We only had drinks. The prices for the food were a bit too high for us personally. What was delivered to the neighboring tables looked very good and seemed to justify the prices. The staff was attentive, very nice and friendly. The view is magnificent. You should have done it once.

As a motorcyclist you don't tend to get served very well here - people who came after us had their orders earlier even though we only ordered coffee - maybe that was the reason

Went there spontaneously on a Saturday late afternoon. The friendly staff immediately found a place for a wine for two. The view is amazing.

Naturally, the location cannot be topped. But the coffee is underground. Water was carried past the bean, taking just a hint of flavor with it. Then the price: 4.90 euros per pot is definitely not a fair price for this thin drink. Better choose other drinks when you stop here.

We ordered a soup of the day and it was excellent. The cheesecake was also good and everything people next to us ordered looked good too. The ambience with the view is hard to beat and the furnishings are beautiful. However, the service was very inattentive. A lady felt like she was deliberately ignoring us. Even at 3 p.m., the other lady had no idea what the soup of the day was and seemed a bit overwhelmed. The wine is also served directly to the guests at the table next to it. All in all a good experience - perhaps the service staff should be given some training?

A hike here is worth it - you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Moselle and the vineyards. The food and drinks in the restaurant were good - the service was always friendly.

The restaurant is located directly in the castle and has a wonderful floor-to-ceiling glass front with a wonderful view of the surrounding area, the Moselle and Bernkastel Kues. A visit in the evening with sunset is particularly recommended. The main argument for the restaurant and the castle is the surroundings and the view! The restaurant is busy and reservations are recommended. The food is home-style and tasty and the service doesn't have to hide despite the turbulent environment. Getting there by car is a bit challenging and requires breaking some traffic rules if you drive straight to the castle, but this can also be achieved taking into account the STVO and a small, steep footpath.

The price/performance ratio is an absolute disgrace. The portions are far too small and not at all acceptable for the price. The taste of the food was okay and the service was friendly. The view of the Moselle was beautiful.

I highly recommend the castle restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were there with two elderly women who needed wheelchairs, and the staff opened a side door for us so they didn't have to climb any stairs. The food and the view over Bernkastel-Kues were simply fabulous. We'd love to come back 😊

Rarely received so disinterested and inhospitable. Bread was almost thrown on the table. Nice place but could not wait to pay and leave. Bah!

Very great atmosphere, especially if you get a seat by the panoramic window. Nice waitresses. However, you also pay for the ambience in the price. Steak was okay, but the 3 "giant prawns" were more than disappointing. Fried without any taste (butter, herbs, garlic) and were very reminiscent of the simple prawns from the discount store. Very disappointing for €9.50 - unfortunately. Soup of the day was great and chocolate cakes with ice cream at the end were really delicious.

The service was very nice and quick, even though it was very busy. The views of the Moselle and the inside of the castle were very beautiful. However, the cake was not homemade and seems to have been bought in bulk (it was still partially frozen inside). Considering that the food is rather average, the prices are high (e.g. €6.50 for a latte macchiato). Here you pay 2-3€ more because of the ambience.

Beautiful historic castle. For €1 you can climb the tower and be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Moselle.

We were there today to celebrate New Year's Eve, it was all well and good. But if the music is too loud, which is very unpleasant to the ears, it's no fun. And what's not possible is if you ask the staff to have the "DJ" turn it down a little, but then turn it up extra loud again 2 minutes later anyway, that's just not possible!!! And then you can forget about feeling good!! You expect the staff to stick to what you promise!!!! Impossible!!!!

When we arrived at the castle after a wonderful hike, our children immediately wanted to go to the restaurant. We actually thought that with the location and this chic it had to be a star restaurant. We were wrong. The Burg Landshut restaurant is by far the best in terms of cuisine and ambience. Price-wise it's completely okay. The view of Bernkastel is priceless.

