Toller Service,sehr aufmerksam,aber nicht aufdringlich! Das Essen sehr schmackhaft ,große Portionen und frisch! Preis-Leistung stimmt. Für uns jederzeit wieder!!!

Gut bürgerliche Küche und nettes Ambiente. Kann man empfehlen.

Heute mal dass Küstenschnitzel sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war lecker, wir hatten viel Spaß. Gerne wieder.

Waren zu zweit dort. Bestellung war ein Hawaiischnitzel und ein Deichburger. Die Bedienung teilte uns nach Rücksprache mit der Küche mit, dass keine Ananas da sei, also bitte ein anderes Schnitzel gewählt werden solle. Habe mich dann für das Küstenschnitzel entschieden. Nach erneuter Rücksprache ging das auch nicht, da keine Tomaten und kein Deichkäse. Meine Frau fragte daraufhin, wie ohne den Käse denn ihr Burger zubereitet werden sollte. Das sei eine gute Frage, so die Bedienung. Wir sind dann ohne Essen gegangen und haben uns ein Restaurant gesucht, bei dem auch tatsächlich Speisen vorrätig waren. Wenn Speisen nicht vorrätig sind, ist das ja ok. Aber mich als Gast mit der Speisekarte Lotto spielen zu lassen, geht gar nicht. Die Trefferquote von 3/3 ist auch eher unterirdisch.

Hauptsächlich Schnitzel und Burger, aber alle mit dem gewissen Extra (z. B. Honig Limettensauce zum Burger), nettes Ambiente und super netter Service!

Der alte Standort im Feuerwehrhaus war etwas schöner vom Ambiente, aber im Nordfriesischen Haus ist es auch schön. Lediglich die Akustik ist sehr laut, wenn größere Gruppen anwesend sind. Aber das ließe sich einfach ändern. Der Service war sehr gut und die Mitarbeiter aufmerksam. Das Essen dauerte etwas länger, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Jederzeit wieder.

An beiden Essen fehlte Salz und Pfeffer somit war das Schnitzel etwas fade. Der Service etwas durch seine Wortwahl nervig.

Tolles Ambiente, ganz liebe Menschen, und das Essen ist absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen , erhielten gleich einen schönen Tisch. Viele verschiedene Schnitzelvarianten , da fiel die Auswahl schwer. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Einfach lecker Schnitzel Katharina!!!

Wir waren zwei mal dort. Einmal Burger, einmal Schnitzel. Beide bzw alle vier Speisen waren sehr lecker. Der Burger hätte nach unserem Geschmack etwas mehr durch sein können- aber geschmacklich wirklich gut. Wir kommen bei Gelegenheit wieder.

Endlich mal wieder ein richtig gut zubereitetes Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat. Da gab's aber gar nichts zu meckern. Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und hat gleich erkannt, daß wir aus dem badischen kommen. Auch das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Absolut empfehlenswert 👍👍

Leider hat uns das Gasthaus nicht überzeugt. Die Speisekarte war vielversprechend. Der Service wirklich nett und bemüht, trotz der Unterbesetzung. Das Essen war ok, die Portionen sind gut, leider war unser Fleisch lauwarm bis kalt, dafür die Pommes oder Kroketten frisch und sehr heiß. Ich weiß nicht ob es an der Unterbesetzung lag und ob sonst einfach mehr Potenzial da ist.

Essen war gut nur der Salat wurde vergessen und es war zu wenig Personal da wenn der Laden sehr voll ist und nur 2 Leute da rumlaufen kann das nicht funktionieren

Wir sind früher immer super gerne im roten Hahn essen gegangen, leider ist unsere erste Erfahrung nach dem Umzug jetzt nicht so gut. Wir haben einen Tisch reserviert und sind pünktlich da gewesen. Da wir die Karte ja kennen, haben wir uns bereits nach wenigen Minuten entschieden und Essen bestellt. Dann ging die Warterei los: Während 5 Tische um uns Rum mit (scheinbar) Gästen aus dem Hotel ihren Hauptgang bekamen warteten wir. Dann wurde bei allen der leere Teller abgeräumt, wir währenddessen immer noch am warten. Dann wurde allen Hotelgästen ihre Nachspeise gebracht und wir waren immer noch am warten. Nachdem bei ALLEN Hotelgästen auch die Nachspeise abgeräumt war, kam auch irgendwann unser Essen (ich glaube wir haben ziemlich genau 1 Stunde warten müssen). Ich Frage mich warum man dann für diesen Zeitraum nicht eine externe Reservierungssperre macht oder zumindest ehrlich ist, dass man dann eben sehr lange aufs Essen warten muss. Wir waren super hungrig und kamen uns echt wie Gäste zweiter Klasse vor. Als das Essen dann kam fragte ich ob ich noch eine Scheibe Zitrone fürs Schnitzel bekommen könnte und noch bevor ich den Satz zu Ende formulierte zeigte der Kellner (ich meine er ist sogar der Chef) ungeduldig auf die Ketchup und Majo Flasche. Naja das war nun nicht die Antwort auf meine Frage. Fakt ist ich habe die Frage dann nochmal wiederholt und trotzdem keine Scheibe Zitrone bekommen, da er dann mit Murmeln vom Tisch weggegangen ist. Ob wir nach diesem Erlebnis nochmal wiederkommen weiß ich nicht, sehr schade.

