Excellent food in a rustic setting. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended. Simply top-notch value for money.

The dining room is very bleak and looks like a train station waiting room. The conditions were nice, but my hands were unkempt and my fingernails were bitten off. 🤮 Which is unacceptable for a waitress. The food was good and plentiful. The wait time was okay at 35 minutes.

Simple but good food. The staff is exceptionally friendly and cheerful. If you don't need gourmet cuisine, this is the place for you.

We had wild boar goulash and the vegetable rice dish. The food was very good and stands out from the crowd. The ambiance is rather so-so. It's a bit sparsely decorated, but the food makes up for it. The venison was some of the best I've eaten in a long time! The prices are also below average for the area.

I have rarely eaten so badly. The vegetables were black and burnt, the homemade quark was too salty. The tonic water only tastes of aspartame and cyclamate. The waitress was friendly, but stands in front of the door and smokes while the guests wait.

The food was very tasty. I had turkey strips with crunchy vegetables...the vegetables were great, but unfortunately, I was looking for the meat...there were maybe 4/5 strips on the plate. The staff unfortunately didn't answer my question about where the meat was, which was a shame. My husband gave me a piece of his giant schnitzel so I could fill myself up. He, in turn, would give his food 5 stars.

Last year we were thrilled. Unfortunately, this time we were very disappointed with the food.

After we made it over the mountain between Finsterbergen and Friedrichroda last Saturday, we spontaneously went to the Boulevard restaurant on the recommendation of Google and without a reservation. We were warmly welcomed and served delicious wild rice with lots of fresh vegetables as well as boiled beef in horseradish sauce with homemade Thuringian dumplings. As mentioned, delicious, in generous portions - highly recommended! Afterwards we had a chat with the innkeeper. The only bad thing: In the end, the yeast toilet the size of a plate didn't fit anymore and we had to go back over the mountain...

Oh, that was nice. I felt like I had been transported back a bit to my GDR childhood. Absolutely recommended. I was there with my son (11). He was also super excited. Somehow by chance we ended up in the “Boulevard”. Thank God. A wonderfully warm welcome and service, absolutely great food like your mother's (the salad was so lovingly prepared) and a very good price And with the rustic charm of bygone times. We'll definitely be back! Thanks. Keep it up!

We were here 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. This time totally disappointed. Croquettes and fish fingers totally burnt. You weren't allowed to look at schnitzel underneath. Totally black border. Too bad. We won't come again.

Man soll sich nicht vom Äußeren täuschen lassen....es sieht nicht sehr einladend aus, aber das Personal ist suuuuper nett und das Essen ist spitze. Wir hatten Wildschweingulasch und Bacon-Schnitzel. Das Gulasch war zart, hatte einen tollen Geschmack und die Soße war sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Die Klöße haben wie selbstgemacht geschmeckt und das Rotkraut war auch gut abgeschmeckt. Das Schnitzel war handpaniert und zart, mit toller Kruste und die Bratkartoffeln sehr lecker.

We ate here on the recommendation of friends. We didn't have a reservation, but that wasn't a problem. Our order was taken quickly and was at the table really quickly. As a starter there was the really tasty seasoned meat. The main courses were the beef roulades with red cabbage and dumplings and the wild boar goulash, also with red cabbage and dumplings. The food was tasty, but the portions could have been a little larger. The waitresses were super nice and quick. The restaurant itself is simply furnished and a bit old, but clean and tidy.

We stayed at the inn two evenings in a row and were always served in a friendly and courteous manner. The service was quick and all of the dishes were thoroughly recommended. We tried 10 different foods and everyone in our group was completely satisfied. At the end the innkeeper even came and thanked us by giving us a round of schnapps. It doesn't get any better. We were there after our civil wedding and I have to say: thank you! The food was fresh and super tasty (all guests announced that they would come again). The table decorations were made with a lot of love and skill. The only thing that has surpassed it is the great owner couple. Friendly, funny and authentic.

The food was very tasty and the service was very nice. But the most important thing for us is that dogs are welcome. Which is unfortunately not the case everywhere.

Service was super nice and quick too. The atmosphere was rather rustic, which wasn't my taste. At times it smelled of cigarette smoke. Had schnitzel with croquettes. The croquettes were still cold inside. The large salad consisted mostly of sauerkraut and beans, which I personally didn't like. Wouldn't go there again.

Rather inconspicuous inn viewed from the outside. The interior is functional and rustic with lots of wood. Good German cuisine and delicious Urstoff dark monastery. A tasty beer from the Rhön. Wir hatten nicht reserviert, es war zum Abend ziemlich voll, wir haben trotzdem noch einen Tisch bekommen. Die Kellnerin war sehr nett, die Getränke kamen schnell u unser Wunsch, uns einen Nachtisch zu teilen, war kein Problem. Leider wurde nicht die versprochene Seniorenportion sondern eine große Portion gebracht u auch berechnet. Beide Essen haben geschmeckt. Wir können das Restaurant gerne weiterempfehlen.

