Khinkali House in Berlin

Absolut furchtbar. Der Kellner vergaß die Hälfte unserer Bestellung, entschuldigte sich nicht einmal, und wir, die älteren Gäste, warteten eine Stunde lang auf unser Essen, bis er endlich merkte, dass er es vergessen hatte. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste im Restaurant. Tut mir leid, aber dafür gibt es keine Entschuldigung. Das Essen ist für die Portionsgröße viel zu teuer. Ein Khachapuri ist winzig und reicht nur für eine Person. Um dort gut zu essen, gibt man bis zu 25 Euro aus, was für solche Lokale völlig übertrieben ist. Und als ob das nicht genug wäre, habe ich immer noch Bauchschmerzen. Das Essen war also wohl auch nicht richtig durchgegart. Aber schwer zu sagen, anderen ging es gut, vielleicht lag es ja nur an mir. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert.

Ein hervorragendes Lokal mit saftigen Chinkali und georgischem Wein!

Ich habe hier schon öfter gegessen und das Essen wirklich geliebt, deshalb bin ich diesmal so enttäuscht. Ich habe mir Chatschapuri liefern lassen. Was ankam, war dieses traurige kleine Ding. Für 14 Euro! Wenn ich das Chatschapuri schon mal gegessen habe, war es eine richtig große Portion, die man gut teilen konnte. Diese Lieferversion ist eine ganz andere Liga. Ich weiß nicht, ob die Lieferportionen absichtlich verkleinert werden oder ob die Küche einfach nur faul war, aber 14 Euro für so etwas Kleines sind ein Witz. Nie wieder! Seid gewarnt!

Khachapuri und Khinkali waren köstlich! Man muss bestellen und etwas warten, bis das Gericht fertig ist. Perfekt für ein Mittagessen. Das Personal war freundlich und hat uns erklärt, wie man Khinkali isst! Eine wunderschöne Gegend.

Wir kamen ins Restaurant, setzten uns und warteten auf eine Bedienung, die unsere Bestellung aufnahm, aber niemand kam. Nach einiger Zeit stellten wir fest, dass es Selbstbedienung war. Das Problem war, dass nirgendwo ein Schild oder Hinweis darauf hinwies, dass man an der Bar bestellen muss. Woher sollten wir das denn wissen? Zu allem Übel kam kurz vor Ladenschluss ein Mitarbeiter zu uns und fing an, uns zu kritisieren, weil wir uns über die fehlende Information beschwert hatten. Er meinte sogar, da wir ja in Berlin seien, müssten wir uns an die örtlichen Gepflogenheiten halten. Ich verstehe nicht, welche Regeln er damit meinte. Die Regel, dass man erraten muss, dass es Selbstbedienung ist? Oder die Regel, dass Mitarbeiter Gäste belehren dürfen, anstatt ihnen einfach das System zu erklären? Ein einfaches Schild hätte all das vermieden. Leider hinterließ der Besuch einen schlechten Eindruck.

Ich verstehe nicht, warum dieser Laden so gute Bewertungen hat. Erstens ist der Knopf im WC kaputt; er fehlt einfach; er wurde entfernt. Es gibt keinen Spiegel, und die Toilette ist ungünstig gelegen; man muss sich erst an den Angestellten vorbeidrängen. Zweitens sind die Chinkali meiner Meinung nach klein und die Portionen sehr unterschiedlich. Ich habe zwei Portionen gegessen und war nicht satt, anders als sonst. Außerdem sehen die Tische und Bänke draußen ziemlich abgenutzt aus. Und es ist Selbstbedienung. Ich habe keine Lust, wiederzukommen.

Khachapuri und Khinkali waren absolut lecker! Es ist kein klassisches Restaurant sondern man bestellt an der Theke. Perfekt für ein schnelles Mittagessen. Plätze sind genügend vorhanden. Die Preise sind auch sehr fair.

