Very nice atmosphere and good food.

Were there today for the first and unfortunately the last time. The food was very carelessly prepared and the plates were more or less slammed onto the table. When we arrived we asked if it was possible to pay by card, it wasn't a problem, but when we wanted to pay separately we were asked rather harshly if we didn't have any cash. And I think the staff is only allowed to smile in the basement. Not nice.

Very, very good Greek food, portions are smaller but of the best quality. Service and staff 1A.

I would be invited to a birthday party. A table was set up for us there. I was a little surprised when 6 out of 8 people took out their cigarettes and started smoking in the dining area. I was suddenly put in a situation that I hadn't experienced in almost 20 years. It was a huge room full of walls. If you want, you can experience the old days there. But don't forget to take your friends with asthma or heart disease with you.

The food was super tasty and the prices were great! The ambience is very large and beautifully done. Unfortunately we weren't that enthusiastic about the service, especially ordering the food took forever... and unfortunately the gentleman wasn't really friendly either. Very unfortunate! Unfortunately the side salad was super small. But the waiters were very nice. Since the food was delicious and the prices were good, we will come back. Hence a recommendation from us.

We ate well and the service was very friendly. But we'll be back. It was very tasty again this evening. I can also recommend the trout. Until we see you again, it won't be long.

We have often eaten at Poseidon. Today we ordered and picked up food for 12 people for a birthday. Absolute recommendation! Everything was perfect, the guests were thrilled and the price/performance ratio was great! Many thanks to the Gumas family and team, it certainly wasn't the last time!

Very good restaurant with a diverse menu! From fish to meat to vegetarian, this Greek restaurant offers everything your heart desires. The majority of the dishes were freshly grilled and looked very good. I ordered a fish platter (€15.50), which came with boiled potatoes and a mixed farmer's salad. This dish was also freshly grilled and was more than worth the price. For dessert there was a sweet pancake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce garnished with some fruit. I also drank a few freshly tapped Bitburger Pils 0.3l from the barrel. These were also more than tasty.  My conclusion: Very tasty food Very good price-performance ratio Very hospitable and nice staff Waiting times for food and drinks were reasonable- Nice and clean atmosphere- 100% recommendation! We spent an absolutely lovely evening in this restaurant, it certainly wasn't the last!

The food was very, very tasty and plentiful. The service is sometimes a little slower, but still acceptable. It's a larger restaurant and you're not on the run. I missed the table decorations a bit, but that's also a matter of taste. We had a good meal, the prices were right - we'll definitely come back😊

We didn't go for a long time because we weren't happy. It was said at the time, but it was ignored quite gallantly. Well and good, we didn't come back. Now try it again many years ago. It was tasty and sufficient. The Metaxa sauce could use a little more oomph but it was okay. We will definitely come back.

Looking for a nice opportunity to satisfy one's hunger, we arrived at this restaurant, which looks inconspicuous from the outside. Once inside, the restaurant showed itself at its best. The food, drinks and atmosphere were super tasty and inexpensive! So we were the last guests until closing time that evening and would love to come back!

Unfortunately I didn't eat through twice. Staff was a bit overwhelmed Unfortunately, the parking lot is not very visible, which means you drive past it quickly.

For me it's still the best Greek in Krefeld.

Centrally located Greek restaurant. The ambience is a bit confused. The guest room is partly in an industrial look, partly in a Mediterranean, slightly Asian look, and then again has the flair of a rustic German pub. The service is friendly and has a sense of humor. Unfortunately, the food has a lot of room for improvement. The menu is a good size with typical meat-heavy Greek cuisine. However, the dishes are not that good in terms of craftsmanship. The gyros consists of large chunks of meat that aren't really brown or crispy. The bifteki hardly has any cheese filling because it seems to have already spilled out during frying. And of course, takeaway fries in Styrofoam containers become completely soggy after just 5 minutes.

