We were a group of 11 for our end-of-year celebration at Il Gusto. The service was outstanding. We had appetizers, various main courses, desserts, and wine. Everything arrived at the table at the same time. The dishes were of the highest quality and exceptionally delicious. Everyone was thrilled. There were six of us in total, and every dish was a) beautifully and appetizingly presented b) of the finest quality. Dishes: - Vitello Tonnato (one of the best I've ever eaten) - Antipasti - Beetroot Carpaccio - Tagliolini served from a Parmesan wheel (divine) - Two kinds of risotto (a creamy, perfectly balanced risotto with the perfect al dente texture) - Bistecca di manzo… cooked perfectly medium, the meat was divine Service: Super friendly and attentive. Even special requests were accommodated. The food arrived with just the right amount of time between each course. All in all, a perfect evening for me with delicious food in lovely company. We were at Il Gusto yesterday for our wedding anniversary and had the SWP gourmet menu – it was a poem!!! Perfectly coordinated and prepared. The wine recommendation was a real highlight. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. Alessandro, the owner, gives excellent advice on wine selection. Truly fantastic! The rest of the service was also impeccable. Friendly, courteous, and very attentive. The intervals between the individual courses were also perfect: not too long, not too short. And the ambiance is also very cozy. Truly one of – if not the – top Italian restaurants in Ulm/Neu-Ulm. We'll be back soon. 🍷👍❤️

I don't quite understand the positive reviews. My pizza was tough (very difficult to slice), and they used those cheap, blackened olives. They taste extremely bland and have absolutely nothing to do with Italy. Maybe pasta dishes taste better, but the pizzas are simply not good. And for that price, I could have bought two pizzas from the Turkish restaurant, each of which would have tasted better.

We went there as family since we were accommodating nearby, we had no reservation but they found a table for us. Food was delicious, affordable. I definitely recommend.

We haven't been ignored by the service like we were today for a long time. When we politely asked if we were missing a drink, we received a rude response. Plates were just quickly placed on the table without a word. No "Bon appétit" or even the occasional question about whether everything was OK. There was no question of everything being okay when clearing the table or when paying. There was simply no communication at all. The other tables were definitely treated more kindly. As for the food, the pasta tasted good, the pizza was mediocre. When it came to lemonade, I would have imagined something other than just Sprite, which tasted watered down.

The best Italian restaurant in Ulm and Neu-Ulm. The staff are very nice and friendly. The food was 11/10, and the drinks were just as good. We eat there often, and we get our food very quickly. I can recommend it to everyone.

We were here today. I've never encountered such unfriendly staff in a restaurant! Unfriendly to the extreme! If you're not welcome, even just for a drink, you can say so in advance! We just wanted to watch the Federal Music Festival parade with a good glass of wine or beer. I'm truly stunned. The Federal Music Festival was really great, though!

Der Service: Freundlich, kühl Das Ambiente: Man sitzt sehr eng. An 2er Tischen oft nur getrennt mit einer schmalen Pflanzenrabatte zum Nachbartisch. Angenehm ist anders. Die Getränke: Die Auswahl der Weine ist sehr klein, aber wir haben einen guten Wein gefunden. Das Essen: Die Vorspeise war sehr gut. Die Hauptgerichte leider gar nicht. Die Pizza war teigig, die Unterseite nicht knusprig. Der Belag nicht richtig gebacken. Die Pasta leider nicht unser Geschmack. Die frischen Meeresfrüchte schmeckten leider eher nach TK. Aber das ist vielleicht nur unser Eindruck. Sehr ungewöhnlich und bei den Preisen der Gerichte nicht nachvollziehbar (gem. Antipasti 18,50 €): Für das Teilen einer Vorspeise wurden 2 € extra berechnet, für den zusätzlichen Teller… Extra Brot wird ebenso berechnet (4 Scheiben 2,90 €) und man wird darauf hingewiesen, dass es Brot und Olivenöl nur zu Salaten und Vorspeisen gibt aber für 3€ bestellt werden kann. Sowas haben wir noch nirgends erlebt und fühlen uns etwas über den Tisch gezogen.

Another place, maybe not in the center and heart of Germany, but still within the borders of this country, which in a subtle way reflects the atmosphere of Italy and Italian food. But it's not about the food. Because it's about spending a nice time in a great place where food is only a unique but still an addition. I hope to come back here someday.

