Reason for 4 star: We tried couple of times, excellent food. We also have ordered for my functions. Everything is very good. Paneer is hard comparing to other restaurants. This can be improved to make soft paneer. If it is improved I would give 5 star.

Very authentic hyderabadi biryani.

Authentic Indian taste this place is just superb. Their biriyanis are worth all the hype. In case you love fish, their Apollo fish is finger licking good.We loved their combo menus which was ample for two people and allowed us to taste a huge variety of dishes.Definitely will come back.

Authentic Indian and delicious food. I travel specifically from Stuttgart to eat their Hyderabadi Dum Biryani and Apollo Fish. They have been consistently good for a very long time which is very commendable.

The rooms aren't particularly nice, but that wouldn't bother me if the food was convincing. However, it was freezing cold. The heating was completely off and the temperatures were below zero. We were really freezing! That's why we ordered chai, which I drank much better. The 2 dips for the pappadam were both rather watery and not particularly good. Usually you get a nice mango chutney or peppermint yogurt. Because it was lunchtime, we were given soup without ordering, which we couldn't eat at all. It tasted like a very watery packaged asparagus soup. The dishes from the two thalis (one fish, one vegetarian) were ok, although some were quite salty. Since I have been to India myself and have also taken Indian cooking courses and also completed Ayurveda training, I know that salt should play a very minor role due to the many other spices. The raita was again, how could it be otherwise, very watery. Only the naan actually tasted really good. The service was ok, fast and someone was always present, but nothing remarkable. All in all it wasn't worth it at all and we were really cold afterwards.

If someone want to try proper authentic South Indian (Andhra) food then the best place in the city is Namaste. Great food with lot of vegetarian options too. Always recommended to dine in.

Ask for a cash payment before they make a bill for good discounts.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, authentic flavors and welcoming lively atmosphere. We had fish masala and chili fish and both were delicious.

Pretty bland atmosphere but the food is awesome. It's not for nothing that there are many Indian guests. Very pleasantly surprised to have such a good Indian in Munich! If you don't have to be there, absolute top recommendation!

We called 2 hours ahead to order biryani, and it was confirmed. However, when we arrived, they told us it was unavailable. After some back and forth, they served us what seemed like rice mixed with chicken curry, which didn’t meet our expectations. The staff’s response felt unprofessional, and the overall experience was disappointing after traveling for more than an hour with a baby. In comparison, we’ve had better experiences at other places, especially in terms of taste and hospitality.

Just One leg piece in a biryani is unfair and no rice served with bagara egg curry. My wife was disappointed and said she doesn't want to go to this place again.

*Update* We tried a few more items from the menu, added below. It's a decent place but definitely a big room for improvement. We ordered - 1. Mango lassi and gobhi Manchurian which were nice 2. Kesari chicken: the portion was good but quite dry. A curry on the side would be appreciated. 3. Kadhai paneer: it was good but the paneer was a bit hard. 4. Chilli Paneer: it is actually very spicy 🥵 so be careful 5. Thali is a good option. A bit on the pricey side but a good option if you want to try different things. Overall decent food but a major bummer on the atmosphere. For pretty much the same price, other Indian restaurants offer a very good ambience.

An Indian who cooks relatively authentically. There were a lot of Indians there, which also means a recommendation for me.

Nothing special. Unfortunately, the service was very bad today, despite there being tons of employees. The food was good, but not so good that it made up for the service. The prices are okay.

The food was good, but for 21 euros the main course was far too small a portion without vegetables and just a few cold lettuce leaves.

We ordered 1 weekend offer combo 2 which costs 32 euros, the quantity was not enough but if you are interested in try you can go ahead. The disappointing point is We ordered a chicken biryani, one namsthe non veg thali, one mutton biryani and one veg thali. Non of these are good. Mutton biryani is entirely filled with masala. The chicken biryani is not at all a hyderabadi biryani. We didnt receive one nan which was included in veg thali. Over all this is a very disappointing experience.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the city. An insider tip that has spread, especially among Indians. The food is also much more authentic than other Indian restaurants. There are often special offers, often very hot and well-seasoned dishes, but if you have a weak palate it can quickly become too spicy. The highlight for many is the Hyderabadi-style biryani, but this is only available on weekends. For the average eater, one portion is easily enough for two people. The price is completely okay, the taste is interesting and something different. Definitely recommended.