It was my first time there and I was invited by friends. The ambience in the front area is very pleasant thanks to the bright, open roof and the very nice upholstered chairs. In the middle and back area it was darker and the seating wasn't as nice. The food was tasty and plenty. The service was a bit complicated because not every waiter was allowed to do everything. So we had to wait a little longer until we could place our order and the same thing later when paying. The drinks and food came very quickly. Overall recommended. P.S.: The lamb chops are wonderful.

I was there twice and had both very good and negative experiences. On the first visit with a friend, the staff seemed very stressed and not very attentive. The second time, at a larger celebration, things looked completely different. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed the food wonderfully. Rustic and well-preserved atmosphere. Very large restaurant with winter garden, child-friendly. I've known it since I was a child because my family always ate there.

We really enjoy going out for Greek food and know every Greek restaurant in the larger area. But Poseidon beats them all. Exceptionally delicious food in a fantastic ambience (a wonderful winter garden). Everything is fresh and beautifully prepared to perfection. A pleasure, delicious!!! The service team is also admirable. Friendly and attentive. Visiting friends. Our search is over. Poseidon is the restaurant we have always been looking for. Just great.

We went for dinner with a group of 15 people. The orders were taken quickly. The drinks were on the table quickly. The staff is very friendly and nice. The ambience of this restaurant is completely lost due to its size. Unfortunately, the cosiness of a Greek restaurant is not there. After an acceptable waiting time, the food arrived very warm to everyone. Food and drinks are of good quality. Prices are completely acceptable. It was a beautiful evening.

Not recommended for allergy sufferers. There are no allergens on the menu, although they are subject to mandatory labeling. After complaining about the food, there was no apology from the staff.

Nach vielen Jahren haben wir mal wieder einen Versuch unternommen. Und es wir ein letzter Versuch bleiben. Das weibliche Servicepersonal ist freundlich, auch wenn nicht überragend- aber die Männer durchweg unfreundlich. Essen gibt es bei div. Griechen wesentlich besser. . Gyros? In gefrorenem Zustand geschnittenes Fleisch, zäh und von Gyros meilenweit entfern…. Alles andere essbar- mehr auch nicht. Zahlen mit Karte? Unerwünscht. Man wird unfreundlich aufgefordert, mit nach vorn zu kommen. Schade….

Let's make it short: The food is standard, or OK. Nothing dramatic. Something was forgotten here and there during the service, but what was the ultimate insolence was that we had to wait at the table for 1 hour and 15 minutes after ordering. We are used to having to wait “longer” times, but more than an hour is not acceptable. Unfortunately it was the last time.

Our starter came relatively quickly. Afterwards we waited 1 1/2 hours and were told that our food would arrive soon. After another half hour we got up and asked for the bill. Because our food still wasn't there. An apology was made, but nothing happened. I won't be going there any time soon. Update Today we were at Poseidon in Krefeld. The food was super tasty. The service was very good. Gladly again.

So there was really nothing wrong here! Fries like they were fried twice, gyros over-baked under everything... and starters way too greasy with ready-made sauce and dressing. Never ever again...

Difficult parking situation, it's possible in the small, distant side streets. Very large restaurant with many tables. Unusually many guests and therefore loud and uncomfortable. The ambience is strongly influenced negatively by the size of the lacation. The table at our place was slightly sticky. But it was cleaned afterwards. The food and service good. Fast, friendly service given the large number of guests. Reservation is definitely recommended. Conclusion: It was a nice evening with friends (unfortunately a bit loud and uncomfortable due to the full restaurant) with good food and moderate prices with friendly service.

Really unfriendly, rude service and staff. They told us to be ready at 6:30pm for our 7:00pm reservation. For this reason they made us wait for our table. The floor is oily and slippery. The air is musty. I'm not sure about the quality of the food since we didn't wait any longer.

