Die Atmosphäre und der Service waren sehr angenehm. Das Essen war durchschnittlich.

Das Essen war lecker. Allerdings war in der Pastasoße etwas (zu viel) Sahne. Ansonsten war der Service gut und die Mitarbeiter freundlich. Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert!

Sehr lecker sollte man sich mal gönnen

Ich war am Wochenende hier essen und leider insgesamt enttäuscht. Auf meine freundliche Nachfrage nach veganen Optionen reagierte die Bedienung patzig und wenig hilfsbereit. Es hieß, es gäbe nur Salat – obwohl auf der Karte durchaus Gerichte stehen, die potenziell vegan sein könnten, z.B Bruschetta. Klare Auskünfte dazu gab es nicht. Auch bei der Frage nach Hafermilch kam keine vernünftige Antwort, sondern eher genervtes Verhalten. So fühlt man sich als Gast einfach nicht willkommen. Der Salat war zwar in Ordnung, aber es ist wirklich schwach, dass es keinerlei Bemühungen gibt, einfache vegane Alternativen anzubieten. Heutzutage sollte das absolut selbstverständlich sein. Insgesamt leider unfreundlicher Service und wenig zeitgemäß.

Wir hatten im März einen Tisch bestellt für 7 Personen zum Geburtstag feiern. Reservierung wurde bestätigt. Am 08.04 habe ich mittags eine Mail bekommen ( die ich leider erst um 17:00 Uhr gelesen habe) das unsere Reservierung für den Tag um 18:00 Uhr storniert wurde, wegen Ostern geschlossen… ohne Worte . Das ist so unglaublich. Leider werden wir dort nie wieder reservieren. Jetzt hat man per Mail reagiert und geschrieben, das man einen Tag nach Ostern schließen musste . Mittwoch war definitiv der zweite Tag nach Ostern. Der Schreibfehler das tut mir nie leid in der Mail ist bezeichnend. Und dann zu fragen ob wir noch schön gefeiert haben in einem anderen Restaurant macht es nicht besser .

Ich bin extrem enttäuscht von diesem Restaurant. Meine Reservierung wurde einfach zwei Stunden vor dem geplanten Besuch abgesagt – und das ohne eine vernünftige Begründung oder irgendein Entgegenkommen. Gerade wenn man sich auf einen Abend freut und vielleicht sogar etwas Besonderes geplant hat, ist so ein Verhalten absolut inakzeptabel. Kurzfristig noch eine Alternative zu finden, war dadurch natürlich sehr schwierig. Der Umgang mit Gästen wirkt hier völlig unprofessionell und wenig respektvoll. Eine rechtzeitige Absage oder zumindest eine ernstgemeinte Entschuldigung hätte das Ganze vielleicht etwas abgemildert – aber so bleibt einfach nur Frust. Für mich ist klar: Auf dieses Restaurant ist kein Verlass. Ich werde hier definitiv nicht mehr reservieren und kann es auch niemandem empfehlen, der Wert auf Zuverlässigkeit legt.

Die Bedienung hört schlecht zu, und man muss lange auf Sie warten.

Wow, eines der besten Steaks das ich jemals essen durfte! Auch die anderen Gerichte waren super. Großes Respekt an die Küche. Auch der Service ist Extraklasse und individuell!

