The food was excellent, especially the khinkali (I’d say the best in Berlin). The service was good and very friendly.

A delicious and beautiful place! The Georgian restaurant "Gennadsvale" left the most pleasant impressions. The khachapuri and khinkali are simply delicious. The staff is very friendly, speaking Russian and German. The atmosphere is cozy, with a themed interior and Georgian music. We highly recommend it and will happily return!

We held our Christmas party at this restaurant, and Giorgi's service was simply outstanding! He was very friendly, attentive, and extremely well-organized, even with our larger group. All our requests were promptly fulfilled, and thanks to his positive attitude, there was a wonderful, festive atmosphere. A huge thank you to Giorgi – our Christmas party was a complete success thanks to him!

Very cozy place with super tasty food. Its a bit expensive. Service also could be better as there were 2employees to take care of the whole restaurant the waiting time was quite long and difficult to find someone to ask anything. But overall will give 5stars as food was very delicious, nice atmosphere with traditional music, decorations and all employees friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Tina is the angel who came down from heaven with a mission. I walked in suffering from a legendary hangover, barely human. She took one look at me and prescribed exactly what I needed. Every recommendation was spot on. The food and drinks didn’t just taste great - they saved my life. The atmosphere helps too: dim lighting, chill music, and plenty of space if you want to hide from humanity and sit far away from other people. The recovery formula: One shot of chacha. Khinkali stuffed with herbs. Chikhirtma soup with lemon. One liter of Borjomi. Dr. Tina, thank you. I survived.

I wanted to visit this place for a while and was quite disappointed. Food isn't good and it's a bit more expensive than average. The place itself isn't nice, design is weird. Music is too loud. Stuff didn't speak English at all. They brang wrong dishes several times, even though we ordered in German. I wouldn't go here again.

This was my first time here with my wife. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. We got married in Georgia and simply wanted to relive the memories, right here in Berlin. It worked perfectly! The atmosphere was absolutely relaxed, with Georgian music, and the decor was beautiful, featuring many murals showcasing the beauty of Georgia. The service was top-notch, always attentive to our table. But the best part was the food – delicious and fresh. The grilled meat was full of flavor, perfectly balanced with spice, sweetness, and acidity. We will definitely be back!

We always had to wait a very long time for service. We ordered a small beer and received a large one. We ordered a specific type of beer and received a different one. They didn't even have coffee. On top of that, the staff were rather rude when we complained. The food wasn't very good either: salty and inconsistent. The decor was nice, but it's not a place you absolutely have to go.

If you want to eat at a disco, this is the place to be...

We were greeted warmly. That was the only positive thing, though. I had booked a table for eight people six months in advance, but were then seated at a table suitable for six. The menus were all damaged, and some were missing pages. The food was good, but far too expensive. Three of the juices listed on the menu were sold out, including apple juice. And this was on a Saturday at 5 p.m.! In the end, we were given a single bill to split on a piece of paper. One person had to pay the entire amount and then have the other person's money transferred to their account. We repeatedly asked the waitress to split the bill between the couples. The answer was, "The cash register doesn't have that function." In short: We were all really looking forward to this restaurant and will definitely not be returning.

Even one star is too much for this place. Definitely a case for the tax authorities. Apparently, there's no way to pay separately. The restaurant manager even yelled at the guests when they asked for a bill. Overpriced and a disastrous manager who was even an embarrassment to the staff. Definitely eat somewhere else!!! I was there two years ago, and it was a top-notch restaurant. Now I say: Never again... The only positive thing: the service.

Generally speaking, the service was excellent and the food was quite appealing. However, I did witness a very disrespectful behavior from the apparent restaurant manager: after I was charged for too many drinks, she became indignant to our group because we had paid individually instead of together. Since we hadn't seen this "unwritten rule" mentioned anywhere beforehand, the whole situation left me with a rather unsatisfactory impression – especially since, from that moment on, we felt less than welcome.

I'm stunned by what's become of my once favorite Georgian restaurant. You can immediately tell the old owner is gone—in every sense of the word. The food was a disaster: carelessly slapped onto the plate, a few onions thrown on the chicken—and for €21? Outrageous! My husband and I had the same dish, but different sauces—prepared completely haphazardly. The tomato and cucumber salad, which used to be fresh and delicious, was simply disgusting this time—with hair in it! And as if that weren't enough, we both had severe stomach aches afterward. Not to mention the service: unfriendly, disinterested, no inquiries, no smiles, nothing. You simply feel unwelcome as a guest. This restaurant has nothing to do with the previous owner. We're certain: Never again. It's a disgrace what's become of it.

