The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Despite the stress, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Our reserved table was available immediately.

The renovation was successful, and the kitchen is visible and well integrated into the restaurant. It's best to make a reservation, though, as it can get crowded. The menu selection is good; there should be something for everyone.

We ate there today for my husband's birthday. We had made a reservation in advance and asked for the table we had the day before yesterday. When we arrived, we were assigned a different table. One table was occupied, but others were still free, even in quiet corners. I communicated this, and nothing could be done. We were seated right in the middle. The table wasn't set, despite the reservation. The menu came later. When the drinks were finally taken, I pointed out again that it was a birthday dinner. No reaction from the waiter. When the food arrived later, we had to point out that the cutlery was still missing. Even if it's full, you can expect decent service with a reservation, especially since I mentioned the occasion several times. Guests without reservations were given better tables. The evening left a bitter aftertaste as the end of the vacation. The kitchen deserves high praise. But the service still needs to improve. We don't go out to eat all the time these days, and when we do, I expect a pleasant evening. Be happy about every vacationer who stays with you.

A varied menu. I really liked the customizable side dishes. The service staff was very cheerful and prompt, even though they were very busy. The atmosphere in the old barn is great.

We ate there with a couple of friends and their two dogs. Despite some of the staff being ill, the service was highly motivated and extremely friendly. The food was truly delicious and lovingly prepared. For us, the barn is an integral part of our vacation.

Hello everyone, We had lunch at the Scheune in Glücksburg today. We had reserved a table in advance via Google, and it worked out great. The service was really friendly and prompt. We felt at home. There was a small children's table near the kitchen and a shelf with a few books. For dinner We had a plate of homemade fish fingers with mashed potatoes and nuggets with fries and some salad for our kids. They ate both without hesitation and with great pleasure :-) We had the Scheuneburger, which I thought was a bit too sweet but nonetheless delicious and topped with a good paste. We also had the Spaghetti Bruschetta – I would order it again in a heartbeat. For dessert, we had a creme brulee and a children's ice cream sundae each. As mentioned, I would order every dish again and eat here again on my next visit to Glückstadt. With that in mind, enjoy your meal!

My wife and I eat vegan. Both vegan dishes were excellent and very tasty. The service and atmosphere are very pleasant, relaxed, and friendly. However, there is also non-vegan food. Overall, the concept is very open to vegan and vegetarian food and clearly states that these dishes can also be hearty and delicious. I highly recommend it!

Great location with excellent service and a very personable chef. The food was very good. A small deduction for the fried potatoes. Had a quick chat with the chef, and everything was fine. That's how a restaurant should be 👍

Go up a flight of stairs and you'll find yourself in a large room with a high ceiling. Rustic, with beams and thatch. The food is down-to-earth and skillfully prepared. The service friendly and attentive. It's all ok!

I was there yesterday with my family. We had to make a reservation, without a reservation it is almost impossible to get a table. But I also know why. The staff is super friendly and the food was amazing. So tasty and attractively prepared. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. We just enjoyed it. There really is nothing!!!! Objectionable.

The atmosphere is very cozy and the waiter was super friendly and attentive. The vegan schnitzel tastes very good, and the penne in Gorgonzola sauce is also very tasty. The portions are extremely generous; the noodles, for example, would have easily been enough for two. Finally, I ordered a scoop of ice cream and, as a precaution, I was informed that the flavor I ordered was not vegan. Really very good service.

Hyggeligt sted på 1. Sal - gratis parkering på stort torvet. Spiste der 2 aftener i træk, da vi fandt maden god og til rimelige priser. Betjeningen hurtig og effektiv - især den unge mand, som nærmest løber rundt mellem bordene og er meget opmærksom. Gad vide hvor mange år han kan holde til det tempo :-) . Wir waren am 08.02.2025 mit der Familie in diesem Restaurant essen und hatten uns auf einen schönen Abend gefreut. Positiv hervorzuheben ist das freundliche Servicepersonal, das sich bemüht hat. Leider reicht das nicht aus, um unseren Besuch positiv zu bewerten. Wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten, und auch das Nachbestellen von Getränken war eine Herausforderung, da das Personal schlichtweg überfordert schien. Als das Essen dann endlich kam, war es fast durchgehend kalt, viele Speisen waren versalzen und das Rumpsteak so zäh, dass es ungenießbar war. Es ist wirklich schade, denn dieses Restaurant war früher bekannt für seine exzellente Küche – das kann man inzwischen leider nicht mehr behaupten. Hoffentlich bessert sich die Qualität wieder, aber derzeit können wir es nicht weiterempfehlen.