Wir waren immer sehr gerne Gäste im Wessels. Egal ob zu zweit oder in größeren Gruppen. Der Service und das Essen waren immer Perfekt. Seit dem Wechsel von der Leitung und dem Team läuft es leider gar nicht mehr gut. Wir warteten 20 min auf 2 Getränke. Erst nach Nachfrage kamen diese dann bei uns an. Bei der Bestellung vom Essen wusste der Kellner viele Dinge entweder gar nicht oder er änderte seine Aussagen hin und her. Er verstand gar nicht so richtig was gemeint war. Wir waren 9 Leute und haben sehr lange warten müssen. Als wir das Essen bekamen fehlte immer noch ein Gericht. 10 min musste die Person von uns warten während wir schon fast fertig waren und als das Essen dann kam, hat man schnell gemerkt, dass es einfach nicht zubereitet wurden ist und dann noch schnell schnell nachgeholt wurden ist. Die Pommes waren im vergleich zu den anderen schneeweiß und weich. Die anderen Gerichte waren mehrmals falsch (zb. Kartoffeln statt Pommes oder falsche Saucen über den Schnitzeln). Zusätzlich waren die Gerichte teilweise kalt, vorallem die Soßen auf den Schnitzeln. Der Laden war so gut wie leer, somit herrschte auch kein Stress. Das machte alles noch unverständlicher. Es kamen außerdem keine Kellner die uns zwischendurch mal gefragt hat, ob wir eventuell noch einen Wunsch haben oder was trinken möchten. Wir werden das Wessels wohl erstmal nicht wieder besuchen… Schade eigentlich.

Es wurde für uns spontan Platz gemacht. Das Essen war lecker und es wurde auf die Bedürfnisse der Kinder sehr flexibel eingegangen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat sogar beim Foto machen geholfen. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Abend.

Unser Besuch war leider eher enttäuschend. Obwohl das Essen geschmacklich in Ordnung war, gab es deutliche Schwächen – das Fleisch ließ sich zum Beispiel kaum schneiden. Besonders negativ war die extrem lange Wartezeit: Wir haben rund 1 Stunde und 15 Minuten auf unser Essen gewartet. Das Restaurant war zwar komplett ausgebucht, wirkte dafür aber klar unterbesetzt. Zusätzlich wurde eine komplette Portion vergessen und kam erst nach zweimaligem Nachfragen, was bei dieser Wartezeit besonders ärgerlich war. An sich ein schönes Restaurant, aber durch die Anzahl der Gäste sehr laut. Zumindest eine Kellnerin fiel am Ende positiv auf, da sie sich bemüht zeigte, die Situation etwas zu entschärfen. Insgesamt jedoch ein Besuch mit viel Verbesserungsbedarf, vor allem in Organisation und Service.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Wessels und etwas verunsichert aufgrund der teils schlechten Rezensionen. Allerdings können wir diese absolut nicht bestätigen. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und ist sofort auf Wünsche eingegangen. Das Essen ging sehr schnell, war toll angerichtet und geschmacklich wirklich gut. Die Schnitzel sind frisch zubereitet und die Portionsgrößen ordentlich! Also wir kommen gerne wieder. :-)

Sind mit einer Gruppe zum Kohlessen da gewesen. Die Organisatoren haben im Vorfeld gefragt ob es eine Kohlkarte gibt, was bestätigt worden ist. Es gab keine Kohlkarte aber auf Nachfrage habe von 14 Personen 5 Grünkohl essen bekommen. Insgesamt haben wir 90 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet was inakzeptabel ist. Das Wessels ist nicht mehr was es einmal war, Portionen kleiner, Personal wirkt nicht mehr so professionell.

Leider entwickelt sich Wessels zum Nachteil: Service hat stark nachgelassen (gibt es denn keine einheitlichere Kleidung anstatt private Freizeitklamotten?), Essen so la-la (war schon mal viel besser), Bier immer gut (nur sollte nicht so viel zu Bruch gehen). Im Wintergarten oft zugig im Winter!

Das Essen war super und auch der Service war sehr nett. Leider kam ständig ein Fremdes Kind an unseren Tisch, welches scheinbar zum Personal des Restaurant gehört. Dieses viel uns zunehmend negativ auf, nachdem es uns Strohhalme ins Glas steckte oder über den Tisch griff. Wir verstehen dass es ein Kind ist und dies selbst noch nicht so versteht oder kontrollieren kann. Allerdings wären hier die Eltern in der Verantwortung das zu unterbinden. Wir würden trotzdem gerne wiederkommen.