The two of us went here for dinner on Sunday afternoon. We became aware of the restaurant through the Fine Dine vouchers and I have to say we both really enjoyed it. As a starter we had bruschetta and salad, my wife had a pizza with buffalo mozzarella (the only small point of criticism here would be that the mozzarella is placed cold on the pizza, and the pizza itself unfortunately gets cold very quickly) and I had veal medallions. For the location, the ambience, the great, authentic and very friendly service, as well as the quantity and quality of the food, I thought the price was absolutely right. I would particularly like to emphasize that the restaurant and the toilets were very clean, which is unfortunately not standard in many, even good, restaurants in Ulm! Special praise for that. In summary, I would recommend Il Gusto at any time and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Die Küchenleistung ist unteres Mittelmaß, die Freundlichkeit hält sich in Grenzen. 260€ zu viert ist hoffnungslos überteuert, zwei haben nur Pasta gegessen, keiner hatte einen Dessert. 36€ für ein mittelmäßiges Saltimbocca grenzt an unverschämt. Trotzdem haben wir großzügig aufgerundet. Ramazzotti oder Grappa danach gabs natürlich nicht, war auch irgendwie klar. Diese nette Geste würde ja an mediterrane Gastlichkeit erinnern. Und die gibts im Il Gusto nicht! Einmal, und nie wieder! Versprochen!

A fantastic evening with sensational hosts. What is particularly noteworthy is Alessandro's specialist knowledge of his wines and spirits. All dishes were of excellent product quality and excellent taste. Details such as crockery, cutlery and glasses complete the excellent overall impression. Four of us were at Il Gusto in the evening. The kitchen performance is below average, the friendliness is limited. The only person in the shop, a very young girl, who was friendly, is not very wittily reprimanded by the boss after working behind the counter, about everything she did wrong, everything he does, which he has to do in the morning. Who cares? The guests? Rather not The 16 year old? Especially not. All of this at such a volume that the entire restaurant notices what an intellectual low-flyer the tenant is. 260€ for four, that's hopelessly overpriced, two only ate pasta, no one had dessert. €36 for a mediocre Saltimbocca borders on outrageous. Nevertheless, we rounded up generously. Of course there was no Ramazzotti or grappa afterwards, that was somehow clear. This nice gesture would be reminiscent of Mediterranean hospitality. And you can't get them at Il Gusto! Once, and never again! Promised!

Il Gusto – A piece of Italy in Neu-Ulm We were lucky enough to get a table at "il Gusto" at short notice, even though the restaurant was actually fully booked for the evening - a big thank you to the friendly team who made this spontaneous visit possible for us. The welcome was warm, and this impression continued throughout the evening. The service was attentive and courteous without being intrusive - so you really feel welcome as a guest. From a culinary point of view, “il Gusto” impressed us across the board. The starters were already a highlight: the antipasti were varied and fresh, the soup was aromatic and perfectly seasoned. For main courses we tried pizza and fish - both were excellent. The pizza was crispy and topped with high-quality ingredients, while the fish impressed with its tenderness and harmonious seasoning. Of course, desserts were a must at the end. The mixed desserts were a little journey through the Italian dessert world, and the crème brûlée was a delight, with a crispy caramel crust and a wonderfully creamy consistency. The "il Gusto" not only offers good food, but also a warm atmosphere in which you feel completely comfortable. A real insider tip for all lovers of Italian cuisine in Neu-Ulm. We'll definitely be back!

The service was very friendly. The homemade noodles were very good. The bruschetta was also very tasty. The pizza, on the other hand, was a complete disaster. The salami was cheap and greasy and just slapped on top. The base was soft and doughy and the pizza wasn't fully baked. Although we had asked to leave the pizza in the oven for an extra long time because we like it very crispy, this was unfortunately not fulfilled. The restaurant is small and the tables are very close together. Comfortable is different. The prices, on the other hand, are rather lavish and at least don't do the pizza justice.

Find dine - quality is definitely there.

Spontaneously got a place for four on Thursday evening without a reservation. What can I say? Pizza was super delicious, as was tortellini. Salad super fresh. Crodino class mixed. Service very accommodating, short waiting times. When we are back in Neu-Ulm we will definitely come by again.

Il Gusto is a restaurant that stands out from many other restaurants. The ambience and the service staff are of a higher class; just like people have different needs. The location in a traffic-free square in the middle of the city also lends exclusivity in this respect.

