Very, very tasty and friendly Cozy in the pavilion

The food is tasty and beautifully presented. I would have expected more sauce for the gyro in Metaxa sauce. The portions are sufficient to large, which is commendable. The noise level is quite loud, especially when there are a lot of people. There are plenty of servers, but it still takes a while to order and get something. The staff is very friendly and always seems to be trying hard. The downgrade for not receiving a 5☆ is due to the points mentioned. In conclusion, the restaurant is recommended. 👍

Unfortunately, parking is difficult, and you have to be a bit brave. The table was reserved in advance, so there was no waiting time. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for service at the table, and we were asked twice for the missing Aperol before it finally arrived. It also took 45 minutes for us to order food (the table next door waited an hour for food). The food was very generous and delicious. Service and organization could be improved. A bread basket with tzatziki, as you usually get at Greek restaurants, would have been nice.

I had high expectations, but was disappointed. The food was lukewarm/warm instead of hot, and tasteless. The portions seemed carelessly prepared. The staff seemed unfriendly, which made the overall experience unpleasant. For the price, I expect significantly more care in the preparation and service. I wouldn't visit again.

I wouldn't recommend it. Any Greek chip shop is better. The first round of drinks goes quickly. After asking four times that 12 people wanted to order main courses and appetizers, there was a 50-minute wait until the manager personally took our orders. She was visibly upset that we were upset, but didn't feel any fault and even blamed us, as we could have spoken to her directly. If you don't understand service, you should give up. I don't even want to start mentioning that with several orders, something was missing, forgotten, over-salted, and drink orders had to be placed three times. I wanted to prove myself wrong; this was the fourth attempt and the last, and there has been no improvement in three and a half years.

The food there is truly excellent. The price/performance ratio is decent. The service could be better. Our drink orders were forgotten several times. And the wait was long.

Six of us went there for dinner after making a reservation by phone. The manager was very unfriendly, but she was the only one who took food orders. Accordingly, it took a long time. The other servers were friendly. The food wasn't good; the baked gyro was dry, and the liver had tendons... the fries were lukewarm. We tried to pay in pairs, but the manager, still unfriendly, presented us with the total amount and made no attempt to add up the individual items. We had a similarly bad experience there about three years ago, but wanted to give it a second chance. It was definitely not a good idea, and we certainly won't be spending any more money there!

1. The food tastes worlds better at other Greek restaurants. 2. The boss (the older one, not Costa) is extremely unfriendly and doesn't speak German. 3. He ALWAYS rounds up the bills at the end, without exception, and pockets his undeserved tip. Clever tactic. Yesterday, we went out to eat and paid €24.50 for chicken breast with fries and a large Coke. After checking at home, we realized it should have cost €23.10. It's a disgrace. It's not about the change, it's about the principle.

We ate there yesterday. One of us only wanted a small portion because we weren't that hungry. However, the waiter said that small portions were only available for children. There were also people smoking in the restaurant.

The owner/cashier was reluctant to accept Visa card payments and made me stand at the cash register for an infuriatingly long time, making mock arrangements at other tables. Horrid arrogance – never again!

We often make reservations for birthdays with at least 8 people, on weekends and when the weather is nice it is always well attended, I like to order the pepper steak and scampi saganaki

A must every time we are in Krefeld. No words are needed...go there, enjoy and feel good.

Always good and happy. Unfortunately there are not enough vegan alternatives, but you can get along well with the vegetable starters. It might be an idea if you could prepare sauces and salads with vegan cream. That would improve the selection considerably. A small selection of vegan meat alternatives would of course be premium. That's why I deducted a star. 5 stars for meat eaters.

Food was good and we will definitely come back. That's the main thing. The price is still okay, unfortunately that's the case today. Staff could be a little more attentive. Ambience very crowded and sometimes loud.

The meat is very tender and the dishes are served very quickly. What I personally don't like is that the meat disappears under the sauce. It's a shame, because you want to see the meat and not guess it. Otherwise everything is fine.

We had a lovely evening. The food was good, it was very tasty but also simple. For example, I have Didn't pick up the "salad dressing" at all, it's just plain ready-made cocktail sauce. I don't understand why you don't save yourself the trouble and make a delicious house dressing yourself (cheaper and more authentic) which then leaves you in trouble - that's when the cook in me comes out who doesn't believe in convenience - sorry. I had the lamb shank which was very good, unfortunately the potatoes that came with it were so hot that I couldn't eat them until I had almost finished the shank. I missed some stewed vegetables. Otherwise it was a successful evening and the price-performance ratio was very good. One star deducted for the ambience, it smelled a bit like damp walls and the toilet facilities could have been a bit cleaner. The service was consistently friendly and quick. Almost too fast. 😅 I found a new place to go again. 👌