Wenn man lange Lust hat auf sein Essen zu warten ist man hier total richtig. Fragt man freundlich die unfreundliche Kellnerin nach einer Stunde wann denn die Vorspeise kommt bekommt man nur eine patzige Antwort. Schade !

Essen der Wahnsinn 😌 Ambiente wunderschön. Wir waren jetzt nur die letzten Male von dem sehr jungen Personal verwirrt, eigentlich war hier immer eine sehr nette Bedienung gewesen, die auch sehr erfahren war.

Great German restaurant. Friendly and hardworking service. I especially appreciate the patience of the staff, especially with some truly disrespectful guests. They remained incredibly friendly, and you wouldn't have guessed that the guests were being difficult. The ambiance is great, but unfortunately very loud. There's also a heated conservatory. It has that classic German pub atmosphere, which I love! The food was a solid 8 out of 10. Our special requests were readily accommodated. The fried potatoes were good, though some were a bit burnt. Next time, we'll definitely mention it. It didn't bother us too much this time. What I didn't like, however, was that there seemed to be residue left on the meat from cleaning the grill. Blackish-gray streaks on the grilled food. We enjoyed the Béarnaise sauce. The carpaccio appetizer was okay, but not Italian enough for our taste. It was simply beef fillet, Parmesan, arugula, and perhaps some brown mushrooms. Romaine lettuce, etc., is too much of a good thing.

We gathered with my husband and our German cousins for a family feast that bridged borders and generations, and from the first clink of beer steins, everyone was hooked. I went bold with the shrimp and eggs—yeah, it sounds like an odd couple at first glance, but trust me, it was a revelation! A load of tiny, sweet shrimp (how do they even peel those little guys?!) nestled in a sunny pool of creamy scrambled eggs, flecked with fresh herbs and a whisper of lemon—rich yet light, weirdly wonderful, and gone in record time. The rest of the table? Pure schnitzel nirvana. Luckily, they still exist: these little oases with delicious food and truly excellent service 👌😃 Restaurant Wessels is definitely one of them, and we really enjoyed it.

There were three of us dining. Everything was really nice at first. Unfortunately, our main course took over an hour and a half. We asked several times until the waiter admitted that the order slip was being thrown away after the starter. We were then offered a free drink, but we'd never waited that long before. Therefore, this time we had a bad experience. The food was delicious, but after such a long wait, we weren't hungry.

In short, that was nothing... We were there with several people. Waited 80!!!! minutes for our food. Then we even forgot a meal. The restaurant wasn't even at capacity. A table behind us got fed up; after switching their food twice, they lost their appetite and left. Speaking of leaving: Another table wasn't served either, so the older people left. The icing on the cake was a comment from the waiter. We ordered more drinks, but (unsurprisingly) something was forgotten again. We politely reminded them of the forgotten drink. The response was: "Yes, coming right away... MAYBE!" That was the last time...

Unfortunately, the quality of the steaks and grilled dishes wasn't up to scratch. The meat was dry, and the cooking depth wasn't right. The very high prices generally don't match the quality of the food. Things used to be different, which is a shame.

A truly fantastic restaurant with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. The main course, in particular, was excellently prepared and tasted just right. My only minor criticism: the appetizers were served at the same time as the main course – this could have been better coordinated. Otherwise, everything was excellent and the service very friendly. The restaurant's interior looks good and modern. However, only up to the edge of this strange tent. This strange tent, which is attached at the back, looks very run-down. We reserved a table there shortly before Christmas. We were given a table inside, but right on the edge of this strange tent. It was freezing cold and very drafty in there, and the puny heater didn't help. We were given another table after we complained. However, I don't understand why guests were even given such a table "out there," even though the restaurant was pretty empty! The waitresses were so heavily made up and dressed up that you'd think they'd fallen off a makeup pot or were trying to act like clowns. They behaved accordingly arrogant and conceited. Of course, they only did their job (which is beneath them) half-heartedly. I wonder why they hire such people?! I was really looking forward to a suitable Christmas dish (just before Christmas). However, I was disappointed several times in this regard as well! Various dishes I asked for were strangely sold out, even though it was only 6 p.m. and they were advertising it heavily! The meat was still almost bloody! The red cabbage tasted very delicious at first, but that was it! After I sent the meat back because it was still raw, I got my food back. However, it was even more inedible because the red cabbage suddenly became extremely spicy, and the meat was now a shoe sole! Even the special Christmas drinks were more rubbish than anything else and heavily watered down (which was noticeable)! I can do that much better at home on my own! You don't need to go to a restaurant for that! The only food that tasted relatively good was the appetizer (bruschetta). However, it was recommended for two people, and we only got three small pieces!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! Furthermore, the wait times for a drink alone were absolutely abysmal/far too long, and the wait for a meal was even longer, even though there were actually only about 6 tables occupied in the entire restaurant, including us, and at least 3 waitresses milling around!!!!! Not recommended at all! Furthermore, all the food and drinks were way overpriced, which is a real disgrace! My recommendation to the restaurant: close your doors rather than subject your guests to this!

