Highly recommended, chicken kebab pocket and of course a real kebab pocket, both types of meat very well seasoned, the salad not littered with parsley like some others. Staff very friendly and the price-performance ratio is reasonable (I would just be interested in whether the meat is from a young bull?)

Was there a few hours ago, the waiters don't know which way is right and left. Starter comes together with main course and the meat is like chewing gum. I'm a Turk myself, I've never seen or eaten anything like that in my life, 50 EURO just for trash. This store doesn't even deserve 1 star (NOT RECOMMENDED)

We had dinner there yesterday. We ordered chicken skewers. I don't know when this meat was from. It smelled and had an aftertaste. We have been going there for over 20 years, but the quality has deteriorated extremely. Service is top!!!

We ate there earlier, and as soon as it was cleared away, the next guests were brought to the table and then stood at the table to sit down. When I went to pay (I wanted to pay beforehand), I wasn't even finished with my drink and I wanted to eat or drink dessert and a drink there. By that time, my husband and son were already up and ready to go because the others were standing at the table and waiting. My husband held out my jacket for me to put on and the following guests were about to take their seats! Had to leave without eating dessert. The motto is definitely: eat and go quickly and not a nice meal in peace. Thank you for the “nice evening!”

Hi, I would say that I've eaten in many places but none like this (in a negative way). The meat was too hard, in good German terms, and the Iskender wasn't very tasty because a lot of things went wrong during the preparation. No hygiene rules were observed, and there were no starters such as bread because we were lied to that there weren't any, but 2 minutes later the supposed starter that "wasn't there" was on the table with others. The service wasn't particularly good either, as we had to ask for the menu. Conclusion: the 4.8 stars are completely out of the "ASS" and I would give a maximum of 1.5 stars because I was actually in a good mood (before eating). because the cola was the highlight.

Came here for a celebratory dinner, and was very happy with the results. The food was delicious, the service prompt and attentive, and the portion sizes were generous. While I am a fan of the casual Dönner places, Sultan Saray is a step up in quality. Highly recommend trying one of their excellent starters, as those are always tasty and a good way to start the meal. Will be returning for sure.

I ate at this place as did my family 2 days later. Pure disaster, we were offered expired soup and it was even served! I had a Dürüm and it came out of my stomach (broken) just as quickly as it was eaten. This store should be closed, pure catastrophe, as well as service and all the trimmings. If you are interested in vomiting the food you eat the same evening, then you have come to the right place at Sultan Saray Gelsenkirchen Buer.

Just awesome. The staff is extremely friendly, quick and skilled. The food is cheaper compared to other restaurants and is still super tasty and at the same time very generously portioned. I really don't have anything to complain about except that it's really loud in the restaurant. It felt like everyone was screaming and it was a bit uncomfortable in the long run. Otherwise really recommended! Will definitely come back.

Extremely sour, the food was always great, I was always satisfied. Totally disappointed today. Ordered the house starter, top course as always. My husband's food came after 20 minutes, then "my" dish came, which wasn't mine but belonged to a lady who came a while after us. I pointed out to the waitress that it wasn't my order and she asked me what I had ordered. I told her what I had ordered and she said she would take care of it. All well and good, my husband's plate is empty and my food is still not there. Unfortunately, the mood goes down and such a mistake unfortunately results in negative reviews. Then 30 minutes later the staff informed me that the food still hadn't come, the man had finished eating and I had to be patient. Don't be patient if you soon have to wait 1.5 hours your appetite will go away

Unfortunately DISAPPOINTED My reservation at Sultan Sarayi in Gelsenkirchen was uncomplicated and went well. The service was also very friendly and understood everything quickly. The food came complete and correct. Unfortunately, there were some disappointments with the meal: the salad was neither crisp nor particularly tasty, and the rice was too heavily buttered, which overpowered the flavor. The kebab meat was particularly disappointing - it had no taste and was completely unseasoned. I could barely enjoy it and even the sauces couldn't save the dish. In fact, I still have an unpleasant feeling from this meat. Overall, it was a mixed experience - while the service was fine, the food unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations.

It was a place I've been to before, but I wanted to go again today, but I couldn't find the old warmth. The food portions were smaller, the plates were prepared sloppy, and the prices were quite high. But the real reason why I was dissatisfied was because of a sullen, brunette waitress with the wrong style. While taking our order. "I said I want a Coke Zero." - He asked again, "Coke or Zero?" he said. Please warn your employee (other employees were definitely friendly) if he doesn't like this job, he shouldn't do it. We don't have to live these ridiculous dialogues. After all, we come there to have a good time with our money.

We were there this evening and I thought the food was good, but the waitress needs to be trained on how not to scare off customers and look at them and treat them so listlessly with zero interest, she went back and forth the whole time and always had me and mine friend looked askance at for no reason either she was jealous or is super bitchy (the waitress is short and has long black hair and never laughs) she should learn a bit of friendliness. Everything used to be much better at Sultan Saray and tasted better too. Doner kebab was dried out. Bread wasn't fresh. The Iskender sauce was sour and not tasty either. We ordered small, but paid large, so be careful at the checkout. The only thing I liked there was the yogurt and fries. Unfortunately I have a stomach ache today. I won't eat there anymore.

