Rarely have you received and eaten in such an unfriendly manner. I ordered a mineral water without bubbles and was given it, then the waiter was too busy to indicate this. Food arrived quickly after ordering. The pasta was too al dente and tasteless, with 5 overcooked shrimp. Even with some extra salt it was unedible. The lasagna, on the other hand, was overcooked and lacked the béchamel sauce that was described on the menu. Every table with pasta had cheese on the table. We did not see the service at the table again until we had already had our plates set aside for 10 minutes. Within 45 minutes we were gone again with a bad feeling. Staff didn't seem approachable or available for conversation, so we quickly left. I would have preferred to give minus stars, but unfortunately that is not possible. 1 star that by God's grace they had room for us. It was worth crying.

Eat like in Italy! Pizza is cut at the table! And special requests, such as Amaretto Spritz, were catered for!

We've been there several times now and tried different dishes. All I can say is, it's a shame it's not around the corner from where I live. Very tasty and very nice staff. We always sat in the winter garden in front of the actual building and with the tree and plants around it it is idyllic. First point of contact when we are there on vacation.

The two of us were there without a reservation and got a table straight away, even though it was quite full. The waitresses were super friendly and attentive. The food (bruschetta, pizza and gnocci) was very tasty. We felt very comfortable. Clear recommendation.

I think you should and must make a reservation. We made reservations and it went great! Afterwards we saw at least 3 couples being sent away because they hadn't made a reservation. And believe me, the reservation makes sense. You get very good food here!!! I had veal liver with sage. The liver was absolutely on point, super tender and delicate sage flavor. So my request to the chef: Please, please keep it up!!!

We were at Ciao ciao today and wanted to enjoy a nice end to our stay in Timmendorf. We specifically booked a table there again because the pizzas were delicious the last time we were there! Unfortunately nothing came of it. The drinks are simply touched at the top of the glass and placed on the table! I had ordered a small bottle of water and received water (already served in a glass) that was already stale!! Unfortunately, our food (Pizza Mediterranean and Pizza Mare) was cold and totally dry! The dough is very sticky! The waiter didn't even ask if everything was good! When we complained, the service employee told us that the main thing was that they were full!!! In this house, the idea of ​​service should be reconsidered! It's a shame, only measurements apply here and no longer class as before!

This restaurant impressed us twice during our vacation! The atmosphere is warm and cozy and you immediately feel welcome. Although you can make reservations, it was no problem getting a spot spontaneously on both visits. The food is absolutely delicious - from the fresh pizzas to the homemade pasta dishes, everything is prepared with love. The service is attentive and friendly, which completes the entire experience. You can dine on site or order take-away meals. A real insider tip for anyone who wants to enjoy Italian cuisine in Travemünde!

The staff was very friendly and nice. For an Italian restaurant you just had to order spaghetti and it was delicious with the apple juice. The prices were okay. (€13 for spaghetti, €3.50 for apple juice) Definitely recommended.

We got a spot straight away without a reservation. I have some intolerances, but that wasn't a problem at all. Everyone in the service team was super nice and the food was also super delicious! A big recommendation for delicious pizza with good service! :)

Very great location on Timmendorfer Strand. We were there several times and were more than satisfied with the pizza, pasta and salad. Everything tasted excellent and the service was consistently friendly and very attentive.

Unfortunately I can't understand all the good reviews. We ordered rump steak, which was actually mostly fat. Unfortunately it wasn't fried medium, it was rather raw. My tagliatelle with mushrooms and cream sauce wasn't good either. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great night. The atmosphere in the awning/building is more like a train station hall. Too bad. But the service was nice and good.

We waited at the waiting counter for 20 to 25 minutes without being asked first if there were people waiting without a reservation. To then be told, in a slightly arrogant manner, "there are no free tables here without an order", even though 6 tables for four were free the whole time. It would have been nice to find out while waiting, so we could have saved time finding another restaurant. I would like to mention that we have been at Timmendorfer Strand for a few days and have been to three restaurants where there was always the possibility of getting a table for two people even without ordering. It's a shame, we would have liked to experience what the food is like in this restaurant!

Because of the good rating on Google, we walked an extra 10 minutes out of town. And as it turned out, it wasn’t worth it “at first.” We were there around 5:30 p.m. without a reservation. The shop opens at 5 p.m. and there was still quite a lot available. We asked for a table for 4 people. The employee looked for a long time at his list, which didn't contain much information about the time. Then the answer came: “only until 7:00 p.m.” Logically, we answered yes, because 1.5 hours is usually enough. The employee ran away quite quickly and we just had the chance to shout that we would like to sit outside. As we walked away we heard another “No”. Then we left. That was our visit with a really very unpleasant experience and a feeling of being rather unwanted there. But it wouldn't have been really outside anyway as there was only a winter garden in front of the restaurant with a few open windows. We then went 50m further to the Greek Hellas. Even though there was obviously almost nothing free left, he kindly invited us in and we were given a table outside. But that doesn't belong here. We'll write an extra review there. Unfortunately we cannot rate the food. But since we were at least welcomed, there is one more star.

The gentleman with little hair on his head doesn't belong in the service. His bad mood doesn't make the stay pleasant. In this regard, you couldn't enjoy the meal today. Alternative has been found.

We ordered a carbonara, hoping to get a REAL carbonara without cream. When the watery carbonara arrived, we asked if it had cream in it. The waiter said that if we wanted an original carbonara, then we should have said so😂 Pasta not al dente, but much too hard. Starter was forgotten and brought later when asked. These were also far too oily and watery.