We were there on a public holiday (All Saints Day) and didn't expect the restaurant to be open. It was open and we got a table right by the window with an amazing view of the Moselle. The service was top, but the furnishings were elegant but not upscale. Highly recommended.

The menu reads more elegant than it actually is. Quality of food average. Service friendly but slightly overwhelmed. The toilets are the last thing. Since they are used by EVERYONE who looks at the castle.... Help. It is pointed out that 75 cents have to be set up for the qualified staff, which I personally couldn't figure out. It's a shame when you can hear the kitchen staff arguing loudly while you use the toilets.

The four of us recently went to the castle restaurant in the evening and were lucky enough to get a seat right next to the large panoramic window. The view of the Moselle is magnificent, the food was appetizingly prepared and very tasty and the service was extremely nice and courteous. Therefore definitely recommended 👌🏼

Great location, it was difficult for us to find. It is located at the back of the ruins, so you will not see it upon arrival and parking is available if you want to walk at least 10 minutes. I find it quite dark in the evening.

The view is fantastic. That makes you feel more gracious towards the snail staff. My vegan tarte flambée for €18.50 was announced with plenty of vegetables. I was given tomato sauce, 3 sliced ​​mushrooms and 6 leaves of lamb's lettuce as a topping. For the price it's a disgrace. I would come again to enjoy the beautiful view, but I'd rather spend my money on food elsewhere.

The setting is beautiful. The view is beautiful and the restaurant looks neat. The kitchen is unfortunately simple, comparable to a cafeteria, which mainly applied to the main courses (although we had ordered simple dishes, but the menu does not offer much more). Flammkuchen and Kaisersmarren were tasty. Considering the photos, setting, and especially the hyped words on the own website, we really expected a little more from the food. But the view is still worth a trip to this place.

Was für eine Enttäuschung, und das ist milde ausgedrückt. Habe vor ein paar Wochen einen Tisch um 20 Uhr am Fenster reserviert. Kein Problem, bis wir dort ankamen!!! Tisch NICHT reserviert und Küche um 20 Uhr geschlossen. Ich habe noch nie eine größere Enttäuschung erlebt. Wertlos! Nachdem wir einen kurvenreichen Berg hinaufgefahren waren, hatten wir dieses amateurhafte Erlebnis. Desillusionierung und Dilettantismus vom Feinsten! Für uns nie wieder!

Really good food with nice views, service 10/10

We were there on a somewhat rainy Sunday afternoon and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Cake wasn't explicitly on the menu, but a small selection could be found (without name or price) in a glass cabinet. The overall quality was rather average and in no way justifies the exorbitant prices. However, the service could only be described as catastrophic - even though it wasn't exactly overcrowded. We still got drinks and cake, but after that there was nothing going on at the seats in the inner courtyard. Another group of visitors at the next table was completely ignored even after more than 20 minutes, and both another guest and we were only able to pay by speaking directly to the employee at the checkout terminal in the interior, as no one came to us even after we asked.

Fast and friendly service, that's all you want.

Ordered a table for 2. Unfortunately, the staff doesn't seem to be interested in serving guests. So we left hungry and then ate in the old town. It's a shame for such a great location

Unfortunately, the service was really not good, not even all the tables were occupied on Sunday evening and yet it still took 15 minutes to be served at the beginning. Food is generally okay, but the high prices are not justified. Breaded Camembert with cranberries and salad was ordered. When the food came there were no cranberries and when I asked they just said “I forgot to mention they’re out”. Ketchup and mayo were served as alternatives. The portion in the photo cost €14 and the price wasn't even fair. There is definitely room for improvement.

View is really good, food is good, but like a lot of restaurants at landmarks or viewpoints, service is indifferent at best. Not particularly welcoming but not actively hostile. Sort of puts a damper on the romance of the view.

Beim Besuch der Burgruine hatten wir ein Getränk und Kuchen. Beides war ok, die Bedienung sehr freundlich, Aussenbereich ok, Toiletten in puncto Sauberkeit eher grenzwertig.

