A completely idyllic and beautifully decorated beer garden. It felt like a vacation 😊. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. There were no long waits. The food was delicious.

During our girls' weekend, we ate at Giardino twice because everything was just right. Great atmosphere, good service (one waitress in particular stood out), and delicious food at a fair price. We would go back again and again. Thanks to the whole team!

Very nice ambiance, the dishes were a bit pricey for the quantity, but delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a bit poor. We waited over an hour for our food; everyone who came after us had their food before us. We were constantly ignored by the passing waitresses, and finally, another waitress, who had also always ignored us before, came to take the payment and acted like we were the best of our guests...very strange behavior.

The location was very nice and full of positive expectations. These were unfortunately completely dashed. We ordered food at 7 p.m., but by 9:30 p.m., despite repeated inquiries, we hadn't received anything. The staff were very inattentive and disorganized. At 9:30 p.m., the last straw came: the waiter commented, "I guess we won't be able to make it today anyway." Extremely unprofessional. No concessions or discounts were offered. We were dismissed with a "see you next time"—probably not going to be able to make it today!

What a disappointment! The setting is magnificent, the food is good, but we waited 2 hours (!) for our food, and rather than apologize, we were told that we weren't at McDonald's (!!). This is unworthy of an establishment of this standing. We will not be back

We had a reservation for 10 people. We waited an hour and a half before receiving our meals (their justification being "this isn't McDonald's"). Some of the beef fillets were undercooked, and the mushrooms were too salty. After this initial disappointment, we learned that there were no desserts left. After a long negotiation, the servers offered us a free scoop of ice cream per person in return. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the servers showed no professionalism. We are extremely disappointed with this experience, which seemed promising. We will definitely not be returning.

Gardino in the Oppelschen Garden is a fantastic restaurant for the summer. There's only outdoor seating, so it's only open when the weather's nice. You can expect very friendly, attentive, yet unobtrusive service, truly delicious food, and a unique ambiance in the heart of the city. We started with really fresh oysters, followed by perfectly cooked entrecôte, and finished the evening with a delicious tiramisu. The wine recommendation was also very good. We're always happy to come back! The only drawback: Limoncello is missing from the menu :)

A huge disappointment. The food on the menu wasn't available because the staff were sick. That's fine, but what's not okay is that we weren't informed. Only when we had ordered drinks and wanted to order the main course were we told that they only had the (overpriced) pasta dishes. No meat, no tarte flambée. I cook pasta at home. She didn't want to hear that. No understanding of our annoyance. We were told to order something else. We were then asked to pay for the closed bottle of water. Not recommended, or ask as soon as you enter the restaurant if you can get something to eat.

A beautiful restaurant with a unique garden setting. It's somewhat hidden in Seifengasse, but definitely worth a visit. Reservations are recommended for dinner in the evening. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful, warm day in Weimar in mid-September. We immediately used it to have something to eat and drink in the beautiful garden in a prime location. The service was incredibly attentive, customer-oriented and just plain nice! And the food was delicious! An absolute recommendation for every Weimar traveler in the warm season!

To put it bluntly, that was the worst meal we've had in a long time. My partner and I both ordered pizza. The pizza arrived lukewarm. How is it possible to serve a supposedly freshly baked pizza almost cold??? The toppings and tomato sauce were absolutely tasteless. The dough was also inedible. You could tell that the pizza hadn't been made with any love. For a pizza that costs €20 each, I expect a certain level of class, but that's far from it... This pizza wasn't worth €5, and a little compensation for the guests would also be welcome. A real flop!

A beautiful place. Very special, a garden restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was not good. After 30 minutes and asking the "wrong" waiter twice for drinks, we still didn't get anything! Absolutely unacceptable. We paid more than €100 for two appetizers, pasta, and pizza. That was a stretch. Overall, we had a lovely time and spent an idyllic evening. Would you recommend it? Was really good, surprising outdoor location in the city center. A bit hidden but worth it. We had enough antipasti for lunch. There is a special picture in the outdoor kitchen. Left Napoleon in the French campaign of 1814. From an 1864 painting by Ernest Meissoniere. But the right side is completely unknown to me. It may represent Frederick Wilhem of Prussia after the battle of Jena in 1806. This may possibly be an artistic composition. Who knows?. So that's a funny side effect.