We had dinner today with a larger group and a small child. The parking situation is an absolute nightmare. Given the size of the restaurant, the parking lot would have to be 2-3 times larger. We first spent 30 minutes driving through the area and arrived at the restaurant already feeling stressed. The food was very tasty, although for my taste it was undersalted and the leg length salad with cocktail sauce was also rather basic. The starters were really great, especially the cheese croquettes :). The service here also had room for improvement, but I've heard that things can be different in this restaurant, depending on where you sit and when. The waiters were all professionally nice, just not very attentive in some cases. 2 things that bother me personally about Greeks... I've never been to a Greek restaurant where at least one ouzo wasn't on the house... Today was the first time... our main courses were also served without tzatziki, which is probably also on the menu, but is unworthy of the Greeks and smells like money-making... Irritated, everyone at the table orders more and then you get a mini portion for 5 euros! Be that as it may... you can eat delicious food in this restaurant... My main points of criticism are the parking situation, which spoils your visit a bit in advance. This followed by the service, no ouzo and tzatziki only for an additional charge of 5 euros, unfortunately depresses the overall rating somewhat. Ambiance was ok, toilets a bit dingy, but it worked. All in all it was ok, in my opinion there are better Greeks in Krefeld. But it was also a long way from me saying it was bad...

Had dinner here with my girlfriend yesterday. A few years ago the food was better, service too. Fries not crispy and unseasoned, starter salad only a few snippets, layered with ready-made cocktail sauce. GYROS in the restaurant had already been put aside twice because it was full of tendons... And unfortunately the background noise was so intense that you could hardly have a conversation without getting loud yourself. For my comfort...... no longer recommended. And especially not when you want to invite guests. What a shame!

Food was good but the portion size was sufficient at most, the service was great, the bowling alley was in urgent need of renovation. You really have to do something here!

A visit to the “Poseidon” restaurant was like a little trip to Greece – a real treat for the senses! As soon as we entered we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The loving decoration, the soft light and the quiet Greek music in the background made us immediately forget everyday life. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The staff always tried to fulfill our every wish without seeming intrusive. We were particularly impressed by the warmth with which we were welcomed and served. But the real highlight was of course the food. The grilled octopus was simply spectacular – tender, perfectly seasoned and with a hint of smoke that rounded out the dish. Every bite was an experience that brought us closer to the taste of the Mediterranean. The side dishes, such as the fresh tzatziki and the crusty bread, were also excellent. The menu offered a wide selection of authentic Greek dishes, each of which promised a culinary delight. Our evening was perfectly rounded off with a homemade dessert and a glass of ouzo. “Poseidon” is a place we will definitely return to. It's not just a restaurant, but a little oasis where you can unwind and feel the Greek joy of life. Absolutely recommended!

Christmas dinner December 25th 2024 Totally overwhelmed! Food bad. Warmed up fries. Some orders forgotten. Burnt appetizer! To pay, it's better to set up a machine like in the parking garage. That was also a disaster. Not again!!!!

If I didn't have beer I would have starved. Way too full and they keep letting more guests in. Prices have also increased extremely (be careful, beer Pils 0.5 L costs €5.50!) The food tasted good and fresh, but by the time it arrived you no longer had an appetite.

We had reserved the bowling alley today with 20 people. Without us being informed, the shop was closed unannounced. Unfortunately the same thing happened 2 years ago. That's more than unfortunate, because with so many people you can't get anything else so quickly. Unfortunately, this unreliability is unacceptable.

Really delicious food in a nice restaurant. I had the gyro plate, the gyro was mega. Unfortunately, a bit of saving was made on the side dishes and there could have been a little more of the delicious tzatziki. The prices are normal and do justice to the good taste. I'd love to come back.

Hello dear gyro lovers, the Poseidon restaurant offers stable cuisine at stable prices. I would especially like to praise the delicious gyros. I had the No. 69 (mixed grill plate) and was not disappointed. The meat was delicious and grilled to perfection. Unfortunately, the fries were few and far between and without ordering additional tzatziki, the sauce served with the dish ran out after 3 bites. We were eating with a larger group and the drinks and menus were brought to our table promptly. All in all, I will happily come back. Maybe I'll even get an extra fry.

We were transported to a loveless "hall"... which was not sufficiently heated. We were a group of 12 people, the food was bland, and then again at times we had to send it back... waiters were sometimes overwhelmed with their task. It's actually a shame because that's not how I remembered the restaurant.

We were there on Christmas Day and the food was cold. The boss was totally overwhelmed and very unfriendly. I won't eat there again.

