Absolutely disgusted at the level of service! Had a meal for two with a high end wine I tipped 10% which I thought that was adequate. The waiter decided it wasn’t and embarrassed me by stating it wasn’t enough wow… I’m in shock beware

A true Italian gem for eating out in Berlin. Charming staff, delicious food and stylish ambience. The highlight was the preparation of the tiramisus at the table. Fantastic and very tasty.

The restaurant does not meet the requirements of a good Italian restaurant. The waiter didn’t speak English and couldn’t provide relevant advice about the dishes, but he didn’t forget to ask for a tip. The food was almost below average. The environment itself is clean, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend the staff or the food.

The ambience and the staff were incredible, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. Even though the starter was very good, I and most of my classmates were not convinced by the main course. Especially for this high price you can expect more quality in Germany...

The food was ok but definitely overpriced. For two people with four glasses of wine 160 € - we would have expected much more. The truffle spaghetti for €32, which was unfortunately served cold, was particularly disappointing. Price-performance ratio is not right here.

Man wird empfangen, wie im Ritz, die Mäntel werden abgenommen und gehoben getan, dies wird jedoch nicht eingehalten, hatten uns auf die in der Karte als hausgemachte Nudeln mit Lachs gefreut, 22 €, diese waren weder frisch noch selbstgemacht. Vorsicht. Am Folgetag hatte ich Magen-Darm-Beschwerden. Nicht zu empfehlen, schade.

9€ for 0.75 liters of Aqua Panna or San Pellegrino... I think that's crazy!

Excellent cuisine, very pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff!

Had something for dinner before a visit to the Friedrichstadtpalast (just opposite). Very good, quick service, food was very tasty and plentiful (at least for us). Ambience is okay, there is certainly something nicer. The tables at the entrance area are not recommended in winter as it is very cold due to the constant change of guests. The prices are really okay for the central location. Feel free to come by again.

Mi esposa y yo comimos el menú de Nochevieja en Restaurant Cinque 31 diciembre 2024 . Qué circo. Llegamos a las 7: 30 pm y no salió del restaurante hasta las 11 : 30 pm. El menú constaba de seis porciones. Sopa de langosta, carpaccio de pez monje, pasta con trufa negra, sorbete de champán, pez monje con tocino en una cama de risotto y suflé de chocolate de postre. El menú estaba bien, pero lejos de un nivel gourmet! El servicio fue un escándalo. Los sirvientes corrían por ahí, y uno no sabía lo que hacía el otro. El mismo servicio se entregó dos veces en algunas mesas. (No hubo presentación de los platos, pero tuvimos que seguir a través de la tarjeta de menú). Tuvimos que enviar un plato de carne de vuelta, como habíamos pedido pescado. Hubo un tiempo de espera de 30 a 40 minutos entre porciones, y ciertamente no fuimos los únicos que esperamos impacientes. El personal de servicio simplemente no pudo hacer frente a la tarea y la insatisfacción se extendió en el restaurante. En varias mesas hubo fuertes quejas. En Berlín, sin embargo, aparentemente se da por sentado que la gente quiere dar propinas. Puedes elegir si quieres dar 5 , 10 u otro porcentaje. Optamos por dar 0 , cosa que el jefe de camareros no entendió. In my opinion a great restaurant. 1-A service. We felt very comfortable there with a total of three people and were probably a bit lucky with the space. It certainly makes sense to reserve in advance. Conclusion: Always happy. 😊

Disappointment across the board – never again! We were so looking forward to the 6-course meal on New Year's Eve, but what we experienced was an absolute disaster. Dinner didn't start until 8pm, and the first meal came a whopping 2.5 hours later. The pasta that was eventually served was cold and the staff was consistently unfriendly and unprofessional. When we politely asked why everything was taking so long, we received no answer. We finally left the restaurant at 11:30 p.m. – but only because we had insisted on eating the rest of our food. There could be no question of enjoyment or a celebratory atmosphere. When asked whether one could receive a discount due to the serious defects, the manager reacted extremely rudely and was absolutely not customer-oriented. Overall it was a **very bad experience** that wasn't worth the price of 120 euros per person or the long wait. The taste of the food was “okay”, but the portions were tiny and definitely not appropriate for the price. We definitely cannot recommend this restaurant – for New Year’s Eve or any other occasion!