Well, the old fire station had something going for it. The ambiance alone. We've eaten at the old Roter Hahn many times. The new one – meh. Telephone reservation requests left on the answering machine aren't returned. One thing's for sure: we each had a schnitzel and were full, but we have to admit that the food was very bland. The service is in a class of its own – abysmal. 🍺 Just handed over the counter because you don't want to walk the 5 meters. You had to ask for cutlery. The food was carelessly served by the chef and kitchen assistant in aprons that were a few days old. Unkempt fingers and casual clothing – if you want to be part of the family, you'll feel at home here. We've been sitting here for 20 minutes with empty glasses and no one feels responsible. A business could be lost if they were more attentive. We can't agree with the recommendations in the restaurant guides.

There were plenty of seats available. Both the waitress and the owner ignored me. I stood there for five minutes, looking stupid. Everything may have been fine, but that's not service for me... I went to an Asian restaurant. I received a friendly welcome and had great food.

Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. The staff was unfriendly, and we were immediately sent away because they apparently had run out of hot food – and this was three hours before the official closing time. However, other guests were still served food, which makes the whole thing even more incomprehensible. In my opinion, this kind of behavior has nothing to do with good service or customer friendliness. If you're obviously not interested in serving guests, you should close early. A real shame!

We ate at the "Roter Hahn" today. Unfortunately, we can't agree with the reviews here and overall, we didn't have a good evening there. The wait for our food was over an hour, which wasn't uncommon that evening. Other guests were happy to wait longer, too, and excuses like the oven wasn't preheated for the appetizers or orders were mixed up (drinks). The portions weren't commensurate with the price. For 15.50 (without fries) for a BBQ burger, I expect homemade buns and their own sauces, but unfortunately, that didn't seem to be the case. All in all, we were very disappointed that evening.

This was our second time there. The food is consistently excellent. If you like schnitzel, this is the place for you! The service is very friendly.

Good food with a focus on schnitzel and burgers. Large portions. Good quality, reasonable prices. Friendly service. The location is a matter of taste, but it's clean and tidy.

We were absolutely and completely satisfied. We had a room for two nights and went out to dinner the first evening. We were very pleased with the room and the food. We were particularly impressed by the wonderful hospitality of the owner and staff. We will be back.

Delicious bistro cuisine extends from a small restaurant. Attentive staff, quick and friendly, look after the guests. The food is recommended, I found the best fries on the west coast there. Flens on tap. Unfortunately there are two steps at the entrance for wheelchair users.

We went to the Roter Hahn for dinner. The food (cordon bleu and burgers) and the service were absolutely top. We have nothing to complain about and would be happy to come back.

The food was excellent and tasted fantastic - everything was freshly prepared. The atmosphere was pleasant and very homely, so you immediately feel at home. I can only recommend the visit.

Although on Saturday the two of us with our dog showed up here just before the “rush hour” without a reservation. We were warmly welcomed and a place was found for us. Now after 45 minutes we are full and happy. The food was delicious and everything suited us.

Ambience and service top. Waiting 50 minutes for the food was pretty borderline. Jägerschnitzel served absolutely carelessly on the plate, two small pieces of meat very thin, a maximum of two tablespoons of mushroom sauce and 6 croquettes, for €19 once and not again. We have numerous comparisons in and around Husum as local. The burger that my wife ordered for €17 was also served carelessly and overpriced. Some snack bars do this better. The bottom line: My expectations were too high when it came to pricing...

The service was very nice and the food was very good.

Our short vacation took us to Tönning and while strolling through the town we happened to find the Red Rooster. In addition to the very nice service, we liked the selection of various schnitzel variations, which were very creative and super tasty. So our journey took us there three times, with each visit to our complete satisfaction. The salad served was fresh and crunchy, the quality of the main course was very good and the portion size was rather generous. Thank you for the 3 lovely dinners.

We have been visiting the Red Rooster for a long time now and have always been very satisfied. The food tastes really delicious and is prepared quickly. Both the boss personally and the staff are really very friendly. It's a very nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Our first evening in Germany. Then of course you will eat schnitzel! We had a schnitzel with mushrooms and onion and a schnitzel with mushrooms, onion and cream sauce. Potato croquettes and steak fries, which are thick fries. It also came with a delicious bowl of crispy salad. Nice spring water. It was delicious! Two small schnitzels per person, which made it a decent portion. Service was super friendly and most importantly for us: the dog was welcome, even inside. We were told everything would take a while because it was busy. No problem and the food arrived fairly quickly. Good price/quality ratio.

We have enjoyed going here for years. The food is super delicious. Excellent meat quality. The service is also great and friendly. Sometimes you have to bring some time, but with an announcement so that you can prepare for it. Highly recommended!

