The veg biryani combo was excellent value. I was really impressed that they were flexible enough to swap the standard curry for the one I preferred. We will definitely be back.

We are in Namaste now ; Terrible experience! Food is delayed , only 3 persons serving a room full of 50 odd guests ! Burnt food!! Never Again !!!!

We had ordered for take-away. When arriving we were greeted either complementary chai, which tastes wonderful! We also got a big cup of chai, to go, for free. All meat is halal! The dishes were tasty! We will come again.

A lot of tasty vegetarian options available, the staff is very nice and the prices are affordable.

I am from India and beleive me more Authentic food in entire munich is not posibble. There are also South indian favorite items like Mirchi bajji and egg dosa which taste very good. Apart from that you can order all kinds of drinks like beer and Whisky. The owner of this Restaurant is really friendly and nice Person. I recommend it whole heartedly.

Chicken in chicken biryani was found to be raw on 2 occasions, many months apart. Unacceptable and absolutely disgusting. This place should be shut down. Update after restaurant’s reply to the review: Thank you for your extremely arrogant response. Since you are rude enough to not even apologise, and instead are commenting on my personality, I think I will take the matter forward. Here are some photos for your reference, two photos of two different chicken pieces from 10 October 2025 and 1 from 9th February 2025, ordered both times through Uber Eats. These photos are more than enough proof for anyone to note that the chicken is indeed raw and inedible, which poses serious risk of Salmonella infection in humans when consumed. I am a scientist by profession, working on chickens for the last 6 years. So I know what I am talking about. I believe that makes my claim somewhat believable at least? The first time when this happened in February, I complained to Uber Eats and then did not take the matter forward with the restaurant, thinking that this was a one-time thing, and can happen to anyone once in a while. But since it happened again, the problem is no doubt a consistent one, and demands proper investigation of your hygiene standards. Being a member of a Telugu household, I have always enjoyed Namaste’s food, since the taste is authentic and the food good. Over the years we have ordered their chicken biryani many times along with many other dishes, and also introduced the place to our Indian friends. So I would have no motive to try to bring the restaurant down. But with the situation repeating itself, I find it extremely alarming and horrific that a restaurant with such a good reputation would continue to serve raw chicken. This raises concerns over your hygiene and cooking standards. As for the reason to be anonymous, that was a purely personal reason. The profile is not anonymous anymore, I hope that helps you to verify my claims with your records and improves the credibility of the review. You have lost a loyal customer. Not because of the quality of food, but because of your arrogant, unapologetic words.

Being an Indian I can say their taste comes really close to what we can say authentic. Plenty of variety for South and North Indian cuisine and also for both vegetarian and non. We have visited many times already and the food quality is always amazing. We tried the mutton curry, chicken biryani, butter garlic naan and mango lassi. The service is fast and their staff is very humble and polite. Highly recommended

I don't understand why this place has such a good rating. The chicken in the chicken biryani was raw, and the butter chicken was really tough. The garlic naan had no garlic flavor and was also really hard, and the gulab jamun for €6.50 is completely overpriced and not justified at all. Overall, none of the dishes tasted good.

We've been here twice now. If you're interested in trying Indian cuisine, this restaurant is quite good. For my taste, the dishes are very well-adapted to the European palate, at least compared to other Indian restaurants I've visited. The food is generally okay, but what was a bit disappointing on our second day was that the food wasn't served at the right temperature. The service that day was probably new or inexperienced, but polite and attentive. Apparently, there's also the option of ordering food via delivery, so the entrance area is always bustling. A seat in the back would be recommended for those who prefer a bit of peace and quiet while eating. The room is very open. The ambiance, in my opinion, could be improved. The ceiling and the decor are somewhat reminiscent of an 80s government canteen. There were still adhesive residues from poster stripes, etc., on the walls. I would like to see them tidier and renovated. For anyone nearby looking for a suitable restaurant, it's worth a look inside or out onto the terrace, depending on your mood. The prices are absolutely reasonable, so I'm giving it 4 stars.

Really good food. They're really known for their biryanis especially on the weekends. I had the paneer chettinad and garlic Naan and really loved the taste of both. The veg dum biryanis ordered by my friend was also really good and definitely recommended. They also have really good mango lassi but always ask specifically for the size as they might give you the larger one if not asked (a common thing in most restaurants). Would surely go again and would recommend to others.

