Restaurant Über Tage in Essen

We wanted to have breakfast there today - on a Saturday. Lt. The restaurant is open until 11 a.m. on Saturdays. We were there shortly before 10 a.m. and there was... - NOTHING. Apparently breakfast would have been completely cleared away 10 hours ago. No smell of coffee, no people, no apology. Just a tired shrug. SHAME ☹️

Beautiful location, delicious food, friendly service

The restaurant retains the character and atmosphere of the old building without appearing dated. The service was very accommodating. Our dog was also allowed to come along and was not forgotten. The kitchen interprets down-to-earth home cooking in a completely new way and really pleasantly surprised us.

Ochsenbäcken bestellt, bekommen 3 Scheiben irgend ein Rindfleisch aber keine Ochsebäcken (fast so groß wie ein Kotelett),der Kartoffelstampf war geschmacklos die Bohnen Ok der Speck sehr salzig, sowie Bandnudeln mit Pfifferlingen., Bandnudeln Ok, Pfifferlinge geschmacklos,die Sahnesoße war geschmacklos! Nach der Beanstandung wurden wir sehr direkt nach der Rechnung gefragt! Es wahr ein sehr schlechtes Erlebnis das wir nicht nochmal erleben möchten!

We were here for dinner yesterday with four people. Very nice atmosphere in the old mine. Food and service were excellent. A big compliment goes to the trainees who mastered their first shift in service so well. Attentive, forward-looking and with the kind of politeness one can look for these days. Thumbs up and keep it up.

We really enjoyed the food and also liked the selection on the menu. Unfortunately, the service was not that good and not very professional. The ambience could use more materials to improve the acoustics.

I ate here once again and once again got up full and satisfied. 🤤 The ambience in this industrial monument is inimitable, simply great! Nice with the candlesticks in the windows. The service staff were nice and accommodating. And the food: simply delicious! Yesterday there were a few new dishes on the menu and the daily specials were also worth a try. In general, the menu is not overly large, but offers a selection that has something for every taste and that I have rarely encountered. Where can you get really good savoy cabbage rolls? Since I wasn't that hungry and didn't want to miss the delicious lava cakes with pumpkin seed parfait, I opted for a delicious vegetarian lasagne with spinach and sheep's cheese on tomato sugo with fresh! Cocktail tomatoes decided. The shared starter also tasted like more: a real fluffy, tasty aioli (no yogurt mix stuff), nice pickled sheep's cheese, olives. mmhhh. Prices absolutely ok. A chef who cooks properly has to get his money 😉 I'm already looking forward to the next time. You can treat yourself to that 😄

Äußerst leckeres Essen, sehr aufmerksame und nette Bedienung, sehr schneller Service. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Solide gutbürgerliche Küche im besten Sinne! Besonders empfehlenswert sind dabei auch die vereinzelten polnischen Gerichte in die sich auf der Karte finden. Das alles in einer großen, historisch-charmanten großen Halle einer typischen ehemaligen Zeche. Noch dazu preiswert, kurzum, sehr empfehlenswert! Der Service ist zwar manchmal nicht der schnellste, dafür insgesamt besonders freundlich.

Im Rahmen einer Hochzeitsfeier wurden wir hier bewirtet. Ausser dass die Gnocchi eher als Schupfnudeln durchgehen würden, gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Wenn man keinen Nerv hat noch lange nach einem Abendessen zu suchen, bietet es sich an im Hotel selber noch einen Happen zu sich zu nehmen. Das Essen war für den Preis in Ordnung. Gestaltung der Karte / Benennung der Gerichte mit Bergwerks-Bezug ist sehr liebevoll gemacht. Service ist nett und aufmerksam.

Durch eine Rezension in unserer Tageszeitung wurden wir auf das Restaurant „Über Tage“ aufmerksam und schnell war ein Tisch reserviert. Das Restaurant befindet sich im Hotel „Alte Lohnhalle“, in der denkmalgeschützten Zeche Bonifacius. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und über den Abend vom jungen Kellner aufmerksam und sehr nett begleitet. Die Karte ist recht übersichtlich. Uns ist es jedoch lieber eine kleine Karte vorzufinden und dafür frische Speisen zu bekommen. Alle gewählten Gerichte waren top. Überaus lecker, frisch und bestens abgeschmeckt. So schmeckt das Ruhrgebiet! Die Küche hat uns wirklich überzeugt und wir kommen gern wieder. Der Wein zum Essen war gut, die Auswahl an offenen Weiner könnte allerdings etwas größer sein.

Das Ambiente im Teil der historischen Zeche Bonifacius ist einmalig. Hier trifft Ruhrgiets-Charme auf Denkmal. Robuste Holzsstühle/ -tische runden das Ambiente ab. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Tradionelle Ruhrgebietsgerichte und moderne Klassiker, hier findet jeder etwas für sich. Vom Zechenschnitzel über den Klassiker "Himmel und Äd" ist alles vertreten. Der Service war freundlich und nicht aufdringlich. Man wurde rasch bedient und die offenen Weine sind sehr zu empfehlen.