I waited 50 minutes longer for my food than the rest of the table. Even after asking several times, I only received the response, "Coming soon." Then the waiter brought the wrong dish, to which I was simply told that the correct one would arrive shortly. When my food was finally served and I asked for compensation, I was told that I hadn't said anything. There was no apology or anything similar until I asked again for a solution. Ultimately, I received a 50% discount. The service urgently needs improvement! Update: The 50% discount was not included on the final bill.

We were greeted rudely and asked if we had a reservation. We had. We certainly won't be doing this again; the service was abysmal and the prices are exorbitant. We had to ask for a menu and then explain how we intended to pay! By the time our food and drinks arrived, part of the family had already left. The available dishes were interesting and a nice change. When paying, I was repeatedly called to the counter, rudely reprimanded, then ignored, and had to watch the staff berating each other. The restaurant is NOT suitable for people with mobility issues; the stairlift doesn't cover all the steps, and after the way we were treated, I was glad to be home. The dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, but the restroom in the basement is not very clean.

Today I went to this restaurant, I ordered khinkali and khachapuri everything was very delicious, and I really liked it 😍

We were there today after a long time... We had the feeling they were deliberately making it so bad to cause it to go bankrupt. Extremely poor service and timing. The so-called lamb chops were just leftovers on the bone with four lifeless pieces of potato. Khinkali and hatchapuri were good, but the surrounding food was just terrible! The staff seemed to be in an apocalyptic mood. It wasn't for nothing that the place was almost empty. A real shame for the many good years in the past of this Mark Genazvale. But good khacha for €7 a glass. Why not make it €20, or better yet, make it unaffordable... Then you have something radically special...

Other than the beautiful building, I really can't say anything nice. Oh yes: the seltzer water was refreshing. - Half of the dishes didn't arrive - Incredibly expensive, which isn't justified for the quality - Extremely poor service - Many items and drinks on the menu were out of stock Overall: Absolutely not recommended. As a guest, I didn't feel particularly welcome. There was no farewell ceremony either.

I recommend "Genatsvale" to anyone who hasn't tried Georgian cuisine yet—though even those who have will be delighted. I'm Georgian, and I can say that this restaurant conveys Georgian culture perfectly. Even before we started eating, the beautiful decor—both interior and exterior—was evident. And the food, of course, is top-notch! Even in my home country, I've never had such delicious dishes as I have in this restaurant. Our group of four ate so much that there was still some left over.

I've been a guest at this and other Georgian restaurants in Berlin and Russia for a while now, and I must say that I was initially very impressed: delicious food, a very nice and relaxing atmosphere, and infectiously friendly staff and service. Unfortunately, that faded... We (my wife and I, and two friends whom we wanted to show a nice Georgian restaurant) ordered khachapuri for starters, and shashlik/meat skewers for the main course. For the first time, I experienced the main course coming first, followed by khachapuri. When I asked why we received them in reverse order (it wasn't the case at the neighboring tables...), we were simply told that it's normal for khachapuri to be eaten alongside the main course. I felt a bit cheated because the khachapuri arrived when we were almost finished with the main course (we were told it would take 10 minutes – so there was a delay). Well, and the main course: 6 small pieces of meat distributed from left to right on a large plate – very, very tidy! And the accompanying pieces of onion felt rather lost in the middle of it all. In my opinion, the food was delicious, they probably just forgot the khachapuri, but the small pieces of meat (they definitely used to be bigger...) were nowhere near worth the price!!! In short: We left the restaurant almost as hungry as we arrived, so we helped ourselves to a few slices of bread at home. I really hope this changes, otherwise my wife and I won't be coming back – and I wouldn't take friends there either, just to show them a Georgian restaurant, along with some delicious food.

Terribly bad service... and I say that as a native Berliner! None of the employees gave the slightest impression of being interested in customers. We sat at our table for 10 minutes, while various waiters walked past us several times before we even received a menu. And then only after we asked. In between, no one even asked if everything was OK or if we wanted something else to drink, etc. The bill came quickly, but I had to wait several more minutes for my change. Finally, I went to the counter myself and asked for my change. Another 5 minutes later, I finally got it. The location is really nice and well-suited for larger groups. The food was also delicious. Nothing outstanding, but something different and good. But because of this abysmal service, I really can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's a shame!

