I happened upon it by chance and thought it looked beautiful from the outside. It was very busy, but the waiter still found a seat for us. We ordered the truffle pasta, which was excellent, a salad, and aglio oglio, which was also delicious. The waiters are all very friendly. Our waiter was funny and made a joke, spreading good cheer. We'll definitely be back. A little tip: It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation in advance.

A true piece of Italy – highly recommended! We were thrilled with our visit to this wonderful Italian restaurant. The warm atmosphere and authentic charm are immediately apparent upon entering. We ate a salad with shrimp and oranges – a wonderfully fresh combination that was light, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. An antipasto plate was equally delicious: lovingly prepared, with a great selection of Italian specialties – simply delicious! The two pizzas we also enjoyed were a real highlight: crispy bases, fresh ingredients, and seasoned just right – just as you would expect from a true Italian pizza. The service was exceptional – we were served personally by the chef, extremely courteous and warm, as if we were long-time regulars.

The evening itself was truly successful – the food was delicious, the atmosphere pleasant, and we were looking forward to a pleasant evening together. Unfortunately, this impression was severely tarnished by the extremely unprofessional behavior of one of the employees. When paying, we were completely surprised when the waitress openly asked why there was "only" such a small tip. I was speechless – such a remark is, in my opinion, disrespectful and completely inappropriate. Tipping is a voluntary act of appreciation, not an entitlement. Such behavior towards guests is unacceptable to me and casts a very poor light on the service. It's unfortunate that a single employee could have such a negative impact on an otherwise enjoyable evening. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident – because the restaurant itself actually had the potential to be a thoroughly successful visit.

We enjoyed a wonderful summer evening on the terrace. We enjoyed Mediterranean cuisine with fish (monkfish and sea bream) and a good Italian white wine (Vermentino). Thank you very much.

Very disappointing visit - never again! We went to Garbatella Restaurant for lunch today and unfortunately had a very bad experience. I ordered linguine with shrimp, but the dish had an unpleasantly strong smell. When I complained about it, the waiter initially wanted to take it back, but shortly afterwards came back with the boss. He reacted very unfriendly and absolutely refused to accept that the food was inedible. He aggressively claimed that the smell came from the white wine in the dish - which was not at all convincing. Instead of showing understanding, he insisted that we pay the dish and was overall very rude and not customer oriented. One thing is certain for us: we definitely won't be coming back!

I really enjoy being here and often eat there with friends. Very attentive service, delicious food with consistently good quality. It is opposite the cemetery and also very close to my apartment. That's why it's a good idea to check in more often. In the summer I like to sit outside with my little dachshund, who always gets a bowl of water. My favorite food is the spaghetti alio olio, beetroot gnocchi or “Cocktail di Gamberi” (shrimp cocktail with green asparagus in orange mustard sauce).

We had a vegetarian starter platter and it was surprisingly varied and not only had the standard things, there were also baked vegetables. The pickled tomatoes were particularly delicious. The tuna salad also had a tasty dressing, but could have been a little more generous. The service was lovely and entertaining. The atmosphere is pleasant and the audience is discreetly dignified, the average age is estimated to be around 40 years.

Soon after ordering, the very tasty food arrives, especially pasta dishes and the large pizzas are very tasty; The menu of daily specials is very varied, there is something for every taste. After a long time we were back at Garbatella. We were 7 people. 2 from Potsdam, 3 from COSTA RICA and us 2 from the neighborhood. We were totally thrilled. The pizza 🍕 a la Napoli - was also very good: fresh tomato sauce & airy dough. We also had pasta with game ragout. We dipped the sauce with bread at the end because it was so delicious. My Parmesan pasta was also delicious. The portions are decent.

I say only €16.50 for Carpaccio di Manzo. In the area you can enjoy the same quality and service for around 30% less. Why do you have to exaggerate so much here?

We had a JGA with 10 women. Antipasti platters were expensive and didn't taste that good. But the main course was great. The evening almost turned out well, but unfortunately we had a very bad experience when paying. Tip was refused because it wasn't good enough. I have never experienced anything like it !! I come from the catering industry myself and find it incredibly rude to dismissively refuse tips from your guests. Regardless of whether it is 1€ or 10€, money is not valued or honored here. Greedy and rude manner!

I ordered penne all'arrabbiata and after a few bites realized there was meat in it. Since I'm a vegetarian, I stopped eating. When the waiter came at the end and asked how it was, I politely said that I didn't know there was meat in penne all'arrabbiata (I just wanted to explain why my plate was still full). He took the plate with a really angry face and left without saying a word. When paying I tipped 3 euros despite his behavior and he still looked angry, angrily put the receipt on the table and walked away. Here's a screenshot that doesn't say it contains meat. I can't recommend it and that was the first and last time.

Sehr leckeres Essen in dezentem Ambiente! Immer wieder neu überrascht

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant in einer ruhigen idyllischen Lage, sehr freundliche Menschen im Service und das Essen war auch sehr lecker! Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: wir waren das letzte Mal im September 2022 hier, wir kommen immer wenn wir in Berlin sind. Seinerzeit hatten wir einen überragend guten Antipasti Teller, in der vergangenen Woche waren wir jedoch enttäuscht von den Antipasti, sowohl was die Menge als auch die Qualität anbelangt. Vielleicht lag es ja daran, dass wir an einem Dienstag mittags da waren, vielleicht sind die Antipasti zum Wochenende oder abends besser. Wir werden trotzdem immer wieder hier essen wenn wir in Berlin sind, nur eben ohne Antipasti 😉.

Was euphorische Internetbewertungen wert sind, wenn sie in die Hunderte gehen, weiß jeder der im Internet mal was darüber gelesen hat. Derzeit stört der Sand auf den Pfefferlingen. Derzeit ist allerdings die Pizza gerade ganz ok... Vor sieben Jahren war es hier anders. Da war ich Stammkunde. Was ist inzwischen passiert?

Die Pizza war etwas zusammen gewürfelt und die Lasagne an einer Ecke total verbrannt.

Früher war ich hier ständig essen. Italienische Atmosphäre pur und der beste Vorspeisenteller der Stadt. Dann kam der Besitzerwechsel. Das Essen war immer noch super aber irgendwie fehlte die persönliche Note des Vorbesitzers. Er und seine Familie die alle mithalfen waren einfach unschlagbar beim Thema Gäste umsorgen. Daher bin ich jetzt seltener da. Nicht desto trotz ist das Restaurant zu empfehlen. Das Essen ist lecker und die Bedienung nett.

Wir feierten den 18. Geburtstag unseres Sohnes in einem schönen Ambiente mit sehr leckerem Essen und sehr freundlichen -aufmerksamen Personal. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, obwohl wir aus Pankow kommen.

Leider war die Bedienung nicht sehr freundlich. Hier gehe ich nicht mehr hin.
