What a wonderful historical atmosphere. Actually, you almost have to pay an entrance fee here. We were able to enjoy a tour of the house - great!

This is a beautiful, historic inn. We were a very large group (approx. 120 people!) and stopped there for breakfast! Everything tasted wonderful and went like clockwork! The waitresses were very friendly and attentive! The buffet was set with many delicacies and there were also scrambled eggs and fried eggs! We were very satisfied and would love to come back! Rustic economy, my husband's roast onion was very good 👍, but my schnitzel was certainly frozen, and the salad could be spiced better, the salad sauce could be better!

If 4 small schnitzels have the same shape and size, then the Wiener schnitzels are probably from the freezer and that's how they tasted. Well, there is a salad with it, but homemade schnitzels can also cost 17.90 euros. But we were lucky to still be served after 2 p.m. We were turned away at three restaurants beforehand. Actually a shame for the holiday destination of Bavaria.

Food was very good. Children's meals are fairly priced and large portions. Service was also very attentive and good (even if not everyone spoke German). Card payment including tips went without any problems. One star deduction for the ambience. It's nice to sit outside, but unfortunately there's a busy thoroughfare right by, so it was very noisy.

We sat unnoticed in the beer garden for about 15 minutes. We fled because of the high noise level of the cars rushing past on the main road. Unbearable. When I read some of the reviews here, I'm glad I went.

While Christoph Columbus accidentally discovered America in 1492 and Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press in this country around 1450, guests were already being catered for 600 years ago in the historic Gasthof Adler in Großholzleute near Isny ​​in the Allgäu. You can actually feel this long history in the guest rooms, some of which are still well preserved. That was also worth honoring for the local community in the administrative district: “Exemplary Village Inn 2023/2024” - congratulations, but deserved. You don't really have to write much, because you have to see, experience and enjoy this inn for yourself... Friendliness, quality, attention and value for money - pretty much everything is right here, just let yourself get involved...

The food was very good. But when you sit in the beer garden, you can no longer understand your own words, it's so loud from the main street. This is a pity. Nevertheless we will come back.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service on this day. Unfortunately the food had room for improvement. Some of the lettuce leaves were dressed with a brown edge and a ready-made sauce. In our opinion, the schnitzels were frozen goods and had a watery taste, fries were good for €17.90. A schnitzel plate with spaetzle was charged €2.50 if the quantity was smaller. Our conclusion. Unfortunately average quality at a higher price compared to many other Gatswirtschaften.

We stopped there while passing through. Quickly checked reviews and found it to be ok. Quaint inn. Service was both very friendly and the food came in a timely manner. Upon request, a margarita was made with just olive in kindergarten (the size of a cake plate). Pizza was good. Children's kässpätzle €8.50 were an acceptable size, but the strong cheese was missing. Spaetzle wasn't fresh and tasted like it had been made yesterday. Salad was very very bitter. Fries were good, wusa was too salty and that for 15€. Pig farms are good except for the Spätzle, which is borderline pricey. Unfortunately feeling of chaos in terms of taste. Price together 73€ with 2 anti-alcohol and 1 beer. We won't come again. The 2 stars are for cleanliness and friendliness of the service.

Because of the many good reviews, we came here spontaneously. We had cheese spaetzle that tasted completely watery and had far too little or tasteless cheese. The waiter was very sparing in his words and only brought a high chair when asked. We wouldn't eat there again.

We were lucky that, unlike other guests, we didn't have to wait 2.5 hours but only an hour for our food. Waiter completely overwhelmed. There was a communion at the same time, but there were maybe 10-12 other guests there, Sunday at 3 p.m. Salad was okay, 47er Schnitzel tasted like nothing. Completely unseasoned except for breading. Fries that were as unstable as those with a capital M. The bottom line is that the food was okay, but together with the rest of the chaos, max 2 stars.