Wir waren sehr oft da. Es sind unserer Meinung nach die besten Khinkali in Berlin. Allerdings ist es vermehrt zu unfreundlichen Service gekommen, sodass die Lust nicht mehr da ist vorbeizukommen. Sehr schade. Nur ein junger Mann ist sehr freundlich gewesen. Die restlichen Servicekräfte leider nicht. Zudem sind Kinder anscheinend nicht erwünscht.

Ein absolut fantastischer Ort, gemütliche Atmosphäre, ausgezeichnetes Essen und für Berliner Verhältnisse angemessene Preise!

Ich habe mit meinem Mann Chinkali gegessen, um es zu probieren. Das Gericht war frisch und wurde erst nach der Bestellung zubereitet. Der Teig war zart, das Fleisch schmackhaft und gut gewürzt. Allerdings war die Portion recht klein. Die Brühe war in Ordnung. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt war die Spitze der Teigtasche, die roh und zäh war. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das Gericht zwar lecker war, aber nichts Besonderes und meiner Meinung nach für die Menge zu teuer.

Am Samstag waren mein Mann und ich während unseres Berlin-Besuchs dort zum Mittagessen. Wir lieben die georgische Küche und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Wirklich leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service, tolle Atmosphäre und faire Preise. Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch wieder!

10 € für einen einfachen Salat. Über eine Stunde Wartezeit für vier Teigtaschen und ein Boot. Wäre die Wartezeit kürzer gewesen, wäre ich besser gelaunt gewesen, aber fast 40 € für diese Menge Essen und die unverschämte Wartezeit zu bezahlen, ist einfach nur schrecklich. Zum Glück war das Essen, abgesehen vom Salat, in Ordnung.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen hier, um den Abschluss des Medizinstudiums unseres Freundes zu feiern. Das Essen war super lecker – wir hatten verschiedene vegetarische und Fleischgerichte, und alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Atmosphäre war sehr schön und der Service freundlich. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend und kommen gerne wieder!

Teuer und meiner Meinung nach nicht besonders schmackhaft.

Wir kamen hierher, um einen kleinen Imbiss zu essen. Wir probierten eine Mischung aus Khinkali und Khachapuri. Insgesamt war es sehr lecker. Allerdings ist die Portion im Vergleich zu Khachapuri zum gleichen Preis in anderen Lokalen sehr klein.

Früher 5/5, jetzt sind die Portionen dermaßen runtergeschrumpft, das personal ist kein bisschen netter geworden und freut sich nur wenn deren Arbeitszeit vorbei ist. Die Arbeiter scheinen Paaren deutlich kleinere Portionen zu geben, und sind lassen diese gerne mal anderthalb Stunden auf ihr essen warten, obwohl sie nur 3 khinkali und 2 Khachapuri zu machen haben und es maximal so 3 Leute im Restaurant sind die was nebenbei bestellt haben. Absolute Frechheit nochmal zu den Portionen, Früher waren die immer tellergroß, jetzt ist alles dermaßen kleiner geworden - Preislich natürlich teurer;)

Sie nahmen die Bestellung auf, kamen 20 Minuten später wieder und sagten, sie könnten die Bestellung nicht zubereiten. Das Essen wurde uns erst erstattet, nachdem wir Getränke dazu gekauft hatten. Ich war, gelinde gesagt, enttäuscht.

Very cool. A very cozy Georgian café with a great atmosphere. The competitions with alcoholic rewards were especially fun – they created a great atmosphere.

We always enjoyed visiting Khinkali House, but recently the prices have increased and the portions have gotten smaller. There wasn't even any wine available on our last visit. That dampened our enjoyment somewhat…

It's great because I love the food and will always come back. I can only recommend it to everyone. It's one of the most delicious dishes I've ever eaten 😇

We stopped in because Google recommended it and we liked the photos. It's actually a very small place, I think the smallest I've ever been to... The food is fresh and delicious. They even gave us a free meal 🫶 A pleasant, inviting atmosphere with candles. Wishing you prosperity.

