Don’t recommend eating here. The service was weird and not at all friendly, had to ask for everything except the menu and the waiter was often nowhere to be seen. The food was mediocre, we did have hairs in our food. The plants as decoration was an awful choice, bugs everywhere, we had to leave half of our drinks because of the bugs in it. We did get schnaps or espresso with the bill which was something nice but I wouldn’t eat here again. The reviews of previous years are good because that were different owners, last years we found this a good place but not anymore.

Fantastic restaurant across from the Moselcamping Bernkastel-Kues. I've been there several times, and the experience has always been excellent!

No!!! Grumpy service (probably the boss?). Drinks took forever. The schnitzel was over-fried, the fried potatoes were so-so and tiny, and the side salad wasn't great either. €22 for that was pretty steep. The whole atmosphere seemed a bit unkempt. I wouldn't recommend it.

Highly recommended. We were there just before closing time, but we still managed to get two pizzas. They were truly delicious!

A simple but very pleasant and cozy place. Very friendly service and an extensive menu. Delicious, large schnitzels. We had a wonderful meal there at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended 👍 P.S.: The Moselfeuer is a good alternative to Jägermeister.

Schnitzel and cordon bleu were pounded down by 2-3 mm. Sauces tasted of everything, just not what you'd expect. Fried potatoes were almost burnt. Paper bags of potting soil, fertilizer bottles, etc. were lying around everywhere. Staff stood 1 meter away in front of the open door, smoking. Any chip shop, on the other hand, gets 5 stars from me.

Friendly and polite service in a quiet environment, their schnitzels are amazing. Their pizza is also really good.

We ate here twice while staying at the nearby campsite. The service was great, the staff were friendly. The schnitzels were delicious (large and not too thick 😋). The cordon bleu is also highly recommended. I had the cordon bleu with Bavarian blue cheese. Delicious!!

Food is far too expensive for the quality served. The online menu is outdated and much more expensive these days! Drinks aren't good.

Four people came for dinner and drinks. All plates were returned 3/4 full. Salad was limp, dressing was disgusting, and fries had been reheated 2-3 times. Absolutely terrible. The seating was littered. We had to wait a long time for drinks. Not a single bit of music. Never again. Very unkempt and unprofessional.

We were at the restaurant two days ago. The food was very good. Rainbow trout, and I recommend the Cordon Bleu Classic. The service was okay 🤔 but be careful 😢 the dishes are 3-5 euros more expensive than advertised online 😭

The hot food is great all day long. Our dishes arrived piping hot. All four different dishes were very, very tasty. The surroundings could have been more thoughtfully designed; beautiful flower boxes, nicely planted, weeds removed. The service was very friendly, but didn't speak German very well, so communication was a bit difficult. But all in all, very good, especially the schnitzels. Thin, crispy, and generous portions. Everything freshly prepared.

Damn! According to the website, it's open until 10:30 PM on Tuesdays...after a long hike, I unfortunately discovered that the place is closed! Unfortunately, I have to give it one star, otherwise I can't post...😔

Schnitzel quite big, but veeery thin, 5mm, taste was good; but very thin. Fries were not even a handful, very little!!!!! 2 persons 2 beers, 65 € was expensive!!! There's a good range of food here but the service is terrible. Ordered two beers, got one. Ordered two different meals (one more expensive), got two of the same type of meal. As the waitress was setting the food down there was clearly a big piece of plastic in the mushroom source which I had to pick out. Went to pay at the end of the meal (food was fine) and they charged for the different meals. Paid but never going back.

We also got some last-minute food here on Easter Sunday. Both the schnitzel and pizza were delicious, and the staff were super friendly.

Unfortunately we were not satisfied with our visit to this restaurant. The service left a lot to be desired - we had to wait over 20 minutes for our drinks, without any apology. My food didn't come as ordered and was only replaced after I asked clearly. Unfortunately, the waitresses seemed very haphazard and overwhelmed. The quality of the food also didn't convince us. Fewer dishes on the menu and more care in preparation would certainly be the better way. Overall, everything seemed pretty disorganized - a shame, because it's the only restaurant in this town.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the Jerusalem artichoke restaurant, the food was super delicious, we ate schnitzel with pepper sauce and super pork belly with beans with rolls, next time I will try salad with shrimps, I'm already looking forward to the delicious dinner today... Good food makes you happy!!!

Four of us were there with a reservation and were seated in the annex. The ambience was actually non-existent and our seats right next to the door were very disadvantageous as there was always a draft when someone opened the door. One of us was looking forward to the pizza. Unfortunately the oven was broken and therefore no pizza was available. We then each had a cordon bleu. It was quite well filled, so you didn't notice how thin the meat was pounded; as already mentioned several times, the breading is thicker than the meat. Side dishes of fries or fried potatoes could have been a little more, but otherwise it tasted good. The side salad, which had to be paid extra, only consisted of some iceberg lettuce and 4 pieces each of pepper and tomato plus a little dressing, which was very reminiscent of ready-made dressing. I don't think it's justified to charge 5.20 euros for this. Desserts were on the menu, but none of them were available. The service was friendly, but everything took a long time, as has already been mentioned several times. Card payment still not possible. This is really no longer appropriate today. We had the impression that the restaurant as a whole was rather poorly prepared, there was probably hardly anyone else coming other than camping guests and the campsite opposite had just opened for the season that day. You should be well prepared, because many campers might like to come to eat more often.

The food was very tasty. We were there with 5 people. Decent portions, the price was reasonable and the service was also very nice and courteous. I can only recommend this location. There is definitely a need to repeat it.

On Christmas Eve we were well served with a 3-course Christmas dinner. Both innkeepers were very welcoming. A restaurant to feel good. Very, very tasty and freshly prepared. Highly recommended !

