Restaurant "Zwölfender" in Wernigerode

We were guests at the holiday park for a week and had half board. Everything was right here. Great staff and great food. Breakfast is completely sufficient, something for everyone. There's still real juice here and not concentrate. The map is also completely sufficient, not too big, not too small. The food always tasted good. Extra requests were easily addressed. Service absolute 1.

Went there twice in the evening and three times for breakfast over the long weekend. We were super satisfied. Very nice service and everything we were allowed to eat was very tasty. Would like to come back, but not stay in the holiday apartments.

Just don't. Reserved weeks in advance. My husband's birthday. Were a little early and had to wait, despite there being free tables, perhaps because of our small dog. We were given a bad, tiny table and, because of the cramped conditions, I had a guest's backside in front of me at times. We were promised a good table and had the feeling of sitting in a chip shop. Terrible. That's probably why the store is barely mentioned. Never again. In really good and significantly more expensive restaurants, we always got a good table, even with a dog 🐕

The “Zwölfender” is a great opportunity to have a good meal and get to know a very nice team. The food, as the name suggests, is regional and includes game in various variations. But there are also delicious salads and seasonal menus. In my case it was autumn theme and so I can only recommend the pumpkin soup in combination with the accompanying game dish. The service is also excellent. Very friendly but not intrusive. Always good advice if you need tips for excursions or hikes. So overall I can highly recommend it and once you've taken a look here, you'll know why. We'll definitely be back.

I spent a long weekend here for my birthday. It was a damn good stay, to the complete satisfaction of my guests. I will decide to stay here again at any time. Spent a cozy evening in a great atmosphere. Reserved online and dogs are allowed. Delicious German cuisine and attentive service staff.

We were on vacation for 7 days/September in the adjacent hotel. We visited this restaurant every day in the form of half board. Absolutely top class..Food was delicious..Big thanks to the kitchen!!! Service is exactly the same... it's absolutely perfect... you notice the hospitality every day... even when you're stressed... we were served in the evening by the waiter Luca's... he gave us the evenings with his attention... friendliness... humor. .refined!!!! The entire atmosphere among the colleagues is great...that's noticeable every day...keep it up...!!!

Very tasty game, super fried (pink), the chef came and asked how the wild boar was as it had just come in fresh today and from start to finish there was a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. A good decision to come here. An all-round great experience at fair prices.

We visited the restaurant as a couple with our dog, without prior reservation. We received a friendly welcome and the service staff, especially the waiter, were very attentive and courteous. The drinks were served quickly and the food was excellent. The home-made food was flawless and prepared to perfection. In summary, this restaurant can be recommended without reservation.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is really very cozy and invites you to linger. The food is consistently delicious and highly recommended. The employees are also very friendly. Keep it up!

It was okay. It was the epitome of “okay.” Solid, just right after a hard day, friendly, prompt service, food good but not outstanding. You can do it, but there are better offers in the region.

At first we were skeptical because it sounded like “the dining room of a holiday resort”. We were pleasantly surprised. Very quaint and cozy and a very pleasant atmosphere even when it's busy. Service is well trained and super friendly and quick. The quality and quantity of the food matched the price - it was really tasty and filling. Definitely worth it!

We had breakfast and dinner there. Breakfast quite ok. Something for every taste. 2 types of rolls. Coffee not good. We really enjoyed dinner. All schnitzel dishes with salad. Price ok. Radler was warm. Got a new cool one. Very nice atmosphere inside and outside.

The food is simply amazing, the Brockenblick schnitzel is a generous portion, but I have never had such a good schnitzel before. The Wilde Brockenblick grill plate is extremely tasty. Pasta with tomato sauce as well. The solyanka also tastes absolutely delicious. The service we had on both days was super nice and cool (kind regards;)). Stay as you are! We are happy to recommend you and will definitely come by again.

Super nicely located restaurant. The service was top. Unfortunately it was just a little difficult to find as it is on the lower floor of a holiday complex. Price/performance was reasonable and the quality of the food was A1. ... But with the cheese spaetzle there can be a few grams more on the plate :)

Wonderful evening in the "Zwölfender" Schierke with very tasty game cooked to perfection. The starters of pickled salmon and solyanka were also highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

We spontaneously stopped by Zwölfender and were warmly welcomed by the staff and shown to a table. The ambience is very nice with attention to detail. The staff looked after us very well without being intrusive. The orders placed were processed surprisingly quickly. I started with a delicious solyanka as a starter soup. But I regretted it when I had the Brockenblickschnitzel as the main course. The portion was so generous that I had to struggle a lot. I also have to say that it was one of the best schnitzels I've eaten so far. All in all, it was a very successful stay, with a bill at the end that did justice to the food. I will definitely come back.

We have breakfast here when we live in the appartement brockenblick and it is very tasty. We've also eaten here before. The food could be cheaper as a hotel guest.

For dessert I treated myself to a heavenly chocolate cake (something like that is always good!), which was simply irresistible with its creamy consistency. Unfortunately, the website and reality sometimes differ. We went to eat here with great anticipation. Nice service, but the food was disappointing in terms of price/performance ratio. Convenience sends its regards and is also carelessly prepared. At a reasonable price everything would have been acceptable, but this visit to the restaurant leaves a bad aftertaste.

Delicious food in a rustic atmosphere. We had dinner with 9 people and everyone got their food at the same time. Perfectly coordinated drinks provided. A successful evening! It was a bit too warm for me in the restaurant but in summer temperatures that can't always be avoided 😄 We all had fun, we really enjoyed it, we'd love to come back!

A bit hidden, but highly recommended. We had reserved a table based on previous reviews. Our dog was also allowed to come with us, so we got a quiet place. We decided on schnitzel, which were really tasty. Very large, crispy and freshly prepared.