Yes, a very cozy atmosphere with extremely friendly service. The food is à la carte. Of course, you won't like everything; it's a matter of taste.

Two of us were there for the first time. We waited an hour for food. I had a really simple dish: Wiener Schnitzel, fried potatoes, two fried eggs, and salad. The salad came first and tasted watery. Then came the PINOCCHIO PLATE AT SNACK LEVEL. On the top left of the plate was ONE lettuce leaf!? The few fried potatoes, the leftovers from the pan, greasy?! The schnitzel was good, it was the animal's fault, not the cook. It could have been tossed in butter, that was the cook's fault, not the animal's! The fried eggs reflected the wait and could have been left in the pan earlier! There are also restaurants that sprinkle things on their fried eggs, like salt. It didn't just look sad, it tasted sad too! My colleague's comment: Dude, what did you get? It was good that the waiter was open to criticism when paying. It was disappointing for BOTH of us. The restaurant was busy, maybe that was the reason. I would still give the place a second chance.

We ate here for the first time today and will definitely be back. We had a dog with us, and he was allowed into the restaurant without any problems. Switching tables was no problem due to the rain. For dinner, we had rump steak and the daily special, beef roulade, which was absolutely delicious. Kudos to the kitchen. We come from a restaurant background ourselves, and I have to say the roulade was better than ours 😀

We were recently here for our graduating class's annual reunion. We were assigned the large covered terrace for the approximately 50 attendees. It was a warm, dry evening, so it was very pleasant. Had it rained, it would probably have been uncomfortable, at least for those sitting at the edge of the canopy. Despite the large number of guests, the service did a good job of allocating food and drinks. The wait times were okay, but especially later in the evening, it would have been nice for someone to stop by more often and ask if we needed anything else. Overall, however, it was a successful event with good food and good service. The atmosphere was very pleasant, although the cars driving nearby on Leester Straße were a bit annoying.

An all-around great restaurant! The food is consistently delicious – everything I've tried so far has been excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambiance is also beautiful and inviting – you just feel at home. I enjoy going there again and again and also like to give gift vouchers because I'm sure that anyone who eats here will have a completely positive experience.

A recommendation?? Absolutely yes! The food was good and the service friendly. A cozy restaurant.

Wessel's best was completely wrong, maybe the schnitzel tastes better there.

The food was okay, but an hour after ordering, we were still sitting there waiting. Our request for drinks took a while. The schnitzels were good, but the potatoes were cooked to varying degrees. The asparagus was partly too soft, partly woody. One member of our group ordered asparagus with his grilled pan instead of mushrooms. There was an extra charge for that (totally fine), but the asparagus and grilled pan arrived 15 minutes later... The ambiance is really nice, but overall, we probably won't go there again. If I book a table at 7 p.m., everyone is there on time, and we eat around 8:45 p.m., that's way too late for me personally.

