Ristorante Classico Italiano Gaststätte in Dresden

We loved this place. After a year, my children and I were there again. For starters we had bruschetta, which used to be a round bread. Now just one sandwich, for 3 people... Food was great. No question. But the price-performance ratio... Mh... We had 2 wines, two drinks and two main courses, my daughter invited me to dinner...the other one paid for herself. But 78 euros.... The small one was 30 euros. 😕 I understand, the place, the ambience. Everything around it. But .... The staff are lovely, nice. Good service.

We were there spontaneously for lunch. There were only a few tables occupied. We just wanted something small to eat and quickly found it. The noodles were very tasty, but the portions were typically small. When a family came with a husky, the waitress didn't seem enthusiastic at first. So the family was seated in a corner and the nearest tables were marked with reserved signs. Since we have a large dog at home ourselves, it seemed a bit strange. But the dog got a bowl of water.

A really nice Italian restaurant with good service, great food, nice atmosphere and still fair prices.

Very good organization on the part of the management! Pre-ordered with a large group and minutes after coming in the dishes came to the table. Also very courteous waiters!

We went to the restaurant with my girlfriend for her birthday! We got a bad impression from the staff. When I made the reservation on the phone, I mentioned that we would like to have a table with a view of the Frauenkirche. State of that, we were right at the entrance where people were constantly coming in and out. Also wanted to take advantage of a "Birthday" promotion (where you get a glass of Prosecco and a cookie in the shape of a heart) for free. I had to pay for that in the end... why does it say differently on their website??? In general the staff was unfriendly and tense 😏 So I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant 🥵

Das Essen war in Ordnung. Nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht besonders gut. Der Wein (ganze Flasche für mehrere Personen) war nicht mein Fall, wobei die Weinkarte hier sicher auch richtig gute Weine bietet. Der Service war allerdings für einen Wochentag etwas träge und speziell der Hauptgang kam sehr spät.

Super delicious food. The waitresses were all very friendly, even though the restaurant was very full. The portions are well chosen so that you feel full. We ordered pasta and pizza and both were delicious. The view of the Frauenkirche also makes the restaurant a highlight.

Even one star is too many. We had dinner with friends there. Unfortunately, we didn't have very nice experiences, overwhelmed staff, etc. We also wrote down this review here with our experiences on site, which is what it's intended for...to reflect your experiences, whether positive, neutral or negative. This was rejected by the operator as defamation at Google. It is very sad that instead of admitting your mistakes and apologizing if necessary, reviews are rejected as lies, just so that you can have consistently positive reviews/experiences. This is fraud on the end consumer. We appealed the decision and referred the matter to our lawyer. There are enough witnesses who can prove our experience/assessment, which was correctly made and written down on site. Incidentally, many other reviews reflect our experience. So much for false facts.

Super friendly, tasty and authentic. We'd love to come back on our next trip to Dresden! The two of us were there spontaneously (around 7 p.m.) and had to wait about 5 minutes for a table, but we were offered to wait at the bar with a small aperitif. The very friendly employees noticeably enjoy their work and are very courteous, attentive and smile in a friendly manner. Food was very tasty and fresh (vitello tonnato, truffle pasta, mushroom risotto and "heart/cones" as dessert...) the dessert rounded off the evening perfectly with a certain show effect (patisserie pastries under a glass dome filled with smoke 😉). Yes, it may not be made for every budget, but good quality has its price. Thank you for a lovely evening, with a view of the Frauenkirche and the Christmas market.

The location at the Frauenkirche is great. The food was fresh and good, not exceptional but OK. Unfortunately the service can be improved. We were not asked for another drink, even though all the glasses on the table were empty, nor were we asked for dessert or coffee after the meal. The empty main course plates sat around for ages before someone cleared them away. It's a shame actually.

Near the Frauenkirche - Central location

Where has Saxon hospitality gone? Terrace not completely full, five service staff but it took a while before someone sat down at our table to take the order. This now affects many innkeepers, but this year the team from Classico Italiano. Dear innkeepers, drivers only want a small sip of wine at lunchtime, not 0.2 liters! And if your small devices can't do that, go to the counter and make something like this possible for your guests. The competitor 50mtr further made it possible to enjoy a glass of 0.1 liter wine. Ambiance at Neumarkt was great, service wasn't good at all, we ate at Ausonia.

Customer service at an all time low. When my cloakroom card got lost under the rearranged tables, I looked for it myself, but couldn't find it at first. Instead of responding helpfully, the boss either demanded 20 euros or wanted to keep the jacket. He responded to my offer to pay the 20 euros with an EC card with unfriendly comments and complained about the ‘lost time’. I finally found the card under the table myself. Never again!!!

Very friendly and competent service. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The starters and main courses are highly recommended. I can expressly recommend the traditional carbonara. We'd love to come back.

