Yes I can recommend it but everyone has to decide for themselves

For €19.90, there's a buffet. It wasn't particularly appealing, so I chose a dish from the menu. The quality was truly excellent. The portion size was unbeatable. Unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't pleasant. Hectic, hectic. There was no sign of comfort. The service was attentive. A little more class would have been appropriate here.

We were unfortunately disappointed with the buffet. The gyro was completely oversalted and frozen! You can tell because it was shredded to tiny pieces. It has absolutely nothing to do with a good gyro, which is what defines a Greek restaurant! The rest of the food was also mostly frozen or canned! What a shame. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

We stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance and were completely surprised! All three of us chose the buffet and were thrilled. Everyone can find something to their liking here: varied and truly delicious! And the service was extremely friendly and gave us excellent advice, for example, on our wine selection. We'll be happy to come back again sometime!

We had a buffet there for the first time today. It was super tasty, everything was refilled very quickly if something ran out, employees checked whether they needed to refill anything TOP! Friendliness was also really great. I would definitely recommend it and this wasn't our last visit 😉

We go to Cuxhaven several times a year and on our first evening we ALWAYS go to Yamass, our favorite Greek restaurant. Eating with nice people just like in Greece! We prefer to eat typical Greek food from the menu, but the buffet is always very tasty too. There's something for everyone here and we've also thought about the younger and older children who might not just like typical Greek food and would prefer to eat pasta. There is also a very tasty and very fresh salad from the buffet, even if you order something from the menu. The dessert buffet with cakes, ice cream, pudding and much more. It's definitely not just the children who are happy. Warm, familiar service, great service and delicious ouzo make the evening a complete success. Was there for the first time then wanted to eat a buffet and I have to say I didn't like it because some things didn't say whether pork or which meat. Then things weren't even warm but really cold. You couldn't eat the potatoes like that. It's sad for the price, plus the fact that for a 2 year old child they wanted to collect four euros for the other 3 year old child 6 euros, which is already a lot. The children ate a few fries and pasta, we thought it was cheeky. We won't go there again...

Highly recommended location in the health resort of Döse. A very rich buffet for an absolutely acceptable price. The staff very friendly and always attentive. The buffet was always quickly refilled and used plates were cleared away immediately. Highly recommended if you want to eat Greek on the North Sea

I think the buffet is really good and tasty, the sauces are amazing, and the meat is so tender.

Not recommended! Everything looked delicious, but it was only lukewarm and totally tasteless. Some of the meat quality was poor. The entire buffet feels like it only consists of frozen finished goods. Half the range probably comes from the “Eiskönig” shop opposite. You should at least expect simple things like fresh fried potatoes or fries that aren't soggy. The tzatziki tasted musty and not at all like garlic. The plates had a smear film on the surface. When we asked whether everything had been good, we said no and were told by the waitress: "The buffet is not as good as the menu. It's about mass processing." In my opinion, a buffet should also be able to serve decent food. The whole thing had a 2 star all inclusive hotel food abroad vibe. Where the good reviews come from is a mystery to us. So if you really want to eat Greek, please don't go there!

When we are on vacation in Cuxhaven, we eat at least once in the Yamass restaurant. The food is very good and the price-performance ratio is right! Very friendly staff, we can recommend it without hesitation.

Buffet was very rich, there is something for every taste. Food was very tasty. The service was super friendly and there was also an ouzo on the house. What more could you want! We will definitely come back on our next Cuxhaven vacation!

Great buffet offering a wide selection of dishes and nice staff

We were in this Greek restaurant on Saturday March 22nd, 2025. There was nothing to complain about. The buffet had a huge selection and it was very, very tasty. Gyros in Metaxa sauce was my highlight. Service and boss very nice. Unfortunately my card didn't work because it said VISA, which is my regular bank card. Only possible with EC card, or preferably cash.

Great service and nice restaurant. However, by Greek I mean something different. The buffet is a mix of 1/3 Greek, 1/3 German home cooking and 1/3 junk food. I mean chili cheese nuggets on a Greek buffet? We didn't like it. Dessert was frozen goods from Coppenrath & Wiese and ice cream. Really disappointing. In addition, you would have to choose the buffet because the menu didn't promise what you wanted.

The perfect pub for an evening out. For the price of 20 euros you can eat really nicely. The open buffet offers many items to choose from. Worth recommending.

We were here for the second time in a row as part of our kale hike. Not only because the kale from the buffet tasted very good again, but also because other participants who don't like kale were able to eat their fill at the extensive and delicious buffet and the service was always nice and courteous despite the packed house. We are looking forward to the year.

We were there on Saturday without a reservation and were kindly allocated a table. The buffet was sensational. Actually we just wanted to order a plated meal. Thanks to the recommendation of the extremely friendly and attentive service, we “stormed” the buffet. First-class quality. No culinary wishes remained unfulfilled. Thanks and keep it up.

We'll be back... During our summer vacation in 2024, we tried the Yamass in Döse for the first time and left full and satisfied. A Greek restaurant with a buffet selection was very well received by us and the two kids. Unfortunately, this "Greek buffet concept" is not available at the Greek restaurants in our home... The price/performance ratio is right. There was a very large, tasty selection of food and we will definitely come back next time we are in the region! Thumbs up - keep it up...

