Ristorante Ciao Ana in Hamburg

Where do I begin... Simply great. We were in Hamburg over the weekend, and since the kids wanted pasta, we found you while strolling around the Portuguese Quarter. After a short three-minute wait, we got a spot outside for five people. I should mention that it was Saturday night, we didn't have a reservation, and the restaurant was completely full. So we sat down and ordered a drink. The entire staff was friendly and quick. The food came quickly, was hot, and very, very tasty. The pizza was huge, and the pasta portion (spaghetti Napoli & Bolognese, tagliatelle with beef and chanterelle mushrooms) was also very generous. It started to rain briefly, but that wasn't a problem for the blinds, as we stayed dry. On Sunday, we were back in the area and thought we'd go there again. It wasn't as busy as the day before, which was probably due to the time of day. And on the second day, everyone was super friendly, attentive, and very prompt. This time, we treated ourselves to appetizers (pizza bread, WARNING: huge and addictive, and bruschetta), which were fantastic. If I lived in Hamburg, I'd definitely go there once a week. Kudos to the whole team, keep up the good work :) PS: I don't have any photos, I was too distracted by the food :)

One of the best Italian restaurants I know! We went there twice during our four-day trip. The waiters recognized us immediately and greeted us warmly. The service and atmosphere are impressive. My absolute favorite Italian restaurant in the Portuguese Quarter for many years! Today, the ravioli in lobster sauce really blew me away—the best thing I've had in a long time! Kudos to the chef! Special thanks to the female waitress, fantastic service!!!

We went to dinner with the family for my birthday. The staff was very attentive and sang me a song and treated me to a free aperitif. I was absolutely delighted. Thank you so much again to the restaurant.

Not an Italian to recommend!! The staff is very unfriendly and you have to be careful when paying, otherwise the previous guest who was sitting at the same table will charge you the bill.

We spontaneously strolled through the Portuguese Quarter and were more in the mood for something Italian. We were assigned a place relatively quickly. The waitresses were lively, friendly, authentic, the food came quickly and was very tasty. We had a great time and recommend it without hesitation :)

We were looking for a restaurant for dinner and found it here. Despite the restaurant being very full, we didn't have to wait long and got a table quickly. After ordering, we didn't have to wait long until the drinks and ultimately the food arrived. The staff is super nice and funny. If you don't expect an ultra luxury ambience, you won't be disappointed here. 5/5 Gladly again

We happened to be at Ciao Ana and that was a stroke of luck. The starter was white bread with garlic dip. Delicious and large pizzas. Great service and the best Peroni on tap. :-)

Without a reservation, just a waiting time. The pizza was very tasty. Only the drink prices of 3.60 EUR for 0.2 soft drink are very exaggerated.

One of my worst dining experiences. We were four people, ordered four drinks and three large pizzas. But apparently, sharing is a crime here, because the head waitress threw a fit and demanded an extra 3€. Absolute joke. Spend your money somewhere that actually values customers, not chairs.

We were totally thrilled! Despite the restaurant being full, the staff was attentive and polite. The pizza is huge and worth the money. The salad with fresh tuna and not canned tuna was also convincing. The drinks are fairly priced. The outside area has sun all day, a lovely place. Sitting people down at a table of 6 is completely fine and sometimes very communicative. Ciao Ana is highly recommended, Bella Italia in the Portuguese Quarter.

Opening hours here seem to be set spontaneously: the website says 11:30 a.m., Google says 1 p.m. If you're then turned away with a wedding party despite having a reservation with the explanation "We don't open until 2 p.m.", something is clearly wrong. What a pity.

We accidentally found this really great Italian restaurant in the Portuguese Quarter. The pizzas, which felt the size of a wagon wheel, were excellent. Wafer-thin dough, fresh ingredients and the food was there less than 15 minutes after ordering. We'll definitely be back!

So I reserved a table at lunchtime, received a reservation confirmation and asked again by phone whether it had worked. Yes, everything worked out until later, said the young lady on the phone… at the door of the restaurant did you make a reservation? Yes! If there's nothing, you can't let it in. Hello? It's still okay... and then in a very rude way, you just close the door and say goodbye. Cheeky, unfriendly and unreliable! Never again !!!!

