Found by chance. Very nice atmosphere with super friendly service. The food, Schluzkrapfen (filled pasta) and venison roast, was delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely recommend the "Hirsch" and visit again ourselves.

A beautiful, cozy atmosphere, and the food is a true feast for the eyes and a real treat. The service is very friendly. We'd love to come back again.

Unfortunately, we were not satisfied overall. In our opinion, the Christmas menu was far too expensive, and the selection – especially for vegetarians – was very limited. Furthermore, the cutlery on the table was dirty, and a children's menu was only available upon request. It was particularly disappointing that our table, despite a verbal confirmation by phone hours earlier, was given to someone else starting at 7 pm. The quality of the food also did not justify the price (schnitzel and red cabbage). Overall, we felt the value for money was not right.

Fantastic regional cuisine. The onion roast beef was delicious! The Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) were divine. The decor is very high-quality – a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.

I was particularly impressed by the Schlutzkrapfen (scramblers) – perfectly al dente, delicately filled, and served with an aromatic butter and sage sauce. A true delight that demonstrates how sophisticated German cuisine can be. The service was attentive and warm, the ambiance cozy and authentic. You can tell that the food is cooked with passion and that the hospitality culture is lived here. A place I would happily recommend – for connoisseurs who appreciate quality and tradition. Although the prices here are quite high for Isny.

This was our BEST meal during our cycling trip in Allgau ! We felt that German food in the area was relatively uninteresting, blunt until we ate here (we had some disappointing experience in several restaurants during the cycling trip). The beautiful waitress was super sweet, welcomed us with a happy smile (rare these days when restaurant is busy) and took our orders super fast and food arrived so fast - literally FASTER than fast food...amazingggg...haha We enjoyed our dinner ! THANK YOU WAITRESS !

Everything was perfect. We were there today. The kids had spaetzle and were able to paint. We had fish and pasta with burrata. For sweets, we had chocolate cake and Kaiserschmarrn. The coffee was also excellent. We're already thinking about coming back tomorrow. The inside was also very nice and clean, including the restrooms.

Great restaurant in the heart of town. We happened to stop by the terrace after an excursion. The food (spätzle) was delicious, and they also had a children's portion of fries for €4. The portion was more for two adults. It's great what you get for the money here. The service was also very friendly. If we're ever in Isny again, we'll stop by.

Very friendly staff, good selection

I ate here two evenings in a row, and both times it was really good. I highly recommend the cordon bleu and the two local game dishes. The dishes at neighboring tables also looked wonderful, with a selection that offers something for everyone. Friendly service and a lovely ambiance in the historic old town are just as much a part of the experience as a wide selection of drinks. All in all, a very good place and I highly recommend it.

Good Allgäu food in a restaurant with a nice ambience

We were there as part of a culinary city tour. There was a delicious aperitif.

A few days ago, four of us came here for dinner. I have to say, everything was top-notch. The food was super delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. We didn't wait long, and everyone was able to start at the same time. The children were also given great attention. They were immediately given something to draw—just a quick tip: feel free to include a sharpener. The one included is for thick pencils :D By the way... But that's just nitpicking. The children were also given small cutlery, and they immediately asked whether they wanted greens or not. We definitely recommend it. We'll be back :)

We had a thoroughly enjoyable and harmonious dinner at the Hirsch Restaurant in Isny. The dishes were all of very good quality and superbly flavorful, including the super-tender and soft Wiener Schnitzel and a top-notch rump steak in cognac sauce with delicious, firm vegetables. The ambiance was also impressive, with comfortable upholstered chairs and cozy lighting in the dining room. The service was also very approachable and extremely friendly. It was a lovely evening – we would definitely go back! P.S.: Only the artificial flowers on the table and in the windows were a bit disconcerting and didn't really fit the concept. But compared to the other extremely positive impressions, this is more of a minor flaw :-)

We had reserved and came with a relatively large group of 12 people including children. The service was smooth and friendly. The food came quite quickly and at the same time. They were also really tasty, albeit very hearty, dishes. However, the inn was very warm and stuffy and quite a noisy environment. That was a bit of a shame. The restaurant has been renovated in a really nice and cozy way, but there is only one men's toilet for a lot of places, which I absolutely can't understand. Otherwise highly recommended.

Unfortunately, such friendly and funny service is rare - the food was very tasty! Spent a very nice evening there! If you want to eat in a beautiful restaurant, you definitely have to go there!

I gave it a moderate rating because the food and service have always been good in the past. Today we left without eating because we had a table in the entrance area right next to the door, despite having made a reservation in October. The second time... probably happens when there are only two of you. Every time the door opens you get a full blast of cold air. No matter how good the food is, unfortunately that's not possible! We actually drive 2 hours every year for our wedding anniversary, but we'd better think about that in the future.

So yesterday's food wasn't good. For the price you should present quality on the plate. It wasn't for our palate, service was ok, only you should be asked about the degree of doneness when you order a steak.

We've been to the deer restaurant several times and there's been a breakdown. All in all, we are very enthusiastic about the food here and the service (especially Frauke) is super nice and friendly. We also like the cozy atmosphere. We always enjoy coming back for dinner.

Let's start with the least important: The ambience is great. Isny is a lovely little town and you can fully enjoy it from the beautifully furnished terrace. The service was also great. Our waitress was in a very good mood and did a very good job otherwise. And now about the food: Excellent. Good value for money for the quality you get and very tasty. My special request to have Kasspatzn as a side dish instead of fries was no problem at all. If I ever come to Isny ​​again, I would love to come back!

Both the presentation and taste of the food were first class and exceeded our expectations. A visit to the Hirsch Restaurant is an absolute highlight for connoisseurs.