Delicious pizza and the price was good too. Paid a total of 27 euros for 2 pizzas and pizza rolls with herb butter. There is a separate “counter” for pickup orders. Card payment is possible.

Wir waren als Paar mit Kind unterwegs, haben am selben Tag reserviert und einen netten Tisch im Aussenbereich bekommen. Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen kam sehr rasch. Leider waren die Pizzen "nur" im guten Mittelfeld, die Pasta war sehr gut. Preislich sehr in Ordnung bzw. angemessen.

An absolutely amazing restaurant! The staff is super friendly and children are taken seriously, served in a friendly manner and treated with respect, no matter how old they are. The food is excellent. I've never had such good Italian food at such a reasonable price. We've been there several times, the restaurant is always full but the waiters don't seem stressed or annoyed. Even requests for space (preferably a table with a corner bench to put the baby down while eating) are accepted and accommodated. The ambience is simple, but you can feel comfortable there and I don't eat because of the table decorations. I can absolutely recommend this restaurant

The food was delicious but we waited 30 minutes until we were brought to our reserved table. It took 20 minutes until we got our drinks. We couldn't keep up. It was quite nice inside but it was a lot warm. The waiters rarely came to us to ask if we needed anything. That's why I won't visit the store again.

Da leider alle Plätze belegt oder reserviert waren, haben wir uns zur Mitnahme von 4 Pizzen entschieden. Freundlicher und schneller Service. Mittleres Preissegment. Sonderwünsche (statt Zwiebeln bitte mit Paprika) würden problemlos und ohne Aufpreis umgesetzt. Geschmacklich jedoch für einen echten Italiener sehr enttäuschend. Pizzateig sehr dünn und trocken, kaum belegt. Schmeckt nach nichts, bestimmt nicht nach Tomate, Käse, geschweige denn Thunfisch. Schade! Da ist sogar Dr. Oetker besser. Vom zweiten Versuch einen Tisch zu ergattern, nehmen wir daher dann doch leider Abstand.

I don't know if the chef has changed or what the problem is. We visited Ciao Ciao twice within a week and each time the food was acceptable at best. No comparison to before, what a shame. We will not visit the restaurant again

Here is my impression from summer 2023: You read the reviews, see the prices and go to Ciao Ciao expecting to get the best pizza you've ever tasted. The reality, however, differs far from this idea. I found the staff to be snooty and unfriendly, and the food to be rude and more reminiscent of a ready meal than an Italian pizza. Price and performance didn't match at all and I can't imagine giving the restaurant a second chance.

The Ristorante Ciao Ciao is a nice Italian restaurant. After a short wait in the entrance area, we were escorted to our table. The service was attentive and very friendly. As a starter we had champions in garlic sauce, gratinated with cheese, which was very tasty. We also ordered the bruschetta. Unfortunately, we have to say that this was served somewhat carelessly and hardly seasoned. For the main course we ordered pizza. This was very tasty and nicely prepared. The dessert (chocolate cake and tiramisu) was a successful conclusion. Lovingly prepared and very tasty. The price-performance ratio was great. Many thanks to the team at Ristorante Ciao Ciao.

The service was top. Everyone was super friendly. The meal went like this, the pizza and the lasagne didn't arrive at the table really hot. The taste was okay. However, here you felt like you were being processed. When we arrived there were 3 tables occupied in the outside area, the rest were free. We were told they only had one table available for 1 hour, that would have been until 6:15 p.m., everything else was reserved. It was strange that the guests who came after us were offered other free tables until 7 p.m. So it's okay for a quick meal. Otherwise not recommended.

We chose this Italian restaurant because of the many good reviews. When I reserved a table by phone, the communication wasn't particularly friendly, but the service later made an effort and was nice. Unfortunately, the food was far below our expectations. We had pizza and pasta and we didn't like it. Of course this is just a subjective opinion, but we wouldn't eat there again.

Very friendly service and delicious food.

The food was quite good, we had pizza (10€ for a margarita; pizza with tuna 13€). However, we were placed directly in the blazing sun, which was very uncomfortable. The waiters were constantly changing, which was a bit strange. Otherwise it was a manageable atmosphere, nothing special. We would look for another restaurant next time.

Simply good. Despite the location being very full, we managed to get a seat with a very short wait. Very friendly waiters despite a lot of work. No stress was passed on to the guests, which is what I hope for in all restaurants. Pizza was good, just like a little more tonata sauce next time ;) Pasta was very tasty. Most importantly: eat the damn chocolate cake after the main course. You will get the 8€ back twice with a taste experience! Simply heavenly. If we were here more often, we would be in the restaurant every evening.

Sehr gut besuchtes Lokal in Timmendorf. Reservierung ist durchaus geboten. Bedienung höflich, freundlich und fix, trotz enormen Gästeandrangs. Auch eine etwas anderen Variante z.B. vom Vitello ,aber sehr lecker. Die gewählten Pizzen waren gut belegt und geschmacklich wirklich weite vorne. Nachtisch rundet die Sache dann auch lecker ab. Alles zusammen ein schöner und "leckerer" Abend. Das geht auch echt mehr als nur einmal.

At 50 euros for two people, it was quite cheap in Timmendorf and tasty too.

In Timmendorfer Strand angekommen und nach einem Lokal für ein kleines Mittagessen gesucht. Dann haben wir zufällig dieses Lokal entdeckt. Aus der Tageskarte haben wir uns einen gemischten Salat und ein Saltimbocca mit Pilzen in Cremesauce. Das Essen war sehr lecker und hat uns beiden sehr geschmeckt! Das Salatdressing und die Pilze waren hervorragend! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gerne wieder ….
