Restaurant Primavera in Weimar

You can't beat the unfriendly people if you canceled a reservation early and the owner is not able to read your emails, even after he called you and sent him the email from the history again, you were also sent via WhatsApp insulted... fortunately for the owner that we weren't near his restaurant at the time

Late in the evening after arriving with a long-delayed train, all the other Rwstaurants were already closed. Even though Primavera also wanted to close the kitchen, they still made me a delicious Pizza Siciliana. Very good service!

Normally I don't write such negative reviews, this one is a first of its kind. My review is exclusively about the fact that from 9:22 p.m. you are no longer "allowed" to eat food on site, but rather are uncomprehendingly expelled from the restaurant because after all will close at 10 p.m. Even assurances that I was a fast eater were rejected with a restaurant reprimand. Really now? Where is the Italian charm? In summary: Nothing so unfriendly has ever happened to me.

We were in Weimar this afternoon (we're actually from Erfurt) and visited the restaurant "Primavera" on Buchenwaldplatz. Three brothers run the restaurant with a lot of commitment and honest hospitality. The restaurant is framed on two sides with large panoramic windows that let in a lot of light and you feel as if you were sitting directly on the small terrace. The spaghetti carbonara italiana was delicious and the panna cotta was just right. We really enjoyed our stay and we found a good friend again. Thank you very much Shukri, keep it up. We preferred to reserve a table for 4 people to ensure that we could eat there:) Service was friendly and humorous, the food took a little longer (there was also a lot to do) but it was tasty and filling. Prices are reasonable ;) if we are in Amsterdam again we will definitely come back

Bruschetta completely soggy and the edge black You only shred onions, the tomatoes will perish. Drinks prices are ridiculous. Definitely NOT a recommendation

This restaurant is upper middle class. Very attentive service. Beautiful live-style outdoor tables with a view of the pedestrian zone in Weimar on a sheltered corner. Drink prices at the upper limit. Don't wait long. Toilet facility still good. 20€ per person for food and drink is feasible. Cappuccino Italian with good taste!

I ordered bruschetta with spaghetti carbonara and the Italian salad (adjusted to the portion). For me everything was pretty okay. You have to prepare the salad yourself, with oil and balsamic vinegar. The oil was not good olive oil and the balsamic vinegar was very runny like water. The taste of the carbonara was neither parmesan nor cream, rather salty. The bruschetta was good but heaped with tomatoes. So it's a bit overpriced for me.

I would recommend everyone to eat here. Very tasty food and very nice staff and top prices👍🏼💯

Coming straight home from Italy on the stopover (and also with some other very tasty Italian restaurant memories in mind), we arrived here quite exhausted and unfortunately also with a lot of bad Italian restaurant memories from Germany without any great expectations. What can I say: the restaurant is awesome, the quality of the food is in no way inferior to the original Italian restaurants in lonely villages in Veneto, Tuscany or Lombardy. The antipasti are fresh, with spice, very excellent taste, versatile and prepared with love. The service was friendly and accommodating, the quantities served were as usual in Italy (primi piatti often come without any side dishes; some of the negative reviews here are hard to understand). The restaurant serves ars vivendi like the original in Bella Italia. That's how it should be, I highly recommend it.

We were in Weimar for 5 days and discovered the Primavera by chance near the main train station. THANKS for the coincidence... The food (pizza + pasta) was really delicious and worth the price (very good value for money). You really felt like you were in Italy. The pizza was well topped and the pasta was aldente. My wife also raved about their dessert (zabaione). The service was very friendly and always ready for a short, pleasant conversation (even though the tables were well occupied). All in all, we liked it so much that we visited the restaurant again. Our recommendation for anyone who wants good Italian food.

As seen in many other restaurants in Germany, they “unfortunately have issues with card payments at the moment”… However, it’s ALWAYS a permanent and deliberate management decision, because the restaurant won’t pay the fees it costs to accept card payments. As a customer, though, it is a major inconvenience in this day and age, to carry cash to pay for a family dinner. It’s 2024! The food was good.

My friends were really enthusiastic about their food, but as a vegan you don't have any food on the menu. If you ask, you get a salad, which tasted mainly of lemon. It was a shame, especially for the price, but an effort was made and that is appreciated!

On a Family Trip to Weiner we wanted something regional to eat. Food was overcooked and wrong condiments used, in my opinion. From Forelle fish to pork medallions were bland. So disappointed!

Tendency to be creepy. As a regular traveler to and from Italy for decades, dinner at Primavera was a bitter disappointment. It even went so far that I was wondering whether this was really an "Italian" or whether they were sailing under a "false flag". The reason for this assumption is the incorrect use of Italian in the menu and the fact that the staff cannot respond to an address in Italian. And finally, the "Italian" dishes that were served to me had very little to do with Italy, even though they were listed on the menu with an Italian name. The fact that there is only a small handful of open wines on the menu, for which the winemaker or winery and the vintages remain unclear, and next to them in the sunny window a collection of bottles without price labels, completes the whole thing.

Very good pizza, I have ordered calzone, not everybody can make it good. Good German draft beer. Good and fast service. Close to the main train station.

Good food and good service. Ordering a table online went without any problems. The only negative point is -> the toilets could be renovated.

Was delicious. Gladly again. But no card payment possible.

