San Remo for Sunday brunch today and were very satisfied. The store is extremely cozy and pleasantly furnished. The service is attentive and always available despite the buffet. All the employees are super nice and relaxed. The buffet is delicious and rich. The selection is manageable and not overloaded. Whatever is empty is quickly refilled. There is tasty bread, croissants, various cold cuts and various Italian warm delicacies. In my opinion, everything could use a little more seasoning and the Vitello Tonnato sauce could use a little more tuna. A highlight are the extremely delicious coffee specialties. All in all, definitely worth a visit. Keep it up! We'll be back. 😉

Very cozy with a view of the canal. Ordered pizza which was totally undercooked. Sent it back out, but unfortunately it came back pretty much just as raw. Very little aperol for the price.

We were there on Friday with a larger group... there were 3-4 more people than registered and that's when the chaos began. There would be no more 3 additional chairs to organize, and the prepared food (which we HAD to order in advance to even get a reservation) apparently wouldn't have been enough either... even when we all declared our willingness to move together and share the food , was vehemently opposed. One of the visitors then left the restaurant and the waiter made a cheeky comment. Inflexible and unprofessional!

Very inflexible restaurant. We had made a reservation with a larger group and were forced to order additional starters and desserts. Some people came spontaneously and apparently there was no chair left for them and no food either. The service staff forgot or mixed up drinks and served the wrong dishes. Very unfriendly.

I left the restaurant a few minutes ago because the staff was unable to add four people to a group of 20 people. There would have been space for the three required chairs, but it was no longer possible to prepare any more starters (the acceptance of which was mandatory) and there were not enough staff to do so. I have never experienced a more inflexible restaurant in 50 years.

I ordered spaghetti carbonara, it costs about 16 euros but it's not worth the money, there was no sauce at all, the parmesan and pecorino were not at all good and the portion is not worth the money, I would not recommend it to anyone, the pizzas are very good but the pasta is not worth it at all money total miss…

We ate at this restaurant, we ordered normal appetizers such as caprese and vitello with tuna sauce. The Parma pizza was tasteless with little seasoning and not cooked properly, we won't talk about the ravioli. Plus they expect tips, putting them at the payment point.... Never goodbye again

Das San Remo hat eine schöne Lage mit Blick auf die Trave. Essen und Service halten leider nicht mit. Bei dem Preisniveau darf man Pasta erwarten, die nicht weichgekocht ist und einen Service der etwas präsenter ist.
