We ate at Fisch & Meer in Travemünde after our wedding ceremony – and it was simply perfect! 💍✨ From start to finish, everything was perfect: the food was outstanding, lovingly prepared, and of the highest quality. The service was warm, attentive, and always present. What was particularly nice was the sense of passion and professionalism that went into the venue – we and our guests felt completely at ease and appreciated. For us, it was an unforgettable day in a beautiful setting – exactly what you'd want after such a special day. A big thank you to the entire team – we'll definitely be back! 😊

The portions are really large and delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The selection of dishes and fish dishes is very extensive. I'm not a fish eater, but I was very satisfied with the roast beef! I was also very pleasantly surprised by the side salad; it was truly impressive and fresh and delicious!

We both had tarte flambée and beer. Both were delicious! I especially recommend the Mediterranean tarte flambée with fig mustard. The staff are attentive and quick. The ambiance is exceptional. Highly recommended!

We came here on vacation on a whim. I have to say, we're absolutely thrilled. I had tomato soup as a starter. It was fresh, deliciously tomatoey with whipped cream, very good. 👍 My husband's main course was the Fish & Sea platter; the salmon, like everything else, was perfect. We booked at short notice for 10 people and were even late. It wasn't a problem. The food is good to very good and freshly prepared. The price and quality are right. The ambiance is very nice.

We came here quite by chance and were thrilled. The service was very friendly and we had a great table in the middle of the restaurant. The food was delicious. We had feta cheese and bruschetta for starters and various types of slaw for the main course, and everything was absolutely delicious. We would definitely come back and recommend eating here to everyone.

It's a shame... the building looks very nice from the outside. The restaurant has a terrace at the front and back. Plenty of seating. The service staff weren't dressed neatly and were constantly arguing. The technology was on the fritz. The food was okay, but the decor was very poor. We had a fish platter for two for €65, jacket potato with turkey strips, and spaghetti carbonara. We paid €114 for everything, including a drink each. As I said, it was okay, but not outstanding. Room for improvement.

The team is incredibly friendly and attentive – you immediately feel welcome, as if you were visiting friends. The food was simply fantastic! Freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and presented with so much love – you can taste the quality and passion for good food. Whether inside in the cozy restaurant or outside in the fresh air – both are inviting places to linger. A truly family-friendly place where we felt completely at home. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to our next visit!

The fish was great. The dill and mustard sauce wasn't our thing, and the vegetables were swimming in oil. Otherwise, a very nice restaurant with an interesting history.

The food lived up to expectations, the service was attentive, and the ambiance was rather mediocre. There was no other restaurant open on Priwall, the plaice was only on the online menu, and when I was asked if I wanted another Flensburger (which I insisted on), the waitress came back five minutes later and said they were unfortunately out of Flensburger 🙈.

We sat outside and our orders were taken quickly. The food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious and the portions were quite large! The prices were quite reasonable compared to many other restaurants!

The Fish & Sea Restaurant is located in the "Alte Vogtei" (Old Vogtei), perfectly combining modernity with history. I'm always delighted when old, historic buildings are given new life. The restaurant offers plenty of seating, both inside and outside, so everyone can find the perfect spot for their personal taste. Since it was an extremely hot day, and we'd already had an extra portion of soft serve ice cream 😋, this time we only had a nice, cold draft pilsner. But I'm pretty sure the local food is also worth seeing and tasting. So, in conclusion, I can say that a visit is absolutely recommended and practically a MUST when exploring Travemünde!

We stopped in for dinner on our last day of vacation. The building and its furnishings are a real gem, and the history is explained very well in the menu. Inside there are many details that make a visit worthwhile. As for the food: we had the fish platter for two people, originally €64 but on offer for €59.90, which came beautifully presented. The fried potatoes were OK, unfortunately not crispy as we like them. The fish, every single one, was delicious, and the sauces that went with it were very flavorful. With Aperol, two white wine spritzers, and two coffees, we paid just under €90, which is reasonable. We would come again.

The fish platter for two was excellent, enough for three if you order a mixed salad first (the sauce was slightly sweet). The wine selection was limited. Service was quick and efficient. Atmosphere: The winding property creates small spaces with a personal touch.

We've been very satisfied every year for the past four years, but today we were very dissatisfied. The schnitzel was wobbly and greasy, the fries were still raw, the service was inattentive and then they demanded a tip. On top of that, we had a reserved table on the very edge of the train. Please improve again!

