Occhio d'Oro in Frankfurt am Main

Das Dessert und der Wein waren sehr lecker, aber der Eindruck wurde völlig durch den Service ruiniert. Ich habe den Tisch im Voraus reserviert, um sicherzustellen, dass meine Freunde und ich einen Platz haben und nicht warten müssen. Als wir jedoch das Dessert bestellten, deutete der Kellner an, dass die Tische nur für Abendessen reserviert werden und dass wir unser Dessert mit Wein auch an der Bar genießen könnten – und falls sie den Tisch brauchen, würden sie uns umsetzen. Wenn das die Regel ist, dann informieren Sie bitte im Voraus, damit ich meinen Wein in einem anderen Restaurant genießen kann, ohne von meinem reservierten Platz für wohlhabendere und hungrigere Gäste weichen zu müssen.

The food was excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. A lovely atmosphere. Our date was fantastic, and the red roses on the table were a dream. A very nice restaurant with a fantastic view, excellent service, good food, a great wine selection, and delicious drinks. Only the chairs are a bit of an imposition for dining: Too soft, too low, and not at the right height for the table.

Giuseppe, the best server possible ✨ the glass of wine never empty, very kind and the other adorable servers. We took the 3-course menu with wine, each dish has its own explanation. The best address in Frankfurt that I can recommend ☺️

Simply too expensive for the performance.

This is the second time I have eaten at the top-floor restaurant. The last time I came here was before the epidemic. It was renovated and the layout of the restaurant has changed, but the design is just right :) You need to make a reservation in advance to come to the restaurant. You can make a reservation by phone or directly online. Once the reservation information is confirmed, it is OK. The service staff will bring you to the designated table. The dining table is large and wide with ample space. This is great👍🏼 My friend and I chose the 4-course Menü, because I was very hungry at the time. If you choose the 3 or 4-course Menü, both of you need to choose, and there is no fixed menu. The chef will give you "surprise dishes" based on the ingredients... I think it is quite interesting. The appetizers will be served to you according to the number of people. We got 4 appetizers, as shown in Figure 2-5. They all taste delicious and amazing. The shrimp and cucumber🀄️ actually tasted like Chinese food🥹👍🏼👍🏼 The difference between a 3-course meal and a 4-course meal is that there is a course of pasta before the main meal. If you are not very hungry, I personally do not recommend a 4-course meal because the pasta is average and nothing special. The main meals are shown in Figures 10-12, and there is also a mashed potato dish. I didn’t think the photos looked good, so I didn’t post them... The main dishes each have their own merits, but overall they taste good👍🏼 The dessert pairing is quite interesting, pear + chocolate mousse + pistachio cookie crumbs, I think the taste is just average. The service staff are humorous and friendly. The dining environment is comfortable and pleasant. You can go out to the balcony to blow air and take photos. The bar is at the end of the restaurant. The price is a bit expensive, but acceptable. The homemade chili 🌶️ oil in the store is great 👍🏼. It’s really great to eat it with fresh bread. The main thing is that it’s really spicy 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Highly recommended, will go again.

It's really nice to sit in and the atmosphere is very good. The food was also good - we especially enjoyed the dessert. The bar is well stocked and slightly separated from the restaurant. Generally a bit expensive but you pay for the view of the skyline. Service is extremely good and really warm, you feel very well looked after

I got a table as a single guest without registering. Thanks for that! The space in the open kitchen was too busy for me. Do you know “The Table”? You don't even hear the chefs! The bench to the table was too low (the entire neighboring table made fun of that because the four men felt the same way). 6 euros for bread/olives/oil are unnecessary. The fennel starter was perfectly prepared - but sourly bland. Roast beef very well done. Very dense white chocolate brownie. You have to be measured by your price requirements and unfortunately that doesn't fit 100% here.

We had an amazing time at Occhio d’Oro, enjoying a delightful 3-course set menu specially crafted by the chef with fresh, seasonal ingredients, most of the dishes weren’t even on the menu! Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm, der Service freundlich.wenn man sich mal etwas gönnen ist dies der richtige Ort. Es gibt auch sehr gute alkoholfreie Hugo die meinen Gästen gut geschmeckt haben. Der Wein war gut und auch die Speisen fanden haben allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Es ist nicht günstig aber ich finde der Abend war sein Geld wert!

Very nice experience, after dinner for New Year's Eve, the view was wonderful, the place was very beautiful and attention to detail was taken, the service was not impeccable but it was New Year's Eve and it is understandable... the dishes at the counter were collected after a long time and there wasn't much space to place the glasses. The prices are obviously quite high.. but that's normal!! Too bad there wasn't simple prosecco... 50 euros each to stand at the counter is excessive but you're paying for the view. The very nice and classy environment with very polite customers.

