Ristorante da Damiano in Isny im Allgäu

My wife and I were looking forward to an evening of Italian culinary delights. Reviews said the food was superb. But what did we discover? A chain restaurant was closed at the entrance. It was 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and not a day off. It's quite sad when a restaurant owner, in the age of the internet, is unable to announce whether they're on vacation or even closing down, but instead continues to maintain their usual opening hours. There are "guest-innkeepers" and "innkeepers."

No longer open, the journey was in vain

The last 1.5 years have certainly not been easy for the restaurant industry. Nevertheless, I find it questionable how this place has managed to survive and how they manage their opening hours. It's Saturday evening - 9 p.m. - the lights are off and no one is answering the phone. Not the first Saturday evening in recent weeks. During the European Football Championship, the restaurant was so loud, usually all evening long until well after the game. Then things really got going. 30 minutes of full-blown escalation with honking horns, bursts of gas, and spinning tires from the restaurant patrons. As a landlord, I see a duty to reprimand people here. Occasionally, though, you can tell the shop is open even with the window closed; then someone is talking loudly in Italian on the phone outside the door on the loudspeaker. As I said, you can hear it even with the window closed. How does a pizza or whatever else is on the menu taste? It varies. Either dripping with oil, completely oversalted, or simply dry. Probably the usual gimmicks to sell another drink or two. I look forward to a reliable successor with a better chef at this location.

From the outside, the restaurant looks a bit unassuming. Inside, it's beautifully decorated. The service was excellent. Very attentive, friendly, and very polite. There were no unanswered questions. The only thing better was the food. It tasted great. Great portion sizes and excellent quality. We had pizza and pasta. I have to say, we're currently on vacation at Center Parcs and wanted to try a really great restaurant outside the park. If we didn't live so far away, we would definitely come more often.

The pizza wasn't good, it was really great. Other pizza chefs could learn something from that! Thank you and it's over!

Schöner Terrassenbereich im Garten. Selbstgemachte Ravioli mit Steinpilzen sehr gut. Preis und Leistung stimmen.

Eingeschränkte Speisekarte wegen Urlaub- aber lecker!

Un restaurant interesant, nu strălucitor, dar cu personal foarte amabil. Ca să ajungem să putem comanda, l-am întrebat pe un chelner, daca vorbește limba română, franceză sau maghiara, foarte prompt a adus-o pe colega lui, care știa limba franceză și am rezolvat "meniul". Despre mâncare, am rămas impresionați și pe viitor vom revenii cu siguranță. Atmosfera este foarte plăcută! Accesul din parcarea auto este ușor accesibil tuturor persoanelor.

Wenn man 50 Sterne geben könnte, würde ich es tun. Einfach klasse.

ein weiser Mann sprach : es gibt keine "Zufälle" es ist alles eine Fügung des Schicksals !blos was hat das mit meinem Beitrag zu tun ?? ich war heut bei meiner Schwester in Isny und Sie wollte uns nach getaner Arbeit zum Essen einladen :) allerdings hatte ihr Lieblingsversorger geschlossen und da Neutrauchburg auf meinem Heimweg liegt und es da zufällig ein italienisches Restaurant gibt , haben wir vorsichtshalber angerufen und reserviert .... alles so wie man es sich wünscht !wenn man nach einer langen Woche etwas feines essen möchte , freundlich bedient und als netter Gast behandelt wird , die Einrichtung eine kleine Vorfreude auf das ersehnte Mahl ist....... das alles ist hier im Nirgendwo "Neutrauchburg" zu finden .......das kann kein Zufall sein das ist Fügung !!wir essen gerne italienisch und die Speisen waren so lecker dass wir den etwas weiteren Weg von daheim nicht scheuen werden dort in Zukunft wieder "Gast" sein zu dürfen

Hier kann ich nur mit 5 Sternen bewerten. Ich würde auch mehr geben, wenn es möglich wäre. Es ist wirklich excellent. Das Auge isst mit. Alles ist wunderschön angerichtet. Die Qualität ist herausragend und was ich noch nie erlebt habe, hier schmeckt wirklich ALLES. Ohne Ausnahme, die Vorspeisenplatten sind so lecker und wundervoll angeordnet. Fleisch und Fisch sind auf den Punkt und butterweich. Pasta sind selbst gemacht. Wenn Salbei und Butter drauf steht, schmeckt es auch so. Pizza schmeckt auch sehr gut. Ohne Ausnahme unübertreffbar. Ich war schon ein paar mal dort und es war immer ausgezeichnet. 5 Sterne Koch und alles mit Liebe zubereitet und dekoriert. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder.
