Ristorante Ciao Ciao in Timmendorfer Strand

Waren dort im Urlaub und waren auf Grund der vielen guten Bewertungen in diese Pizzeria eingekehrt. Unsere Pizzen waren kalt und hatten geschmacklich eher was von einer Fertigtiefkühlpizza. Wir konnten unsere Pizza 5 Minuten vor der Ausgabe stehen sehen, wollten sie schon selbst holen. Die Bedienung hat uns gekonnt übersehen und war auch ansonsten nicht sehr freundlich. Wir werden nicht noch einmal dort essen gehen.

Wir haben dieses gemütliche Restaurant in unserem Urlaub in Timmendorf mehrmals besucht. Das Essen ist hausgemacht und von hoher Qualität. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend. Im Sommer drinnen zu sitzen etwas stickig.

2x Pizza, 2x Nudeln... 4x super lecker 👍🏻

Wir hatten eine Lasagne, eine kleine Margherita und eine normale Pizza Diavolo. Die Lasagne war geschmacksneutral und nur lauwarm. Muss man als Enttäuschung einordnen. Die Pizzen haben einen viel zu dünnen Teig, es fehlt Käse, also insgesamt sehr mager belegt, geschmacklich war es okay, aber man muss wirklich mal den Leuten die Augen öffnen und hier können wir definitiv keinen Besuch empfehlen. Sparen Sie sich lieber einen Pizzabesuch bei der Pizzeria in Ihrer Heimat auf, dann werden Sie auch nicht enttäuscht. Preis/Leistung ist leider bodenlos! Und das hier ist kein Hasskommentar, sondern wirklich eine realistische Bewertung, damit die Leute auch wirklich mal wissen, dass sie Ihr Geld besser woanders lassen. Vielen Dank fürs Mitlesen.

Italienisches Restaurant mit einem super Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis! Wenn man die anderen Preise in Timmendorf kennenlernt, kann man hier durchatmen und der Geldbeutel kann sich etwas erholen. Wir kamen erst nach 21 Uhr und wurden trotzdem noch super freundlich bedient und bekamen noch warmes Essen, auch Pizza. An Feiertagen, in den Ferien und am Wochenende ist eine Reservierung erforderlich!

Hervorragende Pizza und richtig gutes Tiramisu! Das Personal ist super freundlich. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Haben im Wintergarten gesessen, es war wirklich ein toller Abend.

Superfreundliches Personal, das Essen war köstlich!

Wir waren vor Kurzem in diesem Restaurant. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und qualitativ top – dafür gibt es definitiv ein großes Lob. Leider war der Service eine große Enttäuschung. Unser Kellner war von Anfang an unfreundlich und wirkte sehr arrogant. Besonders unangenehm war, dass er sich deutlich mehr um zwei andere Gäste (zwei Damen) kümmerte und ihnen sogar mehrfach Schnaps aufs Haus brachte, während wir komplett ignoriert wurden. Es wurde nicht einmal nachgefragt, ob bei uns alles in Ordnung ist oder ob uns das Essen schmeckt. Als später mein Schwager dazukommen wollte (gegen ca. 21:20 Uhr), wurde er nicht mehr bedient mit der Begründung, dass bald geschlossen wird. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, das Restaurant schließt um 22:00 Uhr und „das schaffen wir nicht mehr“. Das war sehr enttäuschend, da noch ausreichend Zeit gewesen wäre. Am Ende habe ich trotzdem bezahlt und sogar Trinkgeld gegeben – im Nachhinein muss ich sagen, dass der Service das absolut nicht verdient hatte. Besonders ärgerlich: Als wir später am Abend (gegen 23:00 Uhr) am Restaurant vorbeigingen, war es immer noch geöffnet. Das hinterlässt einen sehr schlechten Eindruck. Fazit: Essen top, Service leider sehr schlecht und unprofessionell. So etwas sollte in einem guten Restaurant nicht vorkommen.

Wir waren mehrmals dort und haben immer etwas anderes gegessen. Jedes Essen hat uns super geschmeckt. Es ist von Vorteil zu reservieren. Solange wir hier noch vor Ort sind werden wir noch einmal dort essen.

