Tasty, large portions compared to Indian restaurants and therefore relatively cheap

I ordered and the chicken curry was bad. It consisted of three pieces of chicken with a few raw onions and bell peppers thrown in for show, just to make it look like there was more. The dal, which we didn't order, was very good. The naan was still raw. I can't recommend this place, but I don't know what it tastes like when you eat there.

I have seen more Indian looking restaurants, but the atmosphere is okay, and plus star for the Christmas tree. We had planty of space for the company event. The food was quite good. Not top notch, but it was an event, with a lot of people. The service was very kind and well organized. Thank you! 🙏

First of all, I would like to mention that it is not an Indian restaurant but it is a Bangladeshi restaurant. Stop calling it as Indian. But yes they have chefs or people who can cook indian food and last time when I was there it tasted good although prices are on the higher side. That something the restaurant need to look into.

A typical Indian restaurant, nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, and the food was delicious. We were a bit unlucky; a (non-Indian) wedding was being celebrated in the restaurant, so the music was so loud that it was almost impossible to have a conversation. We paid very quickly after eating and left. On "normal" days, however, it must be a really nice place.

We've been to Suhag a few times over the past few years. We'd actually decided last time that we wouldn't go back, but we gave the restaurant another chance. Unfortunately, this time it was really bad in every respect. The restaurant is actually quite nice, and the food used to be quite good. The last two times we were there, we were the only regular restaurant customers that evening, and that was in a really large restaurant. In the past, it happened to us a few times that several buses suddenly arrived, full of presumably Indian tourists, and they then had a buffet there. It was quite busy in the restaurant, but I didn't find it too disturbing. I figured if Indians were eating there, the food couldn't be bad either. This time, however, it happened to us that there was, I suspect, a Turkish birthday party going on in the back. We were told at the beginning to sit closer to the front, as it was a bit louder today. At that time, music was already playing, but it was perfectly acceptable. Later, however, the volume was significantly increased, making it almost impossible to talk at the table. The music also suddenly stopped and then started again... just really unpleasant. The last two times, it was quite cold in the restaurant area, making it less cozy. Delivery people are constantly coming to pick up orders, which further contributes to the unrest in the restaurant. We ordered four dishes this time. None of us were impressed with our food this time. That was always the reason to come back, even if the ambiance was no longer appropriate. I had ordered a dish that wasn't labeled as spicy. Suddenly, however, I bit into a piece of chili with seeds. The chili was extremely hot for me, and I could hardly taste anything afterward. I then found a 5 cm long chili pepper in the sauce. I pointed this out to the waiter at the end, and he simply replied that they weren't hot chilies. However, my mouth clearly proved me wrong. Apparently, they realized that we weren't doing a great job and served us four mango desserts on the house. However, they only brought them without a word of apology. Even when we paid, they didn't apologize for the excessive noise during the party, for example. Our feeling is that the restaurant is only staying afloat by subcontracting the catering service for parties and by taking delivery orders. Despite the fact that the restaurant can be visited with 2:1 vouchers from a voucher book, the restaurant is very quiet in the evenings. That should give you pause.

The all-you-can-eat lunch at SUHAG Restaurant is moderately priced—not too expensive, but not a real bargain either. The selection of dishes is okay; some were fresh and delicious, while others were rather lukewarm or lacking in flavor. The service is friendly, but a bit slow. It's fine for a quick lunch, but it's not a real highlight in terms of price or cuisine.

A complete disaster. Unhygienic, cold, and melted food. Stay away. This restaurant should be closed immediately.

I ordered from the SUHAG restaurant at Wolt (butter chicken and two naan rolls). Unfortunately, only one naan was delivered, even though I had ordered and paid for two. I didn't like the taste of the butter chicken at all, and I also found the naan unusual. Overall, I was very disappointed with the order and wouldn't order from there again.

Food looks great, unfortunately most of it is completely cold when it comes to the table. Some bits were quite good (the spinach lamb curry was excellent), but other bits were strongly threatening food poisoning (grilled shrimp and especially the fish was obviously not fresh, already smelling bad and undercooked). Unfortunately, this was the worst Indian restaurant I’ve been to - in Munich or anywhere. They also input a higher price than we were going to pay! Do not recommend.

We were there for Buffett and we felt that after being there for half and hour, the manager/owner started hurrying us up, asking us if we were done, and starting picking plates up even when two of us was still eating on the table. The restaurant was empty so I’m not sure what the reason was. Either way, bad experience. Look out for the strange man trying to hurry you up.