Unfortunately the service doesn't do justice to the location. A pity! We made a reservation and were left standing. After asking several times if we could order something, we were ignored instead of served. We then left.. not recommended!

Excessive prices, lukewarm jacket potatoes, four stalks of green asparagus and a dollop of herb curd for 16.50 are not justified. In the asparagus salad you had to look for the green and white asparagus, which was cut into thin strips and resembled a children's portion and all this for €14.50. The plates were carelessly "slammed" onto the table by the waiter, but the waitress was very nice and friendly. We won't be repeat offenders at the restaurant.

Spargel mit Backschinken und Sauce Hollandaise. Spargel schecht geschält und mehr als bissfest - dafür süß und ohne Salz. Backschinken ohne krosse Kruste. Kartoffeln von gestern und kurz warm gemacht. Die Sauce eine geschmacklose Pampe. Und alles lauwarm. So schlecht haben wir wohl noch nie gegessen. Dabei ist die Aussicht von der Burg absolute Spitze und die Servicekraft war perfekt.

Such a nice place the eat! How can you beat that view 👀👀 the food was delicious. I got smoked salmon with a potato pancake and the steak and potatoes were delicious as well. The service was friendly and relatively quick. The chocolate cake with ice cream and whipped cream was also to die for. Would definitely recommend to visit!!

Perfect location, very decent service but... the cuisine really doesn't keep up. The prices are not prohibitive, but we are very far from anything approaching "gastronomic", and it's a shame with such potential.

We were able to spend our last evening of our vacation here today and combine good food with a magnificent view. We were happy that we were able to get a table right by the window despite having made a reservation at very short notice. The food (rum steak and salmon) was good, the espresso didn't suit my taste, it was much too thin for me. The service was friendly and also very child-friendly, which we found very pleasant. I liked the modern feel of the restaurant, except for the blue ceiling lighting. I found the toilet situation a bit annoying, as you have to leave the restaurant; in heavy rain, like during our stay, you simply get wet.

If you are in Bernkastel-Kues and want delicious food in a combination with a unique view and a cozy atmosphere, then you should stop by the Burg Landshut restaurant. Reservations can be made easily via the website or by telephone. Here it's best to ask for a seat by the window and then have the perfect view over the city while you eat - something very special, especially in the evening with the lights. You have to park a little way from the restaurant, so you have to walk a few more steps (from the restaurant to the car it's uphill later!). We were positively surprised by the absolutely moderate prices; we had expected more in this special location. The prices are just as family-friendly as the restaurant itself and the attentive service. Everything tasted really great & we will definitely come back next time we visit Bernkastel-Kues :-)

Leider viel zu überteuerte Preise. Latte Kaffee für € 6,90 - das ist auch der tolle Blick auf die Mosel nicht wert. Stühle waren zwar gereinigt worden vom Winterschlaf … aber feucht/nass und die Gäste mussten mit nasser Hose das Lokal verlassen. Nur eine gemurmelte Entschuldigung und keine Geste vom Haus. Sehr ärgerlich!

A stylish restaurant in a very special setting. The restaurant is located directly in the Landshut castle ruins. It is modern and invitingly furnished. Worth mentioning is the extremely beautiful view of the city below, directly on the Moselle. Certainly very cozy in summer as there is outdoor dining in the inner courtyard and above the restaurant. The staff is friendly but not particularly on the ball. The food seemed very fresh and of good quality. Unfortunately, the Kaiserschmarrn was not convincing. This was very dry and tasted very burnt in places. Therefore, unfortunately one star is deducted here. All in all, definitely worth a visit and a clear recommendation! When we are in the area again we will stop by for another visit. If you want to fully enjoy the view of the valley below, you should climb the still existing and accessible keep. When the weather is great, the view is worth it.

Nice atmosphere, food, great views! Theirs most expensive sekt is disappointing , not as good as most of the others in the Mosel region. dry riesling is good!