Amazing and juicy khinkali, probably the best in Berlin. Very simple , nothing over the top, you get a choice of khinkali or khachapiri but the taste is great.

We can wholeheartedly recommend this lovely restaurant. It was our first time eating Georgian food, and we were absolutely delighted. The service was fantastic – we received wonderful advice and were recommended the most delicious dishes! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Berlin!

It was a very delicious snack! We had the original mixed meat dumpling. The staff was lovely and taught us how to eat the dumpling properly. They lit a candle as well due to it getting slightly dark outside. It was not extremely filling, one plate of dumplings is s good snack, but the food definetely reflected the quality.

We traveled all the way from Hamburg to Berlin to try the khinkali from Khinkali House. I tried khinkali for the first time today and I'm absolutely thrilled! Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back! 😘

The food here is original! We tried the Megruli with double cheese, dumplings with meat & cheese, both were delicious. The cheese especially tasted so unique and authentic, unlike anything I’ve had anywhere else. Even though I’m someone who’s supposed to stay away from cheese :D The meat dumplings with a bit of soupinside were next level. You can really tell everything is homemade. The place itself feels cozy and personal, more like a family business than a chain restaurant, which I really liked. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of one awkward moment. While we were sitting near the counter where people order, someone who seemed to be visiting an employee pulled their pants down a bit (I think to show their partner something), while having his back to us. While eating i was seeing half of his backside, maybe he wasn't aware we can se him, but it felt a bit unprofessional to see that while eating. Other than that, everything was great, friendly service, amazing food, and a really nice vibe. I’d definitely come back!

I ordered khinkali from you. After eating them, I developed severe nausea, diarrhea, and a general feeling of ill health. The day before, I had eaten regular food and had no problems. After eating your khinkali, I felt really bad. It's been two days of terrible feeling. I think this is due to the quality of the product and the cooking conditions. In the future, either clean up your kitchen or stop selling things that make people sick.

i love this place! As a spanish person that had no contact with georgian food before coming to berlin, im very sure to say that Georgian cuisine is one of the most amazing ive ever had! And khinkali house is a perfect spot. Order Imeruli and Khinkali you cant go wrong :)

As a Georgian who takes Khinkali serious, this is the best Khinkali in Berlin.

Tasty but it got expensive for what it is. 3 khinkali dumplings (really not that big) were 7.5€ just a couple of months back. Now they're over 9€. Apparently the inflation from last year is still relevant today.

It was a Sunday early dinner with friends and we just came in without getting any advance reservations. Ordered mixed meat khinkali and kachapuri 😍 The khinkali was delicious 🤤 just like the ones we had in Tbilisi but the kachapuri’s cheese was quite different. Maybe it’s hard to get the same cheese they use in Georgia but overall tasted good too. Overall it was a good experience!

Excellent food. The terrace is small and customers are crowded together because there's no space between tables, but it's worth the visit. Everything is delicious.

Very small portions but delicious!

The restaurant is located on a busy street, with several restaurants lined up on the right and left. It's not a particularly large restaurant, and the ambiance is perhaps not so appealing. The food, however, was excellent! I will definitely visit the restaurant again! Keep up the good work!

Never had tried Georgian food in my life, but this was a great start to say the least, the atmosphere in itself really cozy, really inviting, the service was also quick and good. The food is the highlight since this place and the cuisine itself is a cheese lover's paradise.

That was it! Oh, it felt like I'm at the local restaurant in Tbilisi as the taste was the copy paste. The service and space were kind of hectic as they do not have enough tables and new costumers waiting on the line looking at you which puts a lot of pressure on your eating.

Food was alright, but we waited 40 minutes for our food while people who ordered after us got theirs first. I understand that a kitchen can be very busy, but the service was also not that nice and the bathrooms where very dirty. One person from the staff was smoking a stinky cigarette next to my table on her break, that also made the atmosphere not good. Wouldn’t come again, not because of the food quality, but because of everything else

We had 3 Georgian dumplings with meat, one Georgian bread with cheese and egg, as well as 2 different Georgian lemonades 😊. The food was great and really satious for 2 hungry people 😋 The staff was friendly, polite and welcoming. The atmosphere 👌. I totally recommend this place!

