Very friendly and the food is very good. What we always like is the salad buffet.

We ate there on October 26th, 24 at 6 p.m. - the shop was packed but we were seated at the counter with drinks and after 10 minutes we got a table. The food was super tasty, the meat was fried really well and everything was fresh and tasty / salad buffet including self-service! The staff was really busy but was still very friendly, attentive and a perfect host - all in all a great restaurant 10/10!!!

Very good restaurant (Greek cuisine) The food was great and the portions were also sufficient. Unfortunately the ambience wasn't that great. We sat next to a table where the guest was probably a very welcome guest and he behaved that way. He came into the restaurant after us and was served immediately and his volume could be heard throughout the entire restaurant. The restaurant is very large - almost like a very large hall. We were on vacation in Cuxhaven, so we overlooked it (volume) Unfortunately, parking for cars is also a problem!

Due to the size, unfortunately far too loud. Therefore only 2 stars for the ambience. Unfortunately, there was no fish or shrimp during our visit (Friday evening), which my wife was very upset about after she had been looking forward to it all week. We are still wondering how it works right by the sea and then no fish, but ok , still ate well.

A really tasty Greek in a great location! The service is great, really well organized despite the busy store, but no long waiting times! That's great! The staff is friendly, competent and the ouzo tastes good;) The food impresses with its high quality and delicious preparation - big compliments to the kitchen! If you are in Cuxhaven/Duhnen, you MUST pay a visit to el Greco!!

Very tastefully and high quality furnished restaurant with a view of the Wadden Sea! There is a relatively large outdoor area that invites you to linger when the weather is nice! The food was absolutely outstanding! The meat and the gyros were very tasty and to the point! It could have just been a little more fries but that's rather subjective! ! The salad buffet with Greek salads with plenty of choice is particularly delicious! The service was very nice and absolutely relaxed and professional! The prices are absolutely right for the quality and the ambience! I would say upper middle class but absolutely appropriate! Only the parking situation is a bit problematic but for me it's not a big evaluation criterion! Conclusion: always happy again, but then with a bike!!

We had a really delicious meal. The meat was amazing. Super tender and tastes great. Big compliments to the kitchen and not to forget the nice and friendly service staff.

If you really want to eat very good Greek food, you can't avoid this place. We came here for dinner on Sunday afternoon, it wasn't too busy. The service was without exception friendly, quick but also tidy. The food was very tasty, freshly prepared and had appropriate portion sizes. The meat was juicy and perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Huge restaurant with around 200 seats. Hence the volume accordingly. DSD food is very tasty, especially the great salad buffet is great. Unfortunately, there is always a very long queue there at the beginning (reminds me of an all-inclusive hotel on vacation) but it's definitely worth standing in line. The service is excellently organized; despite the size of the restaurant, you don't have to wait too long for the food you ordered. The food itself is plentiful, but you can probably get a smaller portion if you ask. We'll be back. Table is already reserved. A reservation is definitely recommended.

Rather inconspicuous from the outside, the food and service (at least ours) are exceptionally good. Unfortunately I was there on Saturday an expensive mohair stole was stolen 😞

This is our first time on vacation in Cuxhaven and the surrounding area. Went to El Greco today and were extremely satisfied. The service (staff) was on point and very friendly and accommodating! Despite being busy, the staff always had a kind word or a little joke for our toddler. The food was really excellent! Great moussaka and the gyros were also very tasty! Finally, a small ice cream farewell for the child (free of charge). We would love to come back again!

The food was delicious and the service tried hard to serve the mass of guests. As a result, 2 side dishes were not served at our table even after we informed the service but were charged. Otherwise a nice shop because of the location.

Food is very tasty! The meat is very juicy and the portion is definitely filling! Salads can be taken from the buffet beforehand! Price-performance is definitely TOP! You can't say more about the ambience (pre-order a table by the window!) by the sea! Many of the service staff don't speak German well, but they quickly get the person needed! The almost 5 stars are definitely justified as of 10.2024!

Very good Greek restaurant. With an inexpensive lunch menu. It's a bit out of the way but it's worth it.

With the salad there is only ketchup sauce, no salt, no pepper, no olive oil. Skewers and potatoes were warmed up.

I waver between a 3 and 4 star rating. The food itself definitely deserves five stars, but unfortunately you don't feel very welcome as a guest. We had reserved a table for October 3rd months ago and specifically chose the time at 4 p.m. before the rush in the evening, with the request that we would like to eat comfortably and stay for at least two hours. When we arrived yesterday we were told that the table could only be kept until 5:30 p.m. After asking again, we were given a table until 6 p.m. But then from 5:15 p.m. (!) all the waiters started looking at our glasses every few minutes with the motto “When are you finally finished”. I found it very unpleasant and a shame because we had waited until 6 p.m. for a table and I didn't expect to be asked to leave at 5:15 p.m.

Yummy. Delicious, nice, accommodating, child-friendly. Unfortunately we are only here on holiday, otherwise it would quickly become our regular Greek.