The staff is unfriendly and seems totally overwhelmed. Saturday evening, the restaurant was full, just before Christmas. Nevertheless, you can be nice and friendly and not "throw" the food on the table in an unfriendly manner. Separate the bill, everyone pays for drinks and starters themselves. The main courses are billed as one bill, which was too much to ask for and the staff was completely overwhelmed (for 12 people). The food was carelessly prepared, but tasted good. Card payment only possible from 20 euros. Today I can pay for a roll at any bakery with a card. You should slowly learn to move with the times.

Really good food at reasonable prices. We have been here with various family members and the gyros were always juicy and crispy and the fries were fresh and hot. A recommendation if you have been to the zoo or are nearby. The service is also very quick and friendly. You can feel comfortable here!

Four of us were there on a Saturday. The restaurant was well attended and we received a friendly welcome despite the high number of visitors. After a short wait we were seated. Another waiter wanted to seat people who arrived later at a free table earlier, the boss saw this and intervened immediately, very commendable. After we sat down, a friendly lady picked up the drinks and another gentleman noted down the food a short time later. In our opinion this was very well organized. As a result, the drinks came promptly and the food came very quickly. The food all tasted very good, only the gyro was very rich in fat in our opinion. We will definitely continue to eat there.

First and last visit. I'll start with the positive. The ambience is very nice, there's a lot of effort put into it. I also liked the seating arrangement and especially the fact that they have high chairs for children. The swing in front of the restaurant is a bit battered, but not everyone has it, so I say it's great , Parking space for everyone is also great. Let's get to the negative part, I just found the staff extremely unsympathetic and listless, I didn't know where I had to pay because I'm a card payer, then tell me at the checkout I don't even know where I then walked back and forth with my wife and child like an idiot. As I said, first time in the restaurant. In my opinion, if you don't feel like working then go to the employment office and let people work who also feel like it and the customer too with a smile, can meet nicely. The starter was delicious, the tomato soup was good, not too little bread, I think that's good too, but at €6 for the soup, the bread can be crispy, well, I just thought the salad was good too There wasn't enough, it looked like it shouldn't be too expensive and it was kept very simple, not a single olive, no parsley for the look, no pepperoni, nothing very simple salad that you get with every snack. I had gyros with metaxa and cheese gratinated, Meat wasn't edible for me, 17€ for the dish and then it's full of fat, the sauce was great, I'm not saying the cheese is just cheese, cheese tastes good too but meat wasn't good. I ended up paying 70€ for 2 adults and one Child paid.

Very nice atmosphere and good food.

Were there today for the first and unfortunately the last time. The food was very carelessly prepared and the plates were more or less slammed onto the table. When we arrived we asked if it was possible to pay by card, it wasn't a problem, but when we wanted to pay separately we were asked rather harshly if we didn't have any cash. And I think the staff is only allowed to smile in the basement. Not nice.

I would be invited to a birthday party. A table was set up for us there. I was a little surprised when 6 out of 8 people took out their cigarettes and started smoking in the dining area. I was suddenly put in a situation that I hadn't experienced in almost 20 years. It was a huge room full of walls. If you want, you can experience the old days there. But don't forget to take your friends with asthma or heart disease with you.

The food was super tasty and the prices were great! The ambience is very large and beautifully done. Unfortunately we weren't that enthusiastic about the service, especially ordering the food took forever... and unfortunately the gentleman wasn't really friendly either. Very unfortunate! Unfortunately the side salad was super small. But the waiters were very nice. Since the food was delicious and the prices were good, we will come back. Hence a recommendation from us.

We have often eaten at Poseidon. Today we ordered and picked up food for 12 people for a birthday. Absolute recommendation! Everything was perfect, the guests were thrilled and the price/performance ratio was great! Many thanks to the Gumas family and team, it certainly wasn't the last time!

Very good restaurant with a diverse menu! From fish to meat to vegetarian, this Greek restaurant offers everything your heart desires. The majority of the dishes were freshly grilled and looked very good. I ordered a fish platter (€15.50), which came with boiled potatoes and a mixed farmer's salad. This dish was also freshly grilled and was more than worth the price. For dessert there was a sweet pancake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce garnished with some fruit. I also drank a few freshly tapped Bitburger Pils 0.3l from the barrel. These were also more than tasty.  My conclusion: Very tasty food Very good price-performance ratio Very hospitable and nice staff Waiting times for food and drinks were reasonable- Nice and clean atmosphere- 100% recommendation! We spent an absolutely lovely evening in this restaurant, it certainly wasn't the last!

We didn't go for a long time because we weren't happy. It was said at the time, but it was ignored quite gallantly. Well and good, we didn't come back. Now try it again many years ago. It was tasty and sufficient. The Metaxa sauce could use a little more oomph but it was okay. We will definitely come back.

The food, drinks and atmosphere were super tasty and inexpensive! So we were the last guests until closing time that evening and would love to come back!
