Restaurant Vilott in Friedrichroda

Top food, there were 10 of us and everyone was very satisfied. Whether burger or steak everything is perfect. Service and ambience are great. Is probably the best address for good food in Friedrichroda.

We can highly recommend this restaurant. The prices are a bit on the high side (at least for the area). But that would be normal in a big city. The food is absolutely perfect and top-notch. We had beef, which was very good and also visually appealing. There are enough dips and side dishes. The beer is also tasty (we had the Bavarian one), and the wine (white) is excellent. The service is also good; it takes a while, that's true, but when there is only one server and you see her serving the entire restaurant all by herself, it's great and "hats off" - high praise. The ambience is also nice and modern. I would recommend making a reservation before you visit. We are already looking forward to next time.

Had a delicious meal here with customers. The Vilott burger with sweet potatoes was delicious and served by very friendly staff. Gladly again.

An insider tip and hidden pearl in Friedrichroda. High quality food and a very nice atmosphere. No “mass feeding” like in some other restaurants, but the perfect culinary rounding off of a day of vacation. We will come back 👍🏼

We had lunch in the restaurant with 20 people and were completely impressed. The food was very tasty, freshly prepared and the portions were generous - no one went hungry. The friendly and attentive service took excellent care of us and created a pleasant atmosphere. We would be happy to come back and can only recommend this restaurant for a successful lunch. My daughter and I went to the pumpkin glowing event in Friedrichroda on October 12, 2024, where the Vilott restaurant ran a snack stand. Since she has celiac disease and is on a strict gluten-free diet, I asked about the ingredients in the mushroom pan on offer. We were assured by several staff members that no flour containing gluten was used in the food. After my daughter ate some of the mushrooms, we were informed that the mushrooms did contain gluten. I asked why such false information was given when we were so sure before. The staff then became angry and very unobjective. It has been argued that we shouldn't have ourselves like that. No trace of insight or an honest apology. Such ignorance and lack of understanding have never happened to us before. There was also no declaration of the ingredients anywhere. We will avoid the restaurant in the future and will not recommend it to others.

Lukraak hier komen eten. Mijn vrouw koos voor de kipfilet die ze iets minder vond, ik koos voor het varkensvlees en dat was een schot in de roos. Wachttijden correct. Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Correcte prijs. Simpel, maar mooi verzorgd

This fantastic restaurant Vilot awaits you in the small town of Friedrichroda. It is very modern and adapted to the spirit of the times, but you feel as if you were back in Vienna and being served food at the royal court. The starter platters were excellent, the main course, a real Wienerschnitzel, nice, breaded and very juicy, was heartily delicious!!! We also had a nice red wine. With a label with a cute bunny on it. The wine was also very good for the cheap bottle price! I don't normally write reviews this long, but I'm so excited and want to give you this review; Please keep it up and keep improving, then we will definitely come back and tell all our friends?!! Very good Absolutely recommended food

Unfortunately some standard drinks were not available, which is a shame. The 600 g dry aged RibEye was very well seasoned but not completely cooked through on the inside. I still got full but would have expected perfection given the specialization of the restaurant here.

We were warmly welcomed at the Vilott and got a place even without a reservation. The selection of food and drinks is relatively small, but there is something for every taste (I'm generally a fan of small menus anyway!). Vegetarians can also choose between a few dishes. The service was good, but there is still room for improvement. We had to wait a relatively long time before we could order our food and also to pay. We had two burgers that were tasty but unfortunately almost cold. There is also a side dish for each. And here we were unfortunately very disappointed. The side dishes are very small for their price and the Coleslow was also “heightened” with a normal salad. I find that almost outrageous. The fries (which were probably not homemade) for €4 (!) didn't even come with any sauce. In principle, I like the store and the concept behind it. For me, however, the price-performance ratio is not right. The main courses (in our case burgers) were large, plentiful and freshly topped and generally appealing. I understand it all the less when you look at the relatives. Saving on cheap side dishes begins (How much do cheap fries and ketchup cost when shopping?!).

