Ristorante San Remo in Lübeck

We went to San Remo for the Advent brunch and were very impressed! Drinks, food, ambience - everything is great. Service staff very friendly! The price-performance ratio was also good. Gladly again!

My wife has some allergies and they were not at all accommodating in trying to arrange anything for her. We had to go to another better Italian restaurant about 100 meters away. If you have allergies I recommen you to go to another restaurant.

The Christmas buffet was excellent and so was the rosé wine. We'll be there again next year.

We celebrated our Christmas party in San Remo with a larger group. We were absolutely satisfied. The food was delicious, the service and the atmosphere was good.

Had some great lasagna and pizza at this restaurant in October when we stayed at nearby Hotell Jensen.

Went to San Remo for Easter brunch with the whole family. Great, varied buffet. There was something for every taste. All dishes were freshly prepared and always replenished. A little note to the service: At the start, a short welcome to the guests (closed company) and release of the buffet.

The store has a great atmosphere and courteous service. Unfortunately, the warm dishes at the breakfast buffet were not very seasoned and the fish and chicken were very dry.

We were there with 6 people on Sunday, we really enjoyed it, from the food to the selection of drinks to the brisk and charming service, everything was perfect. Only the space where the buffet was set up is quite narrow, but that's a high level of complaining. We'd love to come back.

Good food, in what I think is a fair relationship to the price, very nice atmosphere both inside and outside, with a very very courteous and nice staff, on a really great level, so that it didn't seem exaggerated or faked.

Incredibly condescending service, it was all about making the evening as expensive as possible and not about ensuring the guests had a lovely evening. 100 euros for 2 pizzas and 3 starters and desserts and a minimum of drinks.

We went to San Remo for Sunday brunch today and were very satisfied. The store is extremely cozy and pleasantly furnished. The service is attentive and always available despite the buffet. All the employees are super nice and relaxed. The buffet is delicious and rich. The selection is manageable and not overloaded. Whatever is empty is quickly refilled. There is tasty bread, croissants, various cold cuts and various Italian warm delicacies. In my opinion, everything could use a little more seasoning and the Vitello Tonnato sauce could use a little more tuna. A highlight are the extremely delicious coffee specialties. All in all, definitely worth a visit. Keep it up! We'll be back. 😉

We were there on Friday with a larger group... there were 3-4 more people than registered and that's when the chaos began. There would be no more 3 additional chairs to organize, and the prepared food (which we HAD to order in advance to even get a reservation) apparently wouldn't have been enough either... even when we all declared our willingness to move together and share the food , was vehemently opposed. One of the visitors then left the restaurant and the waiter made a cheeky comment. Inflexible and unprofessional!

Very cozy with a view of the canal. Ordered pizza which was totally undercooked. Sent it back out, but unfortunately it came back pretty much just as raw. Very little aperol for the price.

Very inflexible restaurant. We had made a reservation with a larger group and were forced to order additional starters and desserts. Some people came spontaneously and apparently there was no chair left for them and no food either. The service staff forgot or mixed up drinks and served the wrong dishes. Very unfriendly.

I left the restaurant a few minutes ago because the staff was unable to add four people to a group of 20 people. There would have been space for the three required chairs, but it was no longer possible to prepare any more starters (the acceptance of which was mandatory) and there were not enough staff to do so. I have never experienced a more inflexible restaurant in 50 years.

I ordered spaghetti carbonara, it costs about 16 euros but it's not worth the money, there was no sauce at all, the parmesan and pecorino were not at all good and the portion is not worth the money, I would not recommend it to anyone, the pizzas are very good but the pasta is not worth it at all money total miss…

We ate at this restaurant, we ordered normal appetizers such as caprese and vitello with tuna sauce. The Parma pizza was tasteless with little seasoning and not cooked properly, we won't talk about the ravioli. Plus they expect tips, putting them at the payment point.... Never goodbye again

We reserved a table online and everything went great. Table was nicely prepared. From the well-chilled Rosè to the delicious starter and the main course recommended by the waiter, everything was top. Finally there was a great dessert. The staff was professional and extremely attentive. We'll be back.

Das San Remo hat eine schöne Lage mit Blick auf die Trave. Essen und Service halten leider nicht mit. Bei dem Preisniveau darf man Pasta erwarten, die nicht weichgekocht ist und einen Service der etwas präsenter ist.

We only went to San Remo in Lübeck for a drink today, but the visit completely impressed us. The service was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Even though we were only there for a short time, we will definitely come back. Absolutely recommended!

Vi besøgte san remo for anden gang, da vi passerede gennem Lubeck til vores feriedestination. Første gang vi spiste udenfor og havde en perfekt carbonara (bedste jeg nogensinde har haft), og denne gang havde jeg en fantastisk lasagne indeni. Indeni er det meget moderne og hyggeligt. Autentisk italiensk mad, meget venligt personale. Elsker at komme tilbage næste gang!

We visited san remo for the second time when passing through lubeck to our holliday destination. First time we ate outside and had a perfect carbonara (best i ever had) and this time i had a great lasagna, inside. Inside it is very modern and cosy. Authentic italian food, very friendly personel. Love to come back next time!

