Their pizza is also a standout, with a thin, crispy crust and generous toppings. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it feel like a true Italian trattoria, right here in Timmendorfer Strand. Whether you’re sitting outside enjoying the sea breeze or inside with the rustic charm, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. I ate at this restaurant alone. Unfortunately, I was seated in a corner, which was very cramped. The space itself is otherwise fine. The food was simply delicious! Highly recommended! The prices are also very fair. The service was attentive.

The food was very good. €20 for a pizza is a bit steep, but it's a vacation spot. The pasta was also beyond reproach. The service was a bit forgetful at first, but after that, they were very attentive. We also gave a good tip. The daily specials are varied and highly recommended. If we're here again, we'll be happy to come back.

A cozy restaurant right in Timmendorfer Strand. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The service was very friendly. The salami pizza was delicious and, at €13.50, a reasonable price. We found the beer a bit too expensive: €5.90 for 0.4 liters. We'd gotten a 0.5-liter beer for that price at other restaurants the other day. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We had Aglio e Olio con Peperoni (pepper sauce and oil), and it was very, very bad. We eat this dish very often in Italian restaurants, so we have a good comparison! It wasn't spicy at all, the peppers weren't fresh, they just used pickled peppers with little flavor (we're used to fresh peppers), which is unacceptable for this price! Ordered a salad for over €17 according to the menu, and at the table we were told "it was just an appetizer salad"... (also unacceptable). Overall, both were bad, and we will avoid this restaurant in the future!

Since the restaurant had good reviews, we were looking forward to eating there. Very fast, friendly service. Apparently all Italian, so we expected authentic Italian cuisine. Spaghetti Carbonara and Pizza ordered a white wine and a red wine. The white wine was of simple quality, the recommended Primitivo went like this. So far so…..The spagetti carbonara was drowned in cream. It doesn't belong in carbonara at all. There was neither Peccorino nor Parmesan on the sauce, which is traditionally included. When I asked, I was given more parmesan and was charged extra. By the way, in this restaurant you pay €3 for an extra plate and cutlery if you want to share a dish. My recommendation: At the square around the corner there is Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients and homemade pasta. The pizza was okay, but nothing special.

For almost 29 years, after a day at the beach, he stopped by Paolo's with his dog. In the middle of the week, around 5 p.m., we were no longer allowed to enter the restaurant because of the dog. The restaurant is rarely visited. Incomprehensible! We found another friendly Italian after all these years. The dog got a greeting from the kitchen and we ate much better. Thanks for the rejection. We have broadened our horizons and will not be coming back. Ciao!

We were very enthusiastic about this Italian restaurant, which is located absolutely centrally in Timmendorf on the 1st floor. We spontaneously got a table reserved for Saturday evening and felt very welcome with our two small children. The pizzas were very, very tasty and the pizza rolls were hot, crispy and extremely good! The olive oil I specifically asked for was delicious with it! We really had to change our two-year-old daughter and there was no explicit changing option. We politely asked for an alternative and they made it possible in the next room. The restaurant became more and more crowded and was well attended. Our waiter was super nice and seemed very competent. My antipasti was delicious, the eggplant was a little too spicy for my taste. A tip: The sink fittings in the women's toilet can be replaced from time to time. :-) We'll be back!

The food is still delicious, but the prices have gone up considerably. I don't think a few slices of bread with aioli for €8.50 is reasonable. What I find most depressing, however, are the portions of Parmesan cheese for €1.50. A portion of pasta should come with Parmesan.

We've been regular customers at Paolo's for about eight years. We live 30 minutes away, but it's worth it. We've experienced several different waitresses in the meantime. All of them are friendly and pleasant. We've been there as a couple, with some of the family, with the whole family, with friends, relatives... for various occasions or whatever... Every time, our food has been delicious, whether it's pizza, salad, or pasta. The portions are so large that there's always some leftover. Good service, nice and friendly waitresses. Not pushy, they let customers chat in peace. Really good Italian restaurants are hard to find. But once you find one, you can't let it go...and you appreciate it...

Service was ok, but very disappointed with the food! Pizza is still ok, but the pasta is a disgrace! Spaghetti aglio e olio for €14 and as a woman I couldn't get enough, it looked like a child's portion! For the prices you can expect something different!

Unfortunately, what I ordered didn't taste good at all. Tiramisu is also a parody of Tiramisu. At the end the waitress asked me if the food was tasty and when I gave my real opinion (without aggression, very calm but honest) she started to convince me that it wasn't like that instead of saying that it was to them kitchen will be passed on. This is the first time I have experienced such service. Update: Unfortunately there is somehow no option to reply to your answer, so I'm writing my answer here. How did I show myself? I spoke to my partner about 3 situations that happened in your restaurant. First I ordered apple juice and then had to go straight to the toilet. Meanwhile, the waitress asked my partner again what I had ordered: apple spritzer or apple juice. He couldn't remember exactly and said apple spritzer. When I returned, I was already a little disappointed that they didn't wait for me to ask me directly what I had actually ordered. But well, I thought it was just a single situation - something like that can happen. Then it was about the pizza. I wanted to order a four-cheese pizza, but I didn't really read that it doesn't exist. The waitress asked, “Do you mean the Quattro… pizza?” I thought she was simply translating the name into Italian and replied, “Yes.” Of course, that was partly my fault because I said “yes.” But I think that they could have also explained to me that I misunderstood something and that there is no such thing as a four-cheese pizza. That would have avoided confusion. Of course, I was disappointed again when I received something I didn't want to order. And then came the tiramisu, which really didn't taste good. I can say this with certainty because I often order tiramisu - and unfortunately this was one of the worst I've ever eaten. This was followed by the reaction of the waitress, who somehow wanted to defend the tiramisu. And now comes your reaction, Toni, in which you mention at the end that I somehow showed myself. I really don't understand what you mean by that. How exactly did I “show up” if all I did was talk to my partner and give my honest opinion to the waitress? I thought the restaurant would take my feedback into account - in which case I wouldn't have left a review here at all. Update 2: I've read through some comments where people are complaining. I was curious about how the restaurant usually reacts to criticism. Dear potential guests of this restaurant, Before you eat here, take a close look at the comments. Think carefully about whether you would like to be treated this way if you don't like the service or the food. Because one thing is clear: this restaurant only accepts praise.

