Service is friendly and attentive, but there were were only 5 guests present, so it wasn’t too busy either. Food is good but nothing to write home about. I ordered tagliatelle with lamb ragu, my pasta was slightly over and no meat visible, just crumbs. The fish dish we ordered was a tiny portion and the bread was burnt. Highlight was the pannacotta. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed and will go elsewhere if we want to spend 130€.

I was so excited to eat there just to find out that You are obligated to choose an Antipasti that costs from 16 euros plus main course. If it’s a bundle they should sell that as so and not publicize them separately to fool people in thinking they will spend around 20 euros/pp to eat when you spend at least 40 when you pay the 10% (that if you drink water only). Not only that but the food was totally monotonous and not impressive at all, I felt robbed for such average food.

A small, cute and very tidy restaurant. The prices are a bit high and the portions a bit small (but not as small as on the site!) but the quality is high and the care perhaps more so. We will return with pleasure.

Very tasty little menu, plus attentive service! The portions are a bit small for the high prices. The seating in the small shop is quite cramped and the bright light makes it seem a bit uncomfortable, but like many things, that's a matter of taste.

The food there is very tasty, especially the homemade pasta. The service was very courteous and friendly. The small shop has its own personal charm. You should go hungry as you always order a starter and a main dish.

Way too expensive for the simple “trattoria” style food they offer. Paccheri with mussels were boring and underwhelming, pasta with broccoli was just alright. Enthusiastic reviews are clearly from non italians. There are so many better Italian restaurants in Berlin where you can get a more sophisticated experience for the same price.

Für uns das kulinarische Highlight in Friedrichshain. Ein kleines und feines italienisches Restaurant. Finssereiche Vorspeisen, Pasta aus eigener Produktion, sehr gut gebratene Steaks, lecker Fischgerichte und Verwöhn-Desserts – köstlich! Alles frisch, das geht natürlich nur mit einer kleinen Karte. An guten Weinen mangelt es nicht. Geführt wird das Lokal von einem jungen italienischen Paar. ER kocht und SIE macht den Service, beide sehr sympathisch. Mateca e Tassi, ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Genießen.

Klein aber fein. Zwei junge Leute die seit längerem dieses Juvel betreiben, mit viel persönlichen Engagement.

Wow... amazing homemade pasta. Chef knows how to build complex flavors into a dish. We wondered about heading across town for "another" Italian meal in Berlin but it was worth it. Great little place and friendly proprietors. Might just have to catch the Ringbahn to Ostkreutz again as it is a simple walk from there.

Could not recommend this place more! The food and wine are absolutely delicious (coming from a very picky Italian from Milan), the atmosphere is great and the owners are super nice and welcoming. Best Italian restaurant in Friedrichshain. Absolutely to be tried!

Wir gehen immer wieder sehr gerne hier essen. Tolles Menü und handwerklich sehr fein gemacht! Egal ob Pasta, Fisch oder Fleisch. Dazu die sehr freundliche Bedienung. Da lohnt sich der Weg aus dem nahen Brandenburg jedes Mal. Bis demnächst :)

Klein, aber oho! Wechselnde Gerichte im Menü (Pasta und Secondi), super Auswahl an Wein und Getränken. Echte italienische Küche mit Anspruch und Liebe und besten Zutaten von zwei tollen Gastgebern. Wir gehen immer satt und glücklich nach Hause!

It's extremely cosy with only 6 tables making it a very intimate food experience .We booked for a Thursday night (I would suggest you book before you go) and went for the set 3 course menu with a delicious bottle of red wine. The whole experience was amazing and the food was just perfection, we both went for the fillet steak main which came perfectly medium rare in a veal sauce which just melted away in your mouth. It's such a wonderful experience and Giulia and Jordano are warm and welcoming and they are doing everything right we hope to be back in Berlin very soon so we can have a return visit

Ganz tolles kleines inhabergeführtes Restaurant mit fabelhaftem Essen. Die Pasta war on point, die Vorspeisen fabelhaft und das Dessert ein Traum. Es gibt auch für Vegetarier tolle Optionen, wie z.B. die beste Trüffelpasta, die ich je gegessen habe. Wir werden ganz sicher häufiger kommen. Das Menü variiert je nach saisonaler Verfügbarkeit, was wir sehr gut finden.

Klein und fein - wir haben in gemütlicher Atmosphäre sehr lecker gegessen! Freuen uns aufs nächste Mal!