Dead silence in the whole restaurant, uncomfortable atmosphere. Ordered onion roast medium for just under €30 and got what felt like only a 150g gray piece of completely cooked meat. On top fried potatoes drowned in oil. A lot of money for little quality, never again.

Leider nur Friteusenschnitzel. Bei den Kasspätzle fehlte die Geschmeidigkeit des Käse. Der Beilagensalat hätte kleiner geschnitten sein können. Die Blätter waren sehr, sehr grob geschnitten.

Schöne urige Wirtschaft. Essen war lecker. Uns hat es geschmeckt....

Un bar típico alemán con buena comida y cerveza a muy buenos precios, permiten la entrada a perros y la comida es de buena calidad. La sopa riquísima y muchos platos incluyen ensalada.

Der Kellner war sehr nett und hat weit mehr als 5 Sterne verdient. Das Essen. Ja das Essen. Ich habe Schnitzel Wiener Art mit Pommes bestellt. Also der Teller war sehr schön angerichtet und die Portion war sehr groß. Die Pommes waren sehr lecker. Leider war das Schnitzel furchtbar. Es war leider nicht frisch sondern ein Tiefkühlschnitzel das in der Friseuse gemacht wurde und leider absolut nicht schmeckte. Geht für mich gar nicht.

Hat leider nachgelassen, sehr wenige Gerichte zur Auswahl, aber das Essen war trotzdem gut.

Super Ambiente im denkmalgeschützten Wirtshaus, sehr kleine Karte, aber alles was wir hatten war wirklich lecker, zu einem fairen Preis. Immer wieder gerne.

Uralt sehr rustikale Einrichtung sollte man hegen und pflegen alte Geschichte

Nach langer Wartezeit und Nachfragen wann das Essen denn kommt, wurde mir gesagt, nur noch kurz warten. Mit einem zweijährigen Kind kann dass sehr stressig werden. An dem Tag war nicht besonders viel los, daher war es nicht nachvollziehbar warum die Gäste so lange warten mussten. Nach etwa 1,5 Stunden kam dann das Essen. Maultaschen, Kaiserschmarrn und Zanderknusperlinge, haben gut geschmeckt. Nur das Schnitzel war fad und hat nicht sonderlich gut geschmeckt, die Panade auf der unteren Seite aufgeweicht und pappig.

Ein bodenständiger typisch schwäbischer Gasthof mit kleiner Karte. Wir waren Heimreise von Füssen und kamen an dem Gasthof vorbei. Spontan haben wir uns entscheiden dort etwas zu Mittag zu essen. Meine Freundin hatte den Schweizer Wurstsalat und ich die Maultaschen. Beides war sehr lecker und die Portionen genau richtig. Als Nachtisch haben wir uns die Apfelküchle geteilt, welche aber leider vermutlich nicht selbst gemacht waren. Der Kellner war sehr bemüht und freundlich. Der Gastgarten scheint schon etwas älter zu sein und ist leider direkt an der Straße. Trotzdem konnte man gemütlich im Schatten sitzen und entspannt essen. Wir würden wieder kommen und können das lokal empfehlen.

Wir waren seit 3 Jahren ein weiteres Mal im Gasthof Adler und mussten mit entsetzen feststellen, dass es ziemlich nachgelassen hat. Das Essen ist mega versalzen und die Bratkartoffeln ölig und z.T. verbrand und pappen zusammen. 4 Sterne gibt es beim Service. Die Kellnerin ist sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Was das Ambiente betraf, war es im Raum ziemlich kalt, was bei den aktuellen "kühlen" Regentagen ziemlich ungemütlich war. Zusammengefasst kann man nur hoffen, dass das Team wieder mehr Qualität bietet. Wir können es aktuell nicht weiter empfehlen.

Preis-Leistung sowie Essen gut👍 Kässpatzen sehr zu empfehlen 😋 nur das Schnitzel Wiener Art enttäuschte ( kottlet trocken pande war glatt ohne blasen Bildung schade!!!