Sorry, but once and never again. Waiters have to get past the toilets with the food, where the doors are also wide open. The toilets themselves, super disgusting, left behind, there were still floating around and there were a few drops on the glasses. Food was quite ok, but I expected more, especially fresh mushrooms and none from a can, where only three jumped out and got lost on my plate, and they were also very carelessly prepared. Then both doors plus the air conditioning were on and now it's getting cold again in the evening, all three measures together... pointless. I was freezing the whole time... However, our waitress was very friendly and attentive, but unfortunately that is the only positive thing about the place. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

It was a good and tasty meal. But the waiters leave a lot to be desired. No smiles, just long faces. A bright spot was a waitress, she was very friendly and smiled. It was probably too annoying for everyone else. Here, dog eat, pay and go It's a shame, I always enjoyed eating there...

We used to go to Poseidon often. The visit is no longer worth it now. Very crowded, very noisy. The food is no longer as tasty as it used to be. The bigger the restaurant, the more the quality suffers. You get something different than what you ordered. Better small and good quality.

I don't understand how you can't be happy here! We called at 5.45pm and asked for a table at 6pm for two people. We were told we could come there. When I got there I immediately saw that everything was very full. The waiter then showed us our place. I was prepared to wait an hour for the food but nothing because at 6.40 p.m. we had already eaten our starter and were there turn to the main course! Super satisfied, very tasty food, service impeccable despite the full house. We will be happy to come back!

Unfortunately our visit to the restaurant was disappointing. Despite waiting for an hour and a half, the baked bifteki was barely noticeable, as can be seen in the attached picture. I was here for the first time yesterday. But unfortunately I have to say... That's the last time for me too! Here was... Sad really!!! But I didn't feel comfortable here at all. The food went like this... Not exactly where I WOW!!! would say... Or that I absolutely have to go there again... I had menu 75. And my girlfriend had menu 215. I don't know... somehow I felt like I was in Rhodes again. Since unfortunately I can no longer change my skin color in this life and the Greeks and Turks simply cannot manage to accept or even like us Turks!? Unfortunately, I can't recommend this store to people who look similar to me! I was constantly being watched in a strange way and later at the checkout the impossible happened!!! The waiter at the checkout next to me asked his colleague which table I had, as if I hadn't even been there, but that would still have been fine, only he said it in Greek and unfortunately he said one word, which wasn't so nice was. MALAKA!!! I FIND THIS BEHAVIOR ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! ANTISOCIAL !!! No worries ! That was the last time that 1 Turk came to you! There were eight of us. Everyone was very happy with the food. Service was stressed, which unfortunately showed in the mood. Boss was rude when cashing out. But would come back because of the good food.

+ Food tasty and rich. + large parking lot - Service unfriendly and reordering drinks almost impossible. - Salad plate with fingerprints all over on sticky table. - The bench in the restaurant creaks so much that you don't dare move. - Atmosphere uncomfortable and old-fashioned. CONCLUSION: - Takeaway food, yes. - Never eat on site again.

I was here for the first time recently. It's very big! 😎👍 First my companion and I were in a kind of winter garden. There was a smoking and a non-smoking area. Unfortunately we didn't have a reservation and it was busy (it was a Thursday evening). We were led into another area that seemed very rustic. Not bad, but I liked the rooms we were in first more. BUT we didn't have a reservation. 🙂😉 We were served immediately, friendly. 👍 The drinks came quickly, we didn't have to wait long for our ordered food, EVEN THOUGH it was really full - GREAT KITCHEN! 👍👍👍 The portions were good (large), everything was very tasty! 😋😋 The price/performance ratio is also right! 👍 WE WILL BE BACK! 😃😊😋😋 P.S. Gestern waren wir auf ein gemütliches Abendessen zum ersten Mal im Poseidon. Leider wurde nichts daraus. Das Lokal ist ungemütlich und laut, eine abgerockte Einrichtung aus den 70ern. Selten wurden wir unfreundlicher bedient, Der warme Wein wurde nach den Speisen serviert. Das glich sich aber aus, denn die Pommes waren kalt. Der Rest schmeckte auch nicht; das Taramas war wirklich grauenhaft. Was uns überrascht hat, war, dass dieses Restaurant trotzdem gut besucht war. Wir gehen sicher nicht mehr hin.