Essen solide, schnell und gut, aber Preise für die Region schon echt gehoben. Schnitzel Jäger Art mit Beilage aber ohne Salat finde ich 16,90 schon teuer. Die Einrichtung störte mich eher weniger, als die Tatsache, dass ich der einzige Gast abends war, das ist irgendwie gruselig. Und die Bedienung war mehr mit Rauchen draußen beschäftigt. Und die Not der Gastronomen ist schon irgendwie erkennbar, wenn man gesagt bekommt, man soll morgen wieder kommen...

Eten was heerlijk, steak au four smaakte prima. Ook de schnitzel was lekker. Grote porties tegen erg schappelijke prijzen. Sfeer in het etablissement is wat minder. Komt voor mij omdat het ook een kroeg is. Ook moet je er contant betalen wat niet meer van deze tijd is.

Gutes und preiswertes Bier. Schmackhafte Wildgerichte. Mit einem Besuch kann man nichts falsch machen.

Nachdem wir eine Weile erfolglos in Friedrichsroda versucht hatten, eine geöffnete Lokalität zum späteren Mittagessen zu finden, landeten wir hier - zugegeben eher mangels Alternativen. Kartenzahlung war nicht möglich, darauf wurde aber mit einem sehr freundlichen Zettel gleich beim Betreten des Restaurants hingewiesen und es gab auch 2 Banken in unmittelbarer Entfernung, also kein Problem. Das Ambiente ist sehr rustikal, aber sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der Service ist aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, die Karte umfangreich. Man hat klar feststellen können, dass alle Gerichte selbst gekocht waren und auf den Einsatz von Fertigprodukten verzichtet wurde, dafür ebenfalls ein großes Lob. Portionen waren angemessen, Preise fair. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert!

Bei mir gab es ein leckeres Schnitzel zu Essen in einer schönen familiären Atmosphäre! Auch bei dem zweiten Besuch war alles super und es werden bestimmt noch weitere folgen :)

Haben uns heute Mal ein Mittagessen gegönnt in dieser Lokalität...Nach einem kurzen Anlauf klappte von der Bestellung bis zum Essen und der Nachspeise .....Die Karte ist durchdacht ,die Gerichte großzügig und schmackhaft...Schnitzel mit Bacon ist zu empfehlen...das Fischgericht sorgte für nur 4 Sterne die Stühle und Tische draussen stehen etwas eng , ansonsten eine Empfehlung Wert

Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Essen und Preis/Leistung super. Koche selber gern und bin immer genervt von Restaurants die schlechte Küche zu hohen Preisen verkaufen. Hier absolut nicht der Fall. Ich würde hier jederzeit wieder essen gehen, da hier das Essen im Mittelpunkt steht und nicht das Schickimicki drumherrum. Ehrliche sehr gute Küche. Lasst Euch nicht von der etwas einfachen Atmosphäre abschrecken, sonnst verpasst Ihr das was Ihr sucht, nämlich ein sehr sehr gutes Essen.

Sehr leckeres Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen und große Portionen. Dazu eine sehr nette Bedienung. Ein bisschen Warten muss man zwar, aber das ist ja auch kein Schnellimbiss. Das Einzige was ich schade finde ist, dass es keine Vita Cola oder Rote/Grüne Brause gibt. Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Die Portionen sind reichlich und die Mitarbeiter:innen sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider stimmt die Karte nicht mehr, die ihr bei Fotos abgegeben ist.

Wir waren vor mehreren Jahren schon einmal hier essen. Da war das Essen sehr gut und lecker. Diesmal war es leider nicht so gut. So eine schlechte Roulade habe ich noch nie gegessen. Die Schnitzel waren in Ordnung. Die Bezahlung war nur in Bar möglich, so dass ich erst zum Geldautomat gehen mußte.

Schönes Restaurant mit sehr guten Service und kurzen Wartezeiten auf das Essen. Mann sollte nach Möglichkeit für Abend Tisch reservieren, ist sehr beliebt. Kann man ohne Einschränkung empfehlen.

Wir durften uns im Rahmen einer Geburtstagsfeier durch das Buffett schlemmen - die verschiedenen Gerichte waren einfach großartig und ließen absolut keine Wünsche offen! Auch der Service war top - vielen Dank für einen gelungenen Abend! Wir kommen gerne wieder ;-)

Im Restaurant "BOULEVARD" habe ich schon sehr oft 'a la carte gegessen und es war immer super. Vor Kurzem ( 26.02. ) war ich eingeladen zum Geburtstag einer guten Freundin. Das Buffet, mit seinen leckeren thüringer Köstlichkeiten war vielfältig und super lecker. Abschließend gab es noch ein leckeres Dessert. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich kann nur sagen, es lohnt sich und ist durchaus empfehlenswert. Vielen lieben Dank an das ganze Boulevard Team. Ich komme wieder! Gruß von einem Gast.
