Gehen vorbildlich mit Bestellfehlern um, freundlich, sehr leckeres Essen. Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Restaurant. Mir haben die Zucchinipuffer besonders gut gefallen. Das Souflaki war ebenfalls sehr sehr gut.

Wir waren Freitags Abend mit einer Gruppe zu zehn Personen dort. Das Restaurant ist modern eingerichtet und Parkmöglichkeiten ausreichend vorhanden. Leider war der Service etwas überfordert und wir mussten eine halbe Stunde warten, bis die Bestellung aufgenommen wurden und eine weitere Stunde, bis serviert wurde. Dieses allein wäre zu verschmerzen, aber leider waren die Gerichte größtenteils übergart und zwei Fischgerichte zu stark gesalzen. Der gegrillte Oktopus als Vorspeise war sehr lecker Auf die Bemerkung, dass noch eine Portion Zaziki fehlte, wurde geantwortet, dass wir ja schon zwei Portionen hätten!? Alles in allem war der Service aber sehr freundlich.

Wenn man darauf zu fährt, macht es erst nicht so einen guten Eindruck, weil es direkt in einer Kurve liegt. Ich hatte aber schon so viel gutes darüber gehört, dass ich dachte- probiere es mal aus. Wir haben draussen auf der Terasse gesessen und kann daher über die Inneneinrichtung nichts sagen. Es ist alles liebevoll dekoriert und Olivenbäume etc. dienen als Sichtschutz. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen wirklich lecker und frisch zubereitet und die Portionsgröße so, dass man auf jeden Fall satt wird. Ich musste leider feststellen, dass ich mich da etwas überschätzt habe. :-) Ich kann es vorbehaltlos empfehlen!

Sehr gute griechische Küche, dies beinhaltet die Vorspeisen und auch die Hauptgerichte. Hier bekommt man nicht wie bei vielen anderen üblich, große Teller mit trockenen Fleischbergen. Angenehme Atmosphäre, guter Service und Sauberkeit ist hier natürlich Standard. Meine Empfehlung Meeresfrüchtesalat.

Seit Jahren unser Favorit für gehobene griechische Küche im Umkreis! Die hervorragende Speisenqualität über sämtliche Zutaten hinweg wird von der natürlichen Freundlichkeit des gesamten Personals noch übertroffen.

Bei meinem Besuch war ich leider eher enttäuscht. Der Beilagensalat wirkte auf mich etwas lieblos angerichtet. Bei meinem Gyros-Souvlaki-Teller habe ich zudem das Pitabrot sowie ein cremiges Tzatziki vermisst, wie ich es persönlich von einem griechischen Restaurant erwarten würde. Das Souvlaki war nach meinem Empfinden außerdem recht trocken. Auch der Service machte auf mich eher einen distanzierten Eindruck, sodass ich mich nicht besonders willkommen gefühlt habe. Insgesamt war mein Besuch daher für mich nur bedingt überzeugend. Auch ein kleiner Absacker zum Abschluss wurde nicht angeboten, was ich aus anderen griechischen Restaurants anders kenne.

Immer unf zu jeder Zeit zu empfehlen. Leckeres Essen, frisch zubereitet und ein absolut freundlicher Service. Sehr nette Betreiberfamilie ❤️

Ein super schöner Abend zu meinem 70igsten Geburtstag. Danke an das gesamte Team...

Anfangs sah es so aus, dass wir keinen Tisch für 2 Personen bekommen würden, aber ein freundlicher Kellner hatte doch einen Tisch klarmachen können. Prompt konnten wir unsere Getränke bestellen. Die Auswahl der Speisekarte war optimal. . Vorspeise gebratene Sardellen.Top. Hauptgang Doradenfilet mit Gambas. Top. Der Abschluss wurde mit der Süßspeise Panakota hervorragend übertroffen. Leider war die Akustik suboptimal. Es war schon schwer sich konzentriert zu unterhalten. Wo dann sich einige Tische im vorderen Bereich leeren, wurde es auch angenehmer. Der Service war ebenso ohne Abzüge Note 1

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Ausreichend Parkplatz sind kostenfrei vorhanden. Speisekarte mit viel Auswahl.

Das Ambiente hat mir sehr gut gefallen, sehr gemütlich, wenn auch leider sehr laut, in Nähe meines Tisches saß eine Gesellschaft, die es schwer möglich machte, sich am Tisch in normaler Lautstärke zu unterhalten. Der Service ist zwar zackig allerdings musste ich auf mich aufmerksam machen, wenn ich eine weitere Bestellung aufgeben wollte. Am Essen gab' es nicht auszusetzen, ich hatte Leber und die war hervorragend.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen, nette Bedienung... Einfach nur :zu empfehlen. 5 Sterne.....

