My review of the dish at Riehler Hof I ordered this dish today at Riehler Hof and I'm truly impressed. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and the shrimp were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The combination with the crispy potato wedges, vegetables, and light herb sauce was simply superb. The dish is as visually appealing as it is delicious – beautifully presented and of very high quality. I am absolutely delighted and highly recommend both this dish and Riehler Hof.

It's under new ownership now, but you can still eat very well and affordably. The menu has something for everyone. The service is very friendly, and we even received a complimentary welcome drink and dessert. You won't find that anywhere else. We'll definitely be back.

Correction: The Riehler Hof has unfortunately been permanently closed. But the original team reopened in Nippes in July 2025. Super delicious, classic inn cuisine prepared by the head chef alone, and therefore always of the highest quality! Reservations are often required. We also like to take the food home, where it still tastes great.

Hello, I think it's a shame that the Riehler Hof is still closed. You could always eat well there. I went there often with my girlfriend. I hope that you will find a new chef soon.

It was once our favorite restaurant, what has it become? What a shame. We got a table without a reservation, which was the only positive thing tonight. Drinks... we had to order at the bar, no table service. We ordered, oh, and then someone came with a menu. The food was excellent, but the service was a flop. This lovely restaurant deserves better. The best time with Marina is sadly over. We'll now look for somewhere else with more competence and quality. So sad.

I was in this restaurant recently and was really impressed. The food was really tasty, especially the pljeskavica with sheep's cheese, which tasted really good. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The wine recommendation was also great. Overall, a really pleasant evening. I can only recommend it!

The location was once the best restaurant in the neighborhood. Anyone who liked Croatian/German food was well served here. In the literal sense. The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful. Unfortunately, the owners have changed and not much has worked since then. Where you could have eaten something at lunchtime, the kitchen is now simply closed. You could also get something to eat at 5:00 p.m. in the evening; there are no longer fixed kitchen times. There are currently 15 guests sitting on the terrace - no one has anything to drink(!). Offering me a table seemed like rocket science. The good man pored over the reservation book for what felt like 10 minutes without any result. I won't come back. The second star is pure nostalgia.

Total disaster. You can tell that everyone is overwhelmed. We had to wait a long time for the food and when it came we had it returned straight away because it tasted absolutely disgusting, nothing was fresh and totally tasteless. When we asked for parmesan before the food came we got a bowl when we looked in it was full of mold. Still, they charged full price for everything. We're never coming back

Ich bin vom Riehler Hof was ganz anderes gewohnt. Seit die neuen Besitzer da sind ist das Essen so schlecht geworden, dass sogar Parmesankäse mit Schimmels Es ist absolut nicht mehr zu empfehlen, das Restaurant gehört geschlossen Mich haben ja schon viele Gäste vorher gewarnt aber ich wollte selber wissen und bin so enttäuscht. Der Koch, der vorher da war, war einfach nur perfekt und jetzt eine absolute Katastrophe. Eine Sache fürs Gesundheitsamt Mehr möchte ich dazu nicht mehr schreiben

Waren heute nach langer Zeit mal wieder hier,aber für uns enttäuschend.Vorsuppe gut,aber der Mixed Grillteller,die Fritten kalt.Das Fleisch trocken.Bandnudeln mit Lachs,die Nudeln viel zu hart.Soße kein Pepp.

After a visit to Cologne, we stopped by for dinner at short notice. Even without a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and served nicely with the information that the table was reserved from a certain time onwards. Price, performance very reasonable, food (good quality meat) really sufficient. We would like to thank you for the nice service and the good food. To our surprise, there was a degistif at the end. Keep it up 😄 We look forward to next time.

The innkeeper has only recently started operating, and it looks like the people are not professionals. The staff and the host were very friendly. The cordon bleue was ok, but the fries were relatively dry. The salad is forgettable, served with a mushy ready-made sauce. The portions are generally large :) The offering is very large, but the usefulness can be debated.

To date, not even an answer.....why it was closed on Easter Saturday.....at 7 p.m. despite a reservation. ..... I therefore only give service one star. But I can't rate the food and ambience.

Unfortunately I have to award a point... Reserved a week ago, phone number and name provided in the phone call with the waitress, time of day was offered => reserved for 7 p.m.. get there: Closed!!! . No idea what's going on and why it's closed... great... after a 250 km journey.

Wir kamen hungrig und müde und uns wurde direkt ohne Reservierung ein Tisch für 4 Personen angeboten. Der Service war sehr angenehm und freundlich. Das Essen kam zügig und war ganz besonders lecker: das Gemüse knackig angebraten, gut gewürzt, Fleisch genauso lecker, selbst die Kartoffel mit Quark kam mit Gemüse. Die Preise waren für heutige Verhältnisse sehr fair. Es war ein sehr erfreuliches kulinarisches Ereignis, zumal es ganz unverhofft kam. 5 🌟

Wir mussten fast 1,5 Std auf unser Essen warten, die Preise sind relativ günstig, gewürzt wird das Essen eher sparsam, nachwürzen war notwendig. Aufgefallen ist leider, daß hinter dem Tresen 2 Personen mit dem Handy und sich selber beschäftigt waren anstatt der Bedienung zu helfen. Das Lokal hat keinen mediterranen Charm, es ist eher "kühl".

Hier gibt es die größten Portionen ever. Und das beste, es schmeckt auch super lecker. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist Top.