Really great khinkali, good khachapuri - although there are other places in the city where I'd go if I mostly wanted to eat the latter. Nice option if you want something filling and hearty.

We came to Khinkali House, waited for the waitress to deign to take the order, stubbornly ignoring us, although we approached, she was standing behind the cash register and abruptly left to talk to the cook and drink water. 5 minutes passed while we were standing and waiting for her to return. When we called her loudly, she made an extremely dissatisfied face, saying "what do you want?" Somehow having taken the order, the waitress named the wrong amount, we said that it should be a different amount, to which she said "that's what I said" (no) Then she immediately ran away, without giving us the sign with the order number, which was on every guest of this establishment. We did not know the order number and again stood at the cash register, waiting for the waitress to return. In the end, she gave us the check and wrote the order number with a pen. We waited for the order for 30 minutes. For the sake of interest, we went to a neighboring restaurant during this time, there they gave out the order (fried meat in lavash) in 5 minutes. And the shawarma was tastier than the khinkali. In the khinkali, there were bones and tendons in the meat (in the photo) The waitress stood near the counter where the cook was issuing the order the whole time, despite the fact that people were standing and waiting for the order to be taken. The waitress saw them, but did not come up Then, after 20 minutes, the waitress finally decided to clear the table where the bottles had been standing before we arrived, and even another company managed to eat at the dirty table (the bottles were not theirs) The service was just super, we were absolutely delighted! We will always come back, the waitress was just wonderful. (No) The khinkali were delicious every time, sometimes there were bones and tendons. And sometimes you eat khinkali that tasted like toilet paper. The establishment is small, there is no toilet, you wait for your order for at least half an hour

I ate here with a friend earlier. The Georgian dishes are simply amazing. It tasted really good. The restrooms, however, desperately need a good cleaning, and the toilet flush needs to be repaired.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the quality of the chachapuri. The dough was quite stiff and the portion was rather small. For €14, I would have expected a bit more.

The waitress who served was quite unfriendly. It was waiting for one hour that still didn’t come. I feel stomach hurt and with bad mood. After an hour I asked the other staff who was nicer. And said there was a mistake that my order was served to another customers. They gave me 3 dumplings as compensation.

I had to wait 20 minutes for that...but I wasn't informed of this beforehand. There was only one person ahead of me. Unfortunately, the mushroom dumplings weren't particularly tasty either. There was way too much of a strange seasoning in them. The cheese dumplings could have been better. I actually wanted to eat there, but the restaurant was under construction. Which is strange, since the restaurant has been open for months. I also wished they hadn't been building during opening hours. But hey, maybe it will be beautiful. — Update 05/25 The bread with cheese and egg is really delicious. Unfortunately, there's no salad or anything fresh. I still don't like the interior. The employee was really nice and pointed out to me that the bread doesn't last long. I waited 20 minutes again instead of the stated 10.

First Georgian food I tried – and definitely not the last time! The Pkhali bowl was amazing! My favorite was the spinach pkhali – I could’ve eaten a whole bowl of just that! The fresh, simple bread (which tasted homemade to me) even had a bit of salt on top. The dish was lovingly presented. The service was super friendly, and the atmosphere in the small restaurant was very cozy and welcoming. From my perspective, there was nothing to complain about. The only (minor) downside – which definitely isn’t worth deducting a star – was the absence of Georgian lemonade, which my Georgian friend had recommended. But as someone who works in gastronomy myself, I know it often comes down to suppliers or unexpectedly high demand. It’s a pity, but these things happen. If the lemonade had been available, I’d happily have reviewed it too. Maybe next time!

We really like coming here with my husband and friends. The khinkali are very tasty. We also tried pkhali and khachapuri. We really liked it. The service is excellent and very polite.