I had a long journey by bike and found that the restaurant was closed. According to Google and the website it should be open. An absolute no-go for me. Then not!

We got a table at short notice, but it would be better to reserve. The staff was very, very hardworking and the food was absolutely delicious. I can only recommend it. Unfortunately I had trouble finding a parking space, but everything else was great.

Already been there 4 days before. Table directly on site for January 1st. reserved. Then when you come on January 1st. 25 in the evening you were told you had 1.5 hours. This was not previously stated when making the reservation! The price for the buffet was then spontaneously increased to 20.90 when cashing out ("due to holiday"). Where does it say that? Restaurant full, food varied, staff plentiful, service ok. However, the price and time issue rules out a repetition for me, as it looks like arbitrariness and profit maximization at the customer's expense.

We went there for a buffet today, it was very crowded and loud. A great buffet, lots of choice, the gyros tasted very tasty. Unfortunately, a few things such as the potatoes or the meat rolls were completely cold. The desserts were also great. The service was super nice and accommodating and everyone was totally child-friendly.

It was our first time eating here and we tried the buffet. There was something from everyone and incredibly tasty. The service was just wonderful and everyone was totally welcoming. Our daughter fell asleep in the buggy on the way there. We therefore got another table to put them there better. When she was awake, she was offered painting materials straight after eating. They were all very attentive. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the restaurant.

We spontaneously reserved a table on Saturday, even though the restaurant was full. The buffet was very extensive, lots of choice, very clean and tidy. There are salads, starters, lots of meat, but also calamari, vegetables, even kale depending on the season, and also various desserts and ice cream. I deducted one point because some of the food wasn't particularly warm and because the gyros in Metaxa were so soggy. Otherwise there is something for everyone and it is always replenished. The staff is always really friendly and kind. There were 2 ouzos from the house. The price of 18.90 is unbeatable. We would like to come back...

Simply delicious and cheap! Eat enough or plate! Were here again. This time there was kale, Bregenwurst - if you like it - and smoked pork. Was very tasty. I can only recommend it

Despite the restaurant being fully booked and full, I received competent, friendly and quick service when ordering take-away at short notice. A free drink and an ouzo shortened my waiting time. The food was handed to me well packaged, it was very plentiful and good. Next time we will pre-book seats and look forward to good food.

This was the first time I ate Greek buffet. What really convinced us was that we only had to pay EUR 4 and EUR 5 for the children (3 and 4 years old). In other restaurants there are no children's plates under €9.50, which is outrageous for pasta with tomato sauce. Buffet was rich, gyros, souvlaki etc. were delicious. Dessert included too. Ambience ok - we sat directly at the buffet, I think there are nicer places. P/L great! Come again!

The food is top and tastes good. However, I have to deduct 2 stars just for the toilet. You really don't want to go there. Please clean the toilets and replace the toilet brushes urgently.

A sweet little restaurant that is run with a lot of love. We chose the buffet and it was really tasty. Large selection, always warm and deliciously seasoned and always enough. finally I don't believe it, a Greek buffet, a little dream that comes true😋 and in a rather small town. That was my thought at first. but... positive is the friendly and attentive one service to mention. The food was replenished quickly and plentifully. The selection is large and varied, the salad is fresh and tasty. The desserts and the ice cream are ready-made (which is understandable given the price). Unfortunately only 2 stars because we think the meat (possibly frozen food) is over-seasoned and the sauces are too creamy. The red rice was juicy but didn't taste good. The big disappointment was the Metaxa sauce (it was missing the fruity paprika pep). It's also bad that the fried crap (fries, spring rolls (weird with Greek), nuggets, nuggets and more nuggets are probably more for children). And even if it sounds arrogant, I make much better red rice, metaxa sauce, tzatziki, bifstekis and susukis. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio is okay. and thanks for the ouzo on the house. continued success

We have never experienced anything like this... an incredible restaurant!!! The food is on point, the staff have a typical Nordic attitude, the guests are friendly and the prices are absolutely reasonable. We will gladly accept a 120km journey!!!

We went to yamass 6 weeks ago for the first time in 3 years. It started with the table reservation. I have reserved a table for the next day. I asked if dogs were allowed in the restaurant. That was answered in the negative. I asked if the dog was allowed into the beer garden, and he was allowed to do so. So I reserved a table for 4 people and specifically said that we had a dog with us in the beer garden. When we came the next day, I told the waitress that we had reserved a table in the beer garden. She looked in her book and said we had made reservations for inside. I said, no. I specifically said that we were coming with a dog. Then she went into the beer garden to see if there was anything available. There was a table free. We sat down. It took a whopping 20 minutes until her colleague came and asked if we wanted something to drink. After we finally had our drinks we headed to the buffet. The dishes were drowned in sauces. You could no longer tell what kind of meat it was. So three years ago the food was still great. But not anymore. That was the last time we were there. I will only visit the Greek at the ahoi bath.
