We came across the restaurant through Lukas' video and really wanted to try the food. What can we say; we weren't disappointed. The food was incredibly delicious. We had to wait a bit but it was also freshly prepared. It was the best meal we ate during our Berlin trip. The waitress who served us (but also the others) were super nice. We can recommend it to everyone and would eat there again and again.

Top Georgian with great ambience and great staff. Georgian hospitality is lived here. Food was excellent.

The food was really good, the service was very nice, but the atmosphere...?! Of course we sat outside at 28 degrees and there was no tablecloth or seat cushions. Unfortunately that wasn't guest friendly or appealing.

I have now had to deduct a lot from the initial 5*. I have known Genazvale for a very, very long time (even when it was located on Windscheidstrasse in Charlottenburg). It was/has actually always been my favorite restaurant when it comes to Georgian cuisine. Dined there countless times, drank and really had a good time & ate delicious food. The last time was really disappointing. The food (at least what I ordered) lost some of its flavor. The menu has become different (smaller?), but the prices have increased. The staff is apparently new... I strongly suspect that the owner has changed too!! That would explain a lot too. That's really a pity. I'll give the Genazvale a second chance at some point and hope that I just had a "bad" day there. Unfortunately points deducted!!!!!!!

We went to this restaurant for the first time today. OMG, it was all delicious!!! Very friendly staff and the food was on the table quickly! Definitely worth 5 stars!!!

On the first evening there was a bit of a problem with the service, but everything was really good and it was just a nice evening. Haven't been here three times since then and the service just isn't good. Food is generally good, ambience is great. But for the price you can and should really expect more.

Yesterday, my wife and I decided once again to travel from Frankfurt/Oder to Berlin and treat ourselves to a delicious dinner. But.... unfortunately, there was one disappointment. 1. The service certainly leaves much to be desired. 2. Food, prices have risen, portions have become smaller, and the quality of food... I am sure that Georgians can cook better. 3. The taste of homemade wine is reminiscent of cheap Soviet wine, like “Agdam”, but I’m generally silent about tea, a disposable bag is even tastier. I apologize to the owners of the Genatsvali restaurant, but it’s better to tell you the truth in the hope that you will correct all the shortcomings than to flatter and say that everything was delicious. I liked Khachapuri and Khinkali. It’s delicious and the portion of khachapuri with double cheese is huge, enough for two. We didn’t like the fact that we ordered another dish, which they forgot to bring to us, but it was included in the bill.

I ordered a salad with the Georgian name “Gennatsvali”, and in the end I received a 100% Greek salad with chicken and croutons (the chicken in the salad was incredibly dry). Khachapuri is also with dry dough... The only Georgian thing in this place was Georgian wine. The staff is polite. But the kitchen 👎

I'm probably spoiled by my favorite Georgian, the sample of this alternative is not convincing, except for the friendly service. The food is below average and the drinks are completely overpriced. Maybe you want to correspond to the rooms that are intended to be noble, which could also be classified as kitschy and overloaded. For me there is no reason to come back.

What I thought of the restaurant🤔 was a shame... The waitresses were friendly, but unfortunately our order didn't meet expectations, we had to wait a long time until everyone had their order. One dish was forgotten and we had to say one more dish was missing and finally after a long wait everything was cold. I will not return to this restaurant nor will I recommend it to any friend. 3 stars for the wine and the two waitresses who were friendly.

Very tasty food, good service and nice ambience. The “dumplings” as a starter were great. The pork on the spit was super tender and the lamb was well seasoned. Highly recommended, although relatively expensive.

Definitely wouldn't come back. For €18 you get a small bowl (only vegetables, nothing containing fiber) of a vegetarian main course. We were asked whether we wanted the main course warm or cold. When we ordered it warm, it was suddenly €6 more expensive without us being told when we asked whether it was warm or cold. I had to talk to the manager afterwards because I didn't understand that I had to pay €6 more without warning. Especially since I ordered mushrooms stuffed with cheese as my main course for around €13. As written, this was advertised as the main course. What I got was a complete plate of small mushrooms stuffed with cheese. Without supplements. By the way, there's no highlight in terms of taste either. It may be that it was on the menu, but for something that is advertised as a main course, I expect side dishes. You don't eat something like that alone for lunch at home. And that for 13€. All in all, I can only recommend eating somewhere else. The restaurant is really beautifully designed, but I would like to be at least halfway full with one main course.

