Restaurant Svea in Frankfurt am Main

Ich hatte als Vorspeise eine Fischsuppe, war interessant, etwas salzig nach meinem Geschmack. Die Kötbular war OK, ein tik trocken. Der Gurkensalat etwas verwelkt. Dessert mit Blaubeeren war zu süß und Krumbles leider zu trocken. Insgesamt war die Preisleistung geht so. Service war sehr nett und freundlich.

The fish soup was alright. Meatballs were nothing special, there was not enough sauce and they definitely were not worth the price. The high ceiling light gave the feeling of a terrarium.

The restaurant looks great, unfortunately the heating was broken and it was very cold. That was uncomfortable when it was 0 degrees outside. The food is good, but the portions are very, very small and expensive. The dessert was supposed to be a blueberry cake, unfortunately it was just boiled blueberries with a lot of sugar and no dough. I would rather not come again.

Finally been there again and loved it again!!! Great food, great service and such a lovely restaurant. We went there as a family for our birthday and we all ate and tried different things from each other - fantastic! Highly recommended!!!

I was very disappointed with the food here. I thought the meatballs at IKEA were much better than what was served here! The rest of the food also left much to be desired. Furthermore the service was sluggish and vaguely patronising. Not to be recommended.

The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately I find the food to be mediocre and quite expensive. The Köttbullar are somewhat mildly spiced and I would have liked a few more side dishes, the cucumber salad consisted of 4 pieces of cucumber.

We were unfortunately disappointed with the food and the value for money. Service was very friendly and attentive. We had a long wait even though it wasn't that busy. Main courses were okay, starters and desserts were bland and not particularly tasty. The "blueberry sour cream cake" for dessert was the worst: a few warmed blueberries with sprinkles on top and a dollop of sour cream on top for €10...

Super nice service, great and different food. In December there is a delicious Santa Claus. We'll be back...

I had the pleasure of eating at Svea Restaurant and it was an all around great experience! The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy, perfect for a relaxed dinner. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, you immediately felt welcome. The food was simply excellent: fresh, creative and prepared with a lot of love. Particularly noteworthy are the ingredients and the sophisticated flavors, which make every dish a real taste experience. The service was quick and professional without being intrusive. All in all, I can only warmly recommend Restaurant Svea. It's the perfect place for an enjoyable evening with excellent food and an all-round great experience! I'd love to come back :)

Cozy restaurant with excellent food. It's not cheap, but it's also something special. We were there during Advent and had the winter menu - 3 courses for €60. The only point of criticism is the service, which unfortunately wasn't quite up to scratch. The menu would have included mulled wine, but unfortunately it wasn't brought to us despite asking.

Schwedisch essen… mal was ganz aussergewöhnliches. Sehr schöne Location. Gemütlich und minimalistisch eingerichtet. Der Service ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Wir hatten den Kabeljau und es Köttbular ( natürlich nicht zu vergleichen mit dem IKEA Köttbular). Unbedingt mal ausprobieren. Ein kleiner Geheimtipp

Eating Swedish… something completely out of the ordinary. Very nice location. Cozy and minimalist furnishings. The service is super nice and accommodating. The food is excellent. We had the cod and it Köttbular (of course not to be compared with the IKEA Köttbular). Definitely try it out. A little insider tip.

Wir hatten das Svea hier über Open Table entdeckt und auf eine passende Gelegenheit gewartet, es auszuprobieren. Gestern war es nun so weit. Wir haben für 4 Personen reserviert und durften uns den Tisch vor Ort selbst heraus suchen. Es war überall schön mit Stoff-Servietten eingedeckt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Karte bietet für jeden etwas und all unsere Gerichte waren sowohl optisch wie auch professionell auf den Punkt zubereitet. Alles war frisch und lecker. Vorab gab es einen kleinen Gruß aus der Küche. Die skandinavische Schlichtheit der Einrichtung war sehr wohltuend und man fühlte sich dort sehr wohl. Die Toiletten waren blitzblank. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

Nice ambience, good service and excellent food. The price is a little higher, so you should be aware of that. But the small map certainly has charm. In my opinion, there is still room for improvement when it comes to the choice of drinks alone.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in Frankfurt and also very authentic - which alone is enough of a reason to visit. The (seasonal) menu impresses us every time; We were most happy about the birthday candles on the Kladdkaka during our last visit. Thank you again for the very attentive service! :-)

The toast was still really tasty. With the Köttbullar I would have liked a little more aroma/spice. A little more mashed potatoes for the amount of meat would also be great.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen. Aufgrund des Straßenfestes etwas laut (wurde uns am Telefon aber gesagt), ansonsten wäre es sicher sehr entspannt gewesen. Die Speisen sehr schön angerichtet. Alles frisch. Toll schwedische Küche in Deutschland essen zu können.