You wouldn't expect such a rustic place from the outside. Great service and delicious food. I think the prices are quite moderate.

Top! Recommendation! We were dirty and sweaty, not long before closing time, with a dog and a small child. The service was very, very friendly, quick and accommodating. The food was very tasty and the portions were huge! Packing it up and taking it with you was no problem at all. There's play equipment for children outside, ours disappeared straight away. Schnitzel with mushrooms, rice pudding and cheese spaetzle recommended! Special requests were no problem.

We came here on a recommendation from the town (Schierker Waldperle). We cannot understand the good reviews here. Even though we had a reservation, the reception was rather cool, we stood in the entrance and it took a while until one of the 3 employees took care of us. Unfortunately, we discovered that the windows were completely dirty; it had been a while since they were last cleaned. We ordered deer roulade with chanterelles, red cabbage and croquettes (€29). Unfortunately, the roulades were tough and would have needed at least 30 minutes longer on the stove, the sauce was meaningless, the red cabbage was so thick with starch that apart from a basic sourness there was no discernible taste, and the cabbage was overcooked. The espresso afterwards was a small coffee - never an espresso.

Nice ambience, but food just so-so. The Wiener Schnitzel was finger-high and the fried potatoes were lightly seasoned and barely fried. Shame about the money!

Absolutely thrilled. The restaurant is a bit hidden and can be reached by going down a few stairs. The reception and service were great. Here you can relax. The entire atmosphere has something romantically enchanting and the bar is also lovingly designed. An absolute eye-catcher. Dogs are allowed. It is advisable to call and announce in advance. Then you have a good chance of finding a quiet place for your fluffy companion. When it comes to the food you can speak of very good cuisine. Top preparation of classics too. A very pretty arrangement makes the viewer happy. The well-rounded range of drinks with the regional liqueur (which is also recommended) is a great way to spend the evening. Finally, the only thing left for me to recommend to everyone is a reservation.

Wir waren Mitte November 2023 hier; ein echter Geheimtipp in dieser Zeit. Eine tolle Bedienung, sehr leckeres Wild, und eine feine Auswahl an Spirituosen. Das Restaurent erinnert sehr authentisch an eine Skihütte.

Wir konnten relativ spontan noch einen Tisch buchen und waren sehr begeistert vom Essen und von der Ambiente. Sehr rustikal, aber wahnsinnig gemütlich. Das Essen war so gut, dass wir für den Folgetag gleich nochmal einen Tisch bestellt hatten. Auch da passte einfach alles. Kann man nur empfehlen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hingehen

Unser Besuch im "Zwölfender" begann mit einem kleinen Missgeschick hinsichtlich unserer Reservierungszeit. Obwohl wir sicher waren, für 18:30 Uhr reserviert zu haben, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass unsere Reservierung für 18 Uhr vorgesehen war und nun alles belegt sei. Solche Fehler können natürlich immer mal vorkommen, aber die Situation wurde gut gehandhabt und wir wurden gebeten, zwei Stunden später wiederzukommen. Da wir nur einen kurzen Fußweg von 10 Minuten entfernt wohnen, war dies für uns akzeptabel. Das Restaurant selbst bietet ein uriges und mittelklassiges Ambiente - nicht luxuriös, aber auch nicht heruntergekommen. Es ist genau das Richtige für einen gemütlichen Abend. Geschmacklich waren die Hauptspeisen durchweg positiv, besonders das Schnitzel hat überzeugt. Mein Hähnchengericht war lecker, aber nicht herausragend. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt wäre die Menge an Sauce und Dressing, die bei unseren Gerichten etwas spärlich ausfiel. Trotz des anfänglichen Missverständnisses mit der Reservierung war das Personal stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt bietet das "Zwölfender" eine gute Gastronomieerfahrung, die ich nicht missen möchte, auch wenn es nicht unbedingt mein tägliches Ziel wäre.

Gutes Essen, aufmerksamer Service, Ambiente mit gewissem Charme. Wir haben 1 x zu Abend gegessen, wären auch gerne wiedergekommen, hatten aber keine Zeit mehr. Die Stühle im Innenbereich sind leider etwas unbequem. Den Eingang zum Restaurant selber muß man suchen u die Parkplätze schwächeln doch auch ganz schön. Gesamtfazit: einen Besuch wert.

Der Service läßt nicht zu wünschen übrig! Am 01.09.23 mit einer kleinen Gruppe angemeldet, hervorragend gegessen und die Bedienung war Spitze! Schnell, zuvorkommend und hat jeden Spaß mitgemacht. Da hat man gemerkt, daß jemand seinen Beruf als Berufung versteht. Da wir spontan beschlossen, am nächsten Tag wieder zukommen (Samstag Abend!) wurde dieser Wunsch auch erfüllt, mehr noch es wurde uns ein sehr ansprechend gedeckter Tisch geboten (nachdem die Bedienung bei der Bezahlung mitbekommen hatte, daß es einen Anlaß gegeben hatte). Ich kann nur 5 Sterne in jedem Fall vergeben, wir sind bestimmt beim nächsten Harzbesuch wieder da!

Leider haben wir uns von den guten Rezensionen und dem professionellen Internetauftritt dieser Lokalität ein bisschen in die Irre führen lassen. Wir hatten reserviert, uns dann aber leider für einen Platz draußen entschieden. Der Rotwein war deutlich zu warm und die Hirschroulade lau. Als wir den Kellner Feedback geben wollten kam er uns zuvor und meinte :"War lau, ne?" und verschwand... Das ließ uns vermuten, dass wir nicht die ersten waren, die dieses Feedback gegeben haben. Auch die Zahlung mit einer handelsüblichen Visa oder Mastercard war leider nicht möglich. Schade.
