Via Re in Dresden

We enjoyed the food, but we had to wait for a very long time until we got it. There were other people arriving after us and getting their order first. Once I asked to pay, we still had to wait for a very long time again.

Very good food. Friendly service staff. We were a group of 20, so it took a little longer.

I've been waiting for my shrimp pizza for over 1.5 hours. The staff seems very untrained and disorganized. Furthermore, it's not a stone-baked pizza as described on the menu.

This very authentic Italian restaurant is tucked away just a little way from the Golden Rider. Anyone looking to enjoy a delicious pizza in a quiet corner next to lemon trees will be warmly welcomed by friendly waiters!

Super friendly service, delicious food, and a cozy and truly inviting atmosphere. We arrived after a long drive from Landshut and didn't have a reservation. Nevertheless, we immediately got a lovely spot on the terrace. The appetizer plate "la casa" exceeded our expectations, and the lasagna and roasted liver were also excellent. Very nice house wines at fair prices. Overall, an experience that calls for a repeat.

Friendly owner. Delicious and generous portions. The interior is small, but fortunately, in the summer, there's a garden in front of the restaurant and outdoor tables in the back. Delicious pizza and gnocchi.

The service was probably a bad day

Ambience: We had reserved a table, but ended up choosing outdoor seating because the music in the dining room was so loud it would have been unbearable. Our table, including the decorations and cutlery stand, needed cleaning. The plants outside were dried out, and the spider above my head had apparently been living there for a while. Food: The drinks, at 0.4, should have been filled to the brim. We had the liver and salmon. The side dishes for the former were so small that it was impossible to fill us up. Two bites of mashed potatoes and one bite of vegetables. The liver tasted good, but there weren't many onions. The salmon with pasta and spinach leaves was okay—except for the spinach, which was so oversalted that it was difficult to eat. Service: Our order was taken quickly, and the drinks and food arrived after a reasonable wait. After we complained about the food, the waiter said he would inform the kitchen. Unfortunately, there was no apology or explanation. The waiter then disappeared for 15 minutes. We and other guests wanted to pay, but there was only one other waiter, who referred us to his colleague. Since no one came, I waited at the counter to finally settle the bill. A drink was then offered as compensation, which we declined, as we had already waited long enough. Our voucher was also almost forgotten at the checkout... Unfortunately, that's not how you attract new customers...

Good food, quiet out of the way location

Service is slow, constantly changing, and there are communication issues. No communication between staff. Prosecco is served warm, not chilled. Pizzas are hardly average, but the boss is happy to take cash without a bill.

Regardless of what's been said negatively here, I can't confirm any of it. The service was super friendly, everything came relatively quickly, and the food was delicious. The pizza was very tasty, although not Italian, the dough was too thick and a little sticky, but compared to all other Italian restaurants, you'd be better off going to Via Re! A great place :)

In the saltimbocca, the meat was cooked for too long. As a result, it was tough and no longer juicy. Otherwise, the taste was okay. Perhaps a bit too salty. That comes from the ham. The chef doesn't have much control over that.

Luckily we had reservations! Nice little restaurant. Boss very nice and speaks perfect German, unfortunately not the employees. Pizza tastes good, garlic comes in a small bowl in oil and just sliced.

The pizza is the most authentic Italian pizza in Dresden.

The extremely different reviews suggest that there are frequent changes in personnel. We seem to have had bad luck today: pizza burnt (oven too hot), topping tasteless, not seasoned. Lasagna: rubbery cheese, unseasoned bolognese. The only bright spot: a very friendly, understanding boss who didn't charge for the unsuccessful pizza.

The food was sensationally delicious, the service was friendly and quick. We had a Groupon voucher, but we still felt very welcome. However, the ambience is really shabby and the sanitary area needs urgent renovation.

Unfortunately, the pizza dough for both pizzas was not cooked through at all and was very doughy. A few more seconds in the oven would have been nice. The cheese on the pizzas was either analogue cheese or mixed cheese and not good quality. The drinks were too warm.

Highly recommended, great cuisine, special requests are also taken into account, the boss is always nice and accommodating. Our stays in Dresden always include at least one visit to the VIA RE...