Let's start with the positive: very nice location and nice ambience. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. What did we have? The 4 course menu for 79€ Eating: ambitious, but unfortunately unable to do it for long stretches. No timing. Inadequate presentation. Starters: oh well. A mishmash, none of it really good. Pasta course: ok Main course: Meat and fish were cold. Side dishes were the saddest thing I've had at an Italian restaurant in a long time. Dessert: I can't say anything about it because by then I wasn't interested anymore due to the quality, the waiting time (3 hours) and the service. Absolutely no recommendation. Price-performance: underground. Too bad.

Wir sind davon ausgegangen was zu essen leider stand nirgends wo das man nur da essen kann wenn man um 17uhr da ist, wir waren super enttäuscht und hungrig und hatten eine lange Anfahrt dahin da wir nicht von da kommen, und haben für den Eintritt 55€ bezahlt wo wir meinten es wird sich lohnen da man da schön essen kann und eine schöne Aussicht haben wird aber leider war das nicht der Fall sind dann doch nicht länger als geplant geblieben wollen noch die Aussicht um 0uhr noch genießen wenigstens das die 55€ Eintritt sich wenigstens ein wenig gelohnt haben und sind dann anschließend wo anders essen gegangen die uns besser aufgenommen haben als da !!!! Da haben wir was in einem Silvester Abend mir was ganz anderes vorstellt !!!!

Waren für die Silvester Nacht Wiederholungst und es war wie immer top. Essen mit Weinbegleitung top. Auch der Service war trotz Unerfahrenheit sehr bemüht und hat sich ein extra Trinkgeld verdient. Alles tip top organisiert und die Kulisse spricht für sich.

We had a table for December 28th about 1 week in advance. reserved. In the reservation we asked for a quiet table. When we arrived we were assigned a table in the middle of the restaurant with essentially elbow contact with the two neighboring tables. The waiter came quickly with the cards and explained to us that the restaurant would be closed for 4 days starting tomorrow and therefore a few things would not be available. Half of the menu and the menus were defacto not available. While we were listening to this, another colleague came and added more dishes that were no longer available. What was most important to the waiter was that it wasn't his fault and that we shouldn't be mad at him. We then left again and found another nice restaurant. However, we found both the fact itself (either you are up and offering what you advertise, or not) and especially the way you deal with it really disappointing.

Really great!! The service is extremely attentive, professional and friendly. All of the dishes we had in the 4-course menu tasted excellent. The cocktails were also exclusive and delicious. The view on the roof terrace is beautiful. Absolutely recommended.

M.E. der beste Blick auf die Frankfurter Skyline! Dazu ein hervorragendes italienisches Essen. Die Speisekarte ist zwar überschaubar, dafür ist alles was angeboten wird von hervorragender Qualität. Dazu eine ebenfalls überschaubare Weinkarte, die aber ausgesuchte Positionen zu sehr fairen Preisen bietet.

Mein Wunsch auf einen Fensterplatz wurde dankenswerterweise problemlos berücksichtigt. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente und der Ausblick auf die beleuchteten Hochhäuser war sehr schön. Das einzige, was ich zu bemängeln hätte waren die gepolsterten Stühle/Bänke. Da ich nicht die Größte bin und man auf den Sitzen etwas eingesunken ist, saß ich etwas zu tief am Tisch. Aber ich konnte noch über den Teller schauen 🤣. Beim Essen gebe ich einen Punkt Abzug, da es bei mir und einem Freund am Rand verbrannt war. Ich habe das verbrannte abgeschnitten und natürlich hat der Rest geschmeckt, aber bei dem Preis hätte ich das eher nicht erwartet 😅. Das Paternoster fahren hat uns dafür aber wieder entschädigt 😉

Toller Ausblick, allerdings ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht angemessen. Für eine Handvoll Erdnüsse €4,5 und ein Gedeckpreis, obwohl alle nur ein Vorspeise an einem Bartisch nehmen, nenne ich maximale ökonomische Optimierung. Ein sehr guter Service könnte versöhnen, ist allerdings Fehlanzeige.

What a disappointment - the bar was half empty and we were told we had to wait outside until something became available! There was hardly anything going on at the bar - which idiots are there? I have never experienced anything like this!!! Bad, bad, bad! Incompetent!

We had a wonderful evening with our team and were very pleasantly accompanied throughout the evening by Samim. A very tasty meal and great wines contributed to a thoroughly positive evening. Our participants with allergies and our vegan colleague became just as full as everyone else. We'll definitely be back, thank you very much!

