Very friendly staff. Have the best Mousaka (homemade) ever eaten Restaurant highly recommended.

The food is good quality. The taste is okay too, but nothing special. The restaurant is very large and therefore has more of a canteen character. Eating here once is enough.

The food and service was really good. Mega. Unfortunately it was a bit cramped and the restaurant was very full. So it was very loud. Conversing was pretty bad. The restaurant is very popular. I can only recommend making a reservation in advance.

Very large restaurant with the usual offering of Greek cuisine. Even though the restaurant was packed, the service was excellent and the food was freshly grilled and tasty. You can get starters from the buffet to bridge the waiting time. The wine selection could be larger, but that didn't spoil the very positive impression. Reservations are recommended as the crowd is large. We can recommend El Greco.

I had already heard a lot of good things about El Greco, and recently it finally happened: a warm evening, the perfect occasion to go out for a good Greek meal again - and what can I say? I wasn't disappointed. On the contrary: It was like a short vacation on the Mediterranean, just in the middle of beautiful Cuxhaven, on Wehrbergsweg. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Friendly, almost familiar. The smell from the kitchen – a mixture of fresh garlic, grilled meat and Mediterranean herbs – immediately whets your appetite. It felt a bit like staying with friends. Except these friends are great at cooking. We decided on a mixed appetizer platter – homemade, fresh, incredibly aromatic. The dolmadakia and the tzatziki in particular were a poem. For the main course I chose the classic gyro plate - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a touch of cinnamon and oregano - simply seasoned to perfection. My companion had grilled lamb fillet that was so tender that it literally melted in your mouth. Add a glass of retsina and the evening was complete. What particularly impressed me was the attention to detail. The food didn’t just come to the table “hot” – it came with a smile. The waitress always kept an eye on us without seeming intrusive. And as a little extra, we were offered an ouzo at the end - just the right note to end the evening. El Greco is not a place for hectic meals – it is a place to enjoy, arrive and linger. And anyone who believes that good Greek cuisine has to be heavy and greasy will be proven wrong here. Fresh, honest, authentic – that’s how I would describe it. My conclusion: If you are in Cuxhaven and long for sun, sea and Greek lifestyle - stop by El Greco. It's more than just a restaurant. It is a piece of Greece in the north. And I am sure: you will also want to come back.

The food in the El Greco restaurant is very good and tasty, but unfortunately the portions are smaller. It has subsided.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed today. We are holiday guests in Duhnen and had ordered food to pick up. We were there last year and were very impressed, which is why we ordered something again this time. When we picked up the food and got home, we discovered that the food had been put in the box very carelessly. We ordered the souflaki twice and the meat was 70% raw. Once we had the dish gyros and the food was good. Nothing special but good. Unfortunately we threw away the rest.

Large, Greek restaurant with windows facing the sea and an outdoor terrace. Always very busy - a reservation is therefore recommended. The service is friendly and quick, the food is of good quality. The portions are generous. Children's menu and high chairs are also available.

Felt like a train station hall, loud and very crowded. The order could only be placed after 15 minutes. The positive reviews are probably due to the fact that there are no other Greeks nearby. Food was ok.

Some time ago we reserved a table for a Monday and the reservation was confirmed. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed when we arrived and that's what the opening times said. It's a shame, the operator should have announced this beforehand. We weren't the only guests who found themselves standing in front of the locked door despite having a reservation.

I fluctuated between 2 and 3 stars. I was disappointed with the lunch. - First of all, the good thing: I'm full! - Criticism: (1) I don't think the sauce goes well with the grape leaves! It wasn't tasty and didn't fit. (not my taste.) - Criticism (2): Even if it was lunch, and the restaurants If I had to calculate hard, I would have liked a salad. At the Chinese lunch (sometimes buffet) is also possible. - Criticism (3): The main course tasted slightly salty to me, and tasted 0-8-15 (nothing special) I liked the food had subsided. - Maybe it's because I ordered something different than usual. service - Service was friendly. Courteous. - As far as criticism goes, they couldn't handle it well, that's my feeling. Ambiance - The restaurant is nice, good view and well maintained (clean). - It's all ok. Conclusion I don't know if I'm being too strict with my rating. But this time I was disappointed; and it has always been my "favorite Greek restaurant" to date. Too bad.