Good location with nice outdoor area. The service was attentive and very friendly. The drinks were well chilled. We had pizzas that were properly topped and tasted good. The only criticism I had was that the pizzas were too soft in the middle and would have liked a little more baking time.

I was there on a cozy Wednesday evening and ate outside. At first I thought: hey, over 15 euros for a pizza? When I had the pizza in front of me, I thought: decent size. And when I finished eating I was finally reconciled with the price because it was extremely tasty!

Were in Lübeck and wanted to go out for something to eat after a boat tour. Saw this place which was very inviting. Service top. When it got stormy, the waiter offered us a place inside. Pizzas were very tasty. A must if you are in the area.

Great food, attentive service!!!

Unfortunately I can only rate the ambience, because there was no service and therefore no food. After being ignored for 10 minutes, we changed the almost empty restaurant. So thank you… for nothing. And no, we won't come again.

Never again. Prices too high, pizza not topped enough, hardly any selection on the menu. Waited an hour and a half for the food. Only received a dish upon request The second court didn't come at all. No thanks.

I just ate at this restaurant and had an overall pleasant experience. The food was ok, nothing extraordinary but quite edible. I would particularly like to emphasize the very friendly service. The staff was attentive and courteous, which made the visit very pleasant. Another highlight was sitting outside, which is really great when the weather is nice. Overall a nice place for a relaxed al fresco meal.

We often go out for Italian food, but such good pasta is really rare, kudos to the kitchen. The mileage and friendliness of the service staff also deserve respect. We'd love to come back

We had a great evening on the barge in fantastic weather with your great team. The mood on board was awesome. We'd love to be there again next year.

Were there yesterday with 2 people. We had 2 x vegetable bowls VFB Lübeck without any extras, a small water and 2 Aperol. Price just under 56 euros. We were allowed to eat the bowl, which consisted mainly of rocket and whose highlights were 2 large dried tomatoes and a mozzarella (for just under 18 euros each), with a large spoon. There were also no napkins and no oil or spices. For the price I expect more!

Very disappointed with the service, first they walk past you and then when you want to pay there are three of the waiters standing in the entrance chatting. You can wave and stand up as you like, 0 reaction. It's a shame the food was tasty.

For me, San Remo is the best Italian restaurant in Lübeck. I like that there are always new creations. Today, for example, the Parma pizza with chanterelles was very tasty.

Unfortunately I wasn't satisfied for the second time. The first time our pizza was unfortunately not cooked through in the middle or was wobbly. The second time the spaghetti was cooked too soft... Answer from the chef... the type of pasta is like that. Ah yes... very interesting and the taste was just okay... too bad. A nice restaurant with great outdoor seating right on the water and nice service.

Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The pasta dish with a watery sauce. For that much money. The dish did not correspond to the description on the menu. Service was very slow, despite plenty of staff. We were there in May and July. You used to be able to eat very well there. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Very unfortunate. Great spagetti carbonara without cream.

We were 4 women and were lucky and got a table by the water, service was very nice and also recommended food, and also pointed out that happy hour or Aperol spritz was cheaper from 5-7pm, food came to the table very hot We almost all had the food at the same time. Schöne Aussicht, nette Bedienung, aber das Essen ist nicht zu empfehlen. Die Antipasti waren fad und das Gemüse zerkocht. Die Ravioli haben so stark nach Knoblauch geschmeckt, dass alle Geschmacksnerven betäubt wurden. Der Wein ist auch nicht zu empfehlen. Für die Qualität war der Preis auf jeden Fall zu hoch.

Utmärkt lokaliserad vid kanalen. Maten var medioker. Beställde en pastarätt med räkor för 21 euro. Det var några få räkor serverad på vanlig spagetti. Det smakade bra men kunde gjort det bättre själv. Beställde en tysk öl och fick en Carlsberg. Högt pris för vad det var. Barnens pizza var helt ok.

Beautiful location and nice, attentive staff. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer suitable. Pasta for 16.50 came to the table lukewarm and the portion was so small that even I, as a woman, couldn't get enough. Since going out to eat is now almost a luxury, unfortunately I wouldn't necessarily visit San Remo again at the moment.

We ordered pizza Gamberi and pizza Diavolo. The menu states that the pizza is baked in a special oven at a temperature of 490 degrees to get a crispy result. Our pizzas were certainly not, we each got a tough and not crispy pizza. On the menu it says pizza Diavolo “scharf” which is not the case at all. Our dining knives were very blurry and almost unusable. When paying for our meal we told our negative experience to the friendly waitress. The wine (Primitivo ) was served “over-chambered” (i.e. too hot). Yes, we were very disappointed, hence the low score.

I was at San Remo this evening. The staff was very friendly. I ordered lasagna, it was quite busy in the restaurant, so it probably took a while, but it was just about within limits. The size of the portion or plate corresponded to a slightly larger tapas plate, for 16.90 EUR it was really very, very clear. The taste of the lasagna also suggested that it was a ready-made dish, at least certainly not homemade. For dessert I wanted a scoop of vanilla ice cream to go with the chocolate cake. It was then explained to me that the desserts would be delivered ready and that this was therefore not possible. The lasagne also tasted just as “delivered ready”. By the way, a fresh, homemade lasagne costs between 11 and 15 EUR in the Rhine-Main area, about twice the size as in San Remo.

