We were here for the second time today and were very impressed. The first time we had the “Schietwetter goulash”, today a “cordon bleu” and a Jerusalem artichoke soup. Not only is the food really great, but also the service staff, especially the boss. We'll definitely be back!! Were there for the 3rd time today. Definitely wanted to try the schnitzels. They would be great! We can 100% recommend the Jerusalem artichoke!

Family-run restaurant. Specialties include schnitzel and unusual cordon bleu. We came without a reservation and thanks to the hosts' improvisational skills we still managed to get a table outside. However, the adjacent street is busy. We had our dog with us. He was immediately given a bowl of water. Very attentive. We had two great cordon bleu with delicious fried potatoes. I strongly recommend making reservations here even during the week.

We were traveling as a small group. Super delicious food, very clean sanitary facilities, really nice hosts. Our side salad was unusually economical - after a short criticism we were given a huge bowl of mixed, crispy fresh salad. All the dishes were very tasty, and there was a little nightcap as a hostess gift from the friendly couple. We would come here more often if we didn't live further away. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen ohne Reservierung am Abend einen Tisch. Es war ziemlich voll Mitte September im Gastgarten. Innen gibt es scheinbar nur ein sehr begrenztes Platzangebot. Wir hatten Forelle und Cordon Bleu mit grünem Salat. Alles war sehr gut, wobei die eher auf Schnitzel in den verschiedensten Varianten spezialisiert zu sein scheinen. Zum Salat wurde ein mediterranes Brot gereicht. Der Salat könnte auch als leichte Hauptspeise durchgehen. Die Bedienung war äußerst bemüht und freundlich. Es hat auch sehr nette Livemusik gespielt.

Very good food with extremely friendly service! We had two schnitzels and the portion size was really good. The response to food allergies was extremely accommodating - waitresses like that are what you want everywhere! The restaurant is very easy to reach on foot from the campsite diagonally opposite.

The schnitzels are large and fresh. The fries are crispy and crunchy. The fried potatoes are crispy and not oily. So everything is good!

Friendly landlady who picks up interested guests well. Reservation is required as the nearby motorhome parking space is usually busy. The mixed side salad is measly and very confidently priced at €5.20. The schnitzel variations are also quite high, especially the turkey version (+2€). However, the quality was good and the quantity was still sufficient. Good eaters may remain a little hungry. Highly recommended fries as a side dish, but the fried potatoes were also okay. The ambience could be a little more pleasant. A mouse was taking a walk on the covered terrace.

Wir hatten Schnitzel Pizza und Fisch und waren insgesamt an drei Abende dort. Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker die Portionen reichhaltig. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und extra Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Rundum gelungen ein sehr nettes Restaurant

Hier heel veel keuze uit verschillende schnitzels en cordon bleu’s. Het eten is gewoon goed en onder de gemiddelde prijzen. En dat terwijl ze het enige restaurant in het dorp zijn. De drank is relatief goedkoop te noemen. Een halve liter hefe weizen was 5,20. De bediening door twee zussen is buitengewoon vriendelijk, aardig en positief. Het zit altijd vol dus we zijn niet de enigen die zo denken. Wij komen hier in de loop der jaren al vaker. Gewoon een aanrader.

So, yesterday we had Jerusalem artichokes that were so bad I haven't eaten them in a long time. My husband had Cordon Blue Classic and I had Schnitzel Teufels somehow Ready-made sauce for the side salad probably comes from a ready-made package with chopped tomatoes and a terrible ready-made sauce! So I don't know where the people go to eat that praise the food so much. I felt really bad afterwards The service staff was nice but couldn't get it out either We don't go there anymore and not recommended, my husband had a hair in his food!! Worse than takeaway

We had dinner there from the campsite last night. The “Teufelswerk” schnitzel was really excellent and so were the fries. The waitress was very nice and brought our dog water without asking. There was a live singer who sang great songs. Great service. Anyone who rates the schnitzel as bad here has no idea. We will be happy to come back. The apple cider also tasted very good.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, after pointing out that there was hair in the food, the waitress only said she had to ask, but we received no response. Charged full price and no thank you or apology. This is very weak

Unfortunately you can't pay by card, I think that should at least be pointed out. 🤷‍♂️ We still found a solution, so there are no deductions for this. All in all we felt very comfortable here. Were at the motorhome parking lot diagonally opposite. Had a drink there in the early afternoon and reserved a table for the evening. The food was so good that we ate there again the next day. Price-performance is great! The portions are good. The operator is very nice. We will definitely go there again for a delicious meal and drink next time we are passing through.

Four of us had dinner there today. Unfortunately we weren't satisfied. The schnitzels were the thickness of a slice of sausage and were very flat. They consisted of 60% breading. The fried potatoes were okay. The pizza was also sparsely topped. When asked whether we were satisfied, we described it this way. The blame was then placed on the chef. We won't be coming back.