Wir waren zufrieden. Vor dem Haus ist ein festes Zelt aufgebaut mit Heizstrahlern und Lüftern die es warm machen. Die Atmosphäre leidet da etwas drunter. Wir mussten schon etwas warten bis wir einen Platz hatten und dann auch bestellen konnten. Essen und Getränke kamen dann aber zügig. Es war lecker aber nicht besser als anderswo. Der Service war ok. Grundsätzlich wirkte es recht hektisch auf mich.

Die Atmosphäre ist wunderbar und die Bedienung auch bei Stress super freundlich. Hierher kommen wir wieder. Auf jeden Fall 😃. Dankeschön

Seit Jahren treffen wir uns im "Ciao Ciao" mit Freunden, mehrfach im Jahr, um einen schönen Abend bei gutem Essen zu verbringen. Ein Dank an das gesamte Team ☆☆☆☆☆

Das war mit Abstand die schlechteste Pizza die ich im Leben gegessen habe. Der Teig war nicht durchgebacken und der Rand ist nicht luftig hochgegangen. Der Käse schmeckte nach nichts und die Salami hatte keinen Geschmack!

Meine Bestellung kam nicht und auf Nachfrage wurde ich von einem der Kellner körperlich bedrängt und dazu genötigt meine Bestellung zu stornieren. Er baute sich direkt über mir auf. Alle anderen Gäste hatten ihr Essen schon bekommen. Das war ein äußerst verstörendes Erlebnis für eine alleinreisende Frau und ich kann dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Unverschämt! Wir betraten das Restaurant, und es war ziemlich voll. Die Dame am Eingang war gerade erst angekommen und fragte ohne große Erklärung: „Haben Sie reserviert?“ Sie hätte höflicher sein können, zum Beispiel: „Tut mir leid, wir sind momentan ausgebucht. Möchten Sie für morgen reservieren, oder soll ich nachfragen, ob später noch ein Tisch frei wird?“ Stattdessen war ihre Art extrem abweisend, nur ein knappes „Haben Sie reserviert?“ in einem sehr unhöflichen Ton! Deshalb werden wir nicht wiederkommen. Sie war extrem unhöflich und alles andere als gastfreundlich – sie sollte wirklich mal lernen, was Gastfreundschaft bedeutet. Vielleicht ist sie ja unzufrieden mit ihrem Leben…

Einfach Traumhaft, einfach ein Zauber für den Gaumen... Wünsche werden erfüllt, Bedienungen durchweg sehr freundlich und jederzeit guter Laune.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung leckeres Essen

Richtig lecker zu Abend gegessen. Humane Preise und nette Bedienung. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Weiter so. 👍

Der von uns angewiesene Tisch, war leider in letzten Ecke des Resteraunts versteckt und sehr eng, wodurch ein bequemes sitzen nicht möglich war. Der Geräuschpegel war leider auch sehr unangenehm,. Bis zur ersten Bedienung vergingen um die zehn Minuten, dort wurden dann erstmals nur die Getränke aufgenommen. Nach eine Wartezeit von 1 Stunde wurden dann auch mal die Getränke serviert sowie die Vorspeise. Wir waren eine Gruppe von drei Personen, wir alle haben die Nudeln in Champignon-Sahnesoße gegessen, diese waren jedoch ungenießbar, da man das Gefühl hatte, der Salzstreuer ist in die Soße gefallen, wir wollten nicht die Ostsee mit Nachhause nehmen! Die Bedienung war nett aber dies kann die Rezension leider auch nicht retten.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal im Ciao Ciao…und sind begeistert! Noch nie so gut bei einem Italiener gegessen! Das Personal: so wie man es sich wünscht! Freundlich, Alles im Blick, man spürt jeden Moment die Begeisterung, das Herzblut mit dem sie ihren Job machen! Danke für diesen total gelungenen Abend!!!!