Probably the best biriyani in Munich. I got the combo with Chicken Biriyani, two curries, and naan, and it was such a good deal. Amazing chai too

Pure India in the middle of Munich! A great surprise, here you only hear Indian or English... An Indian who is also popular with Indians can't be that bad. And indeed: everything is perfect! Always my pleasure!

If you want a chicken biriyani and not sabzi biryani or fried rice biryani in Munich this is the only option. The biryani here is pretty close to the original, with those biryani flavours. The quantity of the biryani is also a lot and most people would have a hard time finishing it (I am not one of those people). They sometimes skim on the amount of chicken in the Biryani, which tends to happen late at night when they are running short of it and everyone orders Biryani. The location is out of the way for most people and needs a real effort to reach. The vibe of the place is also very dull, it looks very old and needs a lot of change.

We had reserved a table for two and we were given possibly the worst small table crammed between two other tables. Poppadoms were stale and not fresh, moreover we waited 10 mins for both our main courses to arrive at the same time. Food was fine, but otherwise I won't be back.

I would NEVER suggest to have any North Indian dishes over here , specifically never try Dam biryani, it is just masala rice !! Even their mango lassi was also full of essence . Completely disappointed !!

Went for dinner . Great to have Indian food while traveling.

Came here for lunch and ordered the Chicken Chettinad, a popular South Indian dish. It was delicious, but I was expecting it to be a bit more spicy and stronger in aromatics and herbs. It seemed a milder version of a traditional Chettinad, almost closer to a western version of an “Indian” spicy chicken curry. The food here seems very good and it’s definitely worth a visit 😃

Good Indian restaurant in Arabella Park area. Restaurant is located in Second floor and hence wheelchair and strollers are to be kept at ground level. Customer service is good. You can have Indian veg and non-veg dishes here. Drinks are also served. Can enjoy your dinner with family and friends.

Friendly service. However compared to other Indian restaurants in Munich, the food and portion sizes were quite average.

Usually, I get disappointed with South Indian cuisine due to being brought up eating Tamil food, but Namaste brings some of the best of our cuisine to the people of Munich. Best place for biryani. Had a combo meal with chicken biryani, mutton korma , roti and seviyan, chicken 65 The chciken 65 was ok. Seviyan was not made properly.

I was here for dinner with my friends. It's the second time I come to this restaurant. I have to highlight two dishes in particular, firstly the Hyderabadi Chicken Byriani (very spicy 🌶️), meat is tender and the rice tastes excellent 😊 and secondly, We had chicken lolipop as an appetizer! Very special and very good 🤤 Among other things, we had spicy fish (see photo) in a spicy sauce. I also ordered mango lassi, which I particularly love! 🫶 And then finally Indian Chai. Simply a must!! This one is a must try! 🤩 The only thing I don't like is that the waiters are too serious 😨. I don't like that that much... maybe 🤔 these could smile more often 🙂 Sending you positive vibes!! The best Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani you can have Munich. Trust me, I have tried all the restaurants never had the real biryani taste except here… the best!!

We ordered from here multiple times online and dined in as well. Here's what I feel about the dishes: Chicken dum biryani - excellent Mutton dum biryani - excellent Veg dum biryani - good Veg fried rice, paneer fried rice - very good Gobhi Manchurian - average Paneer Manchurian - average Apollo fish - good the first time, but the fish tasted smelly the second time Chicken lollypop - worst. They served stale chicken and it felt chewy as rubber Plain dosa - very good Masala dosa - very good Podi dosa - average Paneer tikka - average Kesri chicken tikka - average Rava kesari - good Punugulu - good The quantities were good but except for dosas and biryanis which I highly recommend, it was an average experience. Overall rating: 3.5/5

The Biriyani is just “Chumeshwari 😘”. As it is written in the menu, “Mutton Biryani” is literally Mutton Biryani & not Lamb Biryani. Usually most of the restaurants name it as Mutton Biriyani but give Lamb instead.

This place serves authentic Hyderabad dumplings biryani. The food tastes very good with fair price and good portion.