Ordering via Lieferando went well. The food arrived very hot and tasted absolutely wonderful. The delivery was also within the stated timeframe. Please do not tip online, as this only goes to the manager and not to the actual drivers! I also absolutely cannot share the frequently mentioned experience of food poisoning! I highly recommend this restaurant!

The ambiance and the shop were very nice. The food wasn't what I'd expect from other Indian restaurants. The chicken was dry, and the naan bread was unfortunately cold, whereas it's usually hot.

Large place where, unfortunately, despite few customers, the food took over an hour to prepare.

I ordered the lunch deal (Chicken Biryani – buy 1 free 1) and it was a complete disappointment. It doesn’t even look like biryani, more like plain rice mixed with unflavored chicken gravy. The chicken was overcooked, dry, and tasteless, and the whole dish lacked any real flavor or aroma. Buying in deals doesn’t mean they can compromise the taste and make it horrible. Honestly, it was disgusting, a total waste of money, and I will never order again.

The order turned out to be a culinary disaster. The tandoori chicken tasted like tomato sauce at an Italian restaurant, the curry was poorly seasoned and bland, and my chicken chili wasn't spicy. Cafeteria-level!

Food poisoning: Unfortunately, the order from June 3, 2025, resulted in food poisoning. Two people who didn't usually eat together became ill. The chicken tikka masala seemed to be the main culprit. Therefore, unfortunately, I absolutely do not recommend it.

I placed an order through Uber Eats and the delivery guy never even showed up — then had the audacity to mark it as delivered in the app. Total scam. When I called the restaurant, the guy on the phone was unbelievably rude, told me it’s “not his mistake,” and then hung up on me. When I tried calling again, he declined. What kind of shameless behavior is this? If you’re not going to deliver the food, then why the hell do you show offers and take people’s money? Bunch of fraudsters. Just outright stealing. If I could give a negative rating, I would. Absolute disgrace. And to make it worse, Shame on you. You're not just bad at business — you're dishonest thieves. And if you actually have the guts to fix this, you already have my number. Don’t pretend you can’t reach me.

Nice restaurant, good food with a wide selection. A bit pricey, but still within reason. Unfortunately, the parking situation is problematic.

Worst place to order from. I ordered at 8:40 PM and still haven't received my food (I live a 10-minute walk away—the store is now closed, too, judging by that time). When I called, I was greeted rudely with "yes, I'm working right now." Every call every 10-20 minutes was "one more minute" or "give me two minutes." A little late is okay. But advertising a 30-minute wait on Lieferando and then still not showing up after 2.5 hours? That place should be shut down. First time ordering from there and definitely never again. Simply a disgrace.

I ordered from this restaurant online via their website. The order never arrived. My phone number was also blocked, and no one answers my company cell phone. Truly outrageous. Now I have to make sure my credit card isn't charged. Thank you.

I placed an order at this restaurant and tipped the driver online. The food was simply terrible and the driver claims that he doesn't get an online tip because the owner of the restaurant is ripping off people. I would advise everyone away from this restaurant.

We had this Akbar Thali (with variety of 6 dishes of meat (chicken, beef and lamb)). It was so good. All the spices are finely cooperated. We had eaten with a whole bunch of rice🫢 with this Akbar Thali, since it’s so good. I would recommend it for anyone, who likes indian food👍🏻👍🏻. The butter Naan was good too, it soo buterry and crunchy.

It started with the fact that you weren't allowed to choose the table in the empty restaurant (we didn't want to sit right next to the only other guests) The waitress didn't pay any attention to my friend once and also complained that after a short time we hadn't chosen any drinks and that the waitress would have to come a second time. This was explained to us grumpily. After the food came, we realized that it was super spicy even though it wasn't advertised as such. My chicken was also very fibrous. It was beautifully prepared and delicious too. It's just that the service is simply not adapted. A little training and then the store will be up and running again. We are excited and willing to come again.

Unfortunately, the Indian buffet didn't quite meet my expectations. Many dishes were too cold and some dishes seemed like indefinable mixtures. Unfortunately the pakoras were quite dry. Too bad. But there was one highlight: the dessert – a heavenly mango foam that brought the evening to a reconciling end.

Food was fantastic!!! It's on our list to come back. There was a huge celebration going on when we were there, so it was a bit loud, otherwise great! 👍

Large selection of Indian dishes. Staff is friendly. Location is not bad (quite large and decorated nicely) and easily reachable by sbahn but could be a bit more cozy/warm (as could the food - after max 1 minute at the table it's only "warm" at best..).