Via Re is located near Königsstrasse. It can be reached from the front, directly on the street, or from the back, through a small alley. The restaurant looks very cozy from the outside. The interior is modern and well maintained. The staff and the boss are friendly, accommodating and ensure a relaxed atmosphere. We had a 3-course menu. First course, bruschetta and tomato soup. Gnocchi with four types of cheese and pasta with salmon as the main course and finally, tiramisu and panna cotta. It was all really a lot, but just as delicious. Really all the dishes were as you would imagine in terms of taste and presentation. We were very full, it was tasty...it was perfect.

Wir waren mit Freunden und einem Groupon- Gutschein für ein 3-Gänge-Menü im Via Re zum Abendessen. Das Lokal ist gemütlich, das Personal, allen voran der Chef des Hauses, sehr nett und freundlich. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Bruschetta und eine Suppe bestellt, die nach langer Wartezeit serviert wurde und sehr lecker war. Als Hauptgang hatten wir Pizza, auch diese war reichhaltig belegt und sehr lecker. Das Dessert bestand aus Tartufo oder Pannacotta und es schmeckte auch sehr gut. Zum Ende gab es noch einen Schnaps und es war alles gut, außer die wirklich langen Wartezeiten bis zum Essen und zwischen den Gängen. Da wir mit Freunden dort waren hatten wir wenigstens Zeit um uns auszutauschen. Alles in allem ein schöner Abend in gemütlichem Ambiente und gutem Essen mit sehr freundlichem Personal, kann man nur empfehlen.

Ate here for the first time today (coupon book). I enjoyed the veal liver and my husband enjoyed a pizza. Both tasted good, but the waiting time was a bit long at almost 40 minutes.

The Tonno pizza was averagely tasty. The restaurant was beautifully designed. However, due to the poor service, we no longer had an appetite. We tried three times to place our order. We were shouted at by the waitress. Since we had previously ordered wine, we couldn't go and had to wait almost 40 minutes just to place our order. There were no smiles and the plates were thrown on the table. Giving your service staff customer service training may help you avoid losing more customers. Definitely never again...

We went to this restaurant for the first time because we wanted to redeem a voucher (2 dishes for the price of 1). The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and so plentiful that one dish would probably have been enough for the two of us. The lunch menu has a good selection of dishes, all under 10 euros. We will definitely come back, even without a voucher.

Very nice and Italian atmosphere with food that only compliments it. The boss Tony is a very nice and kind-hearted man who has been running the shop since 1993 and does so with love. I can only recommend this restaurant if you are looking for the taste and feeling of Italy.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this. We took salmon with fries for children. It was spicy. Instead of fries we got potatoes in the oven. No kethup in restaurants. We ordered mayonnaise and it never came. The side dish also had pasta. It works 'perfectly' with potatoes. For 24e I grilled 6 chimps with salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. Rapport price/quality > 3.

Small, rustic pizzeria, the reception was very friendly, the pizza could have been a little better seasoned, but it was really tasty, especially the pizza base. The pasta was prepared with extras upon request and was fantastic. The service was friendly and we were always served straight away. We will definitely be back.

We went to Via Re for dinner and had the Pizza Salmone and the Pizza Vegetariana. The price was right and the size of the pizzas was good. The taste was solid but not outstanding. Especially not to be compared with a real Italian pizza. The ambience is OK but unfortunately the service was very slow even though there were only a few customers. The waiter also had to ask three times what we had ordered because he kept forgetting it. There is definitely still room for improvement.

Wir waren zum Abendbrot im Via Re und hatten die Pizza Salmone und die Pizza Vegetariana. Der Preis war in Ordnung, und die Größe der Pizzen war gut. Der Geschmack war solide, aber nicht herausragend. Vor allem nicht mit einer echten italienischen Pizza zu vergleichen. Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung, aber leider war der Service sehr langsam, obwohl nur wenige Kunden da waren. Zudem musste der Kellner dreimal nachfragen, was wir bestellt hatten, da er es immer wieder vergaß. Da gibt es definitiv noch Verbesserungspotenzial.

Ein freundliches hallo und schon geht’s zum gemütlichen Teil. Pizza und Tortellini waren auf dem Punkt. Die Pizza war lecker und gut gebacken.