Das Ambiente war sehr angenehm, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam, die Karte übersichtlich und es war für jeden etwas dabei, die Preise nicht überzogen, die Speisen sehr gut, die Portionsgrößen für ein solches Restaurant dieser Kategorie nicht klein, sondern dem Appetit der Gäste entsprechend angemessen und die Getränke immer passend! Auf Wunsch bekamen wir einen Tisch am Fenster. Rundum ein gelungener Abend im passenden Rahmen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

This review is aimed at brunch only. We had brunch in this restaurant for the first time. The price is currently just under €70 per person. Basically you can say that the ambience is nice and the view of the skyline is also very good. Unfortunately the space around our table was really limited (on the left when you come in). We didn't sit at the window but on the other side. The tables here were very close together. If you're not careful, you'll find yourself hanging with your butt on the next table on the way to the buffet. That immediately depressed the mood because you heard everything your neighbor said and vice versa. The dishes were divided into cold and warm starters, the main course could be ordered several times. There was enough to choose from and it worked, but it was also manageable. In terms of quality and taste it was very good. What was unpleasant to us was that the pretzel sticks were sold out relatively quickly and none were restocked. The “warm” appetizer buffet was unfortunately cold, even though it was under a heat lamp. Our neighboring table felt the same way. It was also not optimally arranged and a “traffic jam” quickly formed. In some cases there were no plates left. The service was friendly and tried hard, but some orders were missed and it wasn't always cleared away straight away or only some was taken away. All in all it was ok, but for 70€ or 140€ for two people it wasn't justified and we won't do it again.

We went to brunch and it was certainly underwhelming for the price (€70pp). The food was the split into three sections: -the “breakfast” section which contained no eggs and was akin to a sad hotel buffet breakfast. -the “lunch” section where food such as chicken breasts were split into tiny pieces and heated under the lamps for so long that they became chewy. - the grilled options; steak, salmon or octopus in comically small servings. In addition there was a desert area but the deserts had largely run out by the time we got there. As had the usable cutlery. The vibe is very much grandparents with small grandkids. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, underwhelming and certainly not worth the price.

Our evening in the Hotel Flemings restaurant was an absolute highlight. We were lucky enough to get a wonderful table right by the window which gave us a great view and completed the atmosphere perfectly. By combining it with our hotel room, we were able to enjoy an excellent three-course meal. We found it particularly nice that the food was placed on small plates in the middle of the table so that we could help ourselves very easily - a really sociable and well thought-out concept. The quality of the food was excellent. Every course was a delight and prepared with great attention to detail. In addition, there was first-class service: the waiters were extremely friendly, courteous and always attentive without seeming intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the restaurant and can highly recommend it - a wonderful culinary experience that should not be missed.

There are normal- and then there's Occhio d'Oro!

This cute restaurant is located on the top floor of the hotel Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt-City, where we are staying. Everything at breakfast was delicious and the selection of snacks was not bad. Maybe we can consider that breakfast is a little expensive here. The staff is very helpful. From here you can enjoy excellent views. Nearby is the historical and very beautiful gate tower of the citadel of the medieval city, which has come down from 15th century to us unchanged.

Wie immer war der Besuch beim Occhio d'Oro einzigartig. Wir hatten um einen Platz am Fenster gebeten und haben diesen auch bekommen, was uns sehr gefreut hat. Die Cocktails waren natürlich wieder vom aller Feinsten, insbesondere der Pina Colada und der Service war auch aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns für das Vier Gänge Menü entschieden und obwohl es eine Zutat gab, die mir normalerweise geschmacklich einfach nicht zusagt, war das Essen super lecker und einfach zu genießen. Meine Highlights waren definitiv die Antipasti.

Wir waren geschäftlich mit internationalen Kollegen dort und haben das Menü gewählt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir haben das Essen mit der Aussicht sehr genossen.

Das Ambiente ist fabelhaft, beginnend mit der Auffahrt mit dem Paternoster, die Einrichtung und natürlich der Ausblick sind fünf Sterne wert. Zu Beginn wurde uns ein Aperitif angeboten, welcher auch sehr schmackhaft und originell war. Leider ging es ab dann Berg ab. Wir hatten das vier Gänge Menü und waren vier Personen. Bei jedem Gang wurde das Essen für alle in der Mitte aufgetischt und man hat sich davon auf den eigenen Teller herunter genommen. Das Essen war lecker aber mehr auch nicht. Unsere Erwartungen wurden bei Weitem nicht getroffen. Es war wenig raffiniert und den Preis nicht Wert. Der Service war freundlich aber eher unaufmerksam. Außer dem Aperitif wurde uns kein weiteres Getränk angeboten, auch kein Kaffee zum Dessert. Eine Getränkekarte gab es nicht, lediglich eine Weinkarte. Wir sind letztendlich mit 100€ pro Nase raus gegangen. Echt schade, aber die Küche müsste zwei Schippen drauf legen.