Lovely restaurant. It was a warm.l, quiet night and most people were sitting outside. The bread and sour cream spread, and the cucumber soup were unique and outstanding. The meatballs did not live up to their Swedish roots. They were bigger and less tender. But overall, I am so glad I went. A nice experience.

Haben uns bei einem Glas Wein drei sehr leckere Gänge vergönnt. Tolle und überraschende bei Vor- und Hauptspeise. Auch das Dessert war lecker - konnte aber das Niveau nicht ganz halten. Super freundliches Personal. Und ;-) wenn jetzt auf Sonderwünsche noch etwas flexibler eingegangen würde gäbe es auch die "volle Punktzahl" Toller Abend - danke.

We treated ourselves to three very tasty courses with a glass of wine. Great and surprising starter and main course. The dessert was also delicious - but couldn't quite keep up the standard. Super friendly staff. And ;-) if special requests were addressed a little more flexibly, we would also get “full points.” Great evening - thank you.

The space itself is typically Scandinavian stylish and is accompanied by Swedish music. Although the menu is quite simple, it is more than sufficient and extremely exquisite. Some people are a bit put off by the pricing. However, if you consider the high-quality products used, they are absolutely justified and you will be rewarded at least 5 times more in terms of taste and appearance - SMAKAR DET SÅ KOSTAR DET 😋 After our first visit, SVEA has become one of our favorite national restaurants. Ich war mit meiner Familie, die mich aus einer Kleinstadt besucht hatte, hier abends essen. Das Restaurant ist wunderschön eingerichtet und überzeugt mit einer ausgewählten Karte. Das Ambiente ist ruhig und eignet sich perfekt für Unterhaltungen. Alles in allem war alles perfekt! Zudem ist der Service ausgesprochen gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Bereits der Standort des Restaurants in Frankfurts Altstadt-Viertel versprüht ein Hauch von der GAMLA STAN i Stockholm. Die Räumlichkeit selbst ist typisch skandinavisch stylisch und wird mit schwedischer Musik untermalt. Zwar ist die Speisekarte recht überschaulich, aber dafür mehr als ausreichend und äußerst exquisit. Manch Einer/Einem wir die Preisgestaltung etwas abschrecken. Bedenkt man jedoch, was für hochwertige Produkte verwendet werden, sind diese absolut gerechtfertigt und man wird geschmacklich und optisch mindestens das 5-fache belohnt - SMAKAR DET SÅ KOSTAR DET 😋 Nach unserem ersten Besuch ist somit SVEA eines unserer liebsten überregionalen Restaurants geworden. I made a reservation 4 months in advance only to have it cancelled by the restaurant itself 3 weeks before. I contacted them to inquire about it and understand why they cancelled my reservation. I never got any reply. I'm sure the food is amazing, but in case of cancellation, I expect the restaurant to contact me and explain me why and potentially provide me with solutions (other date, small discount for future visit, etc.).

Super delicious restaurant with fine cuisine. We treated ourselves to the menu on Valentine's Day and still think about it, all six dishes were simply perfect. Great service and a very stylish and beautiful atmosphere. We look forward to your next visit! Reservations recommended.

Super Service, leckeres Essen, rundherum zufrieden, hier werden wir uns mit Freunden öfters zum Essen treffen.

It's the only Swedish restaurant in Frankfurt (apart from IKEA), but even if there were two dozen, it would probably still be the best. Not big like a company canteen, very pleasant atmosphere, the service is always attentive and usually to the point and you don't even have to criticize the food because there is simply nothing to criticize. The starters are so clear that you can still manage the main courses and they are proportioned so that you don't feel pregnant after eating them. We go there often and the menus change regularly, but so far all have been impeccable as far as we've been able to try. Even when it comes to problems with lactose and my companion's allergy, a solution has always been found that was able to preserve the harmony of the dish. When it comes to reservations alone, you should be careful; Due to the manageable size of the restaurant and the appropriate enthusiasm for it, it is always worth booking a week in advance, even if there is usually still a free table for spontaneous visits. All in all, a not cheap, but definitely inexpensive gastronomic star in the sky - and all without the horrible fanfare and astronomical prices of a star restaurant!

Nice restaurant with Swedish cuisine in the Brückenviertel in Sachsenhausen with delicious food! We made a reservation through OpenTable and were able to sit outside. The map is small but sufficient. There are dishes with meat, fish but also vegetarian and vegan options. We were greeted with a homemade sour cream dip. We ordered the prawn toast as a starter and the pork duet and barley risotto as the main course. Every dish tasted very good. Even if the prices are a little more expensive, the portions are sufficient and the prices are justified. Service was very friendly :) The only criticism was that we had to wait over an hour for our main dishes. Otherwise, we had a great evening and would happily recommend Svea!

