Superb staff, totally authentic, highly recommended. Simply fantastic 👍🏽

Based on the reviews and word of mouth, I had imagined it would be much(!) better. I've rarely been so disappointed by a restaurant visit. We had a reservation, but the sudden rain made sitting on the terrace a bit uncomfortable, but moving inside was no problem. The newly assigned seats were in the back and quite dark. We lit our own lights and candles to create some ambiance, although the place certainly seems dated. I don't mind a rustic, charming atmosphere, but visible dust, cables dangling from jukeboxes, and outlets half-hanging out of the wall aren't exactly inviting. Not even in a trattoria. The fairly concise menu made us want more, but there's no wine list or large wine selection. Upon request, the drinks arrived; the beer was drunk from the bottle because, according to the waitstaff, there were no suitable glasses left and only small glasses were available. The welcome from the kitchen, in the form of bruschetta, was nice, but unspectacular, as it was unfortunately quite bland. Then the food arrived. Since my companion and I don't like eating pasta with our fingers, cutlery was provided upon request 5 minutes after eating. The pizza was okay, but the base was still quite pale, but at least it was cooked (Tirolese). The pasta dishes were disappointing. Spaghetti Bolognese, consisting of bright red passata and sparsely seared and only a small amount of ground beef, seemed very bland. (Definitely not ragu Bolognese!) Furthermore, in addition to spaghetti, there was also linguini among the pasta... The tagliatelle with porcini mushroom and Gorgonzola cream sauce tasted like a thickened, barely seasoned butter and cream mixture; only the mushrooms provided any flavor, as the Gorgonzola was either indistinguishable or presumably absent from the dish. Upon request, Parmesan cheese was served in a small juice glass, which at least added some flavor to an otherwise rather bland experience. There were no inquiries about the food. Paying was also complicated, as the card reader, patched with Sellotape, no longer had NFC functionality. Conclusion: An outdated, unkempt ambiance. Service was overworked and at times seemed overwhelmed. The food was neither up to par with good Italian food nor generally tasted good.

I went there alone at 8:00 p.m. looking for something to eat and was turned away in a strangely brusque and surprisingly rude manner. They said everything was reserved, even though several guests had obviously already left and the tables hadn't been re-set. Therefore, I can't rate the food, but given the hymns of praise for the chef, I was very surprised by the rudeness. It's a shame.

While on a business trip to Weimar, we were supposed to just get a quick pizza to go, but it turned into a very enjoyable hour with delicious pizza and tiramisu. When we walked in, we were even immediately offered a glass of wine to wait for. Takeout isn't common practice, so we were allowed to find a seat on the terrace. One of the best restaurant visits in a long time! Highly recommended, thank you very much 😊 If we're ever in Weimar again, we'll definitely be back!

Dad says it's like coming home! - And that's saying something. After we were already thrilled on Thursday, we spent Friday and Saturday evenings at the restaurant with my parents as well. Everything at Alessandro's restaurant is just perfect: the food was delicious every time, the atmosphere fantastic, drinks were even ready on the last evening, the price was excellent, and everyone felt at home. We were immediately greeted with bruschetta as a welcome from the kitchen. I wish this restaurant existed here in Bremen; we were regulars. Unfortunately only recommended to a limited extent. The classic Quattro stagioni pizza just didn't taste good. Way too sparingly topped and with little taste. An Italian whose pizza isn't top notch fails me personally.

On Easter Sunday the four of us were again welcomed, served and entertained by the owner in a very friendly manner and with a special sense of humor. The food was delicious, the drinks were plentiful and there was always a casual saying to go with it. Unfortunately, we had to experience a downer at the end - it's supposed to end at the end of the year. This state is doing everything it can to make small business owners give up. Such a shame. But we'll come again in December. You can only find a host like that here. THANKS.

La trattoria is great. Very tasty food and the owner is a real joker. It was very funny sitting there. First sparkling wine on the house, then limoncello. I will go there on every one of my visits to Weimar...

Food: Nothing to complain about, it was just enough and okay for the price. However, there is a point deduction for the two 1L plastic bottles (Cola) for €5 each. You then had enough to drink, but you have to like that if you're not used to it. Service: Very cool boss! Ambiance: Well decorated. Bonus point: got a table without a reservation.

Ich habe noch nie ein so schlechtes Vitello Tonato gegessen. Man hätte es stehen lassen sollen. Der Nudel-Hauptgang war OK. Der Primitivo war eher mäßig.

La Trattoria is our absolute favorite restaurant. Here you can enjoy good Italian food in a cozy atmosphere. Alessandro, with his witty and authentic manner, creates a lively atmosphere and encourages conversation between the tables. The restaurant is located in a very quaint and cozy historic building. We visit regularly and love the atmosphere. However, reservations are essential, as it's almost always fully booked (at least in the evenings). The prices are absolutely fair and reasonable.

