I paid way too much money and then wasn't satisfied with the tip, didn't even get a "have a nice evening" or a thank you. What a place! And all my clothes stink. Not recommended.

Yesterday I ordered takeaway for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. The variety of excellent vegan dishes also impressed me. The restaurant received an award for its outstanding interior design in 2023, and after my visit, I understand why. I felt the welcoming atmosphere as soon as I walked in. Next time, I will definitely eat in.

We finally went there for dinner after a long time. There was a buffet, and everything was delicious. All the food was hot. The service was excellent; we sat outside, but there was always someone there to clear our plates right away and take care of everything unobtrusively. We'll be back.

The Indian restaurant in Bremen with the most beautiful and peaceful outdoor area. Everything is deliciously prepared. A real tip for Indian cuisine in Bremen. I think the Taj Mahal has by far the cleanest restrooms in the Bremen area. 👍🏼

Great atmosphere. The service is really friendly and very professional. You shouldn't eat here. It's really not good. A good place for a drink. The apology for the poor meal was very exemplary. They offered free espresso and mango juice.

A hidden gem in bremen. A lot of Indian Restaurants are simply overpriced. This one has fair prices and good portions. I especially recommend the lunch menus during the week. The ambience is authentic and very interesting. I feel like I'm doing a small trip to India. The service is great, even if you are a grumpy customer like myself when hungry, they still stay nice and smile warmly. Overall a great experience.

❌ Disappointing - beware of rip-offs!!! I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had lost money in questionable ways - behavior that is completely unacceptable. After I pointed this out, no attempt was made to clear up the misunderstanding, but I was met with rejection and excuses. A restaurant should be a place of trust, but here I felt betrayed. Unfortunately, I cannot make a recommendation and hope that in the future we will treat guests more transparently and honestly.

I can recommend anyone who likes Indian food to visit this restaurant. The food is an 11 out of 10, perfectly marinated, perfectly seasoned, it's just perfect! Very nice service, you always feel like you're in good hands. I also think the price is very good because the portions are very large. We always like to come back ❤️

First time there! It's just not for me! The ambience is in need of an overhaul, you should make sure that the chairs don't wobble too much! A little too used for my taste. Nevertheless, my dish was good, so I can't recommend it.

We come here regularly every 2-3 months for the Sunday buffet and have been doing so for 10 years. It's always delicious. Huge selection, including vegetarian dishes. The waitresses are hard-working, attentive and very friendly. Reservation recommended in advance. We will miss it very much when we move away from Bremen.

All the dishes I've eaten so far are delicious.

We have been here several times and are happy to take a journey of around 40km (approx. 30 minutes) by car. Guests are ALWAYS warmly welcomed and always served in a friendly manner. The ambience is incomparable, the food is authentic and very tasty.

Taj Mahal is definitely worth a visit. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want to enjoy a nice evening, you won't be disappointed here. I'd love to come back!

We had Vegetable Pakoras as a starter, which unfortunately only tasted like fat. For the main course we had the Alu Ghobi, curry with potatoes and cauliflower. The curry itself had almost no taste, and the sauce that we were given to sharpen it tasted so strongly of pepper that it was almost inedible. The restaurant itself looks good, the toilets are clean. The service was friendly.

We were there on Sunday. There was a delicious buffet. A friendly service. A look into the toilet is exciting, it is clean and well-kept and there is a small fabric towel for each user. Judging by the delicious food, the work in the kitchen is also well done. Thank you for the great Sunday meal!

Very long waiting times for drinks and food! Wrong, totally overpriced bill, a dish was billed 18 times, over 500 euros for 7 people!!!! Luckily we discovered the error, the bill was corrected, apparently the operator was new and had entered the wrong amounts into the cash register! We wonder what would have happened if we hadn't noticed the mistake????? There was only a terse apology

I'm glad I found this restaurant near me. A real asset! The food is great because the Indian spices are simply delicious and are good for the body, soul and spirit. The service is also super nice and accommodating.

Ambience and service top! Unfortunately, the food was hardly salted and seasoned, it seemed as if the food had been prepared and heated in the microwave. The sambosas were cold on the outside and extremely hot on the inside, which is not to be expected from a normal fried dish. Same with the chicken dish, it was extremely hot in some places and cold in others. The portions were way too much, one dish would easily be enough for 2 people. Overall, it was okay but not comparable to authentic Indian food.

Simply great! Ate the fish curry there! A “giant” portion. Very tasty and recommended! Rice, lots of vegetables and redfish! ... and on a side note: I have never seen such clean toilets in a restaurant! Dry your hands with small terry cloth guest towels! I was really impressed! 😃

We were there again spontaneously after many years and were very satisfied. Friendly and attentive service, it went quite quickly and the food was very tasty. Everything, including the toilets, looked very clean and well maintained. You can also apparently sit outside on the terrace. There is also a disabled toilet.

Very cozy and very tasty. The service is very friendly. It's cheap too. That was 6 years ago... Today things look completely different. Were there at lunchtime today and ordered lunch menu 1 and menu 2 once. The price-performance ratio wasn't right at all. A piece of meat in the sauce or 2 pieces of pineapple, the soup was very runny and there were also a few hard lentils to be found. All in all, it's actually not worth eating there for lunch. We noticed beforehand that it was very empty there. Others may have the same opinion.