Very nice restaurant with friendly service...you didn't have to wait very long for your food. The food tasted very good and the portions were just right 👍🏻. Price/performance was okay. Except perhaps for the starter (salad)... for just under €7 it was quite small (but tasted very good).

I spontaneously ate there with two friends and we were satisfied. The service was friendly and attentive and we found the atmosphere cozy. Went to the barn again today and my son and I ordered a nice Husum steak (medium). The starter we ordered was forgotten and both steaks were raw. After asking if I wanted to take my starter home with me, the same meat came back just as raw after 2 minutes. This was the 2nd and last time. But we were allowed to pay for the side dishes.

Were here for the first time today and the food was very tasty. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the young waitress was very friendly. That's why we'd love to come back.

We ate here twice. Service and atmosphere are good, unfortunately the food is very bad. The gratinated shepherd's cheese was really inedibly salty and the fish was incredibly dry. The only juicy thing here is the prices.

We were there for the third time now and are always pleasantly surprised at how friendly and attentive everyone there is. The food for 15 people came to the table quickly and warm.

Unseren einwöchigen Herbsturlaub haben wir zu sechst im wunderschönen Glücksburg verbracht und waren positiv überrascht, dass ein so kleines Städtchen über so viele Lokalitäten verfügt. In der Scheune wurden wir freundlich empfangen und den ganzen Abend vom jungen Personal mit viel guter Laune versorgt. Mit dem Essen, u.a. hatten wir die Scholle, Matjes „Hausfrauen Art“, aber auch zwei Mal den Scheune Burger und vegetarische Speisen bestellt, waren alle sehr zufrieden. Auch die Getränkeauswahl ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wir fühlen uns rundum wohl und gut aufgehoben und kommen gerne mal wieder vorbei.

Centrally located on the market square in Glücksburg, rustic atmosphere, very friendly service and most importantly: delicious food. Well attended, reservations are recommended.

Oh well. I had promised myself more. The fried potatoes weren't cooked through. Actually a fish platter with 3 different types. It was very difficult to tell the varieties apart. When a man is very hungry, he will not be satisfied. The portions are sufficient for women. A large group of alleged politicians were waiting for their place. They were crowded together at our table, loud and getting closer and closer. A few centimeters away from the waiting guests, a conversation was no longer possible. I had the feeling they were looking at our plates. I would have liked more attention from the waitress as one of the bullies was sitting with his butt almost leaning against our table. Nobody stopped this. It should be a special evening for us. So the disappointment is really big.

Overall disappointing, despite the many positive reviews that led us to visit this restaurant. The fish was properly cooked but bland and even the white wine sauce didn't make it any better. The finished fried potatoes were a hybrid between boiled and fried potatoes with a few crumbs of bacon and possibly an onion ring. The sauce was OK. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately failed to keep arriving local politicians away from our table, who had been sitting on our table for a good quarter of an hour because they had to wait for their seats. The cozy evening for my birthday was ruined unnecessarily but thoroughly. If you like it loud, this is the place for you.

Sehr freundliches Personal, haben sich viel Mühe gegeben um uns einen Platz für 4 Personen ohne Reservierung zu geben. Ich habe mich für das Seelachsfilet entschieden, das war an dem Abend nicht wirklich eine gute Wahl, die Bratkartoffeln waren nicht durch und lauwarm, der Seelachs hingegen war sehr heiß, aber auch trocken, für mein Geschmack zulange in der Fritteuse gewesen. Das Essen der anderen war hingegen gut, hier wurden aber leider die Beilagensalate vergessen.

Cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere. You will be welcomed and served very friendly. The food came quickly when we visited and we never had to wait long. The prices are within normal limits. We can recommend the chili bread as a starter, it is very tasty. We ate different dishes (fish, meat, pasta...) and we didn't have anything to complain about with any of them. Even our son (very picky) ;) could always find something on the menu and was satisfied. During our vacation in Glücksburg we always try to eat there at least once. But you should reserve a table in advance, especially on weekends. Parking spaces are available directly in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is on the first floor.

Very nice atmosphere, the shop is really cozy inside. Very nice service. Some of the food is higher priced, but it is very tasty and the portions are good. We had the zucchini schnitzel and the chicken breast and for dessert the speculoos cheesecake - it was a real dream! The drinks (Sarti Spritz and lager) were ok.

We came across this restaurant by chance with an attractive, cozy atmosphere. We felt very comfortable and were served very friendly and quickly. The food came quickly and was very good. Price/performance ratio for lunch is excellent!