So let’s start with the good. The service is very attentive and friendly. The ambience is of course strong with the skyline view and almost unique in Frankfurt. I also like to come back for a drink in the bar. However, the Occhio d'Oro didn't convince me from a culinary point of view. I had the 4-course menu for €79. According to the map "A journey through the flavors of Tuscany". In reality, unfortunately, a disappointment. Antipasti variation to start with is still great. Then it went downhill to mediocrity. Dry fish, dry hare. Plus dry potato wedges. Not bad in terms of taste, but not good either and certainly not according to the price. According to the menu, the “refined dessert selection” consisted of cake and two scoops of ice cream. I would have expected more creativity and sophistication... a real "journey through the flavors of Tuscany". For the price you can get better culinary options in Frankfurt. My tip: If you come for the view, just have an aperitif in the bar and then go to a better restaurant.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend bei Occhio d‘Oro. Wir kamen eine Stunde vor unserer Reservierung, da wir bei dem atemberaubenden Ausblick noch ein Cocktail auf der Terrasse genießen wollten. Das war kein Problem und unser Tisch war sogar schon fertig. Trotzdem waren wir erstmal draußen und die Cocktails bzw. Bar ist wirklich besonders. Der Barkeeper geht auch auf individuelle Wünsche toll ein. Alle anderen Servicekräfte waren auch stets super freundlich. Meine Mutter hatte Geburtstag und es wurde von allen höflich und nett gratuliert und auch auf Wünsche eingegangen (Kerze auf Tramisu). Das Essen (Maishähnchen und der Wolfsbarrsch) mit Beilagen waren beide vorzüglich. Der Wein ebenfalls sehr lecker. Einziger (minimaler) Minuspunkt ist, dass das Essen relativ sehr schnell kam (Geschmacksache, ich mag es erstmal ein wenig zu trinken und zu reden bevor es direkt ans Essen geht). In allem aber eine top Experience vor allem bei dem Ambiente und Ausblick etwas ganz besonderes.

Super nice restaurant on the 7th floor with panoramic views of the city. There is also a terrace. The food (sea bass, fennel salad, osso bucco, tiramisu) tasted very tasty and the staff was, with one exception, very friendly and accommodating.

Wir haben Occhio dÒro das erste Mal besucht und sind begeistert. Es hat alles gestimmt, das Ambiente, das Essen, die Freundlichkeit und Zuvorkommenheit des Personals - wir waren rundherun mehr als zufrieden, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen mit Sicherheit wieder. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Ein besonderer Abend mit exzellenten italienischen Speisen in schickem Ambiente des Restaurants occhio d’oro - Anlässlich des 19. Geburtstags unserer Tochter verbrachten wir hier zu fünft einen wunderschönen Abend - toll angerichtetes und leckeres Essen, mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf die Skyline von Mainhattan auf der einen Seite und zur anderen geschäftiges Gewusel der Küchencrew in der offenen Küche… Giuseppe, unser versierter und freundschaftlicher ‚cameriere‘ ließ keinen kulinarischen Wunsch offen und kümmerte sich mit Herz und Seele um uns. Wir kamen als Fremde und gingen als Freunde. Era la prima ma non ultima volta qui 😍… wir kommen gerne wieder

A special evening with excellent Italian food in the chic ambience of the “occhio d'oro” restaurant - on the occasion of our daughter's 19th birthday, the five of us spent a wonderful evening here - beautifully prepared and delicious food, with a breathtaking view of the Mainhattan skyline on one side and on the other the bustle of the kitchen crew in the open kitchen... Giuseppe, our experienced and friendly 'cameriere' left no culinary wish unfulfilled and looked after us with heart and soul. We came as strangers and left as friends. Era la prima ma non ultima volta qui 😍… we would love to come back

Very tasty, great service but chairs too low. But that's the only thing to complain about. The map isn't overwhelming either.

Ein besonderes Ambiente mit Blick über Frankfurt. Ein zuvorkommender Restaurantleiter und freundliche, umsichtige Servicekräfte. Ausgewogen zubereitete Speisen, die ansprechend angerichtet waren. Sehr zu empfehlen.

The service was good, as was the ambience, but I have never eaten a menu where the dishes were so poorly coordinated. The price-performance ratio just wasn't right for me.

The place is located in a very nice hotel and has a breathtaking cityscape. The food is very good and the price is consistent with the quality of the dishes. The service is very efficient and the staff very friendly and helpful. Among all, Francesco stood out, a waiter who was not only professional but also very nice and made our dinner very pleasant and fun. I chose the four-course menu and left the restaurant full and satisfied.

Unfortunately, there is NO indication of the booking status of the bar on the ground floor, you go upstairs and wait to avoid being fobbed off in such an unfriendly manner with the message, sorry, we're not taking walk-ins today. Why is the appreciation of the potential guest so difficult to make clear on the ground floor? Then the elevator ride is the guest's decision. Unfortunately, this is not the only restoration where something like this happens. Appreciation for the guest - none. A simple blackboard on the ground floor would be sufficient.