We were there on Sunday and ordered from the menu. It was really tasty and filling. We had starter and main course. Our dishes were served in cast iron pans, it was super hot and still sizzling. As a side dish there was rice sauce and naan bread. We usually went to the buffet on Sundays, but eating from the menu is also really nice. The starter was gratinated cheese. There are 4 pieces and not two. Hunger was faster than the cell phone🤣 Main course was numbers 75 and 76.

Update: After a long time we returned here for a special occasion. I have no reason to change anything about my previous rating. The food was wonderful and the decor exudes the familiar flair. The toilets are also still in remarkably good condition. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Accessibility/surroundings: The restaurant is located directly on Osterholzer Heerstrasse. Parking spaces are on the street. Things could get a bit crowded at peak times. The restaurant can be reached by public transport via bus number 34 at the Osterholzer Friedhof stop (approx. 50m away). Ambiance: The restaurant has been very extensively renovated. It now exudes more Indian flair than ever before. The furnishings used are of extremely high quality and create a pleasant, warm atmosphere. The spatial layout is also very good. You never have the feeling of sitting “amongst a bunch of people”. Admittedly, it was very quiet when we were there, but even if the restaurant is fully occupied, I can well imagine that a certain “living room feeling” arises. It's rare that I feel the need to linger a bit after eating and enjoy another drink. This is the case in this restaurant. Food and drinks: If you're tired of the usual Chinese or Greek restaurant visit, this restaurant is a good place to enjoy exotic flair and foreign dishes. In terms of taste, Indian cuisine can be clearly distinguished from other Asian restaurants. The diverse spices make the visit a taste experience of a special quality. I had a lamb vindaloo (my request “extra” spicy) and was pleasantly surprised. There was also naan (flatbread) and Indian rice. Overall, a very balanced, delicious dish. The Indian rum is also very tasty and recommended! Staff: The staff is very friendly and customer-oriented. Foreign terms are explained and people are happy to give advice when choosing a meal. Hygiene and sanitary facilities: For this there is the 1+ with a star and a gold pin! I have never found such an exemplary toilet facility in any restaurant. The anteroom alone is already equipped with fabric wallpaper. Full tiling up to the ceiling, modern sanitary facilities, waste bins in the toilet area, scented sticks and disinfectants at the sinks and REAL towels for every guest. This means a lot of effort for the restaurant and gets an extra star. Conclusion: It's really fun to spend a cozy evening here. There are many very good restaurants with really good food. But I also like to linger here after dinner and end the evening with a glass of Indian rum. Everything is really true. It is worth!

Very nice, modern and yet traditionally furnished restaurant. Both inside and out, effort has been put into the furnishings and taste has been shown. We were there for the buffet and everything was freshly prepared, very attractively presented and tasted great. The two ladies from the service were very friendly and attentive, always helpful and Asian reserved. Overall we were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

It's nice to be able to "taste" it everywhere. Staff...very nice and attentive. Price... We were here for lunch. We paid 12.90 per person. We chose the meat menu. This is served in small bowls. This makes it possible to try several varieties. If you don't want that, you can also choose a dish from the lunch menu. The menu was preceded by soup and Indian bread. It was really delicious and we were more than full. We really enjoy coming here. I've eaten at other Indian places before, but this is by far my favorite. Thank you for the great service and friendliness.

Wir sind immer sehr gerne zum Taj Mahal gegangen, da die Currys sehr lecker sind und das Ambiente auch sehr einladend und gemütlich ist. Aber die letzten Male war das Fleisch leider nicht mehr ganz so gut und zart, wie wir es gewohnt gewesen sind. Auch die Menge an Fleisch in den Currys ist weniger geworden. Klar, das Gastronomen es nicht leicht haben und ihren Schnitt machen müssen, ist uns bewusst. Aber bei über 20€ für ein Curry muss alles tip top sein. Es ist immer noch lecker, aber das Taj Mahal hat leider nachgelassen.

Das Essen, meeeega, hatten die Vorspeise für 2 Personen, den Reis 1x mit Fleisch und 1x nur mit Gemüse... durch die Mandeln, Rosinen und Koriander einfach nur lecker. Der Service war spitze, sehr aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Ambiente sehr schön und gemütlich. Werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und die Karte durchprobieren. Danke für den netten Abend. 😊

Schlechtestes indisches Essen, das ich je hatte. Hatten 2 vegetarische Gerichte, eins davon ein Spinatgericht. Ich esse des Öfteren das Gericht bei diversen indischen Restaurants, noch nie so gegessen. Plus war es noch sandig, sprich man hätte es besser waschen müssen. Haben wir dementsprechend auch bemängelt, daraufhin kam aber nur die Rechnung und kein Verständnis. Kein Tschüss, kein nichts. Am Ende 40€ dagelassen, einmal und nie wieder!

Absolut wunderbare Erfahrung. Alle Mitarbeitenden sind so nett, freundlich und entspannt. Es gibt vorher einen Papadam mit Dips. Das Essen ist einfach super lecker, ich könnte die Schüsseln noch mit ausschlecken. Ich hatte um scharf gebeten, ich finde es so bewundernswert, es dann weder zu wenig scharf, noch zu scharf, sondern einfach perfekt hinzubekommen!! Ich werde garantiert immer wiederkommen!! Eine ganz klare Empfehlung! Aber Achtung!! Viele Bremer wissen, wie genial es hier ist, deshalb ist eine Reservierung sehr empfehlenswert!!!