For me, this is still the top culinary address in the Gotha district: freshly prepared food, super tender meat cooked to perfection, attractively presented. In addition, the service yesterday was outstanding: friendly, quick, calm and with an eye for empty glasses. Tip top! If you added an apple strudel to your dessert menu in the winter, the overall package would be more than perfect.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 16 Personen. Die Reservierung und Absprache vorab lief komplikationslos und nett. Am Abend super nette junge freundliche Bedingung. Schönes Ambiente. Alle Speisen war frisch zubereitet, schön und modern angerichtet. Es hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Bedienung kam immer wieder nett fragen, ob alles passt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ganz lieben Dank für den tollen Abend mit ausgezeichnetem Essen (Tagestipp: Rinderspieß mit Grillgemüse und Kartoffelgratin, sowie Lachsfilet vom Grill mit Grillgemüse und Süßkartoffelpommes) und sympathisch fröhlichem Service 😁 Und Danke für den Tipp "Petit Elefant" für den 2. Abend!

Wir waren das erste Mal hier. Es gibt eine kleine Karte mit einer sehr guten Auswahl. Ob mit Fleisch oder vegetarisch. Unser Essen war wirklich super lecker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hat oft zwischendurch nachgefragt ob alles in Ordnung sei und wir noch Wünsche hätten Das fanden wir prima. Gerade auch was Getränke angeht. Wir kommen eindeutig wieder !!!

Ein Besuch im Vilott ist ein Muss, wenn man in Friedrichroda sehr gut essen und genießen möchte. Die Speisen sind köstlich und das Ambiente sehr angenehm. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich.

Ein kleines aber feines Restaurant mit überschaubarem Angebot in der Karte. Im Inneren nett eingerichtet und sauber. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Meine Frau hatte Lachs mit Linguini, Spinat und Cherrytomaten. Eine sehr leckere Kombination, die Zutaten frisch und der Lachs fein und noch saftig. Alle Zutaten gut gewürzt und zueinander passend. Die Portion groß und zum sattwerden. Mein 300g Rumpsteak wie gewünscht auf den Punkt gegart, die Bohnen noch mit ein wenig Biss und die Pommes frisch, lecker und kross. Zum Abschluss hatten wir zwei leckere Cocktails. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis top. Da wir nur über das Wochenende da waren und das Vilott bei unserem Besuch von Sonntag bis Dienstag Ruhetage hatte, konnten wir leider kein zweites Mal hingehen, was wir sonst sicherlich gemacht hätten. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung.

4 Frauen, die die ganze Zeit schnattern wollen erstmal bedient werden. Das hat hier super geklappt. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt, an den Tisch begleitet und hatten sowohl Getränke als auch Speisen zügig nach der Bestellung. Die Speisen waren durchweg sehr geschmackvoll angerichtet und ebenso schmackhaft. Die Karte ist nicht riesig aber es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Gern wieder, dann testen wir den Mittwoch-Bürgertag

Wir waren bereits das zweite Mal im Vilott. Das erste Mal Mittwoch zum Burgertag und Freitags ala Carte. Das Essen im Vilott kann man nur empfehlen. Super angerichtet, das Auge isst ja bekanntlich mit. Der Geschmack steht dem in nichts nach. Sehr schmackhaft, gut gewürzt und auf den Punkt gegart. Dem Koch kann man nur wünschen, weiter so und den Anspruch den er an die Speisen hat, behalten.

Grossartiges Essen. Liebevoll angerichtet. Schneller Service. Tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und auf jeden Fall ein besonderes Lokal. Ich kann das Vilott nur jedem empfehlen! Macht weiter so!

We had drinks and snack for late lunch. the staff were very helpful and the coffee, wine and food were very good

We set out for a late dinner. The restaurant recommended by the hotel was no longer serving dinner but they suggested Restaurant Vilott. Some chairs were already turned up on the tables. We asked if they were still serving dinner and they gladly invited us in. They made us feel quite welcome. The menu offered a nice mix of entrees including vegetarian. I love the German food but it's nice to have a variety of cuisines. Our group of four offered both traditional German and other entrees and everyone was pleased. The portions were quite generous and really tasty!