Yesterday we had a cozy dinner at Poseidon for the first time. Unfortunately nothing came of it. The place is uncomfortable and loud, a rocky establishment from the 70s. We have rarely received less friendly service. The warm wine was served after the food. But that made up for it because the fries were cold. The rest didn't taste good either; the Taramas was really horrible. What surprised us was that this restaurant was still busy, even though it was a Saturday evening. We're definitely not going there anymore.

As always, everything was great, the atmosphere was great and the food was world-class.

Seit Jahren gehen wir dort gerne Essen. Waren bis jetzt immer zufrieden. Man wird freundlich bedient, Portionen sind gut, Preislich ist es das wert.

rustikal schönes Restaurant mit einer schönen karte. alles was ich bisher gegessen habe, hat einfach lecker geschmeckt. schön ist, dass man in einem Bereich (überdachter Wintergarten mit zu öffnenden seitenelementen) sich wie draussen fühlt. mit allen Vorteilen!! parken kann man auch super

Waren zum Weihnachtsessen da, das Service Personal komplett überfordert. Dafür hat es in der Küche funktioniert. Wir haben 30 Minuten gewartet bis unsere Getränke Bestellung aufgenommen wurde, weitere 40 Minuten bis sich jemand bereit erklärt hat unsere Essens Bestellung entgegen zu nehmen, von Bestellung bis Lieferung an dem Tisch 16 Minuten - in der Küche scheint alles geklappt zu haben. Restaurant überfüllt. Und für einen Griechen kein tsipouro...

Moin. Am gestrigen Abend das erste mal hier gewesen. Die Bedienung wirke ein wenig lustlos, aber sonst war alles super. Wir sind eigentlich Lukullus Gäste. Aber nach dem gestrigen Abend wird es sich ändern. Das Essen war der Hammer. Tolles schmackhaftes Fleisch. Wir saßen ganze 4,5 Stunden dort. Wir haben uns sehr wohle gefühlt. Danke.

Wir waren heute auch im Poseidon. Bis auf das gute Essen können wir aber leider nur die negativen Bewertungen bestätigen. Natürlich haben wir unseren Unmut direkt im Restaurant angesprochen, doch leider nimmt man sich nichts davon an. Nach der Aussage " Jede negative Bewertung ist eine gute Werbung" möchte ich natürlich gerne diesem Wunsch nachkommen und verfasse daher hiermit meine allererste Google Rezension: Wir haben einen Tisch für 19 Uhr reserviert. Leider war der Tisch noch nicht frei, so dass wir noch 20 Minuten an der Theke"im Weg" rumstehen mussten. Der Eindruck der Theke war schon gruselig, überfüllt mit dreckigen Gläsern. Hier hätte man z.B. den wartenden Gästen besser ein Getränk für die Wartezeit anbieten können. Nach 20 Minuten und mehrfachen nachfragen konnten wir dann endlich an einem Tisch Platz nehmen, der gerade frei geworden ist. Der Raum war aber wirklich gruselig abgerockt.🫣 Getränke wurden dann schnell aufgenommen und auch gebracht. Danke an die Mädels, die wirklich nett und zuvorkommend waren. 👍 Tja, und dann hieß es: dumdidumdidum.....40 Minuten warten und warten und warten, dass wir dann endlich unsere Essensbestellung aufgeben durften. Bei der Bestellung haben wir dann gefragt, wie lange die Wartezeite aufs Essen denn heute wäre. Hier wollte sich die (nette) Dame für heute nicht festlegen (kann ich sogar verstehen;-)) Darauf mischte sich der (Chef-) Kellner ein und meinte, dass das Essen nicht länger als 30-40 Minuten dauern würde. Im Weggehen brummte er sich dann noch etwas recht Unfreundliches in den nicht vorhandenen Bart. Mittlerweile beschwerten sich auch andere Tische bei ihm und anstatt deeskalierend auf die Gäste einzugehen wurde der Umgang immer aggressiver, so dass auch ein großer Tisch aufgestanden und gegangen ist....Die Art der Gesprächsführung dieses Herrn mit den Gästen ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig und ist eigentlich eines TraditonsRestaurants nicht würdig. Das Essen kam dann auch nicht nach der versprochen Zeit, sondern erst nach über 1 Stunde. Dafür war das Essen aber wirklich richtig lecker. Ein großes Lob geht an die Küche! Ich habe vollstes Verständnis das an einem 2. Weihnachtstag nicht alles rund läuft, aber dann muss man das einfach mit dem freundlichen Umgang mit den Gästen auffangen und vielleicht auch einfach mal 30 Plätze weniger annehmen. Sowas haben wir noch nie erlebt. Schade! Auf dem Weg zur Toilette und im Gasthaus durften wir dann noch das Kunstwerk aus dreckigen Geschirr gestapelt auf dem Boden und Tischen bewundern. Beuys lässt grüßen....