I would be happy to go into the whole thing again in another review. But this must be dedicated solely to GOULASH! Over the years I was allowed or had to try one or two pieces of beef goulash every now and then because there was nothing else available. And as you can probably imagine, I was never a big fan of goulash. Following a recommendation, I was made aware of the barn's beef goulash and reluctantly decided to try it. Because goulash can't taste good. INCORRECT! Today I was able to experience a taste explosion that is second to none! I am not exaggerating when I rave about meat that is so tender that I was able to let it slide elegantly through the grinder, free of tendons, cartilage and fat. The taste is so perfectly seasoned that adding more seasoning would be tantamount to a crime and should be punished as such! In addition to fresh mushrooms, chives and onions, the whole thing is topped with a selected pair of potato dumplings and a damn tasty red cabbage. So if you, like me, have turned your back on goulash so far, you should definitely try this at the Scheune! P.S. Afterwards you will never want to eat anything else again. Please excuse me dear mothers and grannies

We spontaneously came over for lunch. Since we were traveling with our daughter, we sat next to the children's corner. This was well equipped and led to a very relaxed lunch for us. The owner is super friendly. The food is very tasty and fresh. The liver was excellent and the portion was also decent. The spaghetti with shrimps is a dream. Went there spontaneously a few days later. This time in the evening. It was another great evening. Restaurant is highly recommended. There are parking spaces directly in front of the door through the Edeka opposite. The restaurant is furnished with a lot of love and I could also imagine it being a good place for a big birthday or wedding

Great food (matjes) - great ambience - extremely friendly service

We were there with 6 people and 3 dogs. You will be warmly welcomed. We were allowed to move the tables so that it fit us perfectly (especially the dogs). The service was super friendly and very accommodating. Requests and extras were addressed very well. There was a great and large selection of vegan dishes and oat milk for the cappuccino. The food came quickly and was delicious! The restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Were in the barn in mid-September. From the table reservation to the welcome, the service, the ambience and of course the food, everything was top! The store was packed, the staff, but especially the extremely friendly boss, had everything under control and offered excellent service despite the many guests. I would love to come back on my next vacation!

Beautiful restaurant in a rustic barn on the upper floor. Friendly and attentive staff and a nice boss with always a saying on his lips. Beautiful menu that offers something for every taste, from vegan to steaks, schnitzel, penne to fish and dessert is also catered for with a pleasant price-performance ratio.

We have visited the restaurant four times in the last week. The place is a stunner. It starts with the service and the welcome. The service staff are extremely nice and helpful. We ate the beef liver and the plaice. Both are a stunner and deliciously prepared. The drinks are also great, as are the various beers. The prices for food and drinks are more than fair and reasonable. You simply feel comfortable here. Can only be recommended.

A super nice atmosphere, quiet, cozy, beautiful light. The staff is above average friendly, always smiling when serving. Normal waiting time for the meal, already prepared and tasted really good. Went there three times in one week because it was so delicious. The staff is also very child-friendly.

The daily specials are good and inexpensive. The penne was too spicy for my wife. But she liked the pollock I ordered. It was great how the sharpness feedback was handled. The dish would have been replaced immediately. Because I wanted to eat it, we both got a small salad on the house. It was promised that the hotness would be better communicated to guests in the future. 5 stars for that.

Starters were tasty but expensive, main course, I had the Scheunenbürger and it was really nothing, with fries without sauce... The ambience was very loud and uncomfortable. I wouldn't eat there, especially since the food at the table had a delay of over 45 minutes, which was a no go. The waiters were very friendly

This evening we visited this great restaurant. Here you feel very comfortable when you are greeted by the extremely friendly staff. The menu leaves nothing missing. I had the fried beef liver with fried potatoes. So, without exaggerating, she was awesome, it couldn't be better!! My wife had a great fried pollack fillet with fried potatoes. We would love to come here again!

Delicious dishes at fair prices

The pieces of cake could be a little more lavish at €4.95, but the long drinks and cocktails at €7.95 are fair - and great! Everything else is fine too. Coffee is tasty, cappuccino is also available without caffeine, and the staff is really nice and warm. Card payment is no problem. On hot days you can sit here in the pleasant shade. Conclusion: worth it!

The restaurant is good opposite the Edeka supermarket. Our food was also super tasty and nothing to complain about, the price was also good and the staff was very nice.

Nice restaurant with very friendly and attentive service. Went there for coffee in the early afternoon. Asked for cake recommendations. Ordered chocolate cake. There was a mini piece of dry sheet cake. When paying, I asked in surprise whether €4.80 could be right for a piece of sheet cake. Yes, the boss sets the prices. People, that's how you scare away guests.

Everything was great, the food tasted very good and the price was completely reasonable for what you get. The only drawback during our visit was the service; unfortunately we were often overlooked or forgotten at our seat. That would be the only suggestion for improvement, otherwise TOP!

