Restaurant Sara & Gogi in Berlin

Very disappointed. We've been there twice now, as it was recommended to us. Once the waiter was from Hesse, and the other time the service was a disaster. What a shame.

Absolutely amazing Georgian food - hands down the best I've ever had! We started with pkhali and beef tartare, both were really good. But the real highlight was the khinkali - we tried 3 different kinds and they were all incredible. The shrimp ones with creamy sauce were just perfect, honestly couldn't stop eating them. Everything tasted so fresh and authentic. The flavors were spot on and you can tell they really know what they're doing in the kitchen. Definitely going back soon to try more dishes. If you love Georgian food or want to try it for the first time, this place is a must!

Very good Georgian restaurant. The dinner was very very good, the staff was friendly, but a little uninterested, maybe because it was busy. The wine list is limited exclusively to Georgian wines, which is a disadvantage of the restaurant in my opinion. An alternative should be offered. All overall, I definitely recommend it!

The food (vegetarian) tasted very good, but it wasn't filling. Combining it with a starter or dessert drives up the cost considerably, as there aren't really any inexpensive dishes. It was good, but overall the prices were very high.

Unfortunately, I wasn't convinced by the value for money. I ordered a lamb skewer (Lula Kebab) – a skewer with about a tablespoon of babaganoush – for €27. It tasted okay, but rather average. The portion was really small, and I'm not sure how the price came about. The atmosphere is fine, and even quite nicely decorated. However, the tables are very close together, so you can hear almost every conversation your neighbors are having. The service staff was friendly, but rather reserved – you didn't get the impression they were trying particularly hard. Overall: too expensive for what you get.

We dined here for business on the recommendation of a friend. The restaurant has a very pleasant ambiance, perfect for dates, business lunches, or even smaller groups. We were served by two very attentive waiters. The wine selection was excellent, and it's worth asking about the daily wines by the glass—this gave us a taste of a wine that's usually only sold by the bottle. The food was excellent in quality and flavor. Price-wise, the restaurant is certainly in the higher end (main course €25-35)—but the food is also high-quality. We will recommend it and will definitely return.

The restaurant has a nice setting, and the food itself is fine – some dishes were tasty, others just average, nothing that really stood out. Unfortunately, the overall experience was let down by the service. The staff came across as quite arrogant and not very welcoming, which made it difficult to feel comfortable as a guest. A warmer, more attentive approach would have made a big difference, but instead it felt like we weren’t really valued or looked after. Because of that, it’s hard to fully enjoy the meal, even if the food is acceptable.

What a great restaurant! It was all booked so had sit outside, but worth it. Never had Georgia food before, think it has some fusion of east and west. Got to try the dumplings, and the octopus was good too!

SERVICE: Very attentive and very well-prepared for questions – not just about the food but even more specific questions about the wines. You really don't get that everywhere! 👍 FOOD/DRINK: If, like me, you don't like cilantro, the menu is significantly smaller. But there's still a nice selection, as all the dishes are also very, very tasty. The wines are definitely not the standard offerings you'd find everywhere – very exciting! ATMOSPHERE: Very well-maintained, carefully prepared, and a pleasant atmosphere. A small drawback: The path to the women's restroom can be quite narrow. It might be a good idea to make a reservation. On all previous visits, it gradually became quite crowded.

The three of us came on a recommendation. Despite the rainy and cold weather, all the patio doors were open, and the entrance door was wide open. We declined our table by the open window and were given a very cramped and still-cold seat in the back. No window was closed, so I had to eat in my outdoor jacket. The menu only arrived after we asked for it after a long wait. The Coke we ordered was carelessly placed in bottles, not poured. The appetizer set, including cutlery, was cleared away, and a knife fell directly onto my legs. No apology. The dishes were expensive and the quality and quantity didn't match. The minced lamb skewer came on a dry bread base. Any kebab has more flavor and freshness. We asked for dessert, the menu was carelessly placed down, and no one asked... 9 p.m. was probably already closing time. Conclusion: €103 for three people wasted. Hospitality and service can be better. And then "restaurateurs" wonder why business is bad. Never again!

Fantastic restaurant! During my stay in Berlin with several people, I went here several times, and everyone loved it! It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it. The mixed appetizer platter is fantastic. I then had the ljula kebab, and that was also 10/10! The service is also super friendly and explains every part of the dish to you. Keep up the good work, everyone! I'll definitely be back!

Good food, but the waiter was unfriendly and not attentive. He started talking to us and then just left.

Our visit to this restaurant was a complete disappointment. From the very beginning, a cold, impersonal atmosphere prevailed. The service staff seemed stressed, inattentive, and at times unfriendly. The most noticeable issue was the way they treated our children: The waiter seemed impatient, constantly interrupted, and repeatedly made inappropriate comments about what the children were doing. We had the impression that this was done intentionally, which made the experience very unpleasant. At the end, we were even offered to take our food away so we could finish the evening more quickly. Overall, we felt unwelcome as a family. I cannot recommend this restaurant to families with children.

Berlin definitely has more to offer when it comes to Georgian food! Especially when it comes to customer service, it's unacceptable.

That was a truly fantastic experience! The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, and even if you hadn't tried it before, it definitely left you wanting more. There's a special menu for groups of seven or more. There were only two of us, so it will be something for our next visits. This was our first visit there, but certainly not the last. Thank you for the lovely evening.

