A truly fantastic restaurant with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. The main course, in particular, was excellently prepared and tasted just right. My only minor criticism: the appetizers were served at the same time as the main course – this could have been better coordinated. Otherwise, everything was excellent and the service very friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

So, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress is wearing pink and a cap, is unfriendly, and inattentive. The food is okay... pay a little more, get a little less...

The restaurant's interior looks good and modern. However, only up to the edge of this strange tent. This strange tent, which is attached at the back, looks very run-down. We reserved a table there shortly before Christmas. We were given a table inside, but right on the edge of this strange tent. It was freezing cold and very drafty in there, and the puny heater didn't help. We were given another table after we complained. However, I don't understand why guests were even given such a table "out there," even though the restaurant was pretty empty! The waitresses were so heavily made up and dressed up that you'd think they'd fallen off a makeup pot or were trying to act like clowns. They behaved accordingly arrogant and conceited. Of course, they only did their job (which is beneath them) half-heartedly. I wonder why they hire such people?! I was really looking forward to a suitable Christmas dish (just before Christmas). However, I was disappointed several times in this regard as well! Various dishes I asked for were strangely sold out, even though it was only 6 p.m. and they were advertising it heavily! The meat was still almost bloody! The red cabbage tasted very delicious at first, but that was it! After I sent the meat back because it was still raw, I got my food back. However, it was even more inedible because the red cabbage suddenly became extremely spicy, and the meat was now a shoe sole! Even the special Christmas drinks were more rubbish than anything else and heavily watered down (which was noticeable)! I can do that much better at home on my own! You don't need to go to a restaurant for that! The only food that tasted relatively good was the appetizer (bruschetta). However, it was recommended for two people, and we only got three small pieces!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! Furthermore, the wait times for a drink alone were absolutely abysmal/far too long, and the wait for a meal was even longer, even though there were actually only about 6 tables occupied in the entire restaurant, including us, and at least 3 waitresses milling around!!!!! Not recommended at all! Furthermore, all the food and drinks were way overpriced, which is a real disgrace! My recommendation to the restaurant: close your doors rather than subject your guests to this!

Yes, a very cozy atmosphere with extremely friendly service. The food is à la carte. Of course, you won't like everything; it's a matter of taste.

Two of us were there for the first time. We waited an hour for food. I had a really simple dish: Wiener Schnitzel, fried potatoes, two fried eggs, and salad. The salad came first and tasted watery. Then came the PINOCCHIO PLATE AT SNACK LEVEL. On the top left of the plate was ONE lettuce leaf!? The few fried potatoes, the leftovers from the pan, greasy?! The schnitzel was good, it was the animal's fault, not the cook. It could have been tossed in butter, that was the cook's fault, not the animal's! The fried eggs reflected the wait and could have been left in the pan earlier! There are also restaurants that sprinkle things on their fried eggs, like salt. It didn't just look sad, it tasted sad too! My colleague's comment: Dude, what did you get? It was good that the waiter was open to criticism when paying. It was disappointing for BOTH of us. The restaurant was busy, maybe that was the reason. I would still give the place a second chance.

We're absolutely thrilled. The food is top-notch, and the service goes out of its way to ensure everything is just right. We'd love to come back, thank you very much.

We ate here for the first time today and will definitely be back. We had a dog with us, and he was allowed into the restaurant without any problems. Switching tables was no problem due to the rain. For dinner, we had rump steak and the daily special, beef roulade, which was absolutely delicious. Kudos to the kitchen. We come from a restaurant background ourselves, and I have to say the roulade was better than ours 😀

We were recently here for our graduating class's annual reunion. We were assigned the large covered terrace for the approximately 50 attendees. It was a warm, dry evening, so it was very pleasant. Had it rained, it would probably have been uncomfortable, at least for those sitting at the edge of the canopy. Despite the large number of guests, the service did a good job of allocating food and drinks. The wait times were okay, but especially later in the evening, it would have been nice for someone to stop by more often and ask if we needed anything else. Overall, however, it was a successful event with good food and good service. The atmosphere was very pleasant, although the cars driving nearby on Leester Straße were a bit annoying.

An all-around great restaurant! The food is consistently delicious – everything I've tried so far has been excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambiance is also beautiful and inviting – you just feel at home. I enjoy going there again and again and also like to give gift vouchers because I'm sure that anyone who eats here will have a completely positive experience.

A recommendation?? Absolutely yes! The food was good and the service friendly. A cozy restaurant.

Wessel's best was completely wrong, maybe the schnitzel tastes better there.

The food was okay, but an hour after ordering, we were still sitting there waiting. Our request for drinks took a while. The schnitzels were good, but the potatoes were cooked to varying degrees. The asparagus was partly too soft, partly woody. One member of our group ordered asparagus with his grilled pan instead of mushrooms. There was an extra charge for that (totally fine), but the asparagus and grilled pan arrived 15 minutes later... The ambiance is really nice, but overall, we probably won't go there again. If I book a table at 7 p.m., everyone is there on time, and we eat around 8:45 p.m., that's way too late for me personally.