Catastrophic! Be careful! Cheater! The first dish of six arrived after an incredible 2.5 hours - and before New Year's Eve, for 130 euros per person! No apologies, no explanations, just ignorance. Half of the guests have already left the restaurant, and the rest have waited patiently - only to be bitterly disappointed in the end. The second dish didn't arrive until 11:30 p.m. and the mood slowly became restless. Several guests complained, but all they received was a smile and no accommodation whatsoever. When we finally complained ourselves, not only were we ignored, but we were also threatened with violence! An unbelievable escalation and for over 500 euros in the end!! The rest of the evening was similarly disappointing: half-hearted food, no real New Year's Eve atmosphere, and the entire experience was a disaster. It was absolutely not worth the money or time. We will never recommend this restaurant and are shocked by the behavior of the operators.

We booked this restaurant a month in advance for New Year’s Eve 2024, expecting something special. it turned into one of the worst dining experiences. 2.5 hours waiting and didn’t even get through three of the six courses. No one came by to explain or apologize. When the food arrived, it was cold and far from authentic Italian. the meal was over €150 per person including wine. an outrageous price for poor service and disappointing food. This night meant to be a celebration, but it ended up ruining our New Year’s Eve. DON’T GO THERE!!!!

Fuimos a pasar la noche de fin de año. El menú eran 130€ por persona sin bebidas. La experiencia fue horrenda. Llegamos a las 20,15h y a las 12 de la noche aún no habíamos tomado el plato principal. El camarero nos dijo que el pensó en no ir a trabajar porque habían previsto raciones para 50 personas y tuvieron 200. La gente casi se amotinó. Hubo platos del menú que ni pusieron. Nos hicieron pagar un menú entero por cada 2 niños (éramos 4 adultos y 4 niños) y le pusieron solo un escaso plato de pasta a cada uno. Nos estropearon la noche. Lamentable. No suelo escribir reseñas pero de verdad obviar este sitio aunque al entrar parece acogedor. Nos sentimos timados.

Very nice atmosphere, attentive waiters and excellent dinner!!

We weren't satisfied at all. The restaurant lacks cosiness. We absolutely cannot call our dishes 'upscale' delicacies. The pasta wasn't al dente but almost raw! should have been cooked for at least a few more minutes. The fish we ordered was generally okay, but it tasted like a well-known TG product from Iglo with a crispy crust, you don't have to spend money on it in a restaurant, it was prepared 0815. The portions were very small. The wine could be tasted in advance, but was not decanted afterwards. Some of the staff were very unfriendly and grim. The furnishings were partly dilapidated and should not be set up in a restaurant that supposedly offers an upscale ambience. We can't recommend the restaurant; alternatively, there are several small trattorias nearby, which were fully booked and so we had to move to the empty Cinque.

Die Pasta war einfallslos und die Bedienung ohne jedes Engagement. Es gibt bessere Restaurants in Berlin, besonders zu den Preisen.

The “in” Italian in the area. You walk into the restaurant and half of the guests know the other half!

The food was good but not particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a long time to be seated. During dinner, we received minimal attention from the staff and had to actively approach the waiters to get service. They also didn’t notice when we had finished eating, leaving plates uncleared, and didn’t ask if we wanted dessert. The atmosphere wasn’t very inviting either. The bright lighting made the space feel less cozy, though the restaurant has potential to create a more pleasant ambiance if this is adjusted.

Wir sind leidenschaftliche Besucher von italienischen Restaurants in un um Italien. Hier gab's keine Spur von italienische Freundlichkeit, zuvorkommenheit. Nach mehr als eine Stunde kam unser Essen.Die Nudeln waren lauwarm,der Service gehetzt und uninteressant,es gab keine Kommunikation. Wir fanden die Karte überschaubar und überteuert. Auch ein nobel Restaurant kann landestypische Speisen wie Pizza oder Lasagne anbieten. Hätte das ganze sympathischer gemacht. Die Toiletten waren dreckig,lieblos. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen.