As a couple, we once ordered schnitzel Jäger style with fried potatoes and pizza Margherita. The schnitzel consisted of a piece of meat pounded to sausage starch, with the breading ultimately being twice the thickness of the meat. When we asked if it tasted good, the answer was: “Some pieces are thicker, some are thinner”. No official apology. The pizza had a whole 4 slices of tomatoes on an overall tasteless pizza. The reviews on their own website seem strange because they all lead to another restaurant via the Facebook button, which apparently no longer exists. But the business model seems to be: all tourists who only come once anyway. Then new ones come with no experience.

Had various schnitzels and also cordon bleu which were very good. I would no longer order a side salad and fried potatoes, the salad was cut very roughly and even the stalk was used. The fried potatoes were not crispy and full of fat. Ambiance isn't nice either. Would eat schnitzel and fries next time I visit. Attention: no card payment, only cash and PayPal.

Schnitzels and sauces were good. As a side dish, one would have liked a little more of the eponymous root vegetable. The location itself is designed more for summer business. In the winter garden the temperatures are rather manageable in autumn.

Food was ok. Service so-so. Then we had a gourmet block, the waitress even made a note on the order form (wrote a voucher on it). However, this was not taken into account when paying. You can't win customers that way. If you offer this with the Schlemmerblock, then you should also take this into account.

I'm somewhat surprised at how little it takes to get four or five star reviews. It can actually only be because most of the guests at this restaurant are holidaymakers, be it from a nearby holiday apartment, hotel or from the motorhome parking space and campsite around the corner. You probably turn a blind eye to one or maybe even both eyes. In any case, I can't agree with the mostly good reviews. It starts with a relatively long waiting time to place the first drink order. So I took a glass of Riesling from the waitress, which she tried to deliver incorrectly to another table - the guests had ordered a Rotling instead of Riesling. At the same time, I took the opportunity and ordered a bottle of water, which came quickly. That was also the opportunity to order my food. As a starter I ordered an onion soup, which, however, was interpreted in an unconventional way - a dark broth with onions in it and, let's say, "extraordinarily" seasoned, with a toasted thin slice of white bread baked with cheese and brought to the table after about 30 minutes. Another 25 minutes passed between clearing the starter table setting and bringing the main course, which prompted me to order another glass of Riesling as no one came to the table and asked for more drinks. But the Riesling came really quickly. For the main course I ordered a “Viennese style” schnitzel, hoping that someone on the schnitzel-heavy menu would also know how to make schnitzel. Far from it - it was probably beaten by hand as advertised, but so thin that it was fart dry. There were also fries that were neither crispy nor tasty, but that's a matter of taste. It was also interesting that according to the menu, the schnitzel dishes are served with seasonal vegetables, French fries or fried potatoes. Anyone who believes, like me and two other guests, that the schnitzel dishes include seasonal vegetables and fries or fried potatoes is misinterpreting the sentence on the menu. Because there are either only vegetables or only fries or only fried potatoes plus of course the specially advertised lemon with the schnitzel. When asked about this, neither the waitress nor the boss showed any benevolent reaction or critical ability. I could now write more about the location, the furniture, etc., but I don't feel like it anymore. So just my personal impression and conclusion: tourist rip-off, definitely without repeat factor.

There were two of us there today. Ate a Cordon Bleu from the great Cordon Bleu selection and the stuffed trout. Both were super tasty. The service was friendly. Price-performance is completely ok. We were treated super friendly with our gourmet block and will definitely recommend the Jerusalem artichoke and visit it again. The delicious Aperol Spritz is also worth mentioning.

I would also have liked to give 0 stars. We came with a reservation, as did other guests. After a few minutes of waiting in the guest room, which was littered with papers and boxes, we were offered a place outside in front of the area covered in tarpaulins... Dinner outside at 13° with a reservation? I'm in the beer garden, but I don't like being pushed away.

Wir hatten über das Internet einen Tisch gebucht. Als wir zum Lokal kamen, gab es nur Tische draußen unter einem Pavillon (vorne offen) oder im „Biergarten“ mit Schirmen versehen. Da es abends im Oktober recht feucht wird, wollten wir drinnen sitzen, hier stand nur 1 Tisch mit viel Papierkram drauf und sonst nichts. Wir waren für draußen essen nicht angezogen und es wurde auch in der Reservierungsbestätigung mit keinem Wort erwähnt, dass sich der reservierte Tisch draußen befindet. Daraufhin sind wir gefahren.