Das ist ein urige Kneipe wie man sie von früher kennt. Das Essen ist klasse, eine große Karte mit 4 Themen Bereichen. Es war sehr voll, so das die Servicekraft viel zu tun hatte.

Wir haben nach einem Zoobesuch spontan den Riehler Hof besucht. Wir waren überrascht wieviele Gäste zur Mittagszeit das Lokal besuchen. Wir haben das Tagesmenue mit Fisch gewählt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und gut portioniert. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mettwurst mit Grünkohl und Kartoffeln untereinander zu Mittag. Sehr lecker.

Vorstadtgasthof mit kroatisch angehauchten Küche. Essen ganz ok. Durch die Fertigsoße war mein Gericht etwas "schwer". Die Bedienung ist überaus freundlich, das Ambiente gut bürgerlichen.

Essen ist gut, günstig, reichhaltig und lecker 😋 Der Gastraum ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Klassische Kneipe aus den 80er. Klimaanlage war zwar vorhanden blieb aber zu unseren Besuch ausgeschaltet. Nette Freundliche Bedienung die mit ihrem Sohn versucht hatte den Laden zu schmeißen. 1 Person für Innen und aussen Gastronomie hatt dan für lange Wartezeiten geführt. Nebenbei ist mir aufgefallen das Leute die nach uns kammen und Stammkunden zu sein schienen vor uns bedient wurden. Scheint gängige Praxis dort zu sein das Essen vorher telefonisch zu bestellen um langes Warten zu vermeiden 👀

Der Gemischte Grillteller ist auf jeden Fall eine ordentliche Portion.

Ich habe ein paar mal an der Theke mittags was gegessen und getrunken. Ich war sehr zufrieden mit der Qualität / Menge / Preis. Zwiebelsuppe ist sehr lecker! Kroatische Gerichte sind sehr gut und Djuwec Reis und Ajvar sind Top. Wenn ich in Köln auf dem Wohnmobilplatz bin gehe ich gerne wieder dahin. Bedienung und Wartezeit ist auch völlig OK. Gaststätte ist immer voll………nicht ohne Grund

Ich war erstaunt über den relativ niedrigen Preis für meinen Salatteller mit Garnelen. Es dauerte sehr lange bis ich ihn bekam. Dann wusste ich warum. Er sah aus wie eine Vorspeise. Zwei Scheiben Brot links und rechts auf dem länglichen Teller verkleinerter die Fläche für den Salat noch. Das Joghurt-Dressing war sehr lecker und von der Menge her ausreichend. Wer wollte, konnte nach dem Essen noch eine kostenlose Spirituose bekommen.

Dem Preis entsprechend sehr gutes Essen. Reichlich und Schmackhaft. Schnitzel und Steaks von guter Qualität. Kölsch 1.60€ sehr fairer Preis. Einfaches, ehrliches Lokal mitten im Veedel. Macht weiter so.

An unserem ersten Tag in Köln wird der Suche nach essbaren am Ostersonntag hier gelandet. Der Gastraum war voll oder reserviert. Dennoch hat man uns zu vier noch unter gebracht. Der Service war sehr herzlich und aufmerksam. Zu Essen bekommt man hier gute bürgerliche Küche zu guten Preisen. Hatte ein Steak das auf dem Punkt so war wie ich es liebe. Schade das hier die restlichen Tage unseres Kurztrips (verdient) geschlossen war, sonst wären wir nochmal vorbei gekommen. Wir kommen wieder.

Ich bin echt sauer. Wir haben uns vor Wochen per Email einen Tisch bestellt, damit wir an unserem Köln-Wochenende vorbereitet sind und nicht mit zwei Kindern vor Ort ein Restaurant suchen müssen. Als wir am Samstagabend dort ankommen, hängt ein Schild in der Tür "vorübergehend geschlossen". Grundsätzlich habe ich für Krankheit Verständnis. Aber dann muss ich bitte die Reservierungen, die schon vorliegen, ordentlich absagen! Dann hätten wir die Chance gehabt, uns anderweitig zu kümmern. So standen wir dort ohne Abendessen und ringsherum hatte kein Lokal mehr einen Tisch frei... Samstagabend eben... nicht umsonst hatte ich mich vorher gekümmert!! Echt schade!!

Freundliche Bedienung Essen reichlich lecker und günstig

Der Riehler Hof wird seit 2016 von einer sehr netten Wirtin (Marina) und ihrem Ehemann (sangesfreudiger und guter Koch) bewirtschaftet. Die zahlreichen Gerichte sind durchweg sehr lecker, frisch, gut portioniert und preisgünstig. Letzteres trifft auch auf die Getränke zu (Kölsch 1,50€) . Es gibt auch fleischlose, vegane Gerichte und leckere Desserts. Das Restaurant in Nähe des Kölner Zoos ist gepflegt, sauber, behindertenfreundlich und mit einer überdachten Außengastronomie ausgestattet. Parken muss man straßenseitig. Reservieren macht Sinn, da es sich im Viertel herumgesprochen hat, wie gut hier die Küche ist. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hier einfach unerreicht. Take away gibt es auch.

Alle in dem Lokal sind sehr freundlich, was schon mal das wichtigste ist. Das Essen ist lecker und die Auswahl ziemlich groß. Ich war bisher 2 mal in dem Lokal. Beim ersten Besuch warteten wir 1,5 Std auf unser Essen. Beim zweiten Besuch warteten wir 45 Min bis jemand unsere Essensbestellung aufnahm. Daran könnte noch gearbeitet werden. Getränke kamen im Vergleich allereings relativ zügig.