Etwas Abseits gelegen, aber der Weg lohnt sich. Vorspeisenteller, Risotto mit Pfifferlingen und Spaghetti mit Garnelen, alles schmeckte sehr gut und auch die Portionen waren zum satt werden. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Upscale Italian restaurant with excellent food and attractive rooms. The service was a bit pushy, we were supposed to order what was recommended, when we didn't he was disappointed. Then I was told that cards were “unfortunately” not accepted, but since I didn’t have enough cash it worked.

Rein zufällig sind wir auf dieses stilvoll eingerichtete Restaurant gestossen und haben dort einen wunderschönen Abend verbracht. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. So hervorragende Spaghetti Aglio Olio habe ich noch nie, nicht einmal in Italien, genossen. Piccante und in der richtigen Konsistenz, genau so wie sie sein müssen! Auch der Service hat uns überzeugt: Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend mit dem Gefühl für das richtige Timing für ein entspanntes Dinner. Unser Warten auf das Taxi wurde am Schluss mit einem offerierten Limoncello überbrückt. Fazit: Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Berlin das Cinque mit Sicherheit wieder besuchen und es unseren Freunden wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Terrible! After an hour and a half (with two children at the table!) the first meal arrived, about five minutes later the second dish and a few minutes later the remaining four. All completely uninspired and below average in terms of both presentation and ingredients. Four of the plates and food were cold and visibly stale. Two of them were missing ingredients or side dishes, one of which was added after another ten minutes. Drinks were extremely difficult to order because the entire gallery was ignored by all employees. When we asked for the restaurant manager, pretty much every employee came over to ignore and dismiss our complaints. We then rejected the completely exorbitant bill, whereupon the manager suddenly appeared. While my friends took another 10 minutes to pay the reduced bill, I was already out in the fresh air with my children because I wanted to spare them any further Italian hospitality. Thanks for absolutely nothing.

An excellent meal that we enjoyed here before a visit to the revue in the Friedrichstadtpalast. The only drawback was that we had to set off more quickly after eating.

Two professional days in Berlin, two evenings at the Cinque! 🙂 Met 5 years ago, remembered often and now checked to see if the Cinque is still as tasty and as friendly. The food was very tasty, but the service was subpar. It took 15 minutes until we got a card, 30 minutes until our water arrived, which we had ordered immediately upon arrival, and after 50 minutes the starter arrived. To make up for it, our wine glasses were overfilled with our wine bottle. :( Virtually no interaction with the waiters who were completely uninterested and never came even though it wasn't busy. It was almost impossible to even pay. That's not right for a restaurant like this in this price range. We certainly won't repeat that. There was no Gappa from the house at the end either.

The organization for the people who had already booked was extremely bad so a lot of people were waiting at outside and of course we waited 30min to enter. The table was not prepared unfortunately. At the last,the food was not delicious at all. The dish was so dirty ( look the pictures ) and the pasta….was the worst. I’m so sorry but not recommending here.

Very nice atmosphere and also very good service. Unfortunately, it is also a bit more expensive. We had a bill of €92 for 3 simple dishes (spaghetti with tomato sauce, Caesar salad, and pasta) with a bottle of water, Sprite, non-alcoholic wheat and a dessert for everyone. We also went to other Italian restaurants in Berlin and this one was by far the most expensive. The ambience is very nice, the quality of the food was good, but not great.

Everything was fine, the only thing I didn't like was the service. Waiter first put his hand under his nose. Didn't get a receipt, despite asking - you'd like to know what you were spending your money on - didn't get a digestive, in contrast to the other tables, but a very nice and good sommelier.

Horrible experience here. Waited 20 minutes after our reservation to be seated. Forgot one of my friends dishes so we all ate while my friend watched. Carbonara was cold and the pancetta was not crispy at all. Do yourself a favor and go to any other restaurant in the city.

We have booked a table for four people and arrived on time. There were more than 30 people waiting to get seated and all had reservations.