It was simply outstandingly delicious, there's no other way to describe it! We ordered a larger selection of dishes, hence the slightly higher price. But you can get by with significantly less per person.

Based on a recommendation, we reserved a table at Sara & Gogi. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to a table outside. After placing our orders, the drinks and appetizers arrived very promptly and were a massive culinary delight. The main course was incredibly delicious, and the dessert was divine. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Israeli and Georgian cuisine. We would be happy to return.

Unfortunately, it's with a heavy heart that I have to write a negative review for Sara & Gogi for the first time. I've been there several times since it opened – the service was always excellent, as was the food. After a year's break, I went back with two friends and had previously raved about the delicious food. Unfortunately, the original staff was no longer there. The new team seemed rather cold and a bit rude. We ordered a glass of wine – and then another later. The waitress brought the bottle and simply poured a different wine into the same glass. I've never experienced anything like that before. The amount of drinks has also been halved – while the price has remained the same. My former favorite main course, the cauliflower with yogurt, has shrunk from a whole to about a third – as you can see in the photos. There was hardly any yogurt dressing left. For the price, it was simply too little – and overall disappointing. Sara & Gogi was truly an outstanding restaurant. I really hope it returns to that.

Supra was simply superb, with a wide variety of dishes, all excellently and deliciously prepared. Whether vegetarian, vegan, or fish and meat, there was something for everyone. I'd be happy to go back and highly recommend it!

I've eaten at Sara & Gogi several times now and it's been great every time! The service is always very attentive, friendly, fast and professional. There are a lot of special things on the menu and everything tastes excellent. Anyone who eats here should definitely not miss the Khinkali dumplings. It requires some skill when eating and the taste is great. I love the baked cauliflower. Although I don't generally follow a vegan diet, I have ordered it here several times because this dish is so finely put together that there is no meat or other animal component missing at all. It tastes great. But the meat dishes are also very good. It is a bit more expensive and therefore more for special occasions for us, but we always like to come here and the price-performance ratio is right. Everything is worth its price. All in all: a big recommendation!

A very high quality modern Georgian restaurant, which definitely stands out. Best Khachapuri with really delicious cheese filling and dough. Also really liked Chicken Tapaka. One downside: they don’t have lamb skewers and only beef instead. This is something we really missed here. Atmosphere is great, wine is very nice, we will come again.

Traditional Georgian hospitality is known worldwide, just like Israeli hospitality. Unfortunately, this is not the case in the “Sara & Gogi” restaurant.

The four of us had dinner at Sara and Gogi in the evening. The food, a combination of Georgian and Israeli dishes, was really delicious. In addition to the cocktails, there are various Georgian and Israeli wines, including open ones, that you should definitely try. The service is super nice, multilingual and you feel very welcome as a guest. We will come back.

I really have to force myself to order something different next time, just to try out the entire menu :) Service was great. We ordered the sourdough khachapuri with cheese and egg yolk (‘Ajaruli’) and the marinated chicken (‘Tapaka’), and everything was delicious. The sourdough was baked to perfection, and the chicken was incredibly juicy. Prices are on the higher side, though. We’d definitely come back and order the same again. Thanks to the staff for the great service!

My partner and I have been in Berlin for ITB staying at the Wilmena. They recommended dinner at Sara & Gogi. We were not disappointed. Coming from Melbourne Australia we are spoilt with the quality of food on offer. However we have never had Georgian/Israeli combination food and it was delicious. The staff are also really lovely and friendly, we enjoyed wine recommendations from Georgia and the atmosphere was lovely!

Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences I ever had. Everything tasted very good, food, drinks, and appetizers, the staff was nice and friendly, and the place was very warm and cozy. And something that stood out the most in the whole night was the dessert, both of the cakes were fresh and very, very nice. I am sure I will go back here to have more cake :)

We are lovers of Georgian cuisine. And this time we visited this restaurant. We were pleased with the khinkali with shrimp, but the khinkali with lamb did not have much meat and the taste was not amazing. We liked the beef lyulya, but the kebab was not ready, it didn’t look appetizing, they asked us to finish frying it. The prices are too high in my opinion.

It’s a great spot with delicious food. I highly recommend making a reservation since it’s usually quite busy. The food was excellent, and the service was decent. If you prefer a quiet and calm atmosphere, it’s best to visit later, as the restaurant is small and can get quite noisy. Overall, it’s a nice place that I’d definitely visit again. I paid with water (no alcohol) 100 euro which seems fine for the high standard they have.

I just ate at a restaurant and just want to say the service is excellent and the food is exceptional! I think the restaurant is a little expensive, but I can understand that the price increases in Berlin have an impact here too. I really liked the combination of Georgian and Israeli cuisine. The dessert was excellent, and of course the Khinkali were the best I've had in Berlin so far!

Very interesting dishes that were largely well received in our family. Overall a bit overpriced. You have to have some time, even if the restaurant is loosely staffed. We found the service to be mixed, from the strange, possibly humorous way in which a person at the entrance was forced to take off a jacket that they wanted to leave on, to the saying on the receipt "Tip is Not a City in Uzbekistan".

You have to try this restaurant because it has dishes that you won't find anywhere else. They are simply delicious. I can't highlight any of them in particular because they are all really delicious. Interesting Georgian wines, you can discover a lot there. Personal mini-deduction: It can get very noisy when full. Not everyone likes that. But apart from that: definitely go there.