Delicious food. Very friendly, English speaking, staff and good atmosphere. There is a covered outdoor terrace. The schnitzels are highly recommended! They also have a children's menu including homemade chicken nuggets. Easy to drive to, about 5 minutes from the A1. Price-quality ratio was great as far as we were concerned.

We love this gastronomy and really enjoy being here. Our son always eats pasta, but today he had schnitzel for the first time. I find it inappropriate to charge 1 euro each for ketchup and mayonnaise on a children's plate. For me, this is a relevant part of a children's meal. In addition, there has always been a nightcap after the meal, but unfortunately that was canceled today. Not just with us, also with the neighboring tables. Oh yes, we were there on Good Friday too. We had to wait almost 1.5 hours for our food, the service wasn't in a good mood either, which I can understand to a certain extent on a public holiday... It's a shame that our otherwise good experience has been disappointed for the second time.

A great German restaurant with first class steaks and schnitzels! The meat was cooked perfectly – juicy, tender and full of flavor. The Wiener Schnitzel and the rump steak were particularly enjoyable. The side dishes were fresh and lovingly prepared. Plus a cozy atmosphere and attentive, friendly service – you simply feel at home here. Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy German cuisine. We'd love to come back!

Yesterday we had Wessel's food, as always, without any faults.

We were there at lunchtime. Very nice service. Everyone enjoyed it. The vegetables that were served as a side dish were a bit very hard. A little less aldente would have been better. Those present tried it and agreed. Otherwise everything was great. A schnapps on the house at the end. Great! And for those who didn't want it, there was something sweet. Adorable. I found it very comfortable. It was my first time there and I would love to come back.

Unfortunately my food was only served lukewarm. It was very full and for that reason not everyone could be provided with a menu... that was the statement from the service staff. It also took a long time for us to order accounts. When we asked, we were told that we would be there straight away. But first there are other people who get a starter.

Picked up food last night.. the starter platter for 2 people was a poem.. Tiramisu dessert as well.. really great! We will definitely use it again...

We spent a great evening in a pleasant atmosphere. A menu with plenty of choice. The food was A1. Good portions, great in terms of appearance and taste. Special requests were no problem. The service is attentive and totally friendly. Price/performance is also okay. I can highly recommend Wessels Restaurant.

We spontaneously decided to go out. The restaurant was well attended but there was no waiting time for tables to be allocated. Furnishings very comfortable. Adequate time between placing and receiving food. Food was very good, price performance was reasonable. Gladly again.

There were two of us and we had a nice place in the winter garden. The duck with red cabbage and the beef fillet with Gorgonzola sauce were great. Can highly recommend the Wessels in Leeste 👌

Went to Wessels last night and had a lovely evening with great friends and great food. The starter plate for 2 was super enough for 4 people. The main course came quickly and was great!!! Great service, although it was said when making the reservation that there could be longer waiting times due to several large events, it was pretty quick. Hats off to what the girls are doing with the number of visitors. Only the volume wasn't quite as good when the store is so full. But otherwise everything was great and we would love to come back.

Based on the reviews and tips from the hotel, delicious food and a nice atmosphere with friendly service. Snitzel was delicious, with the fried potatoes. Top! Not really a dessert menu, but choices that are presented at the table, and our dessert choices were also top. Will definitely eat here again.

Good food, nice service and great ambience. There are also plenty of parking spaces. Small suggestion for improvement: The range of vegetarian dishes could be more extensive.

Price-performance ratio is simply not right. There are much better restaurants in Bremen in the same price range. Accordingly, we won't be coming back. The restaurant itself is quite nice. The bruschetta was honestly the worst bruschetta I have ever eaten. A lot of ready-made products were used and the service was not particularly well organized.

The veal schnitzel was very good and plentiful. The salad with the meal was delicious. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

We were guests at Bistro Wessels a few weeks ago. From our point of view, the atmosphere in the store suffered greatly and the food was unfortunately very cold. The service has also deteriorated. Wir waren einigen Wochen zuvor Gäste im Bistro Wessels. Die Stimmung im Laden hat aus unserer Sicht stark gelitten, das Essen war in Ordnung. Unsere negative Erinnerung war ein Moment, wo eine sehr junge Kellnerin ihre Haare gerichtet hat und ihre augenscheinlich operierten Lippen nachgezogen hat, anstatt uns die Getränke zu servieren. In unserer Wahrnehmung sind die jungen Kellnerinnen optisch nicht passend für den Charme des Lokales (Schönheitsoperationen sichtbar, freizügige Bekleidung). Fokus des Service nicht mehr auf den Gast gelegt. wir haben ewig gewartet bis wir bedient wurden. Schade

I was in Wessels with my friends about 4 weeks ago. Actually a great restaurant from the past with a great atmosphere. However, our visit disappointed us; the food took a long time and some of it was even cold. The staff looks like they came straight from the plastic surgeon and is not focused on providing good service. We were really disappointed with how Wessels developed

The restaurant is very nice and friendly, the winter garden is quickly closed in bad weather thanks to the sliding roof and is great when the sun is shining. The service is very happy and attentive.