I think we got the wrong time. The European Championship game was the main focus. We sat down on the second terrace. We weren't offered seat cushions, but other guests were. Starters were forgotten and food came without cutlery. After requesting it, it came after about 5 minutes. Pasta very oily and tomato sauce on pizza was barely seasoned. Service was also unfriendly and probably more interested in football.

So...my girlfriend and I ate there based on the recommendation of a lady who was already sitting there. My girlfriend and I agree. We have never eaten as BAD as we did there before! It started with my latte macchiato...it came ice cold. When I complained about getting a new one, the waiter came back with the same latte, which he just frothed up again. He then promptly went back. I finally got a new one. That was good too. We then ordered the Mista salad...that worked too, but the pizza was a real hit. My margarita was rock hard and my friend's tonno had no flavor. Not recommendable

The guest room in the upper area is rustically furnished, it lacked a bit of cosiness. The food was good, the service a bit reserved. Overall we were satisfied, but there is still room for improvement.

We were visiting Dresden and “got lost” here, which was great. We had very, very tasty food here in a great ambience with a good vibe and the prices were very reasonable for the taste. We will be here again on our next visit.

Unfortunately, I was hoping for a little more from an Italian. The starter with tomato soup and bruscetta was delicious, unfortunately the cutlery was forgotten. Then 45 minutes of waiting for a pizza + spaghetti... Cutlery was taken away but no new ones were brought. Unfortunately service was overwhelmed because the woman was alone. No requests for drinks or customer contact. The conclusion is unfortunately just mediocre and not worth another visit.

The restaurant is good and centrally located, but it doesn't give the impression of an upscale restaurant. Unfortunately we weren't so happy. Food partly over-seasoned and lacking potential. We probably won't come back.

We ate there and unfortunately have to agree with the negative comments. Although the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a sufficient and clear menu, the cleanliness and service leave a lot to be desired. Apparently the table had not been cleaned before our visit, as the tablecloth still had stains and the floor was generally quite dirty. In addition, the service was catastrophic, but this was not due to the waiter's friendliness, but rather his lack of presence. We also received an incorrect order - one pizza was completely different and the other was missing an important ingredient that was even explicitly described on the menu. This was changed upon request, but without an apology.

My spaghetti carbonara and my companion's spaghetti Bolognese were very tasty. Reasonable prices. Vouchers from mobile vouchers are accepted.

Very nice boss, very nice pizza maker, nice little location on the ground floor, there are more seats upstairs. Pasta & pizza was very tasty and plentiful, especially the pizza was crispy, with an airy edge and plenty of toppings. The spicy salami wasn't that spicy. Otherwise, the starters were also very good (bruschetta and soup), no comment on the dessert as it was omitted. From a purely visual perspective, she looked chic at the next table. An espresso was enough to finish it off (unfortunately it wasn't that good despite the portafilter machine). All in all - clear recommendation!

1a Italian restaurant. No criticisms. The “worst thing” were the fairly plain plates. They were very simple and not appropriate for the delicacies on them. But that is really no reason not to recommend the restaurant.

Mit dem Groupongutschein „fatto con amore“ für 2 Personen, 3- Gänge Menü, waren wir voller Erwartung ins Lokal gegangen. Die Antipasti waren so kalt, dass das Aroma nicht durchkam. Es war auch ein Durcheinander von vielen Zutaten aus Konservengläsern entnommen ( außer Blattgrün) und das Dressing ließ zu wünschen übrig. In dem gleichen Dressing wurden zum Hauptgang auch die Kartoffeln (Bratkartoffeln?) und das matschige Gemüse wie auf dem Antipastiteller serviert . Meine Dorade war ziemlich trocken, natürlich habe ich keinen Frischfisch erwartet, das Rinderhüftsteak meines Mannes war gut, aber Kartoffeln und Gemüse wie bei der Dorade. Das Tiramisu war gut bis befriedigend. Diese Gaststätte werden wir nicht mehr besuchen.

A nice evening with friends at ViaRe. The boss is very personable and extremely friendly. We all enjoyed the food wonderfully. The only point of criticism is the cleanliness of the restaurant...

