Restaurant Yachtzimmer in Lübeck

It was one of the best restaurants, but unfortunately it is now permanently closed, which is a shame.

If you're in Lubeck and want to have a good fish dish (and not only Fischbrotchen ;)), then please go to Yachtzimmer. Everything we ordered was delicious and we really enjoyed our dinner time there with the very friendly staff.

Friendly welcome without reservation and have a nice stay.

We decided at the last minute to have dinner here and were pleased to find that there were tables available. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bread and ‘Schmalz’ (dripping) were brought to our table after we ordered, and our waiter helpfully advised us to add some salt. Our meals were served hot, freshly cooked and with a smile. I chose the local fried fish with fried potatoes and steamed veg, and my companion had the pork schnitzel. For dessert we shared a marzipan parfait - well, when in Lübeck you should have marzipan! Altogether we felt like welcome guests, and enjoyed a leisurely evening meal.

The restaurant is highly recommended. We've been there once for lunch and once just for a drink in the last few days. When we asked if we could sit outside, the table was set up accordingly, even though the weather didn't look like it at first (the sun came out quickly), including blankets in case it got cold. Service was very courteous both times. The food was very tasty, herring and fish of the day, and the marzipan parfait was also a highlight.

Wir haben im Yachtzimmer unseren Betriebsausflug ausklingen lassen (23 Personen). Es hat alles super geklappt. Von der Planung bis zur Ausführung. Das Essen war fantastisch und die Bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam. Von meinen Kollegen gab es nur positive Rückmeldungen. Vielen Dank für diesen gelungenen Abschluss unseres Tages.

It is one of the good options at Lübeck for good food with a lovely view. People are quite friendly, the restaurant indoors is cosy and of course you can enjoy it the best if you can get a table at the water side.

Bestes Fischrestaurant in Lübeck! Kein Touri-Nap; Kinderfreundlich; sehr aufmerksame Bedingung. Hier wurde Gastronomie noch gelernt!

Charmant établissement avec un personnel accueillant, places sur la terrasse et juste au bord du canal. Les “Offenkartlfel”, pommes de terre au four, sont bien servies (quoique les épinards froids dans mon cas, dommage). Je recommande !

Top Service und tolles Essen. Großer Aussenbereich wo man meistens auch einen tollen Platz bekommt. Ein Besuch lohnt sich. Auch für Familien mit Kinder gibt es immer etwas zu sehen.

Wir haben einmalig in der Lübecker Altstadt mit Blick auf die Salzspeicher in der Sonne draußen gesessen. Der Service war exzellent und super freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut. Spargel mit Lachs - kann ich nur empfehlen! Also 5 Sterne für alles!

Wir waren mit 20 Personen hier essen und es war hervorragend! Aufmerksame Bedienungen,Änderungen waren kein Problem und ein tolles Ambiente! Das Essen war sehr gut!!! Wenn wir nochmals in Lübeck sind, werden wir ganz bestimmt hier Essen gehen!

Wir sind kurz vor Küchenschluss auf das Restaurant Yachtzimmer gestoßen. Trotz dessen sind wir noch sehr gut bewirtet worden. Der Service war sehr liebevoll und freundlich und auch das Essen hat uns überzeugt und sehr gut geschmeckt.

Wir waren heute ohne Reservierung da und hatten um 18.00 Uhr Glück. Ein schöner Tisch in einer Nische war noch frei. Wir wurden freundlich , herzlich begrüßt. Als Vorspeise hatten wir 3 Scheiben Bruscetta mit 0,3l Landbier für EUR 11.00 beides lecker. Meine Frau anschließend Zanderfilet auf Pak Choi mit Curry-Kokossauce und Kartoffelröstitaler für 27,00 und ich den Lübecker Pannfisch mit lecker Senfsauce und Gemüse, Speckbratkartoffeln für 20,00. Senfsauce erhielt ich auf Nachfrage sofort extra noch dazu. Es war ein schöner runder Abend. Das Personal ist nett und aufmerksam und die Preise mehr als ok. Hier fühlt man sich wohl, hier sieht man sich wieder

Wir kamen als Wandergruppe mit 12 Personen und durften das Nebenzimmer (Patrizier Stube) nutzen, um unseren Wanderfilm gemeinsam anzuschauen. Unaufgefordert wurde uns eine Leinwand und ein Tisch/Wagen, auf dem wir unsere Technik aufbauen konnten, zur Verfügung gestellt. Ebenso ein Verlängerungskabel, das auch gleich vorsorglich mit einem Läufer abgedeckt wurde, damit niemand darüber fallen kann. Sehr umsichtig und hilfsbereit! Vor der Filmvorführung haben wir zu Abend gegessen. Und ausnahmslos alle waren absolut zufrieden! Immer wieder wurde das gute Essen gelobt und dass sich der etwas höhere Preis absolut lohnen würde. Zudem war das Servicepersonal überaus freundlich, kundenorientiert und wirklich geschultes Personal. Wir erlebten einen absolut zufriedenen und fröhlichen Abend und freuen uns jetzt schon, dass wir im nächsten Januar wiederkommen dürfen. Herzlichen Dank an das komplette Team. Besser hätte das Miteinander und auch das Essen und der Service nicht sein können! Es gibt für uns absolut nichts zu bemängeln!