From the camper van parking space in Grad to the other side of the street. Nice welcome, large selection of Cordon Bleus. Food Excellent craftsmanship, everything tasted very good. We were hoping for a larger Moselle wine list, but there wasn't, but the Pinot Gris was still delicious. Recommended.

We were here for the second time today and were very impressed. The first time we had the “Schietwetter goulash”, today a “cordon bleu” and a Jerusalem artichoke soup. Not only is the food really great, but also the service staff, especially the boss. We'll definitely be back!! Were there for the 3rd time today. Definitely wanted to try the schnitzels. They would be great! We can 100% recommend the Jerusalem artichoke!

Family-run restaurant. Specialties include schnitzel and unusual cordon bleu. We came without a reservation and thanks to the hosts' improvisational skills we still managed to get a table outside. However, the adjacent street is busy. We had our dog with us. He was immediately given a bowl of water. Very attentive. We had two great cordon bleu with delicious fried potatoes. I strongly recommend making reservations here even during the week.

We were traveling as a small group. Super delicious food, very clean sanitary facilities, really nice hosts. Our side salad was unusually economical - after a short criticism we were given a huge bowl of mixed, crispy fresh salad. All the dishes were very tasty, and there was a little nightcap as a hostess gift from the friendly couple. We would come here more often if we didn't live further away. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen ohne Reservierung am Abend einen Tisch. Es war ziemlich voll Mitte September im Gastgarten. Innen gibt es scheinbar nur ein sehr begrenztes Platzangebot. Wir hatten Forelle und Cordon Bleu mit grünem Salat. Alles war sehr gut, wobei die eher auf Schnitzel in den verschiedensten Varianten spezialisiert zu sein scheinen. Zum Salat wurde ein mediterranes Brot gereicht. Der Salat könnte auch als leichte Hauptspeise durchgehen. Die Bedienung war äußerst bemüht und freundlich. Es hat auch sehr nette Livemusik gespielt.

Very good food with extremely friendly service! We had two schnitzels and the portion size was really good. The response to food allergies was extremely accommodating - waitresses like that are what you want everywhere! The restaurant is very easy to reach on foot from the campsite diagonally opposite.

The schnitzels are large and fresh. The fries are crispy and crunchy. The fried potatoes are crispy and not oily. So everything is good!

Friendly landlady who picks up interested guests well. Reservation is required as the nearby motorhome parking space is usually busy. The mixed side salad is measly and very confidently priced at €5.20. The schnitzel variations are also quite high, especially the turkey version (+2€). However, the quality was good and the quantity was still sufficient. Good eaters may remain a little hungry. Highly recommended fries as a side dish, but the fried potatoes were also okay. The ambience could be a little more pleasant. A mouse was taking a walk on the covered terrace.

Hier heel veel keuze uit verschillende schnitzels en cordon bleu’s. Het eten is gewoon goed en onder de gemiddelde prijzen. En dat terwijl ze het enige restaurant in het dorp zijn. De drank is relatief goedkoop te noemen. Een halve liter hefe weizen was 5,20. De bediening door twee zussen is buitengewoon vriendelijk, aardig en positief. Het zit altijd vol dus we zijn niet de enigen die zo denken. Wij komen hier in de loop der jaren al vaker. Gewoon een aanrader.

So, yesterday we had Jerusalem artichokes that were so bad I haven't eaten them in a long time. My husband had Cordon Blue Classic and I had Schnitzel Teufels somehow Ready-made sauce for the side salad probably comes from a ready-made package with chopped tomatoes and a terrible ready-made sauce! So I don't know where the people go to eat that praise the food so much. I felt really bad afterwards The service staff was nice but couldn't get it out either We don't go there anymore and not recommended, my husband had a hair in his food!! Worse than takeaway

We had dinner there from the campsite last night. The “Teufelswerk” schnitzel was really excellent and so were the fries. The waitress was very nice and brought our dog water without asking. There was a live singer who sang great songs. Great service. Anyone who rates the schnitzel as bad here has no idea. We will be happy to come back. The apple cider also tasted very good.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, after pointing out that there was hair in the food, the waitress only said she had to ask, but we received no response. Charged full price and no thank you or apology. This is very weak

Were at the motorhome parking lot diagonally opposite. Had a drink there in the early afternoon and reserved a table for the evening. The food was so good that we ate there again the next day. Price-performance is great! The portions are good. The operator is very nice. We will definitely go there again for a delicious meal and drink next time we are passing through.

Four of us had dinner there today. Unfortunately we weren't satisfied. The schnitzels were the thickness of a slice of sausage and were very flat. They consisted of 60% breading. The fried potatoes were okay. The pizza was also sparsely topped. When asked whether we were satisfied, we described it this way. The blame was then placed on the chef. We won't be coming back.

As a couple, we once ordered schnitzel Jäger style with fried potatoes and pizza Margherita. The schnitzel consisted of a piece of meat pounded to sausage starch, with the breading ultimately being twice the thickness of the meat. When we asked if it tasted good, the answer was: “Some pieces are thicker, some are thinner”. No official apology. The pizza had a whole 4 slices of tomatoes on an overall tasteless pizza. The reviews on their own website seem strange because they all lead to another restaurant via the Facebook button, which apparently no longer exists. But the business model seems to be: all tourists who only come once anyway. Then new ones come with no experience.

Had various schnitzels and also cordon bleu which were very good. I would no longer order a side salad and fried potatoes, the salad was cut very roughly and even the stalk was used. The fried potatoes were not crispy and full of fat. Ambiance isn't nice either. Would eat schnitzel and fries next time I visit. Attention: no card payment, only cash and PayPal.