A meal at Genazvale should be a culinary experience – but it turned out to be a prime example of how to scare away guests. First, the food: Everything was overloaded with coriander – and it wasn't even mentioned anywhere on the menu. The food was rather mediocre in taste, but incredibly expensive. The price-performance ratio is completely out of proportion. But the real low point was the service: The waitresses weren't just unfriendly, they were downright rude. They gave rude replies and made you feel like you were interrupting your order. And then the icing on the cake: €48 too much suddenly appeared on the bill. An apology? None. It was canceled – on the third attempt, but only reluctantly and in a tone that completely ruined the evening. I honestly don't understand all the good reviews. Maybe it used to be different – ​​but what we experienced was a true restaurant horror. Never again.

From the beauty of the building where the restaurant is located and the interior that takes you straight to the heart of Georgia, to the authentic Georgian wines with a wide selection, everything was impressive. If you've already seen it all, this is truly something different! And the vegetable-based appetizers are superbly prepared. The decor is classic—why not, it doesn't always have to be modern.

A disastrous restaurant visit! We received terrible service throughout the entire evening, with each meal arriving 30 minutes apart. The price/performance ratio is terrible. Suddenly, the music started playing so loudly that you couldn't have a conversation. The neighboring tables also complained. When paying, we were surprised to receive the message: the card reader isn't working! This should have been communicated from the start. We will definitely not be coming back, as we didn't feel comfortable at all!

The food is fabulous: meat, cheese parcels, soups, bread—everything is really good and tastes very unusual. The ambiance is also very nice: paneled walls, mirrors, plenty of space, high ceilings, beautiful lighting. If you're willing to wait half an hour for a waitress, only want to pay in cash, and are okay with a few missing drinks and dishes from the menu, and enormously expensive wines for €8-10 a glass, then you're in for a great culinary delight! It was also quite funny: On one menu we were given, all the dishes and drinks had been crossed off with a cross. A child's prank?

The food was tasty, but the main courses were a bit small. What was more annoying, however, was the service. You don't see anyone for a long time, and you're not asked if you want another dessert or something to drink. The dirty dishes aren't cleared away. I should have spoken to the blonde waitress in Russian, because then you get better service.

The two of us spontaneously went there because we wanted to try Georgian food. Because of the nice weather, we sat outside. No one came. After about 15 minutes, I went inside and had to get the chatty staff to bring us the menus. After what felt like another 15 minutes, we were finally able to order. Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't tell me what the sauce contained and pointed out that payment was cash only. So my friend had to go back to get some money. The food was really delicious, but we definitely won't go there again. We just didn't feel welcome at all. Such a shame!

We wanted to have Georgian food and chose this restaurant. The food was okay, but the service left something to be desired, which was a shame. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so guests could have expected more. Because the waitresses didn't take notes and tried to remember everything, we ended up missing two drinks and a starter didn't arrive at all. We canceled it at the end, before the bill arrived. For me, good service is a must for a great dinner. The food was fresh and delicious. We would have definitely ordered more, but eventually, people rarely came to our table. The table next to us had already gotten up and was looking for the waitress. That's just not right!

The food in the photo tastes good. The service leaves a lot of room for improvement. We were served wine with insects in it. I very politely pointed this out to the waitress. Instead of "sorry," I only heard "Alinaaaaa." Yelling at the employee is not a reasonable apology for the unpleasant situation. I have visited four Georgian restaurants in Berlin, and nowhere was I served wine with insects. To be precise, two fruit flies. The statement "we only accept cash" is also a joke for a restaurant that positions itself as "high class." The money laundering allegations should definitely be investigated.

And another Georgian, who are now flooding Berlin like a flood. And another Georgian who's barely above average. And another Georgian who praises himself for being special, yet offers everything just like what feels like thousands of other Georgians in the city do. It's okay, it's delicious, and that's about it.

The food, service, and ambiance were really good. However, I don't think the value for money is adequate. Paying €18 for a dumpling with some cheese and an egg is borderline. The dumpling was very tasty, but for that price, I ate it once. The meat skewer for €19 was also really good, but there were no side dishes; you would have had to order them separately. The Georgian beer isn't really recommended either (we didn't try the wine). There were three of us, and everyone got their food at different times. The hungry child was forgotten, but they brought it later. It's a good idea to bring a thick wallet here.