I always order butter chicken from every Indian restaurant and it always tastes great. However, what Suhag understands by butter chicken is absolutely subterranean. The taste is simply chicken in a tomato sauce and tastes watery. I wouldn't recommend anyone to order the butter chicken here.

The food was pretty average. I ordered the paneer fritters there. But the quality of the paneer wasn't that good. I ordered another dish with paneer, but that too was wasted. I couldn't finish my meal. The reason for the three stars is because I ordered fish at the same place the night before, and it was better than the paneer.

I have ordered. The food was of absolutely substandard quality. Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala only tasted like unseasoned tomato sauce. Inedible and an absolute disgrace for the price. Food came significantly later than stated. I complained over the phone and was not offered any compensation.

The ambience of the restaurant is very good. We tried the vegetarian option. Naan was very good. The paneer butter masala and Veg biriani were tasty. The gobi manchuria is a must try in this restaurant. The vegetable Jalfrezi was pretty ordinary, and it was floating in the oil.

Very poor service and I was charged more than I ordered. Since we were a large group, the staff probably thought they could afford it and not notice it. The price-performance ratio for the mini buffet is not right here either. Store was pretty empty for a Saturday evening.

Reasonably priced lunch buffet, with a good selection. But: - Unfortunately the soup didn't taste like anything, which is a shame given the great variety of Indian spices. - - The salad buffet was quite meager. - The chicken was extremely tough, but the sauce was nice and spicy. The rest was quite bland in taste - the first time I've added salt to Indian food - and the pakora was cheap frozen food. - I liked the dessert, various fresh fruits in a kind of mango cream. Who knows, maybe the à la carte menu is better. The service was very nice and also kept a close eye on the buffet for refills and cleanliness. I really liked the atmosphere.

I attended the buffet lunch today. The cost was within reason; however, the quality of the food was disappointing. Additionally, a €6 charge was incurred for drinking water. I do not recommend this establishment.

Worst restaurant ever. No respect, no attention to the client. Cold tasteless white rice (menu insists that rice is with safron) and a small portion of meat with little sauce. Price is prohibitive for what it is.

Were there in the evening where a wedding was taking place at the same time. As a result, the music was very loud and it was difficult to talk to each other. But we were told this before the seat election. We each had a starter which was also good. The main course was very good, but I had a dish that was advertised as mild, but in my opinion could have been a little spicier. Service was good but not great as the attention was on the side event. All in all very happy. Would come again.

Was here with a friend and at the same time were able to enjoy an Indian wedding that was taking place at the same time in the restaurant. At some point a child started crying loudly and had to be taken out. All in all, interesting to see. The food was good, the service slow, although probably due to the wedding. Overall, definitely a good Indian restaurant with good food.

The food itself was very good and tasty. However, the service is subpar. We easily had to wait 40 minutes even though the restaurant was almost empty. At the same time the service was quite unfriendly.

There were four of us with a Schlemmerblock voucher for dinner. We can't understand the negative reviews from other guests. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted warmly. Our waiter Ronny also had a funny saying or joke up his sleeve from time to time. We felt completely comfortable. We chose two starter platters, one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian. Huge and almost impossible to do. Then also a hearty main course. Prices here between 15 and 20 € are great. Re-ordering drinks was also very quick and without any problems right at the table. The restaurant is huge and would therefore be a good location for larger celebrations. Keep it up and see you next time. Best regards

Instead of 20-30 minutes delivery time, it took 1:50 hours. Food tastes like rice with tomato sauce. And you don't pay very little money for that. Never again!

Very good restaurant for buffet

Disaster! We waited almost 1.5 hours for our order and were then bullied on the phone and couldn't cancel. Never again.

We ordered food, instead of 20-45 minutes it only arrived after 1 hour and 10 minutes. In addition, the food (butter chicken) was really not good. We were also treated very unfriendly on the phone. Unfortunately I can't recommend it at all.

We all enjoyed the food, the menu is huge, which overwhelmed us all a bit. The service is very slow, or rather you wait a long time for the food even when there isn't much going on. 1 meal was brought incorrectly, but they insisted that it was correct. With the exception of one, the waiters don't speak any German and hardly any English either, so asking questions is difficult. All in all we liked it and we will definitely come back.