An einem Samstag hatten wir hier einen Tisch reserviert. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und zum Tisch, welcher im hinteren Bereich des Restaurants liegt geführt. Die Bestellung wurde zeitnah aufgenommen und die Getränke direkt im Anschluss serviert. Das Restaurant füllte sich schnell und es wurde recht laut, da es im Grunde ein gro§er Raum ohne Trennwände ist, in dem die Tische sehr nah aneinander stehen. Nach ca.15-20 Minuten wurden unsere Pizzen serviert. Die Pizzen waren nicht wirklich gut belegt (bei einem Preis von 17,-€), der Teig war 08/15 (wie zu Hause ein Quark Öl Teig) und nur maximal lauwarm. Geschmacklich waren sie ok, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Da wir diesbezüglich besseres gewohnt sind, kann auch der freundliche Service nichts mehr retten. Von unserer Seite daher keine Weiterempfehlung.

Gut besuchtes Restaurant. Wir bekamen noch einen Tisch im Außenbereich. Dort war es aber nicht weniger gemütlich. Die Heizstrahler sorgten für ausreichend Wärme. Die Pizzen waren groß und lecker. Tolles Preis-Genuß-Verhältnis. Service war okay. Gute Location um einfach mal eine Pizza zu essen.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant wo man sich wie zu Hause fühlt. Essen war einzigartig und die Angestellten super freundlich. Einfach perfekt.

Die Thunfisch-Pizza hatte erstaunlich wenig Geschmack und war sehr fettig. Die Pizza wirkte beinahe frittiert. Das Bruschetta haben wir selbst nicht gegessen, aber es sah ebenfalls sehr fad aus. Für ein spontanes Essen ok, mehr aber auch nicht.

Die Mitarbeiter waren super lieb. Das Essen war gut und wurde zügig geliefert.

Für eine kleine Hochzeitsfeier haben wir telefonisch 10 Pizzen bestellt. Die Bestellung wurde korrekt wiederholt, am Telefon wirkte alles professionell. Bei der Abholung: 10 Pizzen + Vorspeise für knapp 190 €, keine Getränke inklusive. Im Hotel angekommen dann der Schock: 6 von 10 Pizzen komplett falsch belegt. Nach Anruf nur ein lapidares „Fehler im System“. Also erneut hingefahren, vor Ort gewartet und die richtigen Pizzen abgeholt – Zeitverlust pur bei einer Hochzeitsfeier. Servicegedanke: nicht vorhanden. Selbst 3 Cola kosten zusätzlich 15 €. Gerade außerhalb der Saison in Timmendorf absolut enttäuschend und nicht nachvollziehbar.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant, auch Preis-Leistung. Ich habe dort meinen Geburtstag gefeiert und der Service war hervorragend. Die Mitarbeiter haben sich sehr aufmerksam um uns gekümmert, und auch das Essen war sehr lecker. Wenn ich in Timmendorf bin, komme ich jederzeit gerne wieder.

Am Silvesterabend besucht. Sehr entspannt. Sehr schönes Ambiente und das Essen, wir haben es richtig genossen. Danke 😋👌

Wir waren am Silvesterabend dort. Wir haben im Vorwege einen Tisch bestellt und wurden schnell zu unserem Platz geführt. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich. Besonders der junge Kellner der uns mit dem Essen bedient hat. Super freundlich, locker und wir konnten spüren, dass er seinen Job wirklich gerne macht. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Pizza hatte eine gute Größe. Das Kalbsfilet war für meinen Geschmack etwas wenig, wenn man im Vorwege keine Vorspeise bestellt, dennoch sehr sehr lecker. Auch unser Hund war herzlich willkommen. Wenn wir wieder mal in der Nähe sind kommen wir gerne wieder.

Wir hatten unser Essen mit nach Hause genommen. Leider sind aus den Nudeln Gorgonzola Nudeln Pfeffersoße geworden. Wir haben es komplett entsorgt. Da es glatt, eisekalt und sehr spät war, habe ich es nicht reklamiert. Die Pizza war aber perfekt.

Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich, mit italienischen Mentalität, passt super mit der gut Bewirtung. Alle Essen sehnen super lecker aus. Die Pizza sowie das Bruscbetta (8€) waren es wert und geschmacklich klasse. Es ist besser vorher einen Tisch zu reservieren so muss man nicht am Empfang warteny Preisleistung stimmt auch. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt dort.