We stayed here on the recommendation of our hotel next door, the Goethehaus. Nice atmosphere, hidden, you can watch the grill while cooking, neat waitresses, service worked and we were very happy with the food, had tagliatelle with salsiccia and paccheri with strips of beef fillet. The price is high, but we're used to that in Bavaria and the top location also costs money, so it was justified. Good recommendation!

The biggest mafia house in Weimar! Almost all Italian restaurants/cafés in Weimar belong to Giancarlo and are thus displacing others. Please do not support this store. Apart from that: The table next to us waited 2 hours for their food. Thank God we weren't that unlucky. When we arrived the cards were put in front of us, but only when we wanted to order were we suddenly told that pizza and tarte flambée were out, i.e. 1/3 of the menu. The price-performance ratio is questionable, the prices are all at €20 and above, even for pasta with sauce, pizza etc. without meat. Dessert all at €8.50 for small portions. Creme brûlée was also out.

We discovered the restaurant by chance and loved the place. Unfortunately the service was poor. We wanted to correct our order after 1 minute, but that was no longer possible! An individual order was also not implemented. The service is not attentive and we had to refill the wine ourselves. Conclusion, the ambience is beautiful and the service is poor.

The Giardino is a very nice restaurant with fine dining. The waitresses are very nice and attentive. The quality of the food is appropriate for the high prices, only the starters are too expensive. Of course you can sit in the garden surrounded by greenery and the trees make it very pleasant even on hot days. The food is freshly prepared in the open kitchens and is really delicious. The pizzas are huge. For us one of the best restaurants in Weimar. Due to the location, it is unfortunately only open in the summer from April to September. Reservations are now possible, unfortunately the address of the Giancarlo Group's main restaurant is on the business card, so if you don't know your way around, you'll end up in front of the wrong restaurant, which is what happened to our parents.

Giardino, conclusion: nice idea with the garden restaurant, different kitchens in different small buildings (pavilion, greenhouse, open barbecue area and pizza bakery) and different seating areas for dining and bar service. Prices overpriced because they don't correspond to the quality (taste and portion size), cutlery with greasy fingerprints, tablecloth with glass rims from the day before, as well as the baguette. Unfortunately, the service is not appropriate for the price range (and in one-word sentences). The guests are tourists and Weimar snobs (with gelled hair) and/or business lunches. You can do it on vacation, but we wouldn't choose it again. 😉

Even at 31 degrees, it's very comfortable to sit in the garden and enjoy wonderful food! Really nice service and delicious wine! We had Duroc Tomahawk and Tagliatelle Ragout a la Verdure. We'll be back!!!

We were here for dinner. It was quite empty, with less than 25% of tables occupied. The staff wasn't attentive and seemed very "aloof". The portions of the food are very small, but quite expensive. The composition of the dishes/side dishes sometimes takes a lot of getting used to, also in terms of taste. The few wines are not of high quality, as are the prices. We were there once, but certainly not again.