The food is pretty good, I like the Apollo Fish, but the Mutton could have been cooked a bit more. Service was very slow, we went on a Friday evening and it took 20 minutes to take our order, and the same for getting the bill. It felt like the restaurant was understaffed, if that's improved then I would visit again.

Nice restaurant! Outdoor terrase is the place to sit. Amazing food options here. Mirchi bajji was fantastic. Gobi manchurian tasted great as well. Chicken lollipop tasted a bit old and not recommended. Apollo fish looked authentic but lacked some ingredient. Paneer dosa was crispy and nice but masala mysore dosa was not! Special mutton biryani was excellent with high quantiy of rice and pieces of succulent meat!! Want to try more dishes here!

It is disappointing to receive such a service when you reach out to the restaurant and they keep disconnecting the call in between the reservation request. We called twice to reserve a table, however, they disconnected the call in between without even listening to the request. Highly unprofessional to receive this service from a restaurant which is highly recommended.

Had a decent 1st experience, so went in again with family for dinner. Mentioned to the steward that the Rawa dosa was good last time around and he said, it's always good and will make it so, so we ordered 3. That's where the good experience ended. No cutlery served till we were already served food. Saw a group of 6 people who spoke to them in local language and the management was falling over themselves to serve them. Dosas came one-by-one and to our disappointment the 1st was cold and barely cooked. Nothing close to the crispness one expects in a rawa dosa and barely any masala. Sambhar was cold (not warm, Not luke-warm, COLD). The second, too, came with cold sambhar, and mind you we were still waiting for cutlery. Had to tell him that that's really a half-heartedly made dosa - soft, barely any masala, cold sambhar. Instead of checking, he was telling us that it is hot! Had to insist that he could check it himself and try the sambhar. Got the 3rd dosa with micro-waved sambhar. No courtesy, no regret, nothing. While paying, mentioned to them about the quality of food and experience, and even suggested that if there were many orders, he could've asked us to wait but atleast ensure the food was made well, but the manager couldn't care less. Doubt if we'll be back.

Attended an excellent conference on peace by Prem Rawat, at the Weston Hotel & decided to go to nearby Indian Restaurant, Literally 5 mins walk, lovely authentic Indian cuisine. It offers a number of vegetarian options which my party was all very pleased at. Highly recommended.

The food is satisfactory, but not for the price. The service isn't great. The waiters speak poor German and English. Even when there are few customers, you have to wait a long time for both the waiters and the food. I've been here three times, and that's only because this is the only Indian restaurant near us. If you want to eat out, go to the neighbors. There are about five restaurants nearby, and all of them are by far better. And if you want Indian cuisine, find somewhere else.

We ordered more than 10 Hyderabadi Biryanis and Chicken 65 from Namaste Restaurant in Munich, and they delivered everything to Munich Hbf very quickly — even though we placed the order just 30 minutes before! Unfortunately, the chef was probably not in the mood; the sauces and dishes all looked and tasted the same. We had to ask for information about nuts for someone with allergies... The service was attentive, but we couldn't get any further with the language. Unfortunately, all I can say is, I don't necessarily need a second visit.

Unfortunately, as a German, you don't get served!!! We waited 55 minutes for our appetizer while all the other "locals" were served after 10 minutes. And that in our own country – a real shame! We were really looking forward to the meal. We then took the food home when it arrived after 1 hour and 10 minutes – unfortunately, I can say it was the worst-tasting Indian food we've ever eaten. And we eat it often and enjoy it. All in all, a bottomless impertinence and a truly horrible, hostile experience towards a German guest!

An absolute disappointment – ​​never again! We ordered via Lieferando and waited for our food for over two hours - without any response from the restaurant. Several attempts to contact us by telephone were unsuccessful. When someone finally picked up and we asked to cancel, they simply hung up. This behavior is absolutely disrespectful and customer-unfriendly. No apology, no solution – just ignored. Stay away - there is no service or reliability.

One of the fine Indian restaurants in Munich particularly south India. If you crave for Authentic spicy South Indian dishes, you can go for it. My favs are majestic chicken and Hyderabadi chicken dum Briyani.

The Hyderabadi Dum Biryani was straight fire! Super flavorful, juicy meat, and that aroma? Insane. Every bite hit different with those rich spices and perfectly cooked rice. Total comfort food goals. If you're a biryani lover, this one's a no-brainer. 10/10 would smash again!