Moin Preis Leistung past nicht.Vom Hauptgericht wirst du nicht satt als Erwachsener.Allso eine Vorspeise bestellen. VOM PREIS her könnte etwas mehr auf dem Teller sein. Geschmack gut.

Wir haben gestern das Silvester-Menü hier genossen - das Bild spricht für sich. Es war rundum ein phantastischer Abend mit hervorragendem Essen und Service. Volle Punktzahl 👌🏻

Das Essen im Poseidon war von Anfang bis Ende sehr schmackhaft und frisch zubereitet – man schmeckt die Qualität der griechischen Küche. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Personal: Alle waren unglaublich nett und aufmerksam, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Man fühlt sich als Gast wirklich willkommen und bestens umsorgt. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut okay und fair für die Portionen. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die gut essen gehen möchten.

Das Restaurant hatte trotz Weihnachtszeit einen Tisch. Die Kellner waren sehr aufmerksam und das Essen kam schnell und war sehr gut. Zu empfehlen ist auf jeden Gyros. Das Restaurant ist liebevoll eingerichtet und auch der Außenbereich sehr schön geschmückt.

Essen wie immer sehr lecker. Es wurde komplett renoviert im August 2025, sehr schön und edel.

Etwas abgelegen von der Hattinger Altstadt liegt dieses griechisches Restaurant. Wir waren zu viert vor Ort und hatten diverse Vorspeisen die alle sehr gut waren. Auch die Hauptspeisen war sehr lecker. Einziger Kritikpunkt war das Bier. Hier gibt es leider kein Fiege oder Stauder vom Fass sondern Veltins und Frankenheimer Alt. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.

Alles sehr ordentlich und gepflegt. Schöne leise Musik und einladendes Ambiente, schneller Service und sehr leckeres Essen ! Der Hauswein (rot) ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder !

We visited Poseidon with the family for the first time today. It was fantastic. There was plenty of parking available. The decor was modern and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was perfect, from the appetizers to the main course and dessert. The value for money was absolutely excellent. We will definitely come back.

Friendly service, fast, and excellent food that's satisfying even for a hearty eater. The restaurant is very busy, making reservations essential. Unfortunately, this also means it's quite warm and quite noisy.

Although the restaurant has apparently been there since 1987, this was the first time we ate there even though we don't live that far away. It certainly won't be our last time because the food was top-class. I've enjoyed going to Greek restaurants for over 50 years, but Restaurant Poseidon surpasses almost them all. I had a mixed grill with bifteki, souvlaki and gyros. Unfortunately, there was no tzatziki with it, so I had to order that separately. Everything was perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection and really delicious. My wife had moussaka, which she also enjoyed very much. The restaurant is really big and accordingly noisy and the waiters are very busy, so service sometimes took a while. We were completely satisfied.

A fantastic restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and a chef who is a master of his craft—a delicate delight from the first bite to the last! We will certainly dine there again and highly recommend this restaurant.

Three of us ate there today. We're all from Bochum, and why? Because the food tastes the best here. Even friends from Fehmarn only eat here. I can highly recommend Poseidon in Hattingen. Kudos to the chef. I highly recommend anyone who wants Greek cuisine to try Poseidon.

Review: This was the second time we visited the restaurant with a larger group – including many children. Unfortunately, the same problem occurred again as last year. The children's dishes were served directly with the adults' appetizers. This meant that the children finished their meals quite quickly and had nothing else to do afterward, while we adults had to wait a long time for our main course. After just a short time, the children became restless, so we – as in the previous year – had to turn on a tablet with a movie to ensure some peace and quiet at the table. The main courses for the adults, like last year, took a very long time to arrive. When we asked, we were again referred to the kitchen staff – understandable, but not a satisfactory solution for us as guests, especially not with a sense of déjà vu from the previous year. The food itself was good and the service friendly, but the organization – especially for groups with children – was unfortunately inadequate. Better coordination of the courses, later serving of children's meals, and a small range of activities for children (e.g., painting sets or a play area) would make the visit much more relaxing. It's a shame, because the potential for an all-round successful visit is definitely there.

Excellent restaurant. Top service. Changing daily menu. 100% authentic. Fish dishes are particularly recommended (tuna, sea bream), and the steaks are also top notch.

Three of us decided to eat there today on a whim. It was incredibly delicious. I had the calamari, which was tender with a delicious crust. My daughter had bifteki, which was so light and juicy, and my husband had gyros and souvlaki. The portions were generous and the service was first-class. Everyone was very friendly, attentive, and incredibly fast. We haven't had such good food in a long time. Thank you! See you soon.

We were a group of 24 people. The restaurant is large and was very busy. The staff was friendly, we arrived at 6:30 p.m., unfortunately the food didn't arrive until 9 p.m. Despite the many topics and conversations, the waiting time seemed very long to us. Food was good. 7 out of 10 points. Menu was created for parties.