Delicious food. Very friendly, English speaking, staff and good atmosphere. There is a covered outdoor terrace. The schnitzels are highly recommended! They also have a children's menu including homemade chicken nuggets. Easy to drive to, about 5 minutes from the A1. Price-quality ratio was great as far as we were concerned.

A great German restaurant with first class steaks and schnitzels! The meat was cooked perfectly – juicy, tender and full of flavor. The Wiener Schnitzel and the rump steak were particularly enjoyable. The side dishes were fresh and lovingly prepared. Yesterday we had Wessel's food, as always, without any faults.

We were there at lunchtime. Very nice service. Everyone enjoyed it. The vegetables that were served as a side dish were a bit very hard. A little less aldente would have been better. Those present tried it and agreed. Otherwise everything was great. A schnapps on the house at the end. Great! And for those who didn't want it, there was something sweet. Adorable. I found it very comfortable. It was my first time there and I would love to come back.

Unfortunately my food was only served lukewarm. It was very full and for that reason not everyone could be provided with a menu... that was the statement from the service staff. It also took a long time for us to order accounts. When we asked, we were told that we would be there straight away. But first there are other people who get a starter.

Picked up food last night.. the starter platter for 2 people was a poem.. Tiramisu dessert as well.. really great! We will definitely use it again...

We spent a great evening in a pleasant atmosphere. A menu with plenty of choice. The food was A1. Good portions, great in terms of appearance and taste. Special requests were no problem. The service is attentive and totally friendly. Price/performance is also okay. I can highly recommend Wessels Restaurant.

We spontaneously decided to go out. The restaurant was well attended but there was no waiting time for tables to be allocated. Furnishings very comfortable. Adequate time between placing and receiving food. Food was very good, price performance was reasonable. Gladly again.

Went to Wessels last night and had a lovely evening with great friends and great food. The starter plate for 2 was super enough for 4 people. The main course came quickly and was great!!! Great service, although it was said when making the reservation that there could be longer waiting times due to several large events, it was pretty quick. Hats off to what the girls are doing with the number of visitors. Only the volume wasn't quite as good when the store is so full. But otherwise everything was great and we would love to come back.

Based on the reviews and tips from the hotel, delicious food and a nice atmosphere with friendly service. Snitzel was delicious, with the fried potatoes. Top! Not really a dessert menu, but choices that are presented at the table, and our dessert choices were also top. Will definitely eat here again.

Price-performance ratio is simply not right. There are much better restaurants in Bremen in the same price range. Accordingly, we won't be coming back. The restaurant itself is quite nice. The bruschetta was honestly the worst bruschetta I have ever eaten. A lot of ready-made products were used and the service was not particularly well organized.

The veal schnitzel was very good and plentiful. The salad with the meal was delicious. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

Very good food and the service was very friendly and helpful.

We were guests at Bistro Wessels a few weeks ago. From our point of view, the atmosphere in the store suffered greatly and the food was unfortunately very cold. The service has also deteriorated. We were served late, the young waitress apparently cared more about her appearance than serving us (doing our hair, retouching our lips) Unfortunately we no longer like the service

I was in Wessels with my friends about 4 weeks ago. Actually a great restaurant from the past with a great atmosphere. However, our visit disappointed us; the food took a long time and some of it was even cold. The staff looks like they came straight from the plastic surgeon and is not focused on providing good service. We were really disappointed with how Wessels developed

Wir waren einigen Wochen zuvor Gäste im Bistro Wessels. Die Stimmung im Laden hat aus unserer Sicht stark gelitten, das Essen war in Ordnung. Unsere negative Erinnerung war ein Moment, wo eine sehr junge Kellnerin ihre Haare gerichtet hat und ihre augenscheinlich operierten Lippen nachgezogen hat, anstatt uns die Getränke zu servieren. In unserer Wahrnehmung sind die jungen Kellnerinnen optisch nicht passend für den Charme des Lokales (Schönheitsoperationen sichtbar, freizügige Bekleidung). Fokus des Service nicht mehr auf den Gast gelegt. wir haben ewig gewartet bis wir bedient wurden. Schade