Sehr schönes griechisches Restaurant mit traditioneller Küche!!

Wir waren hier Gäste eines Geburtstages. Das Ambiente ( Raum hinten ) war wirklich komplett abgerockt. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Service jedoch grauenhaft. Der Kellner war so gelangweilt und unhöflich. Getränke dauerten ewig obwohl nicht viel los war. So verdient man jedenfalls kein Geld. Als ich mir Karte zahlen wollte wurde ich gefragt warum ich kein Bargeld dabei habe?

Waren dort zum Essen mit den RSV-Eisstock Verein es war so voll das wir auf der Kegelbahn Essen mussten, das Essen war gut, das Ambiente sehr schlecht, der Service ging so.

Insgesamt war ich sehr zufrieden. Das Essen (moussaka) war sehr gut und sehr lecker. Was ich vermisste war wer der mal schaut ob noch Getränke vorhanden sind. Auch Toilette sehr sauber. Personal freundlich

Wie immer bestes Essen ! Lange nicht da gewesen und wie immer Klasse Essen tolles Ambiente und nettes Personal rundherum zufrieden!

Wenn man hier kein Stammkunde ist, wird man aufs Abstellgleis gesetzt. Wir waren nun zwei mal da und uns wurde beide Male ein Tisch in der hintersten Dunkelkammer zugeteilt. Essen geht so. Nichts besonderes. Keller kam nur ab und an mal gucken, ob wir was brauchten. Tisch abräumen nach dem Essen hat ewig gedauert. Der Wirt schreibt gerne mal ein paar Bier mehr auf die Rechnung, obwohl man sie nicht bestellt hat.

Essen ist ganz OK für mich....besser geht ja immer.

Unser Lieblings- Restaurant für griechische Köstlichkeiten. Wir kommen regelmäßig her und das schönste für eine Deutsche Familie ist die hier gebotene Beständigkeit. Das Essen hat immer eine gleich bleibende hervorragende Qualität, das Personal ist herzlich und sehr zuvorkommend, das Restaurant ist immer sehr sauber und macht einen ordentlichen Eindruck, aber trotzdem ist es hier gemütlich. Wenn griechisch, dann hier 🙏

Il mio voto è limitato dal fatto che non ho potuto provare diversi piatti rispetto al menù ricco e variegato. La nostra grigliata x 4 persone era molto abbondante e in particolare l'agnello era molto tenero e saporito.

Das essen war super.Gehen öfter da hin und bis jetzt immer zufrieden.Es ist auch nicht wenig auf dem Teller. Was mir aufgefallen ist wenn es voll ist wird des öfteren was vergessen und das kommt dann wenn man schon fast fertig ist mit essen. Preise sind nicht zu teuer.
