Restaurant Tsomi in Berlin

There were four of us there. Our bill was almost €200, quite expensive I would say. And it was also quite loud in the restaurant, lots of other guests. But... the Georgian cuisine was perfect, everything was very tasty, delicious and freshly made. So 4 out of 5. I can recommend this restaurant. Would I come again? YES.

I went to Tsomi after multiple recommendations, and even the staff proudly claimed they have the best khinkali in Berlin. Well, after trying them, I doubt they've tasted the best khinkali themselves. Additionally, the "Khachapuri Ajarian style" (with egg yolk) was more like a basic cheap Margherita pizza. The place is also extremely overpriced, and they can't even offer a glass of water — is this some kind of high-limit service or just capitalism at its worst?

Noisy, boring food, overpriced, no cash payment possible

The food was incredibly tasty and the service was super friendly. We combined a starter with a main course, simply fantastic. Plus a homemade lemonade that tasted like strawberry jam. Truly a treat for the taste buds!

The portions are really tasty and big! Don't miss the hinkley with the shrimp, just amazing! The best Georgian wine I ever drank And don't forget to leave room for the delicious desserts instead! We came here with high expectations from other recommendations, and I will honestly say, it was even better than expected. The shrimp khinkali and with lamb were both amazing, even though they were very different taste profiles. Would 10/10 recommend for people to come hungry because you will leave happy.

Best Georgian food I have ever tried in town. It is a bit expensive, however, it is totally worth it. I love the traditional Khachapuri and Medok (honey cake). It is just delicious.

I have been a guest at Tsomi several times. The service is fine, the ambience in the front area is appealing. To eat: the filled Khachapuri dumplings e.g. B. with porcini mushrooms and potatoes, but also with minced lamb are very tasty. However, I think the dishes are a bit overpriced.

It was my first time trying the Georgian food, the taste was really amazing:) The restaurant ambient was really cool If you are willing to try different foods definitely you should try:)

Tips should NOT be mandatory. The lowest option you could choose was 10%. (There was probably a button with "No tip" or "Custom amount", but I did not see it. The food is delicious, but there are other Georgian restaurants with food just as great. I will not return.

Drinking water forbidden! My wife asked for a glass of tap water to take some medication. She was denied that. Simply unbelievable! Not only illegal, but also incredibly unfriendly! What inhumane management!

Overall food is very good. Dessert was not fresh made. One of the waiters is rude. That is why 1 star.

Tsomi is lovely. The food is delicious - would order everything again in a heartbeat! the atmosphere is homey, it’s a very comfortable experience all around.

The restaurant is ok, but the tables are very close together. This in turn leads to a level of tension all around that does not allow for a normal conversation. There was a constant pull from the door as soon as it was opened. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit. The TelAviv plate - everything is delicious but even with a lot of imagination I can't explain the price of over €20. I won't come back.

The food is high quality and tastes very good. The prices are very high for the portions. It is difficult to have a conversation because of the high volume. The staff is friendly, but they only exchange a few words with you. In addition, the entire table is cleared even though people are still eating.

The restaurant is way too hyped, the prices for the dishes are way too expensive and the staff is rather inflexible and conceited. There are a lot better choices in Berlin if you want to eat Georgian food.

I first visited with my sister, and we had an incredible experience. I returned yesterday to celebrate my birthday, and once again, the experience was just as amazing. One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin :)

Overall, it was nice! But I detracted a star for two reasons: price and gruff waiter The quality of the food is nice, but definitely overpriced. I imagine it's due to the rent they must pay to have a restaurant in this location. Because the dishes are relatively simple. Again, well-made and tasty, but not worth the price. Also, I asked for a glass of tap water at the very beginning and was gruffly told that "they dont do that here." I cannot imagine why not, since it's at no cost to them and not a health hazard. So it felt like it's a way to force me to pay for water, which I then had to do. And I also had every intention of additionally ordering a glass of wine (which I did). So i wasnt trying to con them out of money, I was just really thirsty and wanted normal tap water. I find it quite dishonest to refuse to serve a glass of tap water. And the entire exchange with the waiter was strange. He made assumptions and odd remarks, overall seemed like I was somehow annoying him with my request for water. I've served in fine dining, I know that you dont have to treat customers this way. So that's also why 4-stars. In summary, tasty food but one waiter is a bit rude/odd and the prices are quite high.

It's my first time eating Georgian food and I really liked it. Their pasta and meat are uniquely delicious.