Visited Namaste India in Munich today, and I have to say this was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. The moment the restaurant got full, everything seemed to fall apart. Orders were served in a completely chaotic sequence — we only received half of what we ordered and had to wait nearly an hour. It genuinely made me wonder if this is how they treat all South Asian customers. Either way, I won’t be coming back.

Catastrophically, we ordered a grilled mix of meat yesterday and when I asked what was on it the waiter couldn't really describe it to me. Nevertheless, I ordered it. After 25 minutes, the plate came with 4 pieces, which I put on it, greens not grilled, dried like shoes soles.

It's a very authentic place. Very friendly and fast service. Super delicious food. We tried egg dosa for the first time ( a kind of crepes made of fermented rice), and chicken dishes. I am a tourist in Munchen but if I was a local, I would come here regularly.

Reason for 4 star: We tried couple of times, excellent food. We also have ordered for my functions. Everything is very good. Paneer is hard comparing to other restaurants. This can be improved to make soft paneer. If it is improved I would give 5 star.

Authentic Indian taste this place is just superb. Their biriyanis are worth all the hype. In case you love fish, their Apollo fish is finger licking good.We loved their combo menus which was ample for two people and allowed us to taste a huge variety of dishes.Definitely will come back.

Authentic Indian and delicious food. I travel specifically from Stuttgart to eat their Hyderabadi Dum Biryani and Apollo Fish. They have been consistently good for a very long time which is very commendable.

The rooms aren't particularly nice, but that wouldn't bother me if the food was convincing. However, it was freezing cold. The heating was completely off and the temperatures were below zero. We were really freezing! That's why we ordered chai, which I drank much better. The 2 dips for the pappadam were both rather watery and not particularly good. Usually you get a nice mango chutney or peppermint yogurt. Because it was lunchtime, we were given soup without ordering, which we couldn't eat at all. It tasted like a very watery packaged asparagus soup. The dishes from the two thalis (one fish, one vegetarian) were ok, although some were quite salty. Since I have been to India myself and have also taken Indian cooking courses and also completed Ayurveda training, I know that salt should play a very minor role due to the many other spices. The raita was again, how could it be otherwise, very watery. Only the naan actually tasted really good. The service was ok, fast and someone was always present, but nothing remarkable. All in all it wasn't worth it at all and we were really cold afterwards.

If someone want to try proper authentic South Indian (Andhra) food then the best place in the city is Namaste. Great food with lot of vegetarian options too. Always recommended to dine in.

We called 2 hours ahead to order biryani, and it was confirmed. However, when we arrived, they told us it was unavailable. After some back and forth, they served us what seemed like rice mixed with chicken curry, which didn’t meet our expectations. The staff’s response felt unprofessional, and the overall experience was disappointing after traveling for more than an hour with a baby. In comparison, we’ve had better experiences at other places, especially in terms of taste and hospitality.

Just One leg piece in a biryani is unfair and no rice served with bagara egg curry. My wife was disappointed and said she doesn't want to go to this place again.

*Update* We tried a few more items from the menu, added below. It's a decent place but definitely a big room for improvement. We ordered - 1. Mango lassi and gobhi Manchurian which were nice 2. Kesari chicken: the portion was good but quite dry. A curry on the side would be appreciated. 3. Kadhai paneer: it was good but the paneer was a bit hard. 4. Chilli Paneer: it is actually very spicy 🥵 so be careful 5. Thali is a good option. A bit on the pricey side but a good option if you want to try different things. Overall decent food but a major bummer on the atmosphere. For pretty much the same price, other Indian restaurants offer a very good ambience.

The food was good, but for 21 euros the main course was far too small a portion without vegetables and just a few cold lettuce leaves.

We ordered 1 weekend offer combo 2 which costs 32 euros, the quantity was not enough but if you are interested in try you can go ahead. The disappointing point is We ordered a chicken biryani, one namsthe non veg thali, one mutton biryani and one veg thali. Non of these are good. Mutton biryani is entirely filled with masala. The chicken biryani is not at all a hyderabadi biryani. We didnt receive one nan which was included in veg thali. Over all this is a very disappointing experience.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the city. An insider tip that has spread, especially among Indians. The food is also much more authentic than other Indian restaurants. There are often special offers, often very hot and well-seasoned dishes, but if you have a weak palate it can quickly become too spicy. The highlight for many is the Hyderabadi-style biryani, but this is only available on weekends. For the average eater, one portion is easily enough for two people. The price is completely okay, the taste is interesting and something different. Definitely recommended.