Unfortunately, the pasta wasn't tasty and there was very little salmon in it—I honestly think there were 4 or 5 small pieces. I had salmon pasta with cream. The side salad had almost no dressing and was very poorly prepared. The restaurant was very crowded. But the staff were very friendly.

Whenever we're here, we eat there at least once. A reservation is always recommended. It's astonishing how many people come without reservations, and the service still tries to fit everyone in. It does take a while to get drinks and food, but it's definitely worth a visit.

I was back after four years, and just like back then, everything was fantastic! I particularly appreciate the first-class service; you can tell the staff are passionate about it! I can't understand the negative reviews at all! It's always a pleasure to be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the ambiance to the truly attentive and friendly service to the food. We'll keep that in mind for our next weekend trip. Advance reservations are recommended. We've heard that some people come more often while on vacation. That speaks volumes about the cuisine.

The service was friendly and quick; we wished we could have grabbed the man serving drinks. For dinner, we had pasta salmone, unfortunately with smoked salmon. A pizza that was a bit tough, and a pork steak, which was good. We sat in the conservatory on "garden furniture."

I stopped by spontaneously and got a table right away, even though the place was busy. I tried the pizza and found it very good. The service was also excellent. I'd be happy to go back.

Super friendly service, they were in a really good mood – that's what makes eating out fun. The pizzas were truly delicious (original Italian with crispy crusts and a thin base). I also requested spicy oil. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely go back. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, our visit wasn't as rosy as the previous reviews described. The wait was incredibly long. Guests who arrived after us were served more quickly. When we asked, we received only a shrug of the shoulders. Pasta carbonara is offered as an extra on the menu, and apparently with good reason. I got a portion of spaghetti that was swimming in a reddish broth. On top of that, the "bacon" was burnt, making the whole meal taste burnt. I sent it back, but unfortunately, I didn't even get an apology or anything. I got a new meal, but spaghetti carbonara is something other than spaghetti in broth with roasted ham. A shame. Bruschetta was delicious. The pizza was okay.

The staff was friendly, and we were lucky to get a table. The ravioli with truffle sauce was okay, but could have had a bit more bite. I had the Trio de Carne, which unfortunately wasn't great for me. The carrots had only been in the pan for a very short time (still very firm to the bite), or unfortunately, the meat was practically drenched in sauce, which unfortunately also had a very weak flavor. Considering a wait of a good 30 minutes, we found this a real shame.

The two of us stood in the reception area and were completely ignored for 15 minutes. No "welcome," no eye contact, no indication that someone would be there shortly—nothing at all. After a quarter of an hour of no one noticing, we left. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Super friendly staff, delicious food, great wine, and even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a table – albeit only for an hour and a half, but that was perfectly adequate because the kitchen was also quick. We were able to eat in peace and everything was relaxed.

We wanted to grab a bite to eat for the rest of our evening and spontaneously decided on Ciao Ciao in Timmendorfer Strand – partly because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our impressions on site were completely disappointed. When we arrived, we waited for about 10 minutes without being noticed – even though two male waiters walked past us several times, preferring to chat with guests already seated rather than greet us or offer us a seat. When we were finally approached, the waiter's first line was: "Ni Hao." We were confused – at first we thought we'd misheard. But it was immediately followed by: "No Chinese?!" This derogatory and racist comment truly left us speechless. The look we received only made the whole thing more unpleasant. At that moment, it was clear to us: We did not want to eat here and would not eat there. Our appetite disappeared immediately. We left the restaurant immediately. Such behavior when welcoming a guest is completely unacceptable—disrespectful, racist, and anything but professional. Unfortunately, we cannot agree with the many positive reviews and will definitely not be returning.

Unfortunately, you're not welcome in the restaurant if you have Asian traits. My cousin and I were greeted with a "Nihau" and asked if we didn't speak Chinese. It was inhumane and embarrassing behavior. We only wanted a pizza and decided to go to bed without eating rather than leave our money in such a racist restaurant. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it to customers with immigrant backgrounds.

Reservations are recommended. We called shortly beforehand and managed to get a table. The food was delicious, and we'll be back.