We had a wonderful evening with great Swedish food, just like we were able to enjoy during our tour of Sweden. From the very beginning, the employees made us feel like we were having dinner among friends. We have rarely experienced so much hospitality when visiting a restaurant! The food is very well prepared and appetizingly presented. It's a little more expensive than usual, but we would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant if you want to treat yourself to a nice evening.

SVEA Svea is a small, cute restaurant in a district of Frankfurt. When we came in, we were greeted in a very friendly manner by a really likeable young employee. We were able to choose between three free places. I found it very pleasant. At the beginning we were brought a bottle of water and a little "foretaste" of the house: a great bread and Knäckebot with a curd cream with chives, just great. We shared an appetizer: A mixed salad with carmelized hazelnuts and a sweet dressing. If we had known how delicious it was, everyone would have ordered their “own plate”. The main course for me was: pieces of beef fillet, diced potatoes, stewed onions with a raw egg. I found the food really tasty. The meat was very tender and the onion went well with it. My husband had a "colorful" composition of beets (beetroot, yellow beets and kohlrabi and salad on top). Very light and tasty. We found the visit to Seva very calm and stylish. It was interesting to go out for a Swedish meal. The food was good, high prices. It's a shame that there was only bottled beer (this is understandable with Swedish beer, the German one could be on tap or not offer any German beer at all). We live in a land of milk and honey, and my wife found the prices too high as a matter of principle. Service and ambience were good.

SVEA-war klasse. Den Anfang machte eine duper nette und symphatische jung Bedienung. Der Platz den wir uns frei wählen konnte, war sehr schön. Die Vorspeise - ein Salat mit verschiedenen Beeten , war mega. Der Hauptgang - einmal Rinderfilet , Kartoffelwürfel und Zwiebel glasig gedünstet und zum zweiten eine bunte Variation an Gemüse- lecker, ohne Worte. Ich sage -Bestnote- in allen Kategorien. At some point I walked past it, as they said in Sachsenhausen We have to go there. So we were here tonight. So the ambience is very appealing, nostalgic with the barn doors but also modern. So something for everyone. The service is absolutely top class, but there is nothing to complain about. So let's focus on food. Even though we only had a rudimentary visit to Sweden, the food is simply a dream. The Skagen toast as well as the pickled beef fillet in the starter were a taste explosion. For the main course we had the deer and fish soup. Simply trained, gladly again

The Svea is a lovingly furnished small restaurant with a living room atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The employees are very friendly, attentive and in a good mood and the service is perfect from A to Z! The food...it's just phenomenal!! By far the most lovingly prepared dish I have ever experienced, and every ingredient on the plate is perfect. The white wines are also very tasty and go well with the food. I haven't tried any other wines yet. The price is a bit high, but if you want to treat yourself, every euro is well invested here. Fabulous!!!

The food was really delicious, not quite like in Sweden (meatballs are more German than Swedish). The service is really very good, we felt very comfortable and we didn't miss anything. The ambience is also very inviting and invites you to linger. The only drawback why 1 star was deducted is that it was very cold in the room. We both froze (which is a rarity for my boyfriend) and therefore decided not to have a dessert with wine.

We had a great experience here. The service was top-notch, and the food was great. The portions are of good size despite being fine dining. Absolutely recommended.

It was the first time I had Swedish food. I was treated very courteously. I had Kötbullar (pronounced Schöttbullar) with mashed potatoes, cranberries and a small, sweet cucumber salad. There was a light brown, fine and slightly sweet sauce. The minced meat was definitely without bread or breadcrumbs because the balls were compact and had a bite. As a welcome there was farmer's bread, crispbread and a cream with herbs, mustard seeds and the finest pepper strips. It was delicious. Unfortunately there are only 2 desserts and they are very expensive at €11 and €12. Anyone hoping to try a real Swedish cinnamon roll here will unfortunately find that this is not the case. I liked it a lot, they didn't see the last of me.

Der Service war ruhig, kompetent, kannte sich mit dem Angebot gut aus und hat uns hervorragend bedient. Ich war vollumfänglich zufrieden. Ich würde jederzeit wieder zu Svea gehen, eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Wieder ein toller Abend mit charmantem Service und hervorragendem Essen.

Wir waren begeistert von der Lokalität Svea. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Stimmung sehr gut, der Service freundlich und zuvorkommend, der Weißburgunder eine sehr gute Wahl. Meine Freundin hat sich gefreut, ein paar schwedische Worte mit dem Chef zu wechseln, der äußerst nett war. Allerdings waren unsere Beine von der hereinziehende Kälte am Eingang zu Eis gefroren. Das hat meine Stimmung etwas gedrückt. Das nächste Mal gerne wieder, aber nur im hinteren Teil des Speiselokals.

Als afsluiter de potpourri van kastanje en espresso met een aquavit. Het was een aangename belevenis om hier te kunnen eten. Een absolute aanrader om een minder gekende keuken te leren kennen.