Good fresh Italian cuisine is served in the historic Oppelschen Garden from the 18th century! Quietly located and very well-kept garden area with 3 open cooking stations, open daily from April to September. Further information about the history can be found on the website. We made a reservation for the evening at short notice. Our culinary expectations were even exceeded; considering the fairly moderate prices, we ate very well here. The house served white bread and hearty breadsticks with some aioli. Our main courses were very convincing in terms of taste and quality - super fresh ingredients. My loved one chose the tagliatelle with salsiccia and pesto (€16.90) and for me there was the Duroc Tomahawk pork chop with rosemary potatoes and grilled vegetables (€23.90). Unfortunately, we had to forego starters and desserts due to our sumptuous lunch. Since we enjoyed the evening so much, we spontaneously went back to this beautiful oasis for lunch the next day. We also liked the cheap lunch offer (€13.50 with espresso and bread). First of all, a small portion of penne was served with a well-made tomato sauce and the main course was beautifully spicy salsiccia with crispy fresh salad. Very good value for money. The selection of open wines was very limited, so I later had to make do with the lonely Verdicchio. A somewhat more extensive offering would be desirable. The Prosecco is also rather average, a nice Franciacorta would be something fine and would go much better. Unfortunately, the young service ladies, some of Asian origin, did not do justice to this beautiful summer location. Fortunately, we don't experience such listless, unmotivated and inattentive service very often. A little more openness and willingness to communicate could work wonders. Well, the staff shortage! Often the restaurateurs have to take what comes along. The middle-aged lady, possibly the owner or the service manager, was much more open-minded. Food and location great! Wine and service needs improvement! Still recommended!

Unfortunately it's a bit hidden at the end of a small alley, but it's definitely worth a visit. Everything perfect. However, you sit outside in a beautiful and quiet garden.

Special understanding of service

Today we accidentally discovered an absolute gem in Weimar. Incredibly beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. Of course the weather was also favorable. But the garden invites you to linger. The food was incredibly good. High quality at an excellent price-performance ratio. The open grill in particular not only ensures great dishes, the smell also whets the appetite for more. The service was very good. Attentive, quick, extremely friendly and yet reserved. We were almost a little sad not to have discovered this wonderful location sooner. We will come more often! Many thanks also to Julia, who takes such wonderful care of everything.

A great summer evening, magical ambience and very tasty food. The ravioli with mushrooms and truffles were very tasty, the meat was freshly grilled with grilled vegetables and rosemary potatoes... really tasty and so good that we will visit the restaurant on our second evening in the city. What can I say about Guardino Restaurant? We were lucky to get a place, although unfortunately we didn't make a reservation. The delicious antipasti were delicious and the entrecôte melted in your mouth. The service and stylish atmosphere make the restaurant a must-visit gem in the heart of Weimar. Today we discovered a real gem of a restaurant at the end of the soap alley. Today's specialty, tagliatelle with cod in saffron-lime sauce, was an absolute dream. The pizzas and veal liver were also a real treat. The whole thing was rounded off with tiramisu in a large glass. Together with the ambience of a Mediterranean garden including a pavilion, barbecue area and bar counter, the impression of a short vacation in Italy arose in Weimar. We will definitely come back here on our next visit.

Very very tasty. We had antipasti deluxe, pasta with rabbit and pasta with beef fillet tips, tiramisu. Very courteous and attentive service and great ambience in the garden. For the quality and service, the price was reasonable and could be higher. Definitely again next time in Weimar.

Wunderbares Ambiente, herzlicher Empfang, freundlicher Service und leckeres, frisches Essen, der Salat frisch und knackig, die Hauptspeisen sehr lecker und heiss auf den Tisch. Alles in Allem sehr zu empfehlen!!

Diese Pizzaria ist ein wenig verstesckt neben dem Goethe Haus, in einem wunderschönen Garten wie ich finde. Das Essen war gut - okay und der Service war auch gut. Am schönesten ist das Ambiente.

Ich fand es nicht gut. Super lange gewartet. Wenn man nur was trinken will, nervt man das Personal. Erheblich überteuert. Getränke kosten bei den Mitbewerbern gut 20% weniger. Keine Parkplätze.

Ein ganz besonderes Restaurant in einer ganz besonderer Umgebung. Dafür allein schon 5 Sterne 🌟. Personal sehr zuvorkommend und mega nett. Essen ausgezeichnet. Speisen werden an einzelnen, offen einsehbaren Stationen im Aussenbereich zubereitet. Die Bar ist im Oppelschen Gartenhaus untergebracht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Allerdings wäre leise Musik noch viel schöner beim Genießen in der tollen Umgebung.