I first went to El Greco with my mother. And what should we say?! From the service to the food, everything was absolutely top! As a starter we had the saganaki and a tzatziki and as a main course we had the gyros in Metaxa sauce with cheese gratinated with fries. The food, whether the saganaki or the gyros, was super tasty. The fries were also extremely tasty! With your meal you can also put together a salad from the salad bar. The dish can be eaten perfectly by two people, which is really quite enough. We also had a rosé wine, which was also absolutely delicious. You definitely have to reserve a table. The store is quite large, but the seats go quickly or everything is already reserved. It's not too loud at all, even though the store is really big. Thanks for the wonderful food! We'll definitely be back ☺️

Very friendly and attentive service, the food was excellently prepared, we were extremely satisfied with the evening. Even without a reservation, we quickly got a seat on a Sunday evening. Not necessarily recommended for people looking for a place for a quiet dinner, at least when we were there. Due to the large room and the many occupied tables, there was a somewhat restless atmosphere. But that also speaks for the quality of the remaining points! Highly recommended!

The food is good, but it takes a while to receive the food after ordering. The restaurant is always busy, which means the ambience suffers somewhat. It's crowded and loud. The service is very friendly and takes care of the guests, but due to the number of guests you often have to wait to order something and unfortunately we have already been forgotten. To go out for a good meal, certainly not suitable for a cozy, quiet dinner.

If you want to eat good Greek food, you've come to the right place. There are lots of seats inside, which makes it a bit louder. The outside terrace is a dream. A great view of the sea and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset. The food is very tasty and the portions are sufficient. The staff are all courteous and always nice and friendly. We've eaten there 3 times now and would love to come back any time 👍

One of the best restaurants in Duhnen! The food is very tasty and there are some Greek dishes that are not available elsewhere. The ambience with a direct sea view is fantastic, especially in the evenings at sunset. We recommend the fried pepperoni as a starter and the moussaka. Of course you get ouzo (before your meal) for free.

A large restaurant but nice and functionally furnished. There was no feeling of mass processing even though the place was full. Food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The waitresses were friendly and really quick. I would come here again at any time.

First the positive. The quality of the food is really very good. Meat perfectly cooked and very tender. Price performance okay. Service quick and attentive. Now the negative. Fries were lukewarm, as was the bottle of water (7 euros). Unfortunately, the atmosphere is like a train station hall. There is mass processing here. Not a bit of coziness like you're used to in Greek restaurants.

We went there twice and had different experiences. The first time we had the souvlaki and a platter of liver, gyros and souvlaki, both with rice. The meat was tender and juicy and the rice was delicious. Only the red wine could have been a little cooler. The service was nice, friendly and unobtrusive. On the second visit a completely different picture. We had pork fillet in Metaxa sauce and bifteki with gyros, again with rice. The bifteki would have needed another two minutes on the grill and the feta was unfortunately only available "homeopathically", the gyros was good like the first time. Unfortunately the pork fillet was very dry and firm. The time the bifteki lacked was because the fillet was on the grill too long. But the sauce had a good taste. Unfortunately the rice was already cold when the food was served. This time the service had something of a mass-processing quality to it; the ouzo we ordered were no longer served. When we wanted to pay it was so quick that we couldn't even leave a tip (we paid by card). If the second experience had been the same as the first it would have been 5 stars. Actually, look.

Very tasty food, but canteen atmosphere

The food, beef liver, souvlaki, tzatziki, etc. was really delicious! The price/performance ratio is OK for a holiday destination. Apparently the service staff were running back and forth without a plan, but they still had everything under control. When it comes to the ambience, you can say that it's not like a local Greek restaurant with all the bells and whistles. The restaurant, the furnishings and the outdoor area are modern. In my opinion recommended.

Unfortunately we were totally disappointed today. There were several places available with a sea view that had not been reserved, but we were not allowed to take them with a stroller and were instead placed in the farthest corner. After waiting for 10-15 minutes we left. Everyone around us was served, unfortunately we weren't. We didn't feel welcome with baby. Very unfortunate.

Recommended Greek restaurant on the outskirts of Duhnen, only a few dunes separate the restaurant from the beautiful beach. In the evening you have a wonderful view of the sunset from the large terrace and you can make yourself comfortable with good food and drinks. The selection of food is quite large and everyone should find something, especially since the prices are comparatively humane. The portions are sufficient even for good eaters and taste appealing. These good qualities mean that it is better to make a reservation if you want to eat out at peak times, otherwise you may have to wait a long time until something becomes available. We also liked that the well-stocked salad buffet is included with most dishes. Children also get their money's worth here, there are several menus for them to choose from, starting at €7.50 including a drink and an ice cream for dessert, which will also please parents. Overall, highly recommended, but you should note that there are hardly any parking spaces and it is better to combine your visit with a walk on the beautiful promenade, the restaurant is a few minutes behind the Ahoi Bad.

We are absolute fans of Greek cuisine and therefore often go to the “Greeks”. But we haven't eaten something so tasty for a long time. It was fantastic. We'll definitely come back.

I'm a bit torn. The food here is really tasty, but the overall ambience is more reminiscent of a large all-in hotel in Egypt. It was really incredibly loud, crowded and warm inside. We had previously reserved a table for 10 people. A positive thing to mention is that there are parking spaces in front of the restaurant. If you are there promptly, you can secure one. When we arrived at the restaurant, our place was first prepared so that there would be enough space for 10 people. The air conditioning, if there was one, wasn't working, it was unbearable heat. Our order was taken promptly and at the salad bar we were able to put together “a” side salad ourselves, with the corresponding waiting time in the queue for other guests. The food was brought to the table quickly; it tasted good and was plentiful. However, you had the impression of mass processing, as everything around you was constantly in turmoil and movement. On the one hand, I would actually bring the side salad to the guest directly before the actual main course, this would defuse the situation enormously, and on the other hand, quiet accompanying music would create a different atmosphere. So it has more of the character of a large kitchen... It's a shame...