The service was super friendly. The three of us came without a reservation. We were offered a table straight away, with the note that it could be longer - if I was told that in advance; that it takes some time, it's absolutely okay to wait. Said and done. We had a comfortable table and drinks arrived quickly. Watching football was also possible. Price-performance was great! All three of us had the schnitzel burger. That was the weirdest thing I've eaten in a long time. Salad at the front, I could hardly touch the fries because the portion was immensely generous. If someone comes very hungry, this is a good choice. Lots of meat, super good sauce, plenty of toppings, crispy fries. So I would come back here at any time! Everyone was super nice, the food was delicious, the portion was large. Absolute recommendation!

We come to Tönning every year for vacation and at least once we eat at the "Roter Hahn". Everything was great again this year. We'll be coming back next year because eating here is an absolute MUST...

Hello, there's nothing to complain about in the red 🐓. Friendly and quick service 👍🏻 you can quickly find something for both big and small appetites. Food 🍽 delicious, prices reasonable. Fresh Flens 🍺 from the barrel and a “distributor” to wash it down, the sip is really called that! 😁 Bello 🐶 can also take a seat. Card payment cell phone or card welcome 💸

Good morning, To say it straight away, I'm reviewing a pub bistro and not a restaurant. But that doesn't mean that the "Red Rooster" doesn't have any advantages. Just to be on the safe side, my wife and I called ahead to see if we needed to book a table. That was a good thing, because the bistro was well attended. The ambience was nice and rustic and you could feel the charm of the old fire department. The food reminded me of old snack times, only better. What was still missing was the shish kebab on the menu. Maybe a tip to the operator/cook. Especially since the bistro and butcher shop Kühn from Oldenswort also has the best supplier. The portions were generous and I struggled to finish the plate. Starter or dessert would have been the last straw. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Flensburg range of beers, which included the “Kellerbier” from the bottle and the “Edle Helle” from the tap. The staff was very helpful and always available. Unfortunately I neglected to take pictures, and I would like to apologize for that. I wish the Red Rooster and his people all the best. We will be back!

A cozy, industrial-style restaurant with nice service and good food. The pan fish with fried potatoes was very fresh. Burgers and schnitzels were also good. Absolute recommendation for a meal in Tönning.

Das Lokal ist eine ehemalige Feuerwehr. Es liegt mitten in Tönning. Das Essen war gut und der Service ebenfalls.Wir waren nicht das letztemal dort.

Neun Personen, Neun verschiedene Essen und jedes war super lecker. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Kann man zum Essen hin, muss man aber nicht. Burger mit Gallowaypatty beim Essen so zerfallen, Burger mit Hähnchencrispy (bestimmt TK) anstatt Honig-Senf-Sauce nur mit körnigem Senf bestrichen, fast ungenießbar. Pommes waren okay, Mayo und Ketchup lieblos in der Flasche auf den Tisch gestellt.

Selten hatten wir einen so guten Burger, da passt alles. Der Service ist hervorragenden. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen, wenn wir mal wieder in Tönning sind.

Ganz klar😁👌Viele Grüße aus Bremen senden Angelika und Frank Hammerburger, Hammerschnitzel, Hammerservice....nein - keine Schmiede, kein Baumarkt - einfach eine Hammerkneipe für ALLE, die gegen angemessenes Geld lecker essen und trinken möchten - und das noch bei wirklich sehr freundlichem Service. Wir als Touristen im Ort (und somit zum ersten Mal im "Hahn") fühlten uns dennoch gleich "sozialisiert" und integriert in's Feuerwehrhaus. Also - einfach mal ein freundliches "Macht weiter so!!!!....und wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen im Herbst!! Beste Grüße aus Bremen anne Küste....;-) ....

Lecker, preiswert und Hunde erlaubt

Sehr nette Bedienung, perfekten Platz mit Hund bekomme, sogar mit Wassernapf, Essen sehr lecker, sehr zu empfehlen. Parken direkt am Haus möglich.

Nach kurzfristiger Reservierung - trotz Stress' im Lokal - ein wirklich netter und offener Chef des Lokals, der uns direkt darauf hinwies, dass es etwas dauern könnte. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht! Ein äusserst schmackhafter Galloway-Burger (übrigens mit hellem, extrem tollen Sauerteig-Bun). Auch die spät hinzubestellten Onionrings kamen echt schnell hinterher. Trotz vollem Laden: ein paar Worte "Schnack" hatte der Chef übrig. Ganz tolles Ambiente, leckeres Essen, Preise ok - 5 Sterne!

Super sympathischer Chef, der trotz Stress immer gut gelaunt geblieben ist und auch Zeit für ein paar Worte hatte. Super Schnitzel, tolle Süßkartoffelpommes - kann nicht jeder - , toller großzügiger Beilagensalat - aus ganz vielen frischen verschiedenen Zutaten - Komme seeeeeeeeeehr gerne wieder. Am besten reservieren!