Great food, great ambience, great service. We received a very friendly welcome and spontaneously got a table for two, which made us very happy since it was a Saturday evening. The waitress was always nearby and very attentive. We had two pizzas and one tiramisu. The pizza was very tasty and the tiramisu was heavenly.

The restaurant impresses with excellent food, a cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Desmond in particular has everything under control and takes care of every detail. Even though we didn't have a reservation, he quickly found a solution and after a short wait we had a great seat. His commitment, friendliness and professionalism are truly impressive. Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful Italian restaurant! We received a warm welcome and were given a classic Italian decorated table for two. The order was taken very quickly and courteously. The short and very appropriate waiting time was bridged with fresh bread and very tasty herb butter. The pizza is literally huge and worth every euro. It tasted fresh, delicious and was simply great. We would love to come back and look forward to trying the pasta on our next visit.

We were there on New Year's Eve, and unfortunately it didn't seem as hospitable as usual, we had booked a table for 8:30 p.m., and were told we had to go out again at 9:30 p.m., and we weren't prepared for that..... the excellent food was hastily eaten so there was not the normal enjoyment of coming here...unfortunately

I absolutely don't understand all the good reviews. First the positive: Pizza tastes really good Negative: Service is a complete disaster. Every meal we ordered was brought at a different time so we couldn't eat together. The last meal just arrived where we were all finished. It took the waiters 20 minutes to please bring parmesan to the pasta, which tasted of absolutely nothing except a light, greasy sauce. The waitress forgot it. The colleague with the bleached hair that I spoke to completely ignored it. It wasn't until the third time that another waiter brought us the Parmesan. The other person simply turned around and acted as if he knew nothing about it. Absolutely wrong. The store wasn't even full. The end of the song. Cold pasta with parmesan. Very tasty for €20. As I said, apart from the pizzas, we would not recommend any food for groups of more than four due to the service and the lack of timely delivery. Ok for two people for a pizza

I ate there for the first time with my wife and son (4 years old) and I have to say this nice little restaurant won me over as a customer. The pizzas are fantastic and as a small greeting from the kitchen there is homemade bread with homemade dip. The restaurant: Is comfortably furnished, a small but fine menu. The service: It's excellent, you get the menu right away and you're asked what you'd like to drink. Food: The pizzas are homemade and huge so you'll fill up. (See image) My conclusion: This small but nice pizza shop is a real insider tip and is located in the Portuguese Quarter.

- recommended - We were greeted very politely and were given some baguette/bread with a very tasty garlic dip. The size of the pizza really surprised us. We can highly recommend both the pizza with salmon and Pizza Mafia. If you are looking for a solid Italian restaurant, you will find it here.

I have to say upfront that some of the food was very good. So the pizza was great. To be honest, the carpaccio was a bit bland. It's sad that the waitress was immediately annoyed when it came to celiac disease. It is a serious illness that is easy to adapt to. But hardly anyone is willing to inform themselves.

Very attentive service, fast, friendly, the quality of the food was excellent. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine and they play old Italian hits from Eros Ramazzotti and Co. We had a great evening and felt comfortable.

We spontaneously looked for a place and found it here, very nice and friendly staff. We ate the prawns as a starter. Pizza buratta and ravioli with lobster as the main course, the pizza was very large but tasty, you should consider it if you want a starter or dessert. Tiramisu was also a large portion but very tasty.

We have reserved for 33 people and I would recommend a reservation, no matter how many people. The restaurant was packed to capacity. We had a very nice evening and a great meal. I have attached the pictures. You should be very hungry, the portions are very large. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. We'd love to come back. Full 5 stars 🌟

Super great restaurant. The food is always delicious every time. The atmosphere in the store is always cheerful and the waiters are in a good mood. Roberto and Desmond in particular are open-minded and funny. The restaurant always seduces me with its charm. Eat better than mom's :) Highly recommended.