I went to the New Year's Eve menu with my wife for the third time. There couldn't be a better annual financial statement. The service is at its best. In Neu-Ulm you feel like you are in Bella Italia!! Went for dinner with my wife again today (birthday). Simply magnificent. You feel like you're with friends. Pure Italy. Thank you very much!

If you want to serve the typical cliché of going out for a delicious meal at a real "Italian" restaurant, you've definitely come to the right place. In the Ristorante "Il Gusto" you can find everything the cuisine has to offer: fresh, Mediterranean and, above all, homemade food from "Bella Italia". Whether antipasti, fish or meat dishes, the menu offers it all. Friendly and competent service, inside or outside in the Tenda. We'd love to come back, just not on Monday, as it's a rest day... and another tip, a table reservation is recommended.

Today was an absolute blast, I will never eat anything there again or take anything to eat there again... today I had a noodle dish called a noodle dish in German the homemade pasta priest shrike, with fillet tips and tomatoes cream and and and. The noodles were overcooked, the fillet tips were so TOUGH and had a poor taste, which was a real sporting challenge until I had chewed the meat. Yes, and the whole thing was badly seasoned.... and the fun ended with a small cola that I drank while I waited for the food because the whole thing was TO GO...... the PROUD price was 20 euros and a few cents. After I threw 87 percent of the food and 96% of the fillet tips in the trash... this poor quality really upsets me... that wasn't the first time today that things went wrong. No, that was the THIRD time and there won't be a 4th time.... kind regards and p.s YOU CHEATED ME OUT OF A GOOD MEAL TODAY AND MADE ME VERY HAPPY!!!

Il Gusto was marred by an unreasonable request from the host. We were asked to be quiet because our good mood was supposedly disturbing other guests who were perceived as boring. This request was not only disrespectful but also unprofessional. As paying customers, we should have the right to feel good without being criticized for it. Although the food and service were fine, this event greatly marred our visit. I hope management will handle such incidents better in the future. ************ After posting an honest and improvable review about my experience at Il Gusto, I received an unexpected call from the restaurant owner. Instead of listening to and appreciating my concerns, I was told that I was not welcome and should not visit the restaurant at all. This response is unacceptable and shows a lack of professionalism and customer focus on the part of management. As a guest, you feel discouraged from sharing your opinion if it is not respected. The operator should learn to accept constructive criticism and appreciate his guests instead of rejecting them.

Sehr guter Italiener, manchmal nicht stringent. Trotzdem für mich eine Lieblingslokation. Drinnen etwas laut, im Aussenbereich im Sommer besser, auch wenn es schönere Sitzplätze als den Petrusplatz gibt. Trotzdem klare Empfehlung!

Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr durchwachsen. Gambas waren gut, der Thunfisch und Lachs sehr fischig mit wenig Geschmack. Das Gemüse schien TK Ware zu sein, war zumindest von der Konsistens her anzunehmen und auch wenig Geschmack dran. Pizza auch eher durchschnittlich. Alles in allem gerade so OK, aber nicht unbedingt zum Wiederholen.

Sehr lecker, wie immer dort, doch leider sehr teuer geworden. Mir kommt es vor, dass sie die Preise gut angehoben haben. Ein Wolfbarsch für 28 €!! Soviel zahlen wir nicht mal beim "Seven", der schon eine Klasse drüber ist. Jedenfalls ist der Service sehr gut, Essen lecker, das Ambiente ist ok - für die gehobene Preisklasse m.E. gibt es schon noch was zu tun.

Hatten einen primitivo de la casa, Bruschetta als Vorspeise, Nudeln mit Tomaten-Sahnesauce und Pizza Mare (Meeresfrüchte). Als Dessert hausgemachten Tiramisu. Es hat uns alles ausnahmslos sehr sehr lecker geschmeckt. Zur Bruschetta werden Olivenöl und Balsamico gereicht. Für die Pizza kommt ein ordentliches Pizzamesser. Zu den Spaghetti natürlich Parmesan. Auf der Pizza Mare waren einfach ganze Muscheln! Hatte ich so noch nie bei anderen italienischen Restaurants. Das Tiramisu war einfach perfekt (bin da seehr kritisch, da es mein absolutes Lieblingsdessert ist!). Also Essen 10/10. Preis Leistung absolut gerechtfertigt (Preise sind etwas gehoben aber passt!). Ganz klare Empfehlung für einen sehr guten Italiener!!