5 stars speak for themselves! ABSOLUTE RECOMMENDATION!!! Cozy atmosphere, incredibly delicious food cooked with lots of love, generous portions, and a truly wonderful person who always strives to please all guests. We always enjoy treating ourselves to a little Italian break at La Trattoria.

The fact that the small restaurant on Brauhausgasse is almost always fully booked says it all. Most of the guests are regulars. We come regularly for several reasons: the food is simply great, handmade and fresh, the pizza dough is world class, I have never had better vitello tonnato anywhere, special requests are always possible and if you want to spend a happy evening where you regularly get into conversation with complete strangers, you definitely have to come here. The secret: Alessandro has an extraordinary, original and funny way of running his restaurant. Anyone who gets involved in this will spend unforgettable hours, but anyone who wants to be bored at the table will have to go somewhere else.

Such a beautiful, quaint building, so much Italian charm in the room. It's such a fun and delicious way to be looked after. If you live in Weimar or are just traveling through, you shouldn't miss this hotspot ;)

As tourists, we were extremely lucky to spontaneously get a table on a Saturday evening and experience the obviously best host in town at his best. We had fantastic, more than plentiful food and one of the most fun evenings in a long time! The chef is right when he says, "I'm Italian—a different quality!" 😁 Anyone in Weimar should definitely try to get a table here and enjoy the carefree hospitality we experienced! 5 stars plus! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

La Trattoria is not only a first-class restaurant, but has also become a second home to me. Alessandro, a truly good friend, runs his restaurant with so much passion that you simply cannot help but feel at home there. The food is always a delight, freshly prepared and full of flavor – exactly how Italian cuisine should be! In addition to the wonderful atmosphere, there's another star in the house: Georgio, Alessandro's loyal dog, whom I also look after from time to time. Dear Alessandro, thank you for your friendship, your hospitality, and for all the wonderful evenings with you. If you haven't been to La Trattoria yet, you should definitely do so! I tried so 3 times and finally reserved a seat. The food is very good, and the boss is a very nice and funny guy. Highly recommended!

We had reserved a table, and that worked out. However, it was for the evening before the boss went on vacation, so we had to accept that there was no beer available ("I'm going on vacation, so I won't order a draft anymore," "Beer isn't essential to life") and instead, we were immediately given a bottle of water without asking or ordering. When we were a bit surprised by the drink situation, the boss walked away and mocked us. That's unacceptable! We decided to leave the restaurant without ordering anything. This is beyond impudence and doesn't reflect Italian hospitality.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed last night. I reserved a table for a small group 3.5 weeks in advance. We arrived at the restaurant on the said day and time, full of anticipation. Upon entering, we stood in the hallway for minutes without being noticed. When we asked the kitchen staff if someone could help us and show us to our table, a waiter came over and said quite brusquely that all the tables were booked this evening and we should have made a reservation... I pointed out that I had done so weeks ago. He looked at his notes and said brusquely that there was nothing about our reservation, and that he had never heard of my name, and that he never writes down names for reservations anyway. It's always worked out well over the past few years; we've never missed a reservation... Of course, anything can happen, but then you should reconsider your tone and the way you handle such a situation. And just a side note: perhaps it would help to avoid such an unpleasant situation in the future if you simply wrote down your name and phone number when making a reservation.

Very pleasant atmosphere. The chef's style fits in with the world, but his sense of humor isn't to everyone's liking. The food was, as always, absolutely first-class.

Inspired by a visit to the theater on November 9th. 24 we looked forward to a meal together to end the wonderful evening. My telephone reservation went very well, especially since we couldn't come until 8:30 p.m. after our visit to the theater and we communicated this in advance. I was there at 8:29 p.m. and my six girls four minutes later. The reception was in a very unfriendly, almost aggressive tone and the tables began to be put together. This also visibly annoyed. My attempt to calm the situation ultimately led to me leaving the restaurant and us going to another restaurant. Whatever was going on with the waiter that day - I assume he was the manager of the restaurant - the way he treated the guests did not correspond to our expectations of a hospitable atmosphere. Unfortunately we had to give one star in order to publish the review. 7 women from Fläming

The food is simple but tasty, the wine is also served in 1 liter bottles and is welcome, the portions are almost too big, but you can take the leftovers with you. The innkeeper is an example of a person who loves his job, does it well and enjoys it, while generously spreading his infectious joy in life among his customers. The restaurant only has one disadvantage: it is always fully booked! A spontaneous visit is rather impossible. So don't forget to reserve a table!

Today we visited "La Trattoria" in Weimar with 11 people and spent a really perfect evening here. Despite the restaurant being fully booked (with a very nice outdoor area), a super friendly, attentive team in a great location at all times, the food and drink came quickly and was absolutely delicious. We didn't order alá carte, but left it to the team to prepare us a typical Italian evening and that was definitely a good decision: Bruscetta, vitello tonnato, olives, cheese and fresh bread as a starter, mushroom risotto, mussels, fish and medium fried beef on vegetables as a main course and then super delicious tiramisu and a really brilliant double espresso for dessert. Plus a limoncello on the house at the end and all served with a lot of refreshingly direct Italian humor and good humor from the boss and his team. Conclusion: We had a great evening, laughed a lot and ate/drank excellently. Many thanks to the entire team at “La Trattoria” and we would love to come back!

Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the food because when I arrived, the restaurant was fully booked, and there were no available seats. However, I give a one-star rating for the service. I left the restaurant in tears and still can't calm down after the incident with, I assume, the manager or whoever he was. The situation was as follows: I walked into the restaurant, looking for staff to seat me, went down the hallway, and encountered a staff member. He said, "There are no seats available." I politely thanked him and was about to leave when he shouted after me: "Why are you thanking me?!" and looked at me aggressively. I was surprised, taken aback, and repeated that I was simply saying thank you. Then he raised his voice, almost yelling: "When I say there are no seats, there are no seats!" I responded that I didn't mean anything by it, and I wasn’t saying anything else! I was backing away towards the door, and he kept guiding me out with wide eyes, almost shouting loud after me: "I saw your face, so don't say anything!" The thing is, after a recent surgery on my upper and lower jaw, I can't always smile properly, and sometimes it looks like a nervous tic, and I don't even realize it. I left the restaurant feeling like a stranger had just unleashed aggression on me for no reason. I just wanted to visit this unfamiliar place, and now I’m scared of local German waiters. I am bringing this to the attention of the restaurant, hoping the service will improve and people like me will feel welcomed and safe. Thank you. P.s. no stuff can act this way with a random polite visitors and instead of answering politely on polite "thank you" start pressure and show their bad day's mood, it's not your problem and not your business what's with someone's lady's face. It's no place for your judgment to give and especially if person just thanks you and leaves. I'm still stressed after visiting this restaurant with insanely behaved worker.

Alechandro ist nicht nur Eigner sondern voll involviert.Wir fühlten uns noch nie so gut aufgenommen wie bei ihm. wir waren zweimal bei ihm und haben 4 Gerichte gegessen.Alles war vorzüglich und allein dieses Lokal ist schon ein Grund nochmal nach Weimar zu fahren. I had dinner here with my girlfriend. We didn't have a reservation and were allowed to stay. We sat outside on the terrace. It was very cozy on a warm summer evening. There was a lot going on that evening and the service staff had a lot on their plate, but they were still very friendly and helpful. We have felt very comfortable here. Unfortunately the food was just average. I had pasta with salmon but there wasn't much of the salmon to be seen. I found that very unfortunate. It tasted good but I just know it differently and had different ideas. A pity!

The restaurant "Ristorante La Trattoria" was full and fully booked. Nevertheless, we were lucky that Alessandro saved a table for us. As always, the hospitality was great and entertaining. When heavy rain began, we were maneuvered inside. But in a very charming way :-) Always stay as great as you are!

Nach diesem unmöglichen Service kommen wir sicher nicht wieder. Unser reservierter Tisch stand erst nach 30 Minuten zur Verfügung. Wir mussten in der Kälte bei einem Prosecco aufs Haus warten. Unambitionieter Service, ein überforderter, unsympathischer Inhaber und Wein in der Qualität eine Tetrapackproduktes für 7 Euro pro Glas waren bereits Ärger genug. Obwohl am Samstagabend bis 22.30 geöffnet, gab es 21. 00 kein Dessert mehr ( nicht einmal ein Eis..) Ab 21.30 wurde neben uns laut die Küche geputzt und 22.00 Uhr forderte uns der Inhaber auf, zu gehen. Wir konnten es kaum glauben...

Antipasto was mediocre. I didn't find any vitello with the vitello tonnato. Well mortadella. This one tasted good. The tonnato sauce tasted like diluted mayonnaise. The mozzarella was melting mozzarella. So moderate. The ham with melon was good. The bread under the tomatoes with the crostini was warm but not crispy. Olive oil was missing. The fish dishes were no longer available, only fish with the pasta dishes. The pasta ai fungi porcini was tasty. Had to ask for grated Parmesan cheese. This was not easy because the staff was not very attentive. The wine had little taste. We didn't dare try the dolci to avoid disappointment. In short: no success for us.

Because of the many good reviews, we spent an evening in the trattoria and were looking forward to delicious, authentic Italian food. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The quality of the food is very average. Nothing special. Unfortunately, the wines are not recommended at all. We had the impression that it was more about quantity. The service staff were very friendly, which can't really be said about the boss. We wouldn't go there again.

Yesterday evening (Tuesday) we were there spontaneously as a group of three (2 adults + child) at 5:30 p.m. without a reservation. We were allowed to stay and our child was given something to snack on by the boss :) The service was excellent and the boss's funny nature made it really an experience. The food was very, very good and the grappa at the end made it perfect. Thank you for this lovely end to your holiday. We would love to come back and can only recommend it!