Good Italian in the Portuguese Quarter. We tried pizzas and pasta dishes. The pizzas were okay but nothing special. The pasta dishes, on the other hand, were masterpieces and definitely worth a visit for pasta lovers. The atmosphere is very dark. Unfortunately, you have to say that there are a lot of tables in a rather small space, which means that the noise level is very high. The service was extremely fast, but not very attentive, which was most likely due to the large number of guests that had to be served. Once the drinks came before we even finished ordering. All in all a good restaurant, but not one where you absolutely have to go.

Das Essen war handwerklich in Ordnung. Stutzig hat uns gemacht, dass die Pasta innerhalb von 5 Minuten serviert wurde. Kann nur mit vor kochen funktionieren oder mit anderen Tricks. Die Spaghetti Carbonara waren allerdings pikant bis scharf. Was nicht schön war, dass man bei den einzelnen Gerichten nichts dazu bekommen konnte und auch nichts weggelassen werden konnte. Das weist leider ebenfalls auf vorgekocht Zutaten hin. Oder noch schlimmer Convenience Produkte. Deswegen auch ein Stern Abzug. Dass unser Tisch als Ablage für die Speisekarten genutzt wurde, wäre okay, wenn die nicht mit vollster Coolness aufeinander gepfeffert worden wären.

Italian restaurant in the Portuguese Quarter of Hamburg. Went to the restaurant as a group and pre-ordered. Ambience quite nice. Overall, the food didn't live up to expectations. I had the tuna steak. This was "fried to death" and completely cooked through. Furthermore, it was buried under a red pepper steak sauce. I think it was frozen goods. Not so great for Hamburg when the fish market is around the corner. My neighbor had a pizza and it was soaked in tomato sauce so that the dough was completely soaked. When it came to billing, the waitress had considerable problems calculating all the bills. Basically there is a need for some training among the waiters.

The food is highly recommended, the portions are huge! It has a good selection of dishes, there is something for everyone. The sauces for the pasta are very tasty.

Einer der wenigen Italiener im Portugiesenviertel. Wir haben bisher immer Pasta oder Pizza hier gegessen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Der Service ist sehr schnell und freundlich. Bei schönen Wetter kann man sehr schön vor dem Laden sitzen.

Pedí una pizza de tartufo (trufa) había 3 contadas el resto todo era rúcula, toda la pizza con 3 trocitos pequeños de trufa un poquito de parmesano y todo completamente inundado de rúcula, desde luego toman el pelo a los turistas , nunca más volveré a este restaurante Ciao Anna

The pizza tastes very good. Unfortunately, there was a fingernail or something like that in my dessert. Therefore I wouldn't go there again.

Zuerst das Positive: Das Personal ist sehr nett und das Essen haben wir sehr schnell bekommen (fast schon zu schnell). Ich hatte eine Penne Tonno, von der ich nur abraten kann. Ein völlig versalzener Brei. Widerlich, nicht zum Essen. Da ich sehr großen Hunger hatte, habe ich maximal die Hälfte davon widerwillig gegessen, den Rest habe ich zurück gehen lassen. Habe noch nie so eine schlechte Penne Tonno gegessen. Geschmacklich ein Totalausfall. Hatte wirklich das Gefühl, es handelt sich um Convenience Food. Frisch zubereitet schmeckt anders.

There were two of us here with strollers. The staff wasn't very friendly or helpful and wanted to sit us in the blazing sun with our baby at 30 degrees. The staff was also very annoyed by the stroller. The bread beforehand was very tasty. The two main courses were really good in terms of quantity, but there was a certain “something” missing in terms of taste. It could have been seasoned more, unfortunately the salt and pepper didn't cut it out. But it was very expensive (over €20 per dish) and my coke was already taken away even though there was still something in it and we were still sitting there. Unfortunately, after eating we both felt very nauseous and nauseous. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

Cozy tent. Service did not speak German/English very well and we had to wait a long time for dessert. But it was worth the wait. The tiramisu was very tasty. The pizzas too!

Helt okej pizzor. Personalen kommer och fyller på olivolja mitt under lunchen när den inte ens är halvtom. Serveringspersonalen stog också väldigt nära och man kände sig övervakad.

Delicious. Price performance totally okay. For my taste the portion could have been larger (homemade ravioli), but the taste was great. We had, among other things, also pizza and spaghetti carbonara. All in all highly recommended.