You felt very comfortable, like in a cozy trattoria in southern Italy.

We were able to make a reservation at short notice, which was really great. The food is relatively cheap, but also of good quality. Antipasti variation was average, lots of pickled vegetables, but nothing that was really high quality. The scampi in the main course were very tasty and lots of them. The vegetarian pizza was large, but the taste was nothing special. All in all a fair price for what you get, but we still expected more.

Were there on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. We were led to the upper part of the restaurant; the staircase seemed very worn out. The windows were dirty and covered in cobwebs, which is not possible. The women's toilets were an imposition. We waited over an hour for the food. You couldn't speak of service because no one actually showed up upstairs unless food was brought. The salmon with penne was ok, the beef steak was nothing special and the potatoes were completely overcooked. The prices were at least relatively low, so they corresponded to the quality. Not a restaurant we would go to again now, especially because of the cleanliness.

Cozy little restaurant. Very good service and delicious, lush pizza. Has 2 floors which you don't see at first glance. Ambience is clean but still needs improvement in some places. Please come back next time you visit.

Kleines verstecktes Restaurant in familiärer Umgebung mit gutem Essen. Sowohl die Vorspeise als auch der Hauptgang, Pizza, waren sehr gut.

Die Pizza war ganz hervorragend, die beste, die wir seit langem gegessen haben - tolle Krumenstruktur und ganz knustrger Rand. Pizza absolut empfehlenswert, guter Service und Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Große Pizza, wenn auch viel Teig und dicker Rand, dadurch war der Belag bei meiner Pizza mit scharfer Salami etwas zu wenig und der Rand sehr trocken, wobei man uns dann noch etwas Öl reichte. Die Bruschetta war gut belegt und hübsch angerichtet.

Sehr lecker!!! Große Portionen!!! Schönes Ambiente und aufmerksamer Service. Wir geben hier gerne 5Sterne und unsere besondere Empfehlung!

Sehr schönes, gemütliches und ruhiges Restaurant mit einem Ambiente als wäre man in Italien selbst. Pizza und Pasta beide wie aus Italien und mit dem anderen Speisen auf der Karte wird man auch sehr glücklich. Nur zu empfehlen!

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Das Fleisch war trocken. Gemüse und Kartoffelecken trieften vor Öl. Salat war grenzwertig. Angeblich seit zwei Tagen keine EC Zahlung möglich, was wahrscheinlich Methode hat. Leider keine Empfehlung, trotz des netten Ambientes.

Wir hatten 2 super leckere Pizzen gehabt und die liebe Kellnerin hat uns sehr schnell all unsere Wünsche erfüllt. Kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Sehr hübsches kleines Restaurant, vor allem der Innenhof, welcher eigentlich nur eine kleine Gasse ist, bietet dieses italienische Flair. Dazu noch Toni, der Wirt, un Originale! Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und sehr lecker italienisch gespeist. Fast wie in Bella Italia...

Wir waren vor einiger Zeit hier essen, nun ist das Restaurant wohl vorübergehend geschlosse, schade. Es ist ein sehr solides Restaurant mit einer gutes Auswahl an Speisen. Diese waren sehr lecker und die Portionen waren ausreichend groß.

Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt auch die Kellnerin war sehr nett und zuvorkommend gerne wieder

Sehr gelungener Umbau des Aussenbereich am Obergraben und im Innenbereich zur Rähnitzgasse. Sehr netter Chef und Angestellte sehr freundlich. Keine langen Wartezeiten und sehr leckere Pizza. Ich glaube die beste in ganz Dresden.

Zwei Sterne für die freundliche Bedienung, ansonsten leider nicht zu empfehlen. Das Essen lieblos zubereitet, die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte zu 90 % aus der Dose, der Salat teilweise gammelig, alte, verwelkte Blätter nicht aussortiert.

Wenn Ihr Lust auf Bargeldzahlung und muslimisch-orientalisches Handling habt, dann könnte dieses Restaurant das Richtige Euch sein.

Visited for a quiet Wednesday lunch time just before closing. Excellent pizza and friendly service off the main tourist route. Basic English but no cards. Outside seating in the courtyard at the back.