Food & service great as usual! The volume is always a bit tiring due to the number of seats, especially when completely overtired small children, who are taken to the restaurant by their parents at completely inappropriate times, cause a commotion! Otherwise, as before, clear recommendation!

On Saturdays at 5:45 p.m. it's packed, louder than any canteen. Gyros and souvlaki could have been cooked even more.

Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen den Weg ins El Grevo gefunden! Am Ende von Duhnen in einem größeren Komplex , wobei auch das Restaurant sehr groß ist und nichts von einer griechischen Taverne gar! Service gut und professionell, natürlich weg von der griechischen Herzlichkeit, was aber nicht in die Bewertung einfließen sollte! Mein Gericht ( Gyros / Calamaris mit Tzaziki sowie Reis) .. Salat vom Buffet inkludiert… war wirklich gut und sehr schmackhaft! Der halbtrockene Weisswein als Tischwein akzeptabel! Zusammenfassend: Ambiente weit weg von der Heimat….. Essen sehr gut! Würde ich mit Familie oder Freunden wiederkommen: Ja! Der griechische Kaffee zu Abschluss war auch gut und nicht zu vergessen…. es gab einen Ouzo zur Begrüssung und zum Abschied😀!

The Greek El Greco is simply delicious. I've tried quite a few Greeks in my life. But this one is the best. Such a delicious meal and then this view towards the North Sea. Don't forget the staff either. Nice, attentive and always keeping an eye on you. Keep it up 👍

We got a table for December 30th. In Duhnen it was absolute high season on New Year's Eve and there were probably over 200 guests in the restaurant. Despite the large number of people, we were served quickly and friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The waiting time was almost 0 minutes because you could go to the salad buffet before the main course. The salad was delicious and there was something for everyone. Exactly the same as the main course. We were thrilled with the organization and will definitely come back.

We didn't eat there because we didn't make a reservation. Our impression is very good but without a reservation there is hardly any chance of getting a table. Very unfortunate; half an hour later we looked inside and sure enough there were more than a handful Tables free.😀👎

Very nicely located restaurant right on the dike with a huge outdoor area. Attentive and friendly staff, despite Christmas. Salad is put together at the salad bar. Starters to start, farmer's sausage made from Trikala and grilled pepperoni, very tasty. As a main course, Daphne platter with gyros, souflaki and souzuki, very tasty. At the same time, I had the chance to try the following: bifteki, chicken breast fillet, pork medallions in Metaxa. Everything was very tasty and well seasoned. Metaxa sauce very tasty! I have to say what it looks like in summer 😅 Things are going very well at Christmas.

We last went to El Greco about 10 years ago, and unfortunately the food wasn't good at all back then. Today we tried it again because of the good reviews and were pleasantly surprised! The food may not be a revelation but it is really solid. The staff was friendly and the prices were okay. So we'll come back!

THIS is a Greek restaurant. Starts with the salad buffet, 3 Greek salads and not just coleslaw etc. Many people only order ready-made plates, why? Mese consists of several cold and warm starters, we had 7 different ones just to our liking. With plenty of white bread, this is enough for 2 people. Everything was delicious, everyone had what they wanted! You sit very nicely, very friendly, there is ouzo from the house, before, after, who likes it!?

I have never eaten suflaki as good as I did here. Cooked to perfection. Super tasty. The fillet in Metaxa sauce cannot be beaten either. Thank you. It was uniquely delicious 😋

El Greco in Duhnen is also always worth a visit. Everything was super tasty, the portions were absolutely fine and the service staff was very attentive. The only thing that's a shame is that in the evening you can only reserve for either 5:30 or 7 p.m.

This was our first time at El Greco and we really enjoyed it. Since we were there in winter, it was well attended but not overcrowded so we had a free choice of seats. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was also good and plentiful... Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the view of the mudflats because it was already dark. We'll catch up on that on our next visit to Spmmer.
