Great restaurant with a great location. The landlord was very nice and the food was delicious. We would come back at any time.

Delicious food and cozy atmosphere

Unfortunately, I didn't receive any help when I wanted to go to the restaurant in my wheelchair. Both the service employee and the waiter just watched as my companion pushed the wheelchair over the edge. The salad was served rather blandly, with a dollop of ready-made salad dressing (French dressing). The salmon 28€ was really inedible, too dry. Instead of boiled potatoes I chose fried potatoes, then please pay 2.50€ more for what?? Only cash payment possible. I didn't feel welcome here.

The ambience right on the water is unbeatable! The food is home-style and average. An additional note that all dishes with crabs cost an additional €2.50 is basically ok. But the quantity is very manageable. The price overall is a bit too high but the location location location also counts here.

MEGA! Great ambience. Super friendly staff. Short waiting time. Food = bomb. Great craftsmanship. Therefore the prices are justified. We had plaice fillet with crabs and the medallions with mushroom ragout and croquettes. Each with salad. We'll definitely be back!!

Nice setting overlooking the river. Positive service but no habit of having foreigners, no menu in English but the very kind waitress tried in every way to make herself understood in English. A bit grumpy host... Typical local food, cooked quite well. We're not quite there on the payment where we discover that you only pay cash... at a restaurant?! Ah yes... There was a sign... written in German... I had to go into town to withdraw money from a bank... In terms of hospitality we need to improve.

Unfortunately, the six of us weren't even served here. We were ignored by the employees for 20 minutes. It's a shame because the atmosphere was very, very nice. It's a shame if you're served based on what you look like.

Reservation by telephone was no problem. Service was super friendly, food came quickly. However, it was quite plain, nothing out of the ordinary, not very seasoned. The craftsmanship is quite okay and you will definitely be full! In my opinion, the prices are a bit too high, although I have a hard time estimating how expensive everything is on average in the area. All together okay, you can go out to eat. The view when you sit outside is definitely worth seeing

It's the year 2024 - please offer card payment. Unfortunately, we were only informed of this when paying and had to go to the nearest ATM in town to get cash. Food was ok but relatively expensive. Location is great.

All in all I can only report positive things. We were there this evening with 6 people and our dog, the food was fantastic, the service was super friendly and the price-performance ratio was perfect. Our dog received a friendly welcome, tables were put together for us and we felt very comfortable. We'd love to come back!

Even though we had reservations and arrived on time, we were seated at a free table in the middle of the restaurant. When we pointed out that we had made a reservation and that other reserved tables in a better position were not yet occupied, there was no response whatsoever. The first thing that came out of the menu was a leaflet that said that dishes with crabs were 2.50 euros more expensive. This is due to the high price of crabs. Well, that must be a good portion of crabs, I thought. But when plaice with crabs and fried potatoes was served, I asked myself where the crabs were. In other restaurants, this manageable number of crabs is considered a garnish at most. The plaice was well fried, others can do that too. The fried potatoes were standard and not particularly noteworthy. The crabs were served in such a small quantity that a premium doesn't seem justified. However, this appeared on the invoice. The bill of over 30.00 EURO per person for the meal alone is disproportionate to the service provided. We will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Yesterday we had dinner here with 10 people. We decided to sit outside in the nice weather. Although the table inside was reserved, it was no problem getting tables on the terrace. We were welcomed very nicely. Everything is very warm and familiar here. The drinks came quickly. The food was very lovingly prepared, the portions were unexpectedly large and the price-performance ratio in general was really impressive. We weren't there for the first time and definitely not the last. Big praise to all employees and the boss.

We didn't even come to eat. We were brushed off at the entrance because we had a dog with us. Even at the entrance Terrace (the restaurant was empty as well as the terrace). Statement from the staff it has already rained 20 times today. Tip to all dog owners not to go there, not even on the terrace. We then went to the harbor and had an excellent meal in a renowned restaurant. Our dog was even welcome in the guest room.