I actually found the staff very, very unfriendly. I think the staff should be respectful towards the guests, which was absolutely not the case here! You feel totally uncomfortable because the staff seems very condescending and rude.

Really catastrophe. The staff doesn't work at all. Some of the food wasn't cooked properly. I haven't seen anything this bad in a long time. The next day stomach pain. A clear no from me 👎🏼.

We were there with relatives who didn't know the place. Everyone was enthusiastic, very tasty food that was also well prepared, the salad was also very tasty. The service was very nice and asked if everything was OK. It couldn't be better.

The drinks and food we ordered were served very quickly. Unfortunately the chicken breast had the consistency of a rubber sole. After a complaint, the same piece was fried again. However, the result remained the same. No apology and no attempt to make amends at all. In good restaurants, the new piece of meat is simply served. The chef had the opportunity and was supposed to test the complained meat. The meat has this consistency and taste after you thaw it and then freeze it again

Unfortunately Wessels couldn't convince me yesterday. My salad for a whopping 20 EUR was poor, with lots of iceberg lettuce, three cucumber slices and two tomato slices, but with fried mushrooms and shrimp. Visually beautifully served, taste and quality max. 2 stars. The price-performance ratio wasn't right. The other meals in our group were tasty and looked good, especially the herring with fried potatoes. Service was friendly. Since the temperatures were cool in the evening, we got cold and that made it uncomfortable. It was significantly warmer inside.

From the cozy to the stylish ambience, everyone will find their perfect spot here. Great, well-thought-out, side-opening, I'll call it a "winter garden", where the acoustics don't make you think you're sitting in a hall, which is probably due to the equally well-thought-out floor covering. You are greeted very warmly and charmingly and you don't get the impression that you might be a nuisance, quite the opposite. When we brought the menu quickly, we were told with a smile on our face that the chef had run out of eggs 🥳 which of course made more than just a smile and something like that can/may happen on a Whit Monday evening. After the wine question, we were finally told not just the usual “Pino nonsense”, we were pleasantly surprised once again. As a starter we had bruschetta and beef carpaccio, although the latter was forgotten to be ordered in the kitchen, which was visibly unpleasant for the nice waitress and that can happen sometimes. This little mishap was immediately made up for with a request for a drink on the house, which we would not have expected or assumed, and there was even a glass of Pinot Gris, which certainly shouldn't be taken for granted given today's normal prices, a " Lüdder” would have been sufficient but not absolutely necessary. Of course the beef came, which you can/should serve with extra balsamic vinegar and vinegar, there are cruets on the table, but now complaining is on a slightly higher level, you can also ask because nothing gets cold and We weren't really on the run either😉. The asparagus we ordered with the usual side dishes, followed by a specially ordered, sensational 250g rump steak, medium fried upon request, exceeded our expectations by far, and after ordering the main courses, a steak knife was also stocked up. That's actually almost impossible I would like to mention that my rump steak “house style” was topped with bearnaise and the crispy, thick fries, again with delicious, whole fried mushrooms and herb butter (which was not on the menu), as well as the crisp, fresh salad of course. who wasn't drowned in the dressing. We gave ourselves a dessert. But we were able to see the sweets on offer, which were written on a blackboard and brought to the neighboring table. They were great. When we asked to pay, we were offered another nightcap, which rounded off the evening and the visit to “Wessels” perfectly. Conclusion - since I always see restaurant visits from a gastronomic perspective, which can be stressful for those around me, sorry about that, from my personal point of view there is absolutely nothing to complain about here, small mishaps or the like have simply been dealt with in a relaxed manner , yet charming manner immediately catapulted you back in time and the plates served, especially the steaks, were almost rarity. Lots of love and a thousand thanks for what was promised to be not the first and only evening with you, you packed us 😉. Lg and keep it up….

We had dinner with 4 people this evening. Unfortunately, today there was somehow “the worm in it”. The food was very tasty, but the service was hijacked in several areas today. We ordered our food. Unfortunately, THE ONE appetizer that was supposed to be there was forgotten, but when asked, it came. The main course came right three times, once a combination of what was ordered and the main course that was forgotten. When the real main course came, everyone else was already finished. At the neighboring tables we were asked several times whether everything was okay or something was wrong. There was no meeting at our place, we felt like we had to force ourselves in order to order drinks. We hope it was just a bad day and the service will be better next time.

As always, great service and very tasty food.

Celebrating my birthday there was 100% the right choice. We were very well entertained with delicious food, which I had selected and ordered in advance. So no food from the menu. The atmosphere there is very cozy. Just go and try it out!

We had a communion celebration in Wessels today. Everything was perfect. Very nice, courteous owner, delicious food, great, attentive service staff! We had the winter garden to ourselves, great privacy, but the service staff was always checking to make sure nothing was missing. All of the guests were thrilled and would definitely recommend Wessels. In short: great value for money!