The taste was really delicious, nothing special, but typically Indian, very tasty. But: the condition cannot speak a word of German, not even standard words in the industry, not even the word “Hello”. And the boss: just outrageous. I wonder how you can be SO unfriendly and not customer-oriented. You just didn't feel comfortable because of him, he came to the table, threw the menu on it and left, came a short time later and shouted at you whether you knew what to drink. Towards the end (we had the gourmet pad) he snatches the cell phone out of my hand to take a photo of the voucher and it falls to him. Aside from asking if he can hold the phone for a moment, he could apologize for dropping it. In summary: the food is delicious, but the service is bad if they can't even speak a few words (if you have contact with customers, you should at least be able to do the bare minimum) and the boss is not only unfriendly and completely customer-oriented, but also really rude and should learn that you can't afford everything and that even if you don't work with customers, you could be a nice person and not treat other people like that.

I order only Malai kofta but they give with rice which I didn't order and the taste was very bad😞. I never recommend to anyone.

Ordered via delivery service. The Chicken Tikka Masala was good. In the beef sabzi, the meat was extremely tough like gristle or pure fat. The rice was mediocre as it could have been cooked a minute longer. The latter was at least a matter of taste. The chicken pakora was disgusting. It tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. I've never had to try such dried-out meat in a rubbery breading before. Thank God and hopefully never again. The tandoori roti was halfway okay. It was a bit crunchy instead of fresh. But at least otherwise well done. However, one of 3 sauces had already leaked during delivery. When unpacked the food was lukewarm. That was the first and last time we ate something from there. The delivery time was 50 minutes instead of around 30.

EDIT: Unfortunately, we recently had a less pleasant visit to Suhag. The team was probably still in rest mode, the order was not taken at an even acceptable time, nor did the ordered dishes come to the table quickly. We waited for almost an hour at a nearly empty restaurant. It was also incredibly loud because a party buffet in the next room was apparently being dismantled and right next to our table all of the restaurant's cutlery was polished for over 15 minutes and thrown into large, metal containers. This time we were also disappointed in terms of taste, the curries were oily and thin, the rice lacked fluffiness, and the raita was neither creamy nor well seasoned. It's a shame, we would have liked to come more often. This experience today and keep you safe from it. Original rating 4 stars: Super friendly service (although sometimes only in English), colorful atmosphere, good food. The selection of dishes is rather large; there are also beef dishes on the menu (typical of North Indian cuisine). Great: You can also find dishes that are not offered at every Indian restaurant in the city. The number of chilies next to the dish indicates how spicy the food will be. There are also numerous vegan and vegetarian options. Even the dessert selection is a little larger than usual. The round building is a bit special, you sit in a semicircle around the bar area. But the interior has been lovingly decorated to create a cozy atmosphere. There is probably an occasional buffet, but you can definitely book it for larger groups and celebrations. Tip: The tandoor dish “Mushroom Paneer” was very spicy and the portion with various vegetables was very tasty. The vegetarian Bagan Mirchi ka Salan (🌶️🌶️), which is rarely found, was also very good!

It's a good fine dining place, but the taste was a bit below European desi food taste. I've had better mint paratha. The chicken karahi was not chicken karahi at all. The biryani was acceptable. I guess the bbq would be nice but will have to see. They also seem to have a stage so you can host parties too.

Eine Portion "Überraschungstüte" via TGTG (für "nur" 6,50 Euro statt 19,50 Euro) war in meinen Augen eine Frechheit -- wie schon früher hier einmal beanstandet die Seiten in der Packung "verwechselt", ein großer Haufen Reis mit etwas scharfer Linsensoße, die ansonsten nach nichts schmeckte. Ein einzelnes kleines Stückchen Hühnerfleisch mitten im Reis. Bekommt man so etwas, wenn man sich von hier Essen liefern lässt? Was für ein Gericht soll das sein? Dafür würde niemand im Traum die angeblichen 19,50 Euro Normalpreis bezahlen! Selbst die 6,50 Euro sind in meinen Augen eine Unverschämtheit für die dafür gebotene Menge und Qualität. Ich esse (und koche) sehr gerne indisch, am liebsten beim Mehfil am Harras, da stimmen Qualität und Preis. TGTG ist für mich oft ein Test, und in diesem Fall hat mich die gebotete Leistung davor bewahrt, jemals hier zum Essen zu gehen.

I was allowed and supposed to take my papadums from the buffet. That's okay. But when the main course I ordered comes and I'm asked if I want to continue using the plate (with leftover sauces), that's not possible. Ecology and sustainability are all well and good, but I would like a minimum of service. The food was "well". I will visit other Indian restaurants in the future