The schnitzel is flattened until it no longer works. Fries tasted like old fat. Ok, the prices are up everywhere but almost 20 euros for a Jägerschnitzel, although the sauce was still very thin and watery and didn't taste good. So I can't recommend this store. It's best not to stop at all. And then only cash payment possible! Conclusion ! Once and never again !!

We ate here today for our wedding anniversary and it was delicious. The lamb is naturally tender, beans with bacon and potatoes...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Plus a cold Hefeweizen - perfect. The boss and the wife? Colleague? , both very friendly and attentive. If we're in the area again, we'd love to come by again! Of course again with a dog!

Very nice service, very nice atmosphere, view of the Eider, the food was very good, side salad (everything fresh: grated carrots and red cabbage, iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, rocket), we had the captain's plate (lots of fish and crabs) and chicken breast fillet ( Meat was still nice and juicy and still nicely fried) eaten on leaf spinach with baked potatoes. Conclusion: highly recommended, we will be back

The atmosphere is very pleasant, open and inviting! The staff, as well as the manager of the house, were very friendly and helpful right from the start. The food was very well prepared and excellent. Even when we asked for dessert, the boss himself offered us three to choose from. We each chose one. Each dessert was very tasty. Price/performance ratio is appropriate. Fits! There is also a rear guest room, which is also very tastefully, attractively furnished and beautifully decorated! We are very enthusiastic about the house. Get a seat without booking in advance. The food was delicious, the waitresses were friendly and accommodating. Despite a bumpy start, it was a successful meal with 8 people. Fish, fried potatoes, starters and special dishes... everything tasted very, very good. We'll definitely come back and pre-order 😏

The restaurant is located next to a campsite with a beautiful view of the Eida. We were there without booking in advance, but we were still able to get a small table. The food was very good, tasty, fresh and cooked to perfection. Very good portions prepared in a very short wait. But you don't get the impression that finished products are being used.

The fish plate with crab and mussels was excellent! The food didn't take long to arrive after ordering. The staff was very friendly. We were in transit, so we didn't make a reservation and got the last available seat. The restaurant is rather simply furnished, but has a very nice view of the Eider and you can sit on the viewing terrace in summer.

Unfortunately more salt than taste......a shame as it was my birthday meal. Huge portions, but unfortunately totally oversalted, which is what I told the waitress. The meat (turkey? It was indefinable) tasted so soft, I've never eaten anything like it. We returned 7/8 of the portion...we were offered a coffee. Thank you... lots of money for lollipops and chocolate as a farewell. If this restaurant really believed in what they were offering, they would have taken the food back without a problem. Unfortunately we had to pay in full including all drinks.

We were there at 5:30 p.m. during the week and another couple came later. The plaice and kale were tasty and plentiful. The prices are okay. Overall, however, the price calculation seems a bit arbitrary. The ambience is fine. The view of the Eider is beautiful. The service was friendly, but not particularly attentive. Private things were done on the side. There was no invoice (the waitress looked at his cell phone; but the price corresponded to what I had calculated in my head) and payment is only possible in cash.

Very nice restaurant with a direct view of the Eider. Great atmosphere!! The food is always of a consistently high standard, even after repeated visits. The quantity is plentiful and we have never left the restaurant hungry again. The landlord is very nice not only to the locals but also to the tourists. We were there on New Year's Eve to have dinner just before the New Year. We had reserved a cozy table for two... very well placed, very friendly staff and also the boss and excellent food and good wine... an overall very nice evening. We will be back!

We went to eat at the old pier between Christmas and New Year's Eve. You would be well advised to book in advance, the restaurant is quite popular. The food was very tasty and plentiful, the menu was more extensive than the one here online. The landlord knows his craft, he is a landlord with heart and soul. The prices are reasonable. If we are in Tönning again we would like to come back.

Solid restaurant with friendly staff and a beautiful location directly on the Eider. Food was good, nothing outstanding, but decent, prices reasonable, could have been a little cheaper or the quality of the food a little higher.

The steak was stringy and the meat was of poor quality. The wine is too expensive at €8.20. You should rethink the price-performance ratio.