Best kebab shop, we drive 15 kilometers for it. The quality is right here, whether the meat, the salad, even the fries taste better than in other shops.

We ordered a grill plate for €25 each and were unfortunately very disappointed. The plate was small, there was only a small amount of meat, and the majority consisted of fries - you certainly don't pay that price for that. In addition, some of the meats that the menu said were supposed to be included were missing. Overall, the portion was very meager and not at all comparable to the standard that I know from other Turkish restaurants. To make matters worse, there was a foreign object in my soup that looked like dust particles or hair - that's not possible. A disappointing experience that I cannot recommend. You also couldn't pay by card, which is always a bad sign for me anyway.

Great Turkish restaurant with authentic dishes I recently stayed at Sultan Saray in Gelsenkirchen and had a very good experience. The food is really tasty and authentic – the meat dishes and the freshly baked flatbread are particularly a highlight. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is good. The atmosphere is cozy and you feel welcome. One small criticism is that the service was a little slower on the day we visited, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. Nevertheless, the employees were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, a recommended restaurant if you are looking for authentic Turkish cuisine!

I've been eating here for years, but recently the kebab meat has suddenly become extremely greasy. The older gentleman at the counter and the young man with glasses always make small portions so that for €6.50 you get a salad bag instead of a kebab bag. Tam miser the one with glasses!!

The way people with walking disabilities are treated and it is assumed that they have drunk alcohol is simply disgusting!!!! It is offered that you show your disability certificate... it is denied and it is further assumed that you have drunk alcohol. A disabled person was simply thrown out of the store... just an outrage.

Unfortunately we received inedible food at a late hour, the meat was relatively rubbery and gristly. Price/performance unfortunately inadequate!

Wer diesem Döner mehr als ein oder zwei Sterne gibt, hat entweder keine Ansprüche oder ist total voll! Die Döner-Qualität tendiert gen Null. Komplett trocken, lieblos. Die Servicekräfte sind mehr als unfreundlich. Es gibt in den Straßen drumherum ZIG bessere Döner-Läden!

The best kebab shop I've seen in Gelsenkirchen so far. And I think those at the counter are the least responsible. The store has to have something, otherwise it wouldn't have been doing so well for years. If something is wrong, the meat is raw and there is not enough meat in it, then you are welcome to tell us and we will try to do the best for you. We always try to do the best for the customers. I also think the guy at the counter does a great job no matter how busy there is.

It is often quite crowded, especially in the evenings. This shows how much people enjoy eating there. We are always satisfied and the food tastes very good.

We ordered food inside to take away, employees were cheeky and cheeky, the bread was burnt on the surface and the worst thing was that there was a hair in our salad, we didn't feel like complaining and didn't have the time!! We will avoid this store in the future.

Staff become overwhelmed the later in the evening. It used to be really good, but now I'm happy with the fact that the store seems to be running smoothly anyway. It's a shame, but it's inflexible, everything has to go in a jagged fashion, wishes just get annoying... preferably "with everything" because it's quicker. Tadi MarifET is by far the better choice in Buer. Service just not good here...

Unfortunately, the service is only rated with one star due to the reaction from the manager. After the feedback from the waitress, the “boss” came and commented negatively on the criticism. In addition, when I paid, the waitress commented on this review before I could submit it. As a “boss” you should be able to deal with constructive criticism. No card payment possible.

Service OK, unfortunately food not good

So I paid €24.20 for 2 “half” kebabs, 1 large fries and 2 0.33 Cola Zero. At most, I'll just go to the toilet because the portions are so small that you can almost finish a kebab with everything on top. My cousin's kebab simply didn't have any sauce even though he ordered it and given that the meat was delivered frozen it was MUCH too expensive. Conclusion: If you're hungry, it's better to eat at beyto or the one opposite, because the only thing it has compared to the competition is the location. (Otherwise no one would go there a second time and they would have gone bankrupt)

It's very loud there and the waitresses aren't that friendly. When it comes to food, some things are okay and some things are really bad. We didn't feel comfortable because we had the feeling that the winemakers didn't really know how to really treat the customer. We also couldn't have a conversation because of the volume. A visit to a restaurant should be something nice and not something stressful because we just didn't feel good afterwards.

The restaurant is centrally located. After we placed our order it took around 20 minutes for the food to arrive. When the food arrived, one of the dishes was cold or not fully cooked. Of course we let them know and it was replaced. Unfortunately it was also cold. We ate anyway. At the table next to us there was apparently a children's birthday party as it was very loud. That was very annoying because you couldn't eat in peace. Unfortunately, based on all the points, I can only give it two stars.