Es ist sicherlich schön an der Trave zu sitzen und zu essen. Wenn Winter herrscht, ist es auch wunderbar drin zu sitzen. Das Licht ist besonders elegant konzipiert, es bringt Gäste und Gerichte zur Geltung. Die Küche ist klassisch mit einem Touch von Modernität. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr gute, regionale Küche mit ausgezeichneten Weißwein (Weißburgunder) zu einem angemessenen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. sehr angenehme, herzliche und kompetente Servicedame in besonderem Ambiente und Toplage, direkt an der Obertrave. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Unser Abendessen im Yachtzimmer, es gab leckeren Fisch, war wirklich hervorragend. Vom Empfang über das Servieren der Speisen bis hin zur Verabschiedung war alles sehr freundlich und professionell. Hier versteht man es, dem Gast eine exzellente Dienstleistung zu bieten. Das Servicepersonal war mehr als freundlich und aufmerksam. Dieses Restaurant ist absolut zu empfehlen!

Das Restaurant liegt fast direkt am Holstentor sehr zentral in unmittelbarer Travenähe und wird daher sicherlich auch häufig von Touristen frequentiert. Die Inneneinrichtung erfüllt auch entsprechende Klischees. Ich sage nicht, dass es sich um eine Touristenfalle handelt, aber Karte und Küche sind eher schlicht und unspektakulär. Vorweg kam ein kleiner Brotkorb mit zwei kleinen Dips für sieben Personen. Etwas sparsam bemessen, nun gut, dass soll das Urteil nicht trüben. Und ein Urteil traue ich mir durchaus zu, denn ich habe hier in Norddeutschland mit Sicherheit schon um die 70 Fischrestaurants besucht. Mangels großer Alternativen auf der kleinen Karte wählte ich dann Pannfisch, da kann man nicht viel verkehrt machen. Kann man doch. Der Fisch nicht wirklich schmackhaft und die Bratkartoffeln verdienen den Namen eher nicht. Sicherlich einer der schlechteren Pannfische, die man in Norddeutschland serviert bekommen kann. Meine Frau war mit ihrem Zanderfilet aber durchaus zufrieden, daher gemischter Eindruck. Auch beim Rest des Tisches war der Eindruck gespalten. Einige schienen mit ihrem Essen durchaus zufrieden, andere eher gleichmütig. Die Bedienungen waren geschäftsmäßig freundlich, aber durchaus aufmerksam, was Getränke etc. anging. Insgesamt aufgrund der Speisen aber eher befriedigend statt gut und wenn man sich etwas Besonderes gönnen möchte, gibt es sicherlich geeignetere Plätze zur Einkehr in Lübeck.

Restaurant mit leckerem Essen von guter Qualität. Kleine Speisekarte und immer noch 2 bis 3 Tagesempfehlungen. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Und wenn das Wetter mit Nacht, kann man wunderbar draußen sitzen.

It was nice to sit at terrace overlooking the water, in a good sunny weather. Note: it could get chilly after a while, it's quite windy. Friendly staff. We had white asparagus with pan fried fish fillets and schnitzel. Both dishes were delicious & tasty.

We enjoyed our visits at the Yachtzimmer very much. The Labskaus is home made and the other dishes we ate have been good too. See you next time again.

Prices a little above average but in exchange you can expect fresh products and good food quality. They don’t have a lot of things on the menu and that is already by itself a good sign😁. We went to this restaurant when it was 32 C degrees in Lubeck. This is a restaurant where the old Lubeckians go to eat. The decoration is light, airy and timeless. It was calm and cool, perfect for a hot day. The food is traditional German food. The menus were in English. I had plaice fried with bacon bits. In England plaice tend to be small fish. This plaice was large with plenty of meat. It was delicious. It was served with a small salad that came first and acted as a starter. The dish also came with boiled butter potatoes. They were perfectly cooked and somehow had absorbed some of the butter. My friend had a chicken Caesar salad, which was nice, but could have done with more dressing. This was a perfect respite from the heat and the crowds,

Pretty average seafood - but, coming from Japan and San Francisco, we’re used to really good seafood. The menu says herring, but we think they must have substituted cod for the herring. Herring is a popular fish in Japan and unless Pacific Ocean herring is so very different then I guarantee you, this is not herring. The crab soup was full of mini shrimp. Unless those are some kind of special crabs found only in Lubeck, then they should not advertise it as crab soup. Tasty, but not crab. The most positive note is that the potatoes were not overly salty. They were actually pretty good. Service, while not over the top, was adequate and quick.

Worst experience ever. Waitress marked up wrong order, screamed she’s right when the mistake was pointed, additional side salad never arrived and on top of all - food ( the right one that arrived after ages) was comletely tasteless mess! No taste, no spices nor salt at all. Last night two houses apart situated “Potter’s place” experience was perfect compared to this one!

This looks like a tourist trap, but it’s really not. Located just off the river and with a view of museum Holstentor. We ate the fish platter with cod, salmon and flounder - served with buttered potatoes and I can really recommend the fish here. Perfectly cooked and super tasty. Service is friendly and they helped a lot with a makeshift changing facility for changing our baby. Highly recommend this little gem. Ps. Don't be discarded by the interior or the clientele.

We arrived in Lubeck looking for a restaurant featuring fish- and we weren’t disappointed. Service was terrific ( attentive and helpful). With a Carafe of Rotspot red wine and a fish soup starter..... I knew I was off to a good start. Sea Bass was lovely and Char was unbelieveably delicious.
