Poseidon in Cuxhaven

A must when I'm back in Cuxhaven!

The food was ok. Unfortunately without any whistle. For example, spices other than salt would be great. Overall, I found it quite uncomfortable in the dining room because of the hectic pace. The waiters were friendly but also very hectic.

The staff are very friendly and nice. The food came quite quickly. It was very tasty. It won't be the last time I've been there, I can only recommend the restaurant.

Very well located with parking right in front of the house. The service was super polite, there was an ouzo to welcome us, the food came quite quickly and tasted excellent and at the end there was an ouzo. We will be happy to come here again.

The best Greek in town. Everything is really right here. Friendly, attentive staff, special requests are always taken into account. Children are also welcome. You can't go wrong here with takeaway either! Hopefully it will continue like this for a long time!

Today I picked up a gyro plate from the lunch menu for our bricklayer. The food was tasty and plentiful enough for an artisan meal. That inspired me to come here again soon. I can really only recommend the restaurant.

The staff are not only friendly, but also incredibly attentive. Orders were taken and served extremely quickly – that’s what you want! Eat: The food was excellent. Everything was fresh, perfectly prepared and a real highlight in terms of taste. No matter whether it's a starter, main course or dessert - the quality is simply right here. Price-performance: The prices are absolutely fair and reasonable for what is on offer. Here you really get quality at a top price.

Leider können wir nur drei Sterne geben . Das Gyros war leider fettig und die Pommes sind auch wirklich nicht gut. Die gehören kross und nicht weich und blass . Vielleicht mal die Sorte wechseln die sind wirklich nicht gut . Ansonsten ein schönes Lokal.

Best Greek on site. Delicious food and friendly service. You should definitely make a reservation. There are not enough parking spaces for the many guests at the restaurant. You have to look out for your surroundings. One hundred percent recommendation.

I went to this restaurant for the first time on the recommendation of a family friend. And I have no regrets. It started with the very friendly reception at the entrance door and the allocation of seats. Even though I came alone and without a reservation right at lunchtime, I was assigned a nice seat. I was very impressed by the politeness/friendliness throughout my stay, especially since it was packed. I ate the "chicken breast fillet", which I really enjoyed. It was noticeable here that quality was paid attention to. I'll probably have to come back one or two times 😉. The photo is from February 28, 2025.

A great Greek restaurant, very stylishly decorated, incredibly nice, attentive staff without being intrusive. Menu with good selection. And the food is a poem, the meat is super tender, plenty of side dishes and just as delicious. Absolutely recommended.

It's always full there and that speaks for itself - but the staff still try to organize a table for spontaneous visits - the food is still great (we've been eating there on vacation for over 10 years) Large selection , nice staff and good service - price adjusted - I can only recommend it.

I once again had a fantastic meal at Poseidon Restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy and authentically Greek. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food was a delight - the fresh starters and the homemade calamari were particularly excellent. The portions are generous and the prices are great. I can recommend Poseidon Restaurant to anyone who loves Greek cuisine. I always enjoy coming back to eat here. Many thanks to the team!

Had dinner there with friends. Completely booked on a Monday evening, luckily reserved. Fast and friendly service that also responded to special requests, despite the house being full. The price is really good, other restaurants are really far above that. But the quality doesn't suffer from the price; everything here was freshly and deliciously prepared. There was also the obligatory ouzo before and after. There are enough parking spaces in the area, as well as our own parking space. We'll definitely be back because the selection still leaves a lot to choose from. 👍👍👍👍👍

We ate there on our vacation. Because of the great reviews here on Google, we decided we had to give it a try. And what can I say, it was absolutely worth it. Nice welcome, lots of space to eat and the food was simply a dream. I haven't eaten Greek like this in a very, very long time. There were large portions and the food was on point. It's really nice to sit there, the atmosphere is very cozy. The waiters are very attentive, but not intrusive. That evening we booked a table again for another day. A table reservation is absolutely recommended so that you can get a table! Keep it up, it was so nice with you!

Great Greek restaurant with plenty of choice on the menu. If you don't find anything there, you're not hungry Despite being relatively full, we were able to order quickly and didn't have to wait long. The food was very tasty and sensibly portioned. Really recommended, 5*****star deluxe

We ate there and it was really amazing. Great food at a great price, incredibly great service and everything around it was a dream. The whole store was fully booked and yet the food arrived after 20 minutes! We'll definitely be back!

Kommen schon seit Jahren in dieses Restaurant. Was uns hier immer wieder auffällt, dass es hier viele Stammgäste gibt. Was somit schon für sich spricht!! Das Essen ist immer wieder super. (Ich liebe den Galaktobureko!) Das Personal, ist immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir werden auch künftig, wenn wir wieder mal im Norden in der Nähe sind, im Poseidon vorbei schauen.

The restaurant exudes a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is attentive and helpful and friendly. We didn't have a reservation but were still allocated a table for two people. The food came pretty quickly. In terms of taste, we recommend it at any time, from the starter to the main course. We are at the campsite in Cuxhaven and when we are back there we will definitely eat there again. We wish the Poseidon team that they continue to be so attentive to their guests.

I've eaten there several times, the food is great. There is a lunch menu if you are just a little hungry. Otherwise a great selection of delicious food. The service is always super friendly and quick. There are very few parking spaces but there are enough in the area. Price/performance are top. Please keep it up.

7 people had dinner yesterday. Personal reception, were accompanied by the boss to the reserved table. Food was great as always, everyone got their food at the same time. Ate fish there for the first time, salmon perfect. Great service. Can highly recommend Poseidon. However, it is an advantage to book a table as the restaurant is busy.

While looking for a restaurant we came across the beautiful Poseidon. Despite a spontaneous visit, we got a table straight away. The welcome was very warm. We immediately felt comfortable. The service was extremely courteous and competent. The food was first class, you could really taste the love. Kudos goes to the owners of the restaurant. The lady and the gentleman were very nice and always gave us a good, familiar feeling. I can recommend this restaurant 100 percent. We'll be back! Thank you for the hospitality ❤️

We came here because of the many positive reviews and were not disappointed. Going to a Greek restaurant as a vegetarian always involves a certain amount of risk when it comes to the variety of dishes. Here, however, we were pleasantly surprised. There is a good vegetarian selection, both for starters and main courses. The service was extremely friendly and took care of our well-being despite the full restaurant. We ordered the Dimitra plate (see picture) as well as garlic bread and baked spaghetti. All three dishes convinced us 100% in terms of taste. I have rarely eaten such a good Metaxa sauce and the coleslaw is also uniquely delicious. The portion of the Dimitra plate could be a little larger, then it would be perfect. Overall, we were full. The price-performance ratio is right here. We would be happy to come back should we be in the region again. Highly recommended.
