RISTORANTE I PIZZERIA DA*GINO in Neu-Ulm

Very unreliable opening hours, too bad, not reliable

We've been ordering from DaGino for a long time and unfortunately, we've noticed that the quality and service are declining considerably. The new lady at the reception desk is quite unfriendly and only answers the phone with an annoyed "Yes!" The delivery service is often unfriendly and extremely stressed. We've already received incorrect orders. And even a frozen tiramisu. I used to be a huge fan of DaGino, but now I'm thinking twice about ordering anything. It's a shame.

I have been frequenting Italian restaurants in Germany since 1995. Until a few years ago, also for reasons related to my profession. I therefore believe I can state, without hesitation, that 90% of those I visited did not pass. I place the reason in the fact that a part of these establishments is in the hands of foreign peracottari, coming from the most varied latitudes, interested only in shamelessly speculating on the good name of our cuisine. The other part, however, is managed by compatriots who show serious gastronomic deficiencies both in terms of education and culture, or rather, they show a lack of entrepreneurial spirit. To give them a hand, there is also the German system of controls, lacking and incompetent. Having said that, I crossed the threshold of this restaurant, recommended to me by an unfortunate acquaintance, on 31.V.2025, at 19:00, with trembling affliction. The space resembles a discreet waiting room of a dentist's office. On a chandelier two candles cried limply. They greeted us with a face that implied "what do these pests want?". We were the only unfortunate customers. However, the waitress announced to us that the kitchen was "under pressure" and that we could only order pizzas. She then brought us a menu of hand-written sheets, on laminated paper. We searched in vain for something original, finding a worrying "pasta Vesuvio" (penne, rigatoni, fusilli, spaghetti?) with a Nordic influence (capers, black olives, chilli pepper and ....... salmon!), as well as a "pasta amatriciana" with onions "!!!!!!!!. Even among the 12 pizzas there was nothing to be happy about. Resigned, we relied on a "Margherita", hoping that they would serve us soon, to escape such a disappointment. What a surprise, instead, to have found that the pizza was really good!! Incredible, after what we initially found. The end gave us a cost of €11.50 for the pizza and €5.90 for a 0.50 cl mineral water. !!!! In short, it is a place to hit and run, but only for the pizza. We regularly order party pizza. It tastes great and arrives right on time. You can eat it with your hands 😊, and not like at some pizzerias, where you practically need a spoon to eat it, and the edges and base are burnt 🤣. Especially since it's only €28 instead of €36. Great👍

The food is always of great quality, tasty and fresh. Owner super friendly and talkative. Fast delivery and quick preparation upon collection. Comparably low prices.

The salads are absolutely top notch - the ingredients are fresh and varied, the size is more than sufficient and the delicious pizza bread tops it off!

Absolutely lousy service. First things first: You order online. The confirmation will come and it will take 50 minutes. Called after 65 to find out that the order had just been noticed (and the lady told me through the flower that it was basically your own fault for ordering online) The kids were hungry so ok, it would be ready in 20 minutes. After asking several times, the food came after over 2 hours!!! By the way, you couldn't answer the phone anymore (only when you called from a second number). The discount was only given after another phone call and upon request. Really bad service. Pizza itself was good and the driver was very nice. Unfortunately it didn't save the evening either. No thanks, I'd rather go back to Offenhausen with the top dog, at least he's reliable.

We've been ordering there for ages, and there's no comparable pizza (or tiramisu)! We love the pizza. It tastes like it came straight from Italy!

We were in the restaurant on a Sunday evening around 7:30 p.m. just to order we had to wait about 10-15 minutes. After ordering we had to wait another 60 minutes for our food!!! While we were waiting for our food, we saw that they had a large order and unfortunately they didn't tell us why we would have to wait 1 hour for our food. If we had known that, we would not have ordered at all because we are not from Ulm/Neu Ulm and would have to drive further. Hence the star rating!!!

Too bad....... It was actually always our favorite for pizza but that's probably gone. Since when do you get cheap Cervelat sausage with the worst mustard seeds instead of salami on a special...and pieces of onion were also included.....simply disgusting!!!!!!!

Very good quality food. A super nice Neapolitan who puts his heart and soul into serving his guests. Highly recommended is the antipasti plate with pickled fish and grilled vegetables. Always happy 🤩

We came across the restaurant by chance while driving past and spontaneously got a table without making a reservation. With two small, hungry children, we were warmly welcomed and the service was as good as we have rarely experienced. The children were immediately provided with a high chair, a box full of toys and painting materials and of course there were also children's plates and cups. The food for the children and also our antipasti came very quickly and was very tasty. For the main course we had Penne Salsiccia with Burrata and Cannelloni Ricotta e Spinaci. Both were absolutely delicious and we would have them again at any time. It was a successful dinner all around and, thanks to the children's entertainment, it was also very stress-free and relaxing. We'll definitely be back 🤗

We have now become regular guests, we enjoyed going to the old restaurant and were always satisfied! For us it's one of the best pizzas in the city and the chef always surprises us with great and varied dishes! We'd love to come back again and again!

Update: With each delivery the quality dropped steeply. The last pizza had old meat that smelled slightly and was black everywhere... No thank you Finally got a delicious pizza! Plus a fresh caprese salad with great pizza bread😋 Greetings to the kitchen, I will order again!

The tastiest pizza far and wide in Ulm...I tried every restaurant nearby and the pizza was simply an 11/10! The service is very personable and extremely friendly:) I rarely rate restaurants but this shop deserves it!