While Georgian compatriots were greeted nicely, we felt unwelcome. No thanks, no requests, no “goodbyes”, no “did you like it?” Drinks were placed on the table without a word. There was no pouring. The waitress didn't even smile and made us feel unwelcome. The music was very loud and we were denied a seat by the window on the grounds that it was reserved. However, this and other window seats were not occupied the entire time. What a shame! The food was really very tasty. But we won't come again.

Some of the food we ordered was constantly forgotten. Was always only brought after repeated requests (several times in the evening). Restaurant was only half full, so it wasn't due to occupancy. The staff apologized, but then didn't bring the ice cream we ordered (but didn't charge for it either). Were there about 6 years ago and the impression was completely different back then. A pity.

The best Georgian restaurant outside Georgia (and even better than many of inside Georgia). Quality at the highest level. Delicious, elegant, friendly staff. Wonderful experience.

Great Georgian restaurant. Despite the size, you have a feeling of calm. Service is quick, food is served almost before ordering. The selection of dishes is very good. Since there seem to be a lot of Georgians present, the food is probably authentic.

Amazing kompot, just what I had waited tp taste since years. The same goes for hinkali and shashlik. I will surely come back, thank you!

Addendum: I received mail from Google today. The owner feels his personal rights have been violated and would like to have this review removed. When did it actually become fashionable to have reviews removed by a lawyer instead of adequately responding to them and learning from them? I have now sent Google proof of our stay and my real name is also available. Bad style, Genazvale. We opened the restaurant on December 25th. visited at lunchtime. We had reserved for 6 people and were immediately reprimanded by the boss that if there were only five of us, we wouldn't get a table for six, but that if the sixth person came, a chair would be added. Mind you: the restaurant was not busy at this time and remained so until the end of our visit. The young waiter was not very approachable, listless and very unfriendly due to his demeanor. The food disappointed us, neither nicely presented nor a highlight in terms of taste and has deteriorated a lot since our last visit there. This visit was definitely our last.

Great pride in their service, their country and its beauty and traditions. I was even escorted around after dinner to learn about some of what was displayed.

We sat at a table for two and with several plates it can get tight - but it was cleared away quickly so we didn't feel cramped. Das Essen war sehr gut. Was allerdings fragwürdig war, war die Tatsache, dass die Rechnung explizit als"keine Rechnung" gekennzeichnet war. Das legt nahe, dass nach Bezahlvorgang alles in der Kasse gelöscht wird und die Umsatzsteuer nicht abgeführt wird. Bei vermutlich über Asyl und staatlich gepäppelten Einwanderern wäre Umsatzsteuerhinterziehung frech. Alles nur eine Vermutung - aber eine echte Rechnung wäre schon angebracht.

The service was terrible! It took ages to order. The staff were constantly rolling their eyes. Parts of the menu were not available without notice. Only when the bill arrived was I told that they suddenly stopped accepting cards. After a discussion they accepted them after all. If you look at the other reviews with similar comments. Super unfriendly! Absolutely not worth the price. So many other Gergoian restaurants to visit. Avoid this place!

I find the facade of the building impressive and this continues inside the quite large restaurant. The wood-panelled interior seems very authentic to me, even though I haven't been to Georgia yet. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and is happy to provide information about Georgian specialties. The food was delicious, although my mushrooms gratinated with cheese seemed to have been in the kitchen for a while before being served. The cheese was therefore like rubber when chewed and the mushrooms were no longer quite hot. We were there with a larger group and everyone was happy.

Reservation for two people made by telephone. We didn't really know what to order so we asked for advice and the person who answered us knew the menu perfectly and was able to guide us. The portions are generous, so don’t hesitate to share! Payment by card possible, but it was not possible to tip, which was a shame because we didn't have any cash on us. I will happily come back for the atmosphere, the cuisine and the quality of service.

We tried three different khachapuris and khinkali. The non-pork options were great, and the homemade fruit drinks were delicious. However, the Napoleon cake was not very fresh.