We were there for the first time with five people. The ambiance is very nicely designed. The appetizer platter for two was absolutely enough for four people and was very tasty. The main course was Baltic plaice, which was large and thick, juicy, and fried to a crispy consistency. The fries that came with it were very salty, which was fine for me/us, so we didn't need to add any more seasoning, but I'm sure some guests would mind that. The vegetables in the fish soup were unfortunately still frozen.

We were there spontaneously a few years ago, and this time we made a reservation for the evening of our arrival. Even with a dog, it wasn't a problem; she's well-behaved and usually goes unnoticed despite her 42 kg weight. The reservation, service, and attentiveness were excellent, thank you very much! The food was also excellent; we had the fish platter for two again and were not only full but also truly delighted.

We don't understand the many positive reviews. This is misleading!! If the food isn't good, who benefits from the great ambience and the fast, friendly and personable service (young woman with blonde hair and a great figure)? We both had the pollack fillet with fried potatoes for 21 euros. Half of the fried potatoes were burnt and the sauce from the pollock fillet was just decoration (no taste). The fish was okay, but not good. We won't be coming back.

We stopped here on a trip from Grömitz to Travemünde and were thrilled 🤩 The Alte Vogtei simply blew us away as soon as we entered the rooms. The ambience is overwhelming, starting with the impressive staircase and then several very different rooms to eat in. We had already decided in advance on the highlight of the menu. and were not disappointed, on the contrary: The Alte Vogtei platter for 2 people Various fish fillets (1x salmon fillet, 1x pollock fillet, 1x cod fillet, 1x plaice fillet, 1x redfish fillet, 1x zander fillet with Dijon mustard sauce, remoulade sauce, shrimps in garlic-olive oil, fried potatoes and colorful salad) was a real highlight of our vacation. Everything was to the point, the fish wasn't fried to death and the vegetables and sauces were also very convincing We will definitely eat here again on our next Baltic Sea holiday. Another tip for a little stroll through the house: there is art to see and down by the entrance there is a wonderful little tea and kebab shop where we bought a few gifts (cups/mugs) for the lovely people at home (and for ourselves).

Now I'll speak up. The food was okay, but the service was terrible. We arrived and the staff were sitting outside, laughing loudly, smoking, and disinterested. They had a completely uninterested attitude. Then we were hit by this disgusting, stinking odor. We were completely sick. We just wanted to leave. How can you run a restaurant with such a stench?! Disgusting. Not recommended!

The fish restaurant "Fisch und Meer - Alte Vogtei Travemünde" offers a really nice ambience that invites you to linger. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, which made the visit pleasant. The fish soup is definitely a highlight and can be highly recommended. The plaice was also impressively large and tasted convincing. However, there were also some disappointments. Unfortunately, the fish plates were already quite cold when they were served, and the sauce was clearly too sparingly dosed - more would definitely have been better. It was also a shame that the fish was past the cooking point and therefore seemed quite dry. Overall, a restaurant with potential, but one that could still improve a bit in terms of consistency and temperature of the dishes. It is still worth a visit for a cozy evening in a beautiful atmosphere.

We had made a reservation for two people and had already said on the phone that we would like to eat the duck from the special menu. This was noted and I also reassured myself over the phone. We then drove 25 km and arrived on time, only to be told by the waiter that the last duck had gone to a guest 5 minutes ago. I don't understand how anyone can be so incompetent. Communication between kitchen and service doesn't seem to work.

We had lunch here on October 29, 2024. The restaurant shares the house with a tea shop and a gallery, and is therefore spread across different areas of the house. We sat on the ground floor in a small separate room with 5 tables. Everything is rustic and tastefully decorated. The service was very quick and super friendly. The food is delicious, although not cheap. A fish platter for 2 people costs €64.90, but it is more than worth the price. The baked vegetables and the fried potatoes are heartily seasoned and very tasty. The fish is just rolled in flour and fried. Because no/hardly any salt was used here, you can taste the original, typical taste of every type of fish. The Viennese style schnitzel is also delicious. The portions are more than large enough. Nobody gets up from the table hungry. The only drawback... the women's toilet was broken and the only toilet in the changing room had to be used. Accordingly, it kept piling up. Nevertheless, we can only recommend the restaurant!!