I regularly order food here and have it delivered. The pizzas are really good and there have never been any problems with delivery. Maximum waiting time so far 1 hour. The ordering process via the homepage runs smoothly.

Ordered at 8:41 p.m., received confirmation - at 10 p.m. I wanted to ask when my food would arrive and then it was simply closed… ORDER NEVER ARRIVED…

Wow, I recently went to Ristorante da Gino and it was just fantastic! The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was super friendly. But of course the best part was the food! The pizza was perfectly crispy and topped with fresh ingredients. And the pasta... simply heavenly! I highly recommend the restaurant if you are looking for an authentic Italian taste experience.

Just always amazed again and again... No other pizzeria can do that. I'm really serious about that I've tried so many others and always regretted it I've been ordering there since I tried Da Gino when it was brand new and I haven't even been disappointed. Price performance mega Delivery is also great, always nice and friendly, you don't have to wait too long. The boss is also a very nice, friendly woman. I even had my wedding dinner there because I was so excited and even my guests thought it was delicious and loved it. Highly recommended :)

Leckere Pizza aber mieser Service. Nachdem ein Teil unserer Lieferung nicht geliefert wurde und wir anriefen, bekamen wir eine Gutschrift für das nächste mal angeboten. Erklärung: „weil sich das für mich nicht lohnt nochmal einen Fahrer zu schicken“. Doch hätte es. Denn so verliert man Kunden.

Super freundliches Team, vorallem sind Kinder kein Problem. Essen hat super geschmeckt.

Der erste Eindruck von außen war nicht der beste, wir wurden aber sehr freundlich zum bleiben überredet. Ohne Reservierung bekamen wir mit 6 Personen einen schönen Platz im kleinen Gastraum. Die Beratung zum Essen und die Weinauswahl waren leicht chaotisch aber sehr sehr nett und wir hatten Spaß. Das Essen, wir hatten Pizza und Salat, war sehr gut. Wir waren uns alle einig, die beste Pizza, die wir seit langem hatten. Wir würden dort jederzeit ohne zu überlegen wieder zum essen gehen, sind aber nicht aus Ulm. Danke für diesen tollen Restaurant besuch.

Der beste Teig von Pizza mit Sauerteig und 48 Stunde weitergehen. Tomate mit richtig Geschmack und Mozzarella. Das ist Pizza einfach da, Gino stai Bell fratmo!!😘

Wir sind dort nach einem Besuch der Kartbahn nebenan mit einer großen Gruppe (wir hatten reserviert) essen gegangen. Respekt dafür, wie sie auch die 14 Personen in dem eher kleinen gemütlichen Restaurant satt bekommen haben und das mit dem kleinen Team:) Das Essen war wirklich richtig gut - die Pizza, wie auch die Pasta. Alles super frisch! Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

Normalerweise gutes Essen und eine nette Chefin. Allerdings sollten die Internetpreise an die tatsächlichen Preise angepasst werden. Meine Pizza heute war zu lange im Ofen- schwarzer Rand. Nichts gegen Röstaromen, aber zu viel Acrylamid ist nicht ok. Rand war ungeniessbar.

Aktuell wohl noch neu im Gebäude. Scheint noch nicht ganz fertig eingerichtet zu sein, aber der Kernbetrieb läuft. Muss sich allerdings noch einspielen. Wer aber einen gemütlichen Abend sucht, der ist definitiv richtig. Insalata Mista war gut, die Pizza wohl eine der bestbelegtesten die ich bisher hatte mit einem Rand der sehr lecker war. Preislich auch vollkommen in Ordnung. Ich denke wenn sich alles eingespielt hat und Routine einkehrt, dann sind definitiv 5 Sterne drin. Ich komme wieder beim nächsten Neu Ulm Arbeitsbesuch.

Feine italienische Küche und auch Tageskarte mit exotischeren Speisen. Mir wurde die Ware sogar ans Auto gebracht, toll! Wein gibt's ab einem bestimmten Umsatz dazu, Kartenzahlung kein Problem. Prima.

Pizza bestellt kam halbe Stunde später als vereinbart okay des geht ja noch meine Pizza war unten komplett verbrannt einfach schwarz hat aber trzdm gut geschmeckt nur des Brot war halt cöp

Steinpilzravioli mit Parmaschinken und Büffelmozarella..... Pizza chef. 10 von 10 Punkten. Mehr muss man nicht sagen. Danach einl limoncello und Grappa... Wir kommen wieder mit Verstärkung. Und sagen Danke an den Koch und dem Service

Ich bin immer super gerne hierher gekommen für Leckereien italienisches essen. 👍 😋 Als ich LKW gefahren habe bei allgaier GmbH Mich immer gefreut wenn ich Pause hätte, daß ich über der Eisenbahn Fußgänger Brücke nach euch und essen könnte. Bin der aus Canada 🇨🇦 Leider Zeit September 2019 bin ich in Dortmund Berufsunfähig, und vermisse euren essen. 😪 I always used to love coming here for fantastic delicious 😋 Italian food 😋 👍 When I used to drive trucks for allgaier GmbH I jumped with joy when I had a break, so I could go over the railway footbridge to get too you to have a great Italian meal 😋 👌 I'm the one from Canada 🇨🇦 Unfortunately since September 2019 I'm in Dortmund and medically not allowed to drive trucks 🙃 anymore.