I had dinner there with my wife and daughter. Unfortunately the food wasn't that great. The chicken breast I ordered was tough and somehow tasted like it had been thawed. Of course the food remained. After I told the waiter my displeasure, he tried to console me with an ouzo. Well, customer service looks different. Too bad. Not again.

The ambience is inviting and beautifully designed. Unfortunately, the food still has a lot of room for improvement. Our appetizers were the highlight of the visit. The main course, in my case linguine with salmon, was way too much, not much sauce, which didn't have much flavor and unfortunately too little salmon. The salad that came with other main courses was already served during the starter. The plates all came to the table very isolatedly, so we couldn't start eating together. All in all, a somewhat disappointing visit, although after our criticism, the kitchen brought us a dessert (Greek yogurt with honey, almonds and jam) as compensation, which we actually didn't need anymore because we were all completely full.

Really good and modern restaurant. Very good service, polite, competent and very accommodating, first class food. To be rated negatively: table for 4 separated by a “partition”, felt like a table for 6 due to the physical and acoustic proximity, unfortunately no intimacy.

We had dinner here with a couple who were friends of ours. The reception was friendly and we got a seat quickly. The orders were taken quickly and delivered on time. Questions about the wine pairing were answered in detail. The food was prepared in a modern way and the ingredients were very fresh. Which was reflected in the taste. The staff was attentive and created a family atmosphere despite the size of the restaurant.

Everything is really right here. The service is friendly and attentive, very nice ambience and very tasty food. I would even say it is the best Greek restaurant I have ever eaten at. All dishes are very finely balanced, big praise to the chef.

The service took a long time and the dishes were not cleared away after the meal so that the main course had no place on the table. Drinks were empty and no one asked for a new order. The liver was tough. The place was very loud.

The service was friendly and unobtrusive, although a bit inattentive. My meal, lamb chops, was excellent, although at 33.50 it was priced quite high. To drink I chose a wheat beer, I was served the bottle and the glass, so I had to pour myself. I find it borderline. For wheat beer number 2, I was only brought a bottle without asking if I wanted a new glass. Sorry, but this is not a reasonable service in the price range. There was no “ouzo on the house” either, which I find a bit strange with a relatively large table for a Greek. Overall, I have to say that, despite the really tasty food, I probably won't visit the restaurant again.

We were there with 20 people for Christmas dinner from work. Since it was very full, we had to wait a long time for food and drinks, but we understood that. With a final amount of over 800 euros, the owner could have shown his appreciation in the form of a little something from the house.

The rooms have been redesigned. I liked the photographs better, but that's a matter of taste. The food is delicious, plentiful and very good selection.

The other half of the restaurant was also renovated during the summer break and we are absolutely thrilled. Everything really looks super classy and turned out beautifully. Yesterday we spontaneously went to Poseidon with 5 people after I googled for a good Greek restaurant in the Hattingen area. We were all very impressed by the nice and friendly atmosphere. The waiters were very accommodating, nice and professional. The food was extremely tasty: we shared several starters beforehand and were thrilled! The Gavros in particular were my personal highlight! The starters are not mini portions, so we were actually already full afterwards…. And that as “good eaters”. Both the fish and meat main courses were freshly prepared and simply delicious!😋 I'm glad I get salad with oil and vinegar at a Greek restaurant... I've never had (American, French, yogurt...etc) dressing on my salad in Greece. 😅 Even if one or two regular guests may miss it. 😎 See you soon!👋

I had the summer menu, which was served in 3 courses by extremely friendly and cheerful staff. Everything tasted very good, the portion sizes were ok, and the price-performance ratio was no reason to complain. Gladly again!

Were here again after a long time and I was completely thrilled! Service was very friendly, but due to how busy the place was, it was a bit too much for them here and there and you had to wait a little. My meal was impressively good, had salmon with vegetables and rosemary potatoes. The fish was perfect, the sauce was delicious and everything was very tasty! Thanks for that 🤩

Relatively expensive starter. Tzatziki small portion €6.90. No ouzo before or after the meal. Untypical for a Greek. There are better ones in Hattingen.Sorry🤷 Oh and I was there 2 weeks ago. So before the company holidays. According to the billing, Zaziki was €6.90. Maybe it was billed incorrectly by mistake. And no ouzo either before or after. Untypical for a Greek restaurant.

Ein „echter Grieche“ mit einem reichhaltigem Speiseangebot. Trotz des großen Angebotes, alles was wir bislang gegessen haben,war sehr gut. Hier gibt es auch noch ein leckeres Gyros und eine Lammhaxe in der Backfolie mit Tomaten und Fetakäse aus dem Backofen. Der neue Gastraum ist sehr schön geworden. Vorm Haus gibt es noch reichlich Plätze für schöne Tage. Immer wieder eine Freude dort Gast zu sein.

Went to the opening of the new guest room today. It turned out very nice. Now the ambience matches the great food and great service even better.
