El Greco in Cuxhaven

On Saturdays at 5:45 p.m. it's packed, louder than any canteen. Gyros and souvlaki could have been cooked even more.

Really great restaurant, super friendly staff, and first of all the food. Everything tastes really great. I can only recommend it. We'll be back

Gyros was very tasty. Even with a full house, everything went quickly.

Because we have made reservations several times and then been put off after waiting for 15 minutes, it is an imposition as a restaurant visitor to have to wait like Monkey in front of the counter. Never again for us.

Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen den Weg ins El Grevo gefunden! Am Ende von Duhnen in einem größeren Komplex , wobei auch das Restaurant sehr groß ist und nichts von einer griechischen Taverne gar! Service gut und professionell, natürlich weg von der griechischen Herzlichkeit, was aber nicht in die Bewertung einfließen sollte! Mein Gericht ( Gyros / Calamaris mit Tzaziki sowie Reis) .. Salat vom Buffet inkludiert… war wirklich gut und sehr schmackhaft! Der halbtrockene Weisswein als Tischwein akzeptabel! Zusammenfassend: Ambiente weit weg von der Heimat….. Essen sehr gut! Würde ich mit Familie oder Freunden wiederkommen: Ja! Der griechische Kaffee zu Abschluss war auch gut und nicht zu vergessen…. es gab einen Ouzo zur Begrüssung und zum Abschied😀!

Beautiful, modern restaurant with lots of space and a beautiful view of the water. Huge terrace. We were allowed in with a dog. Food with good value for money and everything was very well maintained.

The Greek El Greco is simply delicious. I've tried quite a few Greeks in my life. But this one is the best. Such a delicious meal and then this view towards the North Sea. Don't forget the staff either. Nice, attentive and always keeping an eye on you. Keep it up 👍

Despite the absolutely full house on New Year's Day, the service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious! If you don't mind eating with around 200 other guests, this is the place for you!

We got a table for December 30th. In Duhnen it was absolute high season on New Year's Eve and there were probably over 200 guests in the restaurant. Despite the large number of people, we were served quickly and friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The waiting time was almost 0 minutes because you could go to the salad buffet before the main course. The salad was delicious and there was something for everyone. Exactly the same as the main course. We were thrilled with the organization and will definitely come back.

Well-organized Greek restaurant, access to a rich salad buffet is offered for the main courses. The service is attentive and quick. There are also some beautiful deserts.

We didn't eat there because we didn't make a reservation. Our impression is very good but without a reservation there is hardly any chance of getting a table. Very unfortunate; half an hour later we looked inside and sure enough there were more than a handful Tables free.😀👎

Very nicely located restaurant right on the dike with a huge outdoor area. Attentive and friendly staff, despite Christmas. Salad is put together at the salad bar. Starters to start, farmer's sausage made from Trikala and grilled pepperoni, very tasty. As a main course, Daphne platter with gyros, souflaki and souzuki, very tasty. At the same time, I had the chance to try the following: bifteki, chicken breast fillet, pork medallions in Metaxa. Everything was very tasty and well seasoned. Metaxa sauce very tasty! I have to say what it looks like in summer 😅 Things are going very well at Christmas.

We last went to El Greco about 10 years ago, and unfortunately the food wasn't good at all back then. Today we tried it again because of the good reviews and were pleasantly surprised! The food may not be a revelation but it is really solid. The staff was friendly and the prices were okay. So we'll come back!

THIS is a Greek restaurant. Starts with the salad buffet, 3 Greek salads and not just coleslaw etc. Many people only order ready-made plates, why? Mese consists of several cold and warm starters, we had 7 different ones just to our liking. With plenty of white bread, this is enough for 2 people. Everything was delicious, everyone had what they wanted! You sit very nicely, very friendly, there is ouzo from the house, before, after, who likes it!?