Das Restaurant liegt etwas Abseits. Nebenan gleich der Yachtclub. Vom Ambiente her nix besonderes ziemlich Altbacken. Speisekarte gute Auswahl an Fisch und Fleischgerichten. Die Portionen sind ganz gut Groß, dazu gubt es noch einen kleinen Salat. Das Schweinefilet hätte etwas besser sein können. Die Preise finde ich zu hoch, dazu nur Barzahlung!

Super netter Inhaber und Servicekräfte! Absolut leckeres Essen! Top Preis-Leistung! Wir hatten Schnitzel mit Pommes und gemischten Fischteller mit Bratkartoffeln. Es fiel uns sofort auf, dass das komplette Essen super frisch gekocht war. Man hört in der Küche wie das Schnitzel geklopft wird und schmeckt sofort den Unterschied. Das Essen war rundum lecker. Auch toll, dass ein kleiner Beilagensalat automatisch mit dabei war. Der Inhaber und die Servicekraft waren sehr nett, aufmerksam und freundlich ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Der Gastraum ist normal ausgestattet. Beleuchtung innen könnte etwas moderner und heller gestaltet werden und die Theke ist ziemlich vollgestellt - aber das ist evtl auch Geschmacksache ;) Bei schönem Wetter gibt es schöne Sitzplätze draußen direkt an der Eider. Sehr schön!

Wollten zwei Kinderportionen, da zwei am Tisch nicht so viel essen können. Meine Großmutter musste dann zwei Kinderportionen bestellen, da sie ja kein Kind mehr sei. Die Hälfte konnten wir dann wegschmeißen. Die Bedienung war überfordert und nicht wirklich freundlich. Schade. Warum dreht man Gästen mehr essen an, als sie essen können? Eine Kinderportion ist eine kleine Portion, egal wer sie ist. Ich bestelle eine Kinderportion und bekomme die auch nur. Fertig, warum muss man so krass Lebensmittel verschwenden?

Heute gut und reichlich hier im Restaurant gegessen. Okay, beim Salat hätte etwas besser kontrolliert werden können ( leider einige stark mitgenommene Salatblätter….). Schade. Aber der Kapitänsteller war richtig gut.😃Bratkartoffeln( auf Wunsch) gut knusprig, Fisch saftig und in Butter gebraten, Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier unserer Meinung nach. JA!!!!!! AUSSCHLIESSLICH BARZAHLUNG MÔGLICH!!!! Dafür kann der Wirt/ Besitzer aber nichts. Es ist in mehreren Geschäften in Tönning nicht möglich, da hier die Datenübertragung nicht gut genug funktioniert( Aussage des Chefs). Für uns kein Problem.

Wir haben lecker und gut gegessen. Die Matjes sind laut meiner Kollegin sensationell und es war der Beste den Sie bis dahin gegessen hatte. Ich hatte Nackensteakspieße mit Pommes und Salat. Die waren lecker aber auch keine Geschmacksexplosion. Dazu gab's Ajvar mit frischen roten Zwiebeln.

Das Essen war ok, aber mehr auch nicht. Ambiente trotz direkter Lage an der Eider auch nicht wirklich schön. Die Servicemitarbeiter_innen in Jogginghosen, ärmellose Tops, Sandalen ohne Socken, alles für unseren Geschmack etwas zu leger für ein Abendessen im Restaurant.

Das Essen war prima. Der Wind gehört dazu, incl. fliegender Salat ;-) Leider nur Barzahlung, aber wenn man es weiß, kann man da amit gut umgehen.

Das Essen ist optisch und geschmacklich perfekt. Ich hatte mir den Captainsteller gegönnt mit verschiedenen Fischfilets (sehr zart) mit Krabben und Muscheln gegönnt. Abgesehen davon, dass es super lecker war, war die Portion auch sehr groß. Da ich vermute, dass die anderen Gerichte auch so umfangreich sein werden, sollte man sich darauf einstellen Da leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist (nur ein kleines Pappschild an der Tür weist darauf hin), sollte ausreichend Bargeld für die den Preis werten Menüs bereitgehalten werden. Das kleine, aber zunächst unscheinbare Restaurant direkt an der Eider, ist eine absolute Empfehlung.