We had a very tasty and lovely dinner at Tsomi with our team. The food (Supra menu) was very tasty and the service was very quick and attentive. There is a deduction for the volume in the ambience section. It echoes in the restaurant.

Getting a good seat here is a total gamble. You might land in the gorgeous, well-lit front area, or you could be banished to the back, which feels like a fluorescent-lit storage room someone slapped a table into. It’s ugly, uncomfortable, and downright depressing. The food didn’t help—it was below average at best. At least my server was nice, which is more than I can say for the rest of the experience.

This is not a Georgian restaurant! No information about the dishes, Georgian is not spoken, the atmosphere is not Georgian. The Chatjapuris are strangely divided: open and closed?! In Georgia the chadjapuris have their own names! They tasted accordingly, too much cheese doesn't necessarily make the chadjapuri tasty! This is a wannabe Georgian restaurant, never again!

The food is fantastic. I didn't think it was so nice that we were complimented after 2 hours...it's common practice in many restaurants these days, but I still don't think it's nice. Therefore a star deduction.

The food tasted excellent. If you‘re lactose tolerant & non-vegetarian, get khinkali with prawns. They‘re super. Lobi was also very good. Decent selection of Georgian wines.

A wonderful Georgian restaurant with a real atmosphere! All the dishes were delicious - khinkali, khachapuri, satsivi, just a delight! Especially the khinkali with shrimp won my heart. The staff is very hospitable, especially Evgeniy, who is always ready to help with choosing dishes and tell us about Georgian cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, ideal for a cozy evening with friends or family. I recommend it to everyone who wants to try real Georgia!

As other users have already noticed: the taste is good, even in the details. Staff tried hard and friendly - but, even under the circumstances, sometimes overwhelmed. Main problem: The restaurant is unreasonably narrow and loud. The tables are so narrow that the main course, starter or side dish and drink cannot fit next to each other for one person. The groups of tables are also so close that there is no space for correct service. People often serve or clear away things over their heads. It is also not possible for a small party (7) to have the last main course served 20 minutes after the first guest received it. The volume is unbearable for a normal conversation. Communication between two people sitting diagonally opposite each other is only possible by shouting. Biggest problem: drafts in the area of ​​the first four tables, extremely uncomfortable on the feet. In summary: Not justifiable given the high prices. Repeat and Recommendation - No!

Amazing dumplings with a soup inside

The food was good. However, the waitress rushed us to pay and leave even though nobody was leaving. I have never been rushed this much before in Berlin.

The place is good, and the service was super good but the prices are little bit expensive. We order 2 plate with obergine, meet with vegetable + wine + water + beer. Spent 138 euros. The meet plate we needed to change because of the meet was super dry.

The cuisine is delicious, the service is very bad. The waiter brought it to the small table where I ordered a lot and there was no space. If I wanted to order a cocktail I had to go to the waiter myself. No invoice presented, just payment by card. I had to check everything on the menu myself to see if the bill was charged correctly. That's why unfortunately I can't recommend it!!!

Food was very tasty but portions are very small for the price they charge

We had a fantastic evening here with our guests. Everyone was overwhelmed by the portions. It was really very tasty and the orange wine tasted so good that we immediately picked up a bottle from the trusted wine dealer... I also had a very charming and, above all, customer-oriented initial contact with Kristina. Always my pleasure!

I advise against this restaurant. I've been to three Georgian restaurants in Berlin and this was the worst. Firstly, only card payment is possible. If you don't have any money on your card and have driven an hour here, the waiter will tell you that you should contact the boss. We ordered a takeaway soup which turned out to be way too salty. We also came on my birthday and didn't have much time to sit so we asked if there were any birthday discounts - again the answer was no. There is also a promotion where you tag the restaurant on Instagram and receive a gift. Here, too, we were told that the promotion only applies if you sit in the restaurant. I am very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.

We had a nice meal here. Pretty typical Georgian food, slightly adapted to German tastes. Recommend a reservation in advance, done on Maps. Dogs allowed inside. Maybe a rad expensive. But recommend visiting.

Very tasty food that is worth the rather high price and the sometimes long waiting times. The Khinkali dumplings (we had the lamb one and the shrimp one) were fantastic. Reservations are recommended, even on a Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. almost all seats were already occupied.

A large place, where tables were placed very close to each other, waiters and guests were bumping around us. The food is very tasty, but the prices are quite high, e.g. 14 euros for 3 khinkali. You can find equally tasty Georgian food in Berlin, but the prices are significantly lower there. It's worth trying once, but we won't be back.