I have never eaten suflaki as good as I did here. Cooked to perfection. Super tasty. The fillet in Metaxa sauce cannot be beaten either. Thank you. It was uniquely delicious 😋

El Greco in Duhnen is also always worth a visit. Everything was super tasty, the portions were absolutely fine and the service staff was very attentive. The only thing that's a shame is that in the evening you can only reserve for either 5:30 or 7 p.m.

This was our first time at El Greco and we really enjoyed it. Since we were there in winter, it was well attended but not overcrowded so we had a free choice of seats. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was also good and plentiful... Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the view of the mudflats because it was already dark. We'll catch up on that on our next visit to Spmmer.

We ate there on October 26th, 24 at 6 p.m. - the shop was packed but we were seated at the counter with drinks and after 10 minutes we got a table. The food was super tasty, the meat was fried really well and everything was fresh and tasty / salad buffet including self-service! The staff was really busy but was still very friendly, attentive and a perfect host - all in all a great restaurant 10/10!!!

He came into the restaurant after us and was served immediately and his volume could be heard throughout the entire restaurant. The restaurant is very large - almost like a very large hall. We were on vacation in Cuxhaven, so we overlooked it (volume) Unfortunately, parking for cars is also a problem!

Due to the size, unfortunately far too loud. Therefore only 2 stars for the ambience. Unfortunately, there was no fish or shrimp during our visit (Friday evening), which my wife was very upset about after she had been looking forward to it all week. We are still wondering how it works right by the sea and then no fish, but ok , still ate well.

Very tastefully and high quality furnished restaurant with a view of the Wadden Sea! There is a relatively large outdoor area that invites you to linger when the weather is nice! The food was absolutely outstanding! The meat and the gyros were very tasty and to the point! It could have just been a little more fries but that's rather subjective! ! The salad buffet with Greek salads with plenty of choice is particularly delicious! The service was very nice and absolutely relaxed and professional! The prices are absolutely right for the quality and the ambience! I would say upper middle class but absolutely appropriate! Only the parking situation is a bit problematic but for me it's not a big evaluation criterion! Conclusion: always happy again, but then with a bike!!

If you really want to eat very good Greek food, you can't avoid this place. We came here for dinner on Sunday afternoon, it wasn't too busy. The service was without exception friendly, quick but also tidy. The food was very tasty, freshly prepared and had appropriate portion sizes. The meat was juicy and perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Huge restaurant with around 200 seats. Hence the volume accordingly. DSD food is very tasty, especially the great salad buffet is great. Unfortunately, there is always a very long queue there at the beginning (reminds me of an all-inclusive hotel on vacation) but it's definitely worth standing in line. The service is excellently organized; despite the size of the restaurant, you don't have to wait too long for the food you ordered. The food itself is plentiful, but you can probably get a smaller portion if you ask. We'll be back. Table is already reserved. A reservation is definitely recommended.

Delicious food, great location, good service

The food was delicious and the service tried hard to serve the mass of guests. As a result, 2 side dishes were not served at our table even after we informed the service but were charged. Otherwise a nice shop because of the location.

This is our first time on vacation in Cuxhaven and the surrounding area. Went to El Greco today and were extremely satisfied. The service (staff) was on point and very friendly and accommodating! Despite being busy, the staff always had a kind word or a little joke for our toddler. The food was really excellent! Great moussaka and the gyros were also very tasty! Finally, a small ice cream farewell for the child (free of charge). We would love to come back again!

Food is very tasty! The meat is very juicy and the portion is definitely filling! Salads can be taken from the buffet beforehand! Price-performance is definitely TOP! You can't say more about the ambience (pre-order a table by the window!) by the sea! Many of the service staff don't speak German well, but they quickly get the person needed! The almost 5 stars are definitely justified as of 10.2024!

Very clean, really great service. The food was great, we were thoroughly impressed. 4 adults and a small child.

With the salad there is only ketchup sauce, no salt, no pepper, no olive oil. Skewers and potatoes were warmed up.
