Blockhütte Buntekuh in Lübeck

We ate there on January 1, 2026. The food was good, and the daily special was also tasty. It's not exactly cheap, but the price is definitely justified. The seating is quite pleasant. We'll definitely keep this restaurant in mind for our next visits to Lübeck.

Was one of the best restaurants, now unfortunately permanently closed, what a shame.

We were a party of four, including a dog, and had reserved a table. It was our second visit, and the restaurant has a new owner. We received a friendly welcome, and since it wasn't busy yet, we were able to choose our own table. Our drink order arrived quickly, and we opted for pickled pork with fried potatoes and remoulade, as well as the pollock fillet, the pike-perch fillet, and the mixed fish platter with fried potatoes. The food arrived relatively quickly and looked very appealing. The pickled pork was missing the remoulade; we had to ask for it twice before it finally arrived. The fish and pickled pork were delicious, but unfortunately, the portions were a bit too small for the price. The side dishes, especially the fried potatoes, were very small and could easily have been twice the size, as could the remoulade. We were used to larger portions from our first visit to the restaurant, especially considering the prices are on the higher end. For dessert I had tiramisu, but it had an unusual consistency that I'd never experienced before. When I got back to my hotel in Lübeck, I had stomach problems. We won't be coming back, and I doubt I can recommend the restaurant. What a shame.