A very nice, large, interesting restaurant, on several levels, with a large outdoor area, everything clean and tidy, very nice, friendly staff, there is very good food and drinks here, prepared with a lot of love, we had a very nice stay here. A worthwhile excursion destination. Right opposite the Frauenkirche. We can only recommend it.

The food was really okay, just a little expensive, but given the location, that shouldn't surprise anyone. The waiter was extremely annoyed (maybe he has a problem with young adults?) or at least that's how it felt. I'm definitely not going to spend my money somewhere anymore just to be hit on stupidly by someone else. There was no tip for that either

We spent our wedding anniversary here and it was a good decision. The attention and friendliness that you received as a guest here has unfortunately become rare these days. I enjoyed this very much. The food was great. Perfectly prepared and very tasty. The steak was on point, beautifully arranged plates and very attentive staff. Certainly in the higher-priced segment, but just right for a special evening. And the view of the Frauenkirche - sensational. The furnishings are very sophisticated with large mirrors and lots of photos that tell of times gone by. We felt very comfortable. Thank you.

Very nice restaurant, we ate pizzas (without a photo everyone knows what a pizza looks like) very very great base, tasted great. Very nicely located with outside dining. Attentive, nice waiters.

Been many times but have found recently that the food needs a bit more attention. Quality good but vegetables could be better and when asking for potatoes, nobody needs two pounds on their plate. Staff used to all be friendly but latterly the downstairs area are somewhat surly and it is all seems an effort.

We were very happy to be served outside here. But the egg pie wasn't tasty at all, it could be much better!

The only good thing about this restaurant is the location, everything else, especially when it comes to service, is a complete disaster. The men employed there have neither manners nor decency and if you criticize this you will be attacked. We work in service/catering ourselves and that didn't work at all. I'll save the rest of the words.

Central location and really good food

The restaurant can't do anything about the fabulous 😉 but the pizza is disappointing... the tomato sauce has hardly any spicy taste, baking pan-like patterns can be seen on the bottom, so the question of the "stone oven" pizza arises. Bruschetta is just a single 20cm piece of toasted brown bread with diced tomatoes. Pasta Calamarata is relatively little but tasty. Service was cool but attentive - but there was also very little going on.

Very crowded and overpriced that's my personal opinion. I think Pizza Margherita for 13€ just because it's in the place is too high.

We were served by Mr. Hayek. The service was very personable, friendly and quick. We felt very comfortable on the terrace. Upon request, our pizza was adapted to be vegetarian. Highly recommended!

Ich kann das Ristorante Classico Italiano überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Wir waren letzten Samstag um 20:30 Uhr da und wollten noch ein, zwei...Cocktails trinken und dann eventuell noch ein Dessert oder Eis essen. Den ersten Cocktail haben wir auch bekommen. Da wir aber keine Hauptspeise essen wollten, wurde uns gesagt, dass wir den Cocktail austrinken und danach den Tisch sofort wieder freigeben sollten. Man gab uns 15 Minuten. Nach 15 Minuten stand der Kellner auch tatsächlich da und wollte uns abkassieren. Als wir eine Stunde später wieder da vorbeikamen, war dieser Tisch und auch einige andere Tische frei. Ich finde es extrem arrogant und anmaßend vom Gastronom, dem Gast vorzuschreiben, was er im Restaurant bestellen muss um da verweilen zu dürfen. Wir gehen sehr oft in Restaurants, es ist aber noch nie vorgekommen, das wir wieder gehen mussten, weil wir nur Getränke bestellt haben. Zum Glück gibt es ja noch viele andere Restaurants in Dresden, die ihre Gäste besser behandeln. Mein Fazit: Nie wieder Ristorante Classico Italiano Dresden!

My girlfriend and I wanted to have a few glasses of beer with a light snack (bruschetta) this evening. After we ordered we were asked to either leave or order an entree. Of course we went. To say I was surprised is an understatement... Very uncomfortable 🤢. Good luck with your business, but we definitely won't be coming back...

There are many options for Italian cuisine. Highly recommended. What's nice about it is that the restaurant is located right in the center next to the Frauenkirche.

Homemade pasta with salmon and a view of the Frauenkirche. Nothing more is possible. Attentive cellars, very good mixed drinks and the food tastes fantastic. Gladly again.

Waiters were nice and attentive. But the food has nothing in common with Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, neither spaghetti carbonara nor tiramisu tasted good. The double Ramazzotti was barely a simple one when you subtract the ice cubes...very disappointing.

There is no shortage of Italian restaurants in Dresden. You can get a good pizza or pasta everywhere. The only difference is that this restaurant has a super nice location. Opposite the Frauenkirche and with a really nice terrace. The food is OK. The problem is that it is overpriced. That likely has to do with the location, but there are plenty of places around the church that simply offer better food & cheaper drinks. 0.75l sprudel for more than 8 euro? Service is OK.