Very good cuisine, nice service, well connected by public transport despite being located far from the city center. Expats also like to eat here! Tip: Be sure to take a look at the menu of South Indian dishes: on the weekend there are two types of biryani (vegetarian & lamb), which are in great demand because they are really good.

Good food with new south indian options. We had rava dosa, Maisore masala dosa. Peanut chutney and sambar were very delicious.

Food is very tasty. Gobi Manchurian is very well made, crispy. The ambience is nice. Parking is available on the adjacent streets. From the street one has to walk inside a building complex, so the restaurant is not visible from any road. The service is quick and friendly. Overall a good experience.

Places was introduced to us by our dear friend Abhishek and he made us order all the good and tasty thing on the menu. Their weekend special menu is on different level. The chicken biryani with chicken masala and mutton masala take the flavours on different notch; the taste is unmatched to any restaurant found in Munich ( we have tried almost every biryani place) Pepper chicken was a hit among all of us. The desserts were unhinged - gajar halwa, pyasam, gulabjamun- really made me remember my time spent in south. Dosai was great too I would really recommend you guys to ask their recommendation and order. Also they improvise on taste as needed for vegetarians. We also had a veg set ordered Drinks were from the set so market grade tasting 😅

Absolutely disappointing. I also suspect a hygiene problem here. Dishes and glasses were not clean. The furnishings are shabby and the floors of the restaurant, etc. were not cleaned at the time. For some it is authentic, for me it is a “NO GO”. The dishes cost an average of €15.

Fantastic taste. Authentic through and through. Great owner and helpful staff. One of the best in Munich. Their biryani is exactly what a poor soul needs which is deprived of authenticity. Starters are excellent, especially chicken majestic.

Donot know if they prepare biriyani with Chili or chili with biriyani. I had to have (on compulsion ) once to one of my friend's Invitation, after that I had next 4/5 hrs stomach pain following fire in toilet. Never ever I will touch any food from this Restaurant.

Unfortunately, the location is from the 70s/80s and therefore doesn't look inviting...everything is functional... But the food and the service are top!!!

Between Friday and Sunday there is a flat offer between 25 euros and 35 euros. Unfortunately the platter was too spicy for my taste and it's not possible without making it spicy. Service was very slow. Packaging costs 1 euro extra.

Unfortunately they were pretty ripped off. We had a voucher booklet that was valid and then we were told with the bill that they wouldn't take it today. The food was good, but we were pretty upset afterwards.

Quality of food has drastically improved.

This is an Indian restaurant where South Indian and North Indian dishes are available. For starters, Mirchi bajji, punugulu is the best choice. All kinds of roti, Biryani, Dosa available for the main course. Rava kesari, Gulab jamun and Carrot halwa are recommended for Desserts. The outdoor balcony dining is also available here. Ambience is pleasing.

Nice place for south Indian delicacy. Food tastes authentic and one of my favorite Indian restaurant in München. It is a goto place if you are a fan of "Hyderabad sum biryani". Unfortunately it is only available on the evenings and weekends. Do call up before you dine there to know availability if you are up for it.

Most authentic Indian food I have had Munich. Chicken Biryani tastes like something you would get in Hyderabad, really aromatic and tasty If you get a chance try the sweet Double ka meetha

The food was tasty, the service was a bit slow, but the prices are definitely too expensive.

Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. We ordered several lamb dishes (e.g. Tandoori lamb) and unfortunately we didn't taste any lamb at all. The meat was also very dry. The dishes had no vegetables at all (not even onions). Unfortunately the portions were very small and tasteless. The prices were very juicy. For the price you get significantly more from other Indians and the quality is also significantly better. Unfortunately a failure. The rice also had hardly any taste. There was also significant savings on the sauces. The prices are overpriced for what you get. A pity!

Ordered 2 dishes to take away. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Even offered me a chai while I waited. (Thanks for that, the tea was very tasty). Both dishes tasted good. But, biryani (chicken) deserves a special mention. can recommend 100pc. The restaurant itself is beautiful and offers plenty of space to sit. Will definitely come back even if the murals and decorations are very cringe :)

I came to try the Dum biryani as it had been recommended to me by some Indian friends but they were out of stock the day I went. We ordered a Namaste Thali to share between two and we were more than satisfied. Good food, attentive and friendly service.

Food wasn't as amazing as it was pre-pandemic but is still good and atmosphere was great.