I’m honestly not sure who is leaving positive reviews for this place. The service is horrible, they ran out of bread at 9:30 pm? That’s like McDonald’s running out of buns. The Carbonara was horrible, it was a blend of lunchables ham with kraft Parmesan cheese on a plate. No wonder why it was the only reservation we could get tonight. Please never come here

The place is very nice and appears as if it is a high end restaurant. We made a reservation for 8:30 and weren’t seated for 20 minutes while being ignored the whole time. They didn’t have a real table for us so they pushed 2 small tables together. They didn’t even clear the table from the prior diners, and left the dirty crumbs and table cloths on the table. Now onto the worst part, if I could give the service a 0 I would. We had 4 different waiters come over to us trying to take our order after already ordering. They got our orders wrong, and it took an hour of us sitting down to get our food. When we finally did, one person didn’t receive any of their food and it took an incredibly long time even when we reminded them. Ultimately we told them to not even bring it. Compared to this place the kebab shop next to our hotel looks like a Michelin star restaurant. The food itself, as expected. Also not great.

The pasta was extremely overcooked and missing salt, the burrata with tomatoes has almost no tomatoes. The waiting time after ordering was far more than an hour (they blamed the entrecot). Overall dull and definitely not worthy for the amount of money we spent. The restaurant itself and the staff are nice and the chairs comfortable.

We arrived at 8:45 p.m. with reservation. 3 people. They try to seat us at a table right at the door. It took them 45 minutes to bring a burrata and 1:45 to bring the pasta. The food was cold and in the spaghetti aglio e olio there were noodles mixed in… a disaster

Terrible experience overall. our family showed up with a reservation and when we arrived, we were sat at a table in a separate room from the main restaurant that was very claustrophobic. it took the staff over 20 minutes to acknowledge we were there and finally gave us menus. after another 20 minutes we were finally able to place our orders for drinks and food. a bottle of wine took 15 minutes to come out, and a beer took over an hour and a half to arrive after we had to ask a different waitress from the one we started with, and it arrived lukewarm. when we were finally served our appetizers and entrees at the same time, it had been over 2 hours since we had sat down. the food only arrived after we had to pester the waiters and the cook staff. only one table in the separate seating area were given meals in a timely fashion. we saw a table leave early after 3/5 guests were served and the other 2 left hungry as their entrees arrived 30 minutes after they left. our entrees were cold, carbonara was buttered noodles with bacon bits, and the salmon pasta tasted like spagettios out of a can. the table next to us resorted to going to the outdoor tables to get silverware as the restaurant staff were unresponsive to their request. overall, this was the worst service I've ever received in my life. for a total time of 2.5 hours spent at this restraunt, we left hungry and immediately headed to another restaurant eat.

The restaurant apparently missed that there was a trade fair in town. Half the menu was no longer available when we ordered at 8pm and we waited two hours for our main course.

Very nice and cozy Italian restaurant with a real Italian chef. Pasta aglio e olio was really good and is not easy to make a good one. It was like eating in a trattoria in Rome! Service was excellent and friendly…we will definitely visit it again!

Das Restaurant ist sehr schön und ansprechend eingerichtet. Insbesondere die Tische im Außenbereich. Man sitzt hier unter Bäumen in denen Lichterketten und Lampen positioniert sind. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet und man fühlt sich direkt wie in Italien. Wir waren zu viert und sowohl die Weinauswahl sowie gewählten Speisen (Fisch sowie Pasta) waren vorzüglich.

Overall good, fish and sparkling water were not available. Lots of spelling typos on the menu.

The outdoor seating vibe is wonderful actually. As one can expect, you're paying for an overpriced meal mostly because of the location. But what's ironic is that the 12€ tiramisu is not the worst bit of it. Although I must say, the tiramisu is really good, and as authentic as I've found in Italian restaurants in Berlin. Service was good, to a point where it was terrible. At some point, our server completely forgot our dessert order and came back after an hour only to apologize and say, but of course we would get an espresso or limoncello on the house because of our inconvenience. Honestly I would never have been here in the first place, this was a friend's birthday party and while the atmosphere sitting outside is indeed beautiful, absolute waste of money. Food is at best mediocre and portion sizes make you cringe. Look, read the reviews, but its quite obvious from the photos of the place and the food, so you know what you're in for.