There were four of us guests this evening and we announced both when making the reservation and when ordering that we would be ordering with a voucher book. When paying we were told that we couldn't redeem a 4:2 voucher, but only a 2:1 voucher. That's our fault, we should have said beforehand that we wanted to redeem the 4:2 voucher. But the landlord didn't ask when we ordered. So we had to pay €17.40 more. The innkeepers weren't particularly friendly and weren't willing to look for an amicable solution. The food tasted good, but the hassle and the treatment afterwards don't give you a holiday feeling, so only 1 star.

So I don't know what criteria are used to evaluate here. At first we were ignored by the waitress. We were then allowed to grab a table on the makeshift terrace. At some point the waitress came and took the order. At some point the food we ordered arrived. Cream schnitzel with fried potatoes and Jägerschnitzel with fries. The schnitzels were pounded to death and baked in the deep fryer. The hunters and also the cream sauce looked strange. That's how they tasted too. And for the hefty price...We went there because of the great reviews and were really disappointed. Maybe we had a bad day compared to the other guests.

We were staying at Mosel camping so this place was an obvious choice as it is only a few metres away. We visited on a Friday evening and the place was reasonably busy, apparently they have music on Saturday evenings. The menu is not extensive but the food is well cooked and the portions are large. As well as the normal pork that most restaurants in Germany offer, my wife ordered Salmon steak which she enjoyed, her only comment was that there was a lot of creamy sauce, but this must be normal for the area. Waiting staff were friendly but drinks service was slow.

Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis, große Portionen, Zander mit Bratkartoffeln war sehr lecker, Federweiser und Flammkuchen sehr zu empfehlen. Kommen gern wieder.

Hier bin ich Mensch, hier darf ich sein... Wer rustikal, lecker und ausreichend essen und trinken möchte, ist hier richtig. Ein echt freundliches Personal. Das Restaurant macht einen gepflegten Eindruck und die Toiletten sind sauber. Leider ist (bis auf den Aussenbereich) es nicht Barrierefrei. Auf Grund der Lage, kann es durch den Verkehr sehr laut werden. Die Preise sind annehmbar. Pro Person ca. 20-30 Euro.

Good outdoor setting, and a friendly welcome. However, service was incredibly slow - we spent over 45 mins waiting to order and another hour for the mains to appear. The staff were entirely sucked into serving a large group next to us and we were not the only table kept waiting unreasonably. The food - schnitzel - was average and in keeping with what we had previously eaten along the Mosel. Shame it's the only open restaurant in the surrounding area, some competition might improve standards.

Leckeres und reichliches Essen in einfacher, rustikaler Umgebung, freundlicher Service

The food was alright. Fresh and large portions. The service was okish. Friendly staff, however a bit slow. A few times we had to actively request service. Negative points for finding out that they only accept cash, something I am not used to and wasnt mentioned anywhere. Luckily Paypal was offered as a solution. It would've been nice if there were menu's available in English.

Das Essen war okay und zu meiner Verwunderung gibt es recht leckere vegetarische Gerichte. Ansonsten besteht die Speisekarte aus zig Varianten Schnitzel und Cordon Bleu. Wir saßen im Anbau, der sehr provisorisch und nicht einladend wirkt. Leider muss man ewig auf alles warten. Getränke, Essen, Rechnung.... Dafür steht das Personal gerne mitten auf der Terrasse und raucht. Wir hätten nach dem Essen gerne weitere Getränke bestellt. Nachdem sich aber über 30 Minuten keine Servicekraft hat blicken lassen, sind wir rein an die Theke zum bezahlen. Dort standen sie dann tratschend. Nachteil ist auch, dass nur in bar abkassiert wird. Trotz mangelnder Alternativen im Ort war dies unser letzter Besuch.

Im Sommer ohne Reservierung schwierig. Service war freundlich. Wein war lecker, unser Hund hat Wasser bekommen, Essen ging so. Konnte man essen. Der Wurstsalat war sehr fade, die Pommes waren lecker. Der Stramme Max war sehr wenig. Eine dünne Scheibe Brot, drei Eier und Schinken. Keine Garnitur. Irgendwie lieblos. Das Ambiente war eher ungepflegt. Wir würden nicht nochmal dort essen.

Eine sehr lange Wartezeit aufs Essen gehabt. Essen entsprach unserem Anspruch nicht.

Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, besonders die Pommes. Aber ich habe noch nie so ein dünnes Schnitzel gesehen..... Salat war nicht dabei. Für den Preis habe ich wesentlich mehr erwartet!

Das Essen ist gut und ideenreich. Das Servicepersonal ist (normal) freundlich. Die Wartezeiten sind aber eher lang und wir mussten oft aktiv nach Bedienung verlangen. Allergiemässig ist aber alles sauber deklariert und es wurde gut auf unsere Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Achtung: Hier ist Bezahlung nur mit Bargeld möglich.