Sonntags angereist und tollen Service um 19:30 auf der Terrasse bekommen von der jungen neuen Servicekraft. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Trotz durchwachsenem Wetter bei 19 Grad . Donnerstags abends bei 25 Grad um 19:25 angekommen wollten wir nochmals die leckeren Spaghetti mit Gambas genießen nach einem Spritz und einen leckeren Primitivo dazu. Leider hat uns die sehr unfreundliche Servicekraft ( leider nicht mehr die junge freundliche vom Sonntag) direkt abgewiesen mit den Worten „ die Terrasse wird jetzt aufgeräumt, wir können ja drinnen sitzen ..“ und das bei 25 Grad tollstem Wetter . Leider erfahren wir hier immer öfter die Arroganz der Restaurants, dass der Gast nicht mehr Kunde ist, sondern Bittsteller . Danke - das brauchen wir nicht . Im Pico gleich nebenan wurden wir wie immer hervorragend bedient und haben sehr gut gegessen und getrunken mit dem Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. So gut das essen in der Scheune auch war, diese Arroganz ist nicht angebracht.

The fish was very dry and poorly breaded and unfortunately the fried potatoes weren't good either. . I didn't eat it. Unfortunately there was no response to my comment. But the staff was otherwise very nice. The schnitzel and the burger were good. It's a shame, we always enjoyed going there. But not recommended this time.

Nice but practical, cozy ambience in country house style, the food is simply delicious, fresh and high quality and definitely worth the price, you can also make “extra requests” and they will be fulfilled promptly. The staff is very friendly and attentive... We as a family have rarely eaten so well and felt so well served... We can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience!

One of the best restaurants in Glücksburg. The food is top class and the feel-good factor is more than great. Nothing beats the aioli, this is world class. The young waiter is particularly charming. There remains a permanent smile. I always like to come back. 😊🤗

Despite there being more than 10 free tables, we were sent home. Apparently everything is reserved.

One of not too many restaurants in the area which unfortunately has an impact on price and quality. The place is often full ( there are a number of camping grounds near by) and you better reserve if you plan to eat around 18:30. During the peak in summer you can expect a slow, but friendly, service.The kitchen is small but they are all working hard but do not expect to have your food in under 40 minutes- consequently let the children have some food before you enter. When you get your food it appears to contain pre-fabricated meat in order to serve as many people,with a minimum staff, as quickly as possible, so do not expect a genuine German kitchen. The ambiance is nice and with a bit of work it could be a restaurant you will re-visit frequently during a vacation but you are left with a feeling that it is a “seasonal service and there will be a new set of guest arriving soon. The staff are working hard and maintaining a friendly tone which makes you feel welcome.

It was a wonderful evening in the barn!!! Called at short notice on Sunday evening to get a table for 6 people. When we arrived we received a warm welcome and were really impressed by the atmosphere. Based on a barn as the name suggests and stylishly and comfortably furnished. I would particularly like to emphasize that the waitress, especially our youngest ones, was in a good mood and very patient when it came to answering their questions and giving great recommendations 😀. The waiting time was short and was shortened by a play area for the youngest children. The food was first class, whether it was brusquetta, garlic bread, burgers, plaice, grilled plates or nuggets, it was simply wonderful. The food was worth every penny and I would recommend it to everyone! We would love to come back should we be in the area again. Very great restaurant 😀😃😀

Here 5/5 stars. Great fresh food, great service, great building and centrally located. The portions are sufficient. The price is partly high, but justified. We were so full and really overwhelmed that you could also give the service a 10.

The restaurant is easy to find and there are enough parking spaces in front of the house. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy and you enjoy sitting there. The food was very tasty and it came quickly. The drinks were also delicious and looked nice, but unfortunately one of the glasses had dirt from the previous person on the inside. All in all, a really nice restaurant where there is a lot of attention to detail.

Surprisingly good range of food for those traveling through. However, the outdoor seating in the parking lot doesn't offer the atmosphere you would like.

You sit outside in the parking lot, which is fine. The young man in service is the highlight. Fast, very friendly and unobtrusive. He enjoys his work, you can tell that as a guest. The herring was good, as were the fried potatoes. The pasta was unfortunately drowned in a sauce where any flavor was masked by the massive addition of garlic. It's a shame about the remaining fresh vegetables. Sometimes (much) less is more.

Tut mir leid! Sehr schlechtes Essen! Miserabel abgeschmeckt und aufgewärmt deutlich nicht frisch zubereitet, Noch nie so teuer und schlecht gegessen! Wir kommen ganz sicher nicht wieder!