We ate super delicious noodles. We'll definitely be back. We can recommend it. :-) Prices are around 13-25 euros for noodles.

The Capriciosa salad was really tasty. The kids had pizza and spaghetti bolognese. There was a lot of cheese on the margarita pizza. I didn't try the Bolognese, my son thought it was delicious.

I don't think the application does the store justice. We ate very well there and the service was very attentive and friendly. I recommend reserving a table.

We had reserved a table several weeks in advance, but then had to either sit near the cold entrance or take the table near the toilet. The evening didn't start off well. Unfortunately, the lady who served us did not present us with the daily menu and was generally short and rather unfriendly. When we asked about a vegetarian dish - which vegetables were in it (since the menu only mentioned non-specific "vegetables") - she responded with a rude comment that didn't provide any clarification. She also showed no willingness to ask in the kitchen. We then went somewhere else for a nice, cozy evening.

Every year when we are in Timmendorfer Strand we love going to Paolo's and we were always very satisfied. But this time it didn't work at all, the pizza was, in short, just bad, the salami tasted impossible. The dreifirtel pizza was returned because they wanted it for me Pack it up but just said that it didn't taste good. No question, why no apology, "too bad". At the table next door they also had a salami pizza, the salami was given to the dog who was sitting under the table. It's all a shame, we won't be coming back.

Went there for dinner. The restaurant was moderately busy on a Sunday evening, so we were able to choose a seat. The food was absorbed quickly and arrived quickly. The pizza is delicious and if you like pizza, you'll get your money's worth:) The star deduction is due to the service. Unfortunately, we didn't see the waitress at our place after serving and only saw her again after we asked her to pay.

Unfortunately I can't give the entire review 5 stars because the restaurant no longer accepts credit cards. The food was always good and the service was attentive.

Ate with 7 people, pizzas were very thin and extremely hard. Unfortunately there was no way to order pasta without tomato sauce. Just sad. A simple cream sauce would have been enough or even pasta without anything. But no chance, not even trying to ask in the kitchen. Disappointing. Drinks took forever, food actually took even longer. We wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

Unfortunately my fillet wasn't that perfect. Can happen with a natural product - Never mind. I complained and received 2 x filet mignon of very good quality. That's how it should be. First class service. I give 5 stars and would be happy to come back.

We ate there on our vacation. Yes, the food was okay, but it wasn't a highlight either. But I've never paid extra money for parmesan before. It was only 1.50 but I thought parmesan was part of the pasta

We are in Timmendorf 2-3 times a year and always stop at Ristorante da Paolo. We also ate very well on special occasions...birthdays...wedding days!! The fish and meat dishes are excellent in terms of quality and taste. Why is only pizza and pasta rated? A good Italian can also do fish and meat... If you want to feel like a second or third class guest, you've come to the right place. No matter whether to pick up or to get a table. Either no one answers the phone, even if there are enough tables available, and if they do, no table reservations are accepted. You probably don't need it. It's a shame, because the quality of the food is actually good, which is why the two stars. Many thanks in advance to the owner for insults, which, as always, follow such reviews in auxiliary German. We were there on our first evening. Utopian prices 😱, guests are really asked to pay here. (Small) children's pizza 9 euros, tagliatelle with (some) salmon approx. 23 euros, Italian. Country wine! 0.2 glass 7.50 euros (unfortunately it doesn't taste good at all) Extra requests are immediately blocked by the service, zero customer friendliness We would be happy to go to a different restaurant next time!

I was in this restaurant for the first time today with my uncle Benjamino and we were thrilled! The starters were delicious and fresh, the pasta and steak were excellent and the service was top. I would like to go here again.

I cannot recommend this restaurant to vegetarians. We ordered two vegetarian pizzas. The Pizza Vegetaria came with some ham hidden under the cheese. We only noticed it when we had already eaten half of it 🤢. The waitress initially wanted to tell us that it was mozzarella, even though it was clearly recognizable as ham. When I asked in the kitchen, it turned out that the ingredients are not always cleanly separated and something like this can happen 🤦‍♀️. From a hygiene perspective, it's not possible. Also a horror for allergy sufferers. We ended up getting a new pizza. This was put on the table for us without a word by the chef/pizza maker (?). We were here for the first and last time.

Whenever we come to Timmendorf from Bielefeld it is a must to eat there! Best Italian locally and has been for several years.