Enjoy your meal. Only the sauces were portioned very sparingly. And when it came to the dish of the day with mushrooms and beef, you could look for both among the noodles but were difficult to find. Hence a star deduction.

I had dinner at Primavera with my girlfriend on Valentine's Day. I was familiar with the restaurant and knew it would be a good choice. Once we made a reservation, something was available straight away and we received a very warm welcome, despite the restaurant being full. The service was very attentive, the food was delivered quickly and perfectly prepared. What else I can say, the mood and the ambience in general can only be recommended and there will always be an inner feeling of picking flowers. My praise to the whole Primavera team!!

A solid Italian restaurant with friendly service and reasonable price-performance ratio. Food tastes good, but is nothing special. There is still that certain something extra to the fifth star. Ambiance neat and cozy.

We were there with a larger group of 25 people. With advance orders via email and despite spontaneous special requests on site, the drinks and food were delivered very quickly and it was very tasty. Price-performance ratio was perfectly fine, the service staff were very attentive and radiated a cheerful aura. Rarely have we had such a relaxed and good meal in a restaurant with larger groups.

Food was good and really cheap for Weimar. The waiting time for the food was a bit long, I'm not used to over 45 minutes at an Italian restaurant. It was probably full... service was very nice and helpful.

Tagliattele Calabria mit Speck, Steinpilzen, Rucula, frischen Tomaten und Parmesan, sowie eine Pizza zum mitnehmen bestellt. 10min Wartezeit, freundlicher Service. Das Nudelgericht war unterirdisch. Rucula ca. 3 Blätter, frische Tomaten und Parmesan nicht zu finden. Geschmack schlecht. Pizza war okay aber auch kein Burner. Nie wieder.

Nette Pizzeria mit überraschenden Angebot. Die Küche liefert viel " handgemachtes' zu zivielen Preisen. Service kommt verbindlich und zuvorkommend daher. Auch Rollstuhl Benutzer sind willkommen. Allein es kann ein wenig eng werden, weil offenbar reger Publikumsandrang

Lammragout war unangenehm sehr sauer. Pizza Margherita mit getrockneten Basilikumkrümeln. Nudeln mit Lachs waren leicht sauer. Lasagne war gemischtes Durcheinander und innen kalt.

Gefühlt sind wir schon Stammkunden. Geburtstage feiern, Essen zur Abholung oder vor Ort einfach die bahnhofsnähe nutzen um sich vor dem Urlaub zu stärke. Gute Qualität von Personal und Küche! Weiter so!

Wir waren mit 20 Personen hier und haben trotz dieser großen Anzahl alle unser Essen schnell, zeitgleich und warm erhalten. Die Gerichte waren ausnahmslos sehr schmackhaft und die Bedienung war bemerkenswert freundlich. Hier würde ich immer wieder essen gehen.

Vorspeise war lecker und reichlich...gebr.Mozarella. Würde wahrscheinlich nicht mehr dort Essen gehen

Ich hatte nur kurz zum Trinken eines Radlers vorbei geschaut. Das kam dann auch recht flott und auch beim Bezahlen am Ende musste ich nicht warten. Aber warum bekommt man keine Quittung und nur auf einem Display gezeigt, was man zahlen muss???

Meine Freundin und ich waren gerade dort und nach dem Besuch sehr angetan! Wir haben eine Pizza four seasons und einmal Spaghetti Bolognese gegessen. Die Pizza war Hauch dünn und knusprig, wie man sie in einem guten Restaurant erwartet; absolut schmackhaft! Die Bolognese hat auch überzeugt, war sehr ausgewogen vom Geschmack - nicht zu Fleisch lastig, nicht über, sondern perfekt gewürzt. Die Nudeln hatten die richtige Bissfestigkeit. Der anschließende Espresso war herausragend gut und hat den Besuch zu einem wirklich netten Abend gemacht. Der Service war perfekt, zuvorkommend ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Freundlich und alles ging sehr schnell. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, danke für das leckere Essen!

Wir sind regelmäßig hier und das Essen und die Bedienung sind gut und freundlich! Gerade im Vergleich zu anderen überteuerten Italienern in der Weimarer Innenstadt kann man hier mit solider Pizza und Pasta, zusätzlich mit Saisonaler Karte, rechnen. Die Terrasse ist im Sommer auch nett.

We sat there and order starters and pizza. No disclaimer about cash payments only in any part of the restaurant. Starters and pizza came at the same time (they probably missed the meaning of "starters") Food was below average. Prices standard to the area when it was time for payment (I m a tourist from uk) I asked to pay by card and the main waiter started to fuffle something about card machine being broken. When I asked why during my trip in germany most of the restaurants have "broken card machine" he even got offended. Total was 35.20. I handed him a note of 50 and he even dared to comment how come I did not have 20cents with me. Result: I left with pockets full of coins as of course was too much hassle for him to discount 0.20 euros: disgraceful. Out of curiosity I then asked in my hotel about this restaurant and the locals confirmed the usual excuse of "card machine being broken" from this very smart restaurant manager. While I appreciate german obsession with card payments I cannot tolerate these attempts to outsmart people with ridicolous excuses. Of course no invoice/rechnung was produced: a nice undeclared cash payment on the back of tourists.