Four main courses, including lamb ribs in two different sauces, did not taste good to us. A word of advice for everyone: When you see so many dishes on the menu, you know that they are often prepared dishes that were not prepared on site. Everything is way too expensive, especially the wine, which is not tasty. I don't recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Ужин с коллегами ...к сожалению обслуживание не профессионально, за вечер подходили 4 разных девушки, не дождавшись бутылки воды , два раза заказав ее, пошли к стойке, где стояли и болтали несколько официанток и взяли бутылку сами.. двоим коллегам было плохо после еды. ((достаточно жирная еда) Не рекомендую Abendessen mit Kollegen... leider ist der Service absolut nicht professionell, im Laufe des Abends kamen 4 verschiedene Mädchen... eine Flasche Wasser min. 20 Minuten gewartet , nachdem sie es zweimal bestellt hatten,bin zur Theke gegangen, wo mehrere Kellnerinnen standen und plauderten, und nahmen die Flasche selbst. Zwei Kollegen fühlten sich nach dem Essen schlecht. Ich empfehle es nicht (ziemlich fetthaltiges Essen)

Tolles Restaurant mit Georgischer Küche. Das Ambiente ist toll, sieht von innen sehr gemütlich aus. Der Service war auch sehr nett und hat meiner Mutter zum Geburtstag sogar ein Stück Kuchen gebracht. 👍

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, aber das Personal geht leider garnicht. Beim ersten Mal habe ich es noch auf den Strress wegen vieler Gäste geschoben, aber vor 3 Tagen war so gut wie nichts los. Es fehlt an einfachsten Höflichkeitsformen wie Guten Tag, Bitte, Danke und auf Wiedersehen. Diese "Kälte" ist so unangenehm, daß wir künftig auf andere georgische Lokale ausweichen werden.

Wir gehen nunmehr schon über 15 Jahre dort essen, aber in der letzten Zeit ist es dort sehr schlecht. Viele Gerichte auf der Speisekarte sind nicht erhältlich und auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist mittlerweile unverschämt. Am schlimmsten ist aber der Service. Die stehen mit 5 Leuten hinter der Theke aber keiner rührt sich. Beim letzten Besuch musste ich dreimal zur Theke um die Bestellung aufzugeben. So nicht. Werden nicht mehr hingehen

Nicht für große Gruppen geeignet. Unfreundliches, unmotiviert und ingnorantes Personal. Sehr schlecht organisiert. Nicht alle Gerichte von Speisekarte vorhanden. Nach 23:00 Uhr keine Bestellung möglich. Bestellte Hauptgerichte für einige vergessen bzw. gar nicht gebracht. Falsche Hauptgerichte ans Tisch gebracht was man nicht bestellt hat.

10 лет мы ходили с радостью в этот ресторан, но в последний раз, после небольшого перерыва, мы его не узнали. Все поменялось; плохое обслуживание. При подачи на стол, пол миски салата вылетело на стол- такое резкое швыряние салатницы…конечно они заменили, тем не менее очень были не рады и показывали это. Красное вино подали в бокале видимо из морозилки, было очень холодное. Шашлык был сухой и твердый… а счет ждали более получаса. . Сейчас ищу ему замену. Больше туда не пойду. Жаль, раньше мы любили это место…

Hat im Laufe der Jahre leider nachgelassen, nicht alle Gerichte, die auf der Karte sind gibt es, Gerichte sind auf der Rechnung teurer als auf der Karte.. Schade, war mal unser georgischer Favorit

Die Qualität hat stark nachgelassen. Der Schaschlik ist nicht mehr so wie er mal war. Das habe ich schon von vielen Stammkunden gehört. Sehr schade

Приветливый персонал, очень вкусная еда. Помимо шашлыка , ещё брали хачапури на 3х и хинкали по 1шт. Было очень сытно и не поместилось в желудок)) Рекомендую!

Über Geschmack lässt sich immer streiten, deshalb vergebe ich hier die 4 Sterne für das Essen und die 3 Sterne für das Ambiente um nicht unfair zu sein . Der Service war allerdings unfassbar schlecht 😞 Ich werde dieses Restaurant nicht noch einmal besuchen...

Pomimo wcześniej zarezerwowanego stolika na 3 osoby obsługa wcisnęła nas do stolika na 2 osoby. Musieliśmy, złożyć reklamację ponieważ danie było zimne. Napoje zostały podane później niż jedzenie. Ponieważ nie było wystarczająco miejsca na stole były podawane pojedynczo

Es war sehr laut (wir saßen im voderen Teil), das Essen lecker aber sehr fett. Die Preise für Hauptgerichte sind ohne Beilagen. Also ein Hühnchenspiess 17 Euro + Schälchen Reis 3.50€. Finde ich zu teuer für das, was es war. Ich war enttäuscht, war eine Erfahrung, aber ich komme nicht wieder.

Leider nicht das, was es früher war. 20 € für 0,5 L Hauswein! Das Lamm am Spieß ist viel zu hart. Die Tomate drin ist verdorben. Mehr als 80 € für 2 Personen bezahlt und immer noch hungrig. Das ist nicht normal.