The waiter was very nice and spoke good English. The food was excellent! We had a delicious large stone oven home made pizza with a bottle of good Italian wine and a home made tiramisu.

Decent food, but an absolutely awful staff. I do not recommend! We wanted to ask for the bill and signaled to the waitress several times. The last time I signaled to him, he put his head down and started laughing and pretending that he wanted to enter the restaurant. Absolutely embarrassing and embarrassing. Ate here with 10 people. Everyone is happy, satisfied and fed up. The service is very courteous and fulfills special requests even during busy times.

The positive first...the menu came very quickly. Nothing more happened. The waiters stood bored at the front of the house and didn't even respond to someone waving. After 20 minutes we went to the pizzeria across the street.

Food is top notch, service extremely poor. Received the wrong dish twice, which of course can happen, but this was not handled very kindly. Had to wait a long time for the table to be cleared, eventually asked for the bill which also took 20 minutes. When I waved to the waiter and gestured “hello, are you coming?” the waiter asked if I could speak normally. Finally got the bill.

We had to wait a long time for the recordings. The beer was warm and the food was cold, very small and expensive. Of course there is a great atmosphere right next to the Frauenkirche. Was ok but 1x is enough.

It's been a long time since I've been visiting Dresden and I've been to this restaurant several times. But this time it was unfortunately very bad and way too overpriced. The location is great, it's really nice to sit here. But, but, but! Waiters would rather chat than serve guests. The food-Penne all' Arrabbiata pasta, the simplest kind without anything, pure tomato sauce, €16.50, 0.7 liter Pellegrino €8.50, that's a complete rip off. If at least the quality had been right, the pasta was unfortunately still sauced stretched with water. Even when the waiter mentioned the shortcomings, there was no apology. But apparently the restaurant is only tailored to tourists, who come once and then never again. It's a shame, as a former Dresden resident I find this very sad, as I really enjoyed eating there when I visited again. Unfortunately not anymore. Just keep it up!

Nice ambience. Nice waiters. Two stars deducted for the portions that were much too small. I come to you to get full and not to be hungry after eating pasta! Almost no pasta under 18€, price and portion not justified.

The one star is for the location. Rude to the point of not being possible anymore. The food isn't great either, no better than in a company canteen. Not recommendable. There are much better options for eating and drinking in the surrounding area!

Everything tasted okay, everything happened quickly. The ambience is classic, unchic promenade seating. Unfortunately the portions are very sparse. We had the burrata and bruschetta for a total of €21, the bruschetta was a slice of bread with tomatoes 🍅.

Everything about this place was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and helpful. All with a great view across neumarkt. We went back again on our stay and each time was wonderful.

Years ago, Classico Italiano was our favorite restaurant. The singer/manager greeted everyone personally, he always made a few jokes, he sang (especially for the ladies, of course) and everything was peppered with Italian charm and typical Italian warmth. The young waiters (some Italians themselves) were friendly and just the few Italian words like Buonasera, Prego, Arrivederci and the singer's longing songs gave you the feeling of "being in Italy for a short time" in the middle of Dresden. Today we were there again after a long time. I no longer felt anything about “Italy”. It was quite a mass dispatch. The waiters still speak accents today, just not Italian :-( But, hey, that was part of the magic. The appetizers were just as good as before, but that was the only thing. The pizza (with seafood) was extremely "sparingly" topped (not to say "absolutely stingy"); our dear singer was there, but didn't sing a single song. It looked "worn out" (which is not surprising after so many years) and you no longer had the feeling of being hosted by a team of Italians. But guys, that's why I'm going to the Italian restaurant! Otherwise I can go to any pizzeria. The pizza and beer taste the same there. This restaurant has "grown"... lots of tables on the street, plus the Longue (PS: the boss personally took care of the Longue guests.), but the charm for us as normal guests is gone. I'll have to find another Italian so I can "feel on vacation" on a cozy evening.

We were in Dresden again today and were able to enjoy a lovely evening in this restaurant. Today we just enjoyed the drinks……Super tasty from the champagne to the cocktail……the service was also super nice and made good recommendations about the drinks. We'd love to come back.

Too expensive for the service provided, the bruscetta, well a slice of bread with tomatoes, is really poor for the price, the lasagne is overcooked and has no taste and the portion is quite meager for the price. Probably along the lines of, you won't see people again anyway.

We were in Dresden for three evenings and actually wanted to visit different restaurants. Luckily the first restaurant was this wonderful Italian restaurant at the Frauenkirche. It was so delicious and the service was so excellent that we decided to spend all evenings here. And it was the right decision. On the last evening we ate the fantastic truffle pasta and were spoiled not only by the culinary delights but also by the extremely attentive, polite and competent service. All the service staff are great. Our special thanks go to Mahmoud Hayek, who rounded everything off perfectly. Little insider to Mahmoud: chilled Bardollino really tastes better.