Great! We reserved a table before the concert, so no waiting time :) No problem getting vegan and gluten-free options. Everyone was very friendly. Highly recommended!

The chair was sticky, and the lasagna was very similar to one from a supermarket...the restaurant was relatively busy, which we didn't understand. The salad dressing was good, and the staff was also okay. There was no reaction to our disappointment.

We arrived at Ciao Ciao in the evening without a reservation and were seated promptly. The service was friendly. The food arrived quickly, was freshly prepared, and very hot. We were also very satisfied with the taste. The portion sizes were generous. Towards the end, the restaurant filled up considerably, so our last drink order unfortunately went to waste, for which the server apologized.

Yesterday, the two of us ate at Ciao Ciao. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The portion size was perfectly adequate for us; we were full without an appetizer. We ate in the indoor restaurant, where we found the ambiance to be very nice. We had gnocchi and pasta. The pasta and gnocchi weren't homemade, but they tasted good.

Super delicious food and incredibly friendly service. We had bruschetta, truffle pasta, pizza, and, upon request, pasta with butter and cheese for our child. We easily got a table on Sunday evening, but it was busier the following days, so it's best to reserve in advance.

A cassata is sold as a semi-frozen homemade recipe. I complained about this because it wasn't clear when I ordered that it would arrive frozen and hard. Furthermore, the flavor was bland, with no visible candied fruit (like cherries) in the mixture. The whole thing is garnished with artificially colored marzipan and artificial sugar sauces. For over €8, this is really not convincing, to put it politely. My complaint was dismissed with justification, no regrets, no goodwill. We cannot recommend this restaurant. The service loses one star because the employee who assured me it was homemade didn't say a word when she took the check: the uneaten cassata was left on the table; she didn't ask about it, seeming either embarrassed or simply indifferent. THAT is not customer-friendly service; this seems to be all about making money.

I haven't had such a good pizza in a long time. Good and friendly service. There were several servers on duty, which was appropriate, and service was quick despite the full house. A plus point is the separate takeaway area, a great solution for everyone. Very child-friendly.

When I'm in Timmendorf with my family, we often eat at Ciao Ciao. The staff is very friendly, and you're well looked after. The food tastes very good, no matter what you order. It's better to reserve a table in advance so you don't have to wait forever at the reception for a table to become available. The price/performance ratio is also good. We always feel very comfortable there, and the food is always delicious.

We spent a lovely day at the beach today and wanted to finish off with a meal here. Unfortunately, the attendant immediately scrutinizes and checks whether you fit in with the clientele. With a dull and dismissive look, "Everything's full," when the restaurant was clearly half full, we and another couple were turned away. Tip: Look well-off.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend the food. There were two of us here. The waitress was super nice, friendly, fast, and everything you could want in service. But the quality of the food. 😫 We were very disappointed. The pizza bread (7.50 euros)... rubbery, no idea how they managed that. I've never actually been served pizza dough like that before. The salad (16.90 euros) was okay and simple, the pasta dish (17.90 euros) was again rather modest in quality. They don't seem to be playing around with the spices much. And the prices are insane, though. What a shame

I recently visited this restaurant and would like to share my impressions. Unfortunately, the food was quite salty, which somewhat detracted from the flavor. The meat was rather bland and didn't really impress me. It also took quite a while to be served, which made the experience somewhat uncomfortable. Nevertheless, I hope the restaurant will work on the quality of the food and service in the future to provide guests with a better experience.

Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour and a half for our food. That didn't put us in a good mood, though. However, the food itself (tuna pizza & salmon tagliatelle) was absolutely delicious and we highly recommend it.

The food was excellent. The chocolate tart dessert was divine. You should make a reservation; many were sent away because it's very popular. I would say it's a must-visit if you want to go out for a nice meal. Good value for money, not cheap, but top-notch.

Soooo friends... All in all, it's okay. The bruschetta is okay. The pizza is good. The lasagna, on the other hand, was a disappointment for the price... the portion was ugh, very, very weak in flavor, and unfortunately, it wasn't hot in the middle. The staff is very friendly.