A very nice restaurant with a shady terrace. I had fish soup and sea bream with salad. Both were really good. However, salmon does not belong in a Mediterranean fish soup.

Unfortunately the service was quite a disaster. We ordered mixed starters and each our own main courses. After the starters we waited over an hour for the main courses. We negotiated with the waiter to get espresso on the house. When billing, he claimed we asked if the espresso was homemade. We got 7 espressos and paid for 10 that he actually wanted to give to us. The boss actually wanted to take care of clarifying it, but the waiter kept waving it off and tried to explain to us in broken German that we had to pay for everything. Unfortunately, I had the impression that he didn't even understand the problem. In the end we paid for everything and simply won't be coming back.

I had a salad with salmon and avocado. The avocado wasn't on the plate. The staff was not interested in the complaint. No compromise on price. The portion was measly. The apple juice spritzer was lacking. In the end I paid 25 euros for it. I will never go there again and cannot recommend it. Lots of appearance but no reality.

We were here for the first time and loved it. Even though the restaurant is in the middle of Berlin, it was wonderfully quiet here. The food was delicious and very nicely prepared. A big thank you to the staff who were very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed this evening and will be happy to come back when we visit Berlin.

We invited there for business dinner. It was very casual place. Their pasta which is with truffle was good. They made tiramisu in front of us. It was also ok.

The staff was so busy with wedding preparations that I had to go and remind us... but we already had drinks. It wasn't that bad, because otherwise EVERYTHING was PERFECT!

Excelente comida y servicio digno de una estrella Michelin. Muy bien amueblado también. Lo único malo es que estaba casi vacío, lo que redujo la atmósfera. Sin duda recomendaría, pero tal vez para una pareja por su cuenta no tan bueno (aunque estábamos y disfrutamos!) . Coste era de 150 euros incl propina e incl una muy buena botella de vino ( 50 ) , así que no está mal la relación calidad-precio

We went for my boyfriend’s birthday and had a lovely dinner at Cinque. The food was absolutely delicious (especially the antipasti) and the garden is very romantic. Just note that the prices are much more expensive than what it says here on Google Maps :)

Good service, which came across as a bit stiff. The business lunch completely convinced us. Fair prices and a very good quality and concentrated menu. You can sit in the shade both inside and outside on a very large terrace and still be within walking distance of the city.

We both chose this restaurant for the final night of our trip to Berlin, and were very impressed from the moment we stepped in. We were seated in the courtyard, which was perfect on a warm evening, the young male waiter was attentive, and very helpful, the food from the starter through to the dessert was exquisite, and highly comparable to Michelin star restaurants. My partner is vegetarian, and had no trouble in deciding on an extensive choice. This is a beautiful restaurant with a superb menu offering and would love to eat there again if we ever return to Berlin.

We were there with two people this lunchtime and had the business menu with three courses. We ate outside. The ambience was ok. The service was typically Berlin grumpy (except for the older gentleman). The food wasn't up to par. The starter with mozzarella caprese on crushed lettuce and tasteless tomato with pesto from the tube was followed by sea bream that had been warmed up several times and therefore appeared almost smoked. The finale was a rather soggy tiramisu, which unfortunately wasn't worthy of the Italian classic. The price was comparatively low at 28 euros for the menu. You probably can't ask for more for it in Berlin.

Very enjoyable dining at Cinque Berlin. We LOVED the antipasti - full of Italian flavours, olive oil, seafood, tomatoes and flavours. The bread was not interesting though (make that better, please), but five stars for the service from our waiter Antonello - a very nice and attentive man doing everything to make our visit very enjoyable. I loved the risotto, full of flavour and the dessert, which to our luck was very light - lemon sorbet with prosecco. Very very good! We were there very early so not many people around, but only trying to imagine the liveliness there when full of people. Niiiiice! We will be bqck!