Small menus means good food, and Masteca e Tasi really proves that. Good value for money and the sweetest owner and staff! Call and book early! The please is tiny and exquisite.

Wir haben in diesem kleinen Restaurant sehr gut gegessen.Da das Wetter super war,haben wir draussen gesessen.Es gibt draussen wie drinnen nur wenige Plätze,deshalb hatten wir reserviert.Dabei wurden wir darauf aufmerksam gemacht,dass es Menue gibt,bzw dass wir aus verschiedenen Angeboten 3 Speisen wählen müssen.Dies haben wir auch gerne gemacht.Alle 3 Gerichte pro Person waren vorzüglich. Die Bedienung freundlich.Ich würde sagen,in unseren 9 Tagen Berlin haben wir dort am besten gespeist.Wenn überhaupt was zu kritisieren ist ,dann das die einzelnen Gänge zu schnell hintereinander serviert wurden.Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste mal.

Seit Jahren ist das Masteca e Tasi eines meiner absoluten Favoriten. Es wird von einem jungen Paar aus Italien mit viel Liebe und Hingabe geführt. Die wechselnde Karte sorgt für Abwechslung und bis jetzt hat jedes Gericht sehr gut geschmeckt. Es empfiehlt sich zu reservieren!

Homemade pastas were delish and the bruschetta with ricotta, Lardo and truffle was worth fighting my wife over. Cash only and reservations are a must as it’s maybe 20 seats. This small Italian restaurant is our absolute favourite in Berlin. Even with a quite short menu, this family managed restaurant portraits a fullblown picture of northern Italian cuisine. With an excellent and very personal service and an amazing cuisine quality in Berlin, you do need not to travel to Italy for great italian food. Short for money? You're in the right place, prices are more than modest.

You will need to reserve before you come, then you will have the chance to sit in a small restaurant where the wine is high quality, the food is all about fresh products and right amount of everything. I've been there few times since we discovered it. We enjoyed everytime. Special plus for the desserts. Especially perfect for a gallant dinner!

Ein nettes Wirtspaar bietet ein angenehmes Ambiente und eine engagierte Küche mit solider Qualität und eher kleinen Portionen. Die relativ hohen Preise sind angesichts des kleinen Raumangebots und der langen Sitzzeiten der Gäste angemessen. Auch, wenn es sicher gleich gute oder bessere italienische Angebote gibt, ist das Gesamtpaket von M&T etwas Besonderes und für Liebhaber italienischer Gastfreundschaft empfehlenswert.

Wunderschönes, kleines Restaurant, das in dieser Gegend absolut unerwartet, dafür umso positiver überraschend, daher kommt. Man lehnt sich zurück, kann den touri-traffic vergessen und sich von der ausgezeichneten Küche verwöhnen lassen. Man findet hier - zum Glück - eine sehr kleine, selektive Karte vor, die regelmäßig wechselt, was den Fokus auf die Speisen und die Qualität permanent hochhält. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr fürsorglich, die Weinauswahl limitiert, aber hervorragend. Mein Ziel ist es, alle Speisen auszuprobieren, da man der Küche blind vertrauen kann. Darreichung, als auch Geschmack sind deutlich überdurchschnittlich. So man einen Lieblingsitaliener im Kiez sucht, so wird man hier fündig. Unbedingte Empfehlung!

Wirklich sehr leckere, frische und kreative Küche. Mal was ganz anderes. Der Hauptgang des Menüs hätte für mich aber etwas mehr sein dürfen. Komme aber sicher nochmal wieder.

Eine Perle in dieser doch anstrengend hippen Gegend. So klein der Italiener ist, so fein sind seine Speisen und so professionell der Service. Bei gerade mal 16 Plätzen ist eine Reservierung Pflicht. Dafür erlebt man einen tollen Abend bei angenehm lockerer Atmosphäre und sehr leckeren Gerichten mit hoher Qualität zu fairen Preisen. Das Highlight ist weniger die einzige Unisex-Toilette als der Weg dorthin quasi durch die Küche. So viel Transparenz ist beruhigend und faszinierend zugleich. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Best pasta and tiramisu in Berlin, I can’t get tired of Masteca e Tasi. Handmade pasta and always changing menu, making really tasty dishes with fresh ingredients. I’ll always go back to the carbonara, if available. Coffee is, of course, on point. Desserts are incredible, the tiramisu is to die for. The place is quite small, but very cozy. Service is lovely and attentive, always with a smile. Prices are fair.