We were really looking forward to the restaurant. The order was an antipasti plate and two pasta dishes. 1. we had to wait a long time until we could place the order, then the drink was wrong. After the complaint, another long waiting time. 2. The antipasti (starter) was served at the same time as the main course. The pasta was lukewarm and very salty (but it's a matter of taste). The antipasti didn't taste good. Instead of grilled vegetables, pickled vegetables were served. The bread wasn't great either. I would have liked pizza bread. At the end, the waitress tipped herself... our drinks were on the house after we weren't really happy with the food and told the waitress about it. Therefore just one point.

Auf die Bedienung musste man warten, statt Granatapfelspritz kam Granatapfel mit Sprudel! Antipasti kam mit der Hauptspeise! Antipasti war nicht mit gegrilltem Gemüse sondern eingelegtes Gemüse versehen, Brot war aufgetaut und im Backofen erhitzt statt kleine Pizzabrötchen wie ich es kenne! Pasta die Hauptspeise, Nudeln durch und lauwarm ! Teller wurden nicht abgeräumt! Preis -Leistung sehr schlecht - teuer und ab 20.45 macht Küche schon zu statt erst um 21.00 Uhr! Nicht zu empfehlen, sollte man italienisch Essen gehen wollen! So schlechtes Essen hab ich schon lange nicht mehr erlebt! Trinkgeld nehmen sie sich auch selbst!

You had to wait for the service, instead of pomegranate spritz you got pomegranate with sparkling water! Antipasti came with the main course! Antipasti was not with grilled vegetables as described in the menu, but rather pickled vegetables, bread was counted and defrosted instead of small pizza rolls as I know it! Pasta was the main course, pasta was well done and lukewarm! Very poor value for money - expensive. Not recommended if you want to eat Italian food! I haven't experienced such bad food in a long time! They also tip themselves!

Oversalted and partially burnt children's pizza, very small, overpriced bowl with hard rice, tiny, oversalted lasagna. Although we were there with a 2-year-old toddler, there was no free tap water (although it is mandatory in Germany, but nobody cares about it there). Dirty and wet toilets with no toilet paper and no paper towels. The path to the toilets goes past various leftover food from the waiters. Also a lot of traffic right on the promenade, on a Sunday. We didn't like it.

The service team does a great job and the location is great. But my meal had nothing in common with spaghetti carbonara. No cream but some cheap convenience substitute with cooked ham. Terrible, I just tried it and didn't eat it. The service tried hard and wanted to bring me something different. Very nice, but whoever cheats like that in the kitchen, what should I eat there? I was looking for something different and asked carefully whether cooked or convenience food was used.

We were here on a Tuesday and unfortunately the service seemed to be quite overwhelmed. She was very nice, but the wrong pizza came, you had to be lucky to catch it and when she went to get the card machine she suddenly started serving guests again until we had to point out what she actually wanted to do. However, the food was all delicious, although very expensive.

Boring cold food, friendly staff

A standard restaurant in a very close and therefore attractive location, with a view of the water. Standard drinks, standard food. If you just want drinks, you should use the small tables (from the partner restaurant?), the larger ones, with umbrellas, are reserved for guests eating. Pier for boat trips right in the same place as the restaurant. If it gets full, it can take a while, but that's understandable since everything has to be transported by road. The service was very friendly and nice, although sometimes there was too much to do and something was forgotten in the rush. We only had antipasti, which, considering the price, was large enough to serve as a starter for two people. Since we weren't very hungry, two drinks each were enough for us. The quality of the antipasti was ok, some of it was normal, vegetables for example were a bit tasteless and the olives were too firm and sour but the pesto was again very, very good. The small morzarella was good, the raw ham and the normal salami were good, the spicy salami was ok. Therefore, on average, a good average. The prices are appropriate for the location and quality. Therefore, overall a solid, good rating. If a little more emphasis was placed on typical, classic, Italian quality and selection, 5* was definitely possible. A little tip: For example, there is no classic tiramisu, only one with strawberries. And an espresso should be served in a preheated, thick-walled espresso cup, as it will then stay hotter for longer, especially if you have to transport it across the street. Little things... Which in the end creates the “Italian flair”. But that's complaining at a high level. All in all, good 4*. I'd love to come back!

Schnelle, freundliche Bedienung. Essen ohne jeden Geschmack, Tomatensauce war eine dünne, geschmacksarme Suppe, Käse für Spaghetti nur auf Nachfrage, dicke harte Nudeln. Niveau einer bescheidenen Uni-Mensa.

Good food and friendly hosts. We had a reservation for seven people, seats in the guest room. Changing the table outside was no problem at all. The Obertrave is of course very busy in summer, but sitting in San Remo is still very pleasant. All in all, a successful summer evening and we will be back!
